2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Blame Game in gambling on: March 09, 2022, 03:55:29 AM
Heartbroken parents say Hull teacher was victim of 'predatory' gambling industry. Whom to blame for this sad incident ?

Why not try to find the root cause here first. Where were the parents when their 16 years old son was addicted to gambling ? They should have monitored his activities and this situation would not have raised. You cannot blame the doctors on insufficient medical treatments when the son could have be taught at home to avoid excessive gambling. I would consider it a negligence on parents behalf as it was their first duty to keep an eye on their children.
In our culture gambling is a cure. People are forbidden to gamble, it is strictly not accepted in our religion as well. As per Our religious and cultural teachings  to much gambling  brings an unnecessary stress to the nevers and make a person weak inside. It makes you rich in a jiffy or it makes you a beggar in the other moment. Also easy come, easy go. There is no bless in that money and one loses the money as easily as the way they get it.  I personally believe one should be very careful indulging in self destructive activities.

If in your culture and religion, gambling is prohibited then why are you wearing a gambling signature and promoting gambling? So do you think this income from gambling will be considered as a good income for you?

Same is our stance on everything in life including gambling. We do whatever we like but we do not want our children to do the same things. If parents didn't gamble in the first place, there are fewer chances of their children doing the same.
2262  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Mastercard and Visa Cards Issued in Russia Unavailable on Binance on: March 08, 2022, 04:33:57 PM
Binance will stop the acceptance of visa and mastercards in russia. Does this mean that they do not want the russians to convert their money into crypto or are they planning to completely ban the exchange for the russian users ?

CZ told that this move was not in their control meaning there was external pressure on binance for this action ?

More details:-
Binance To Stop Accepting Mastercard, Visa Cards in Russia

Lol! Visa and Mastercard has banned their services in Russia and that's why Binance has no choice but to reatrict visa and Mastercard for their Russian clients. It's not a choice of Binance, rather it's a part of the ongoing sanctions.

Please change the thread title to correct the perspective. Otherwise it sounds like Binance has banned these all, which is obviously not true!

Thank you for pointing this out. I have changed the title so it is not misleading anymore and people do not get the wrong perception about binance. Also, i have updated the OP with this official announcement.

A lot of times I see problems like this. Especially when too much of users start posting on the forum together. like when bounty manager Bounty Detective post a campaign then many bounty hunters start POA posting together. And then there is such an effect on the whole forum. I could not login my account for this problem yesterday. And I've heard it happened to a few more people. what wrong with Bitcointalk?  it is happen for low configuration hosting server? Or is this the problem with my smartphone?

This should not happen unless you are opening / reloading a lot of tabs together and refreshing bitcointalk pages many times simultaneously.
The more concerning thing is that you have written that you face this problem often. Try to open only a single bitcointalk page at a time and see if the situation improves ?  Did changing the internet connection helps ? (connect your pc with mobile hotspot if you do not have extra internet connection)
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: EBAY might accept BITCOIN on: March 07, 2022, 12:02:35 PM
Hey guys theres a news article stating that ebay might be accepting Bitcoin and other cryptos, if this happens then I believe itll be a game changer for the crypto world. Not sure how credible the article is , has anyone else heard anything similar. Also there was mention of an announcement on march 10 to confirm this. If positive,  We could see a new high even in these times uncertainty .

Where did you read this news? Do you have any link to the news where we can check how reliable is this information? Personally, i  would like Ebay to accept bitcoin but i would not believe this news unless it came from the official eBay channel. How many times in the past we have seen such false news and then after a few days we hear from companies' official accounts that there was no truth in the news and it was just the rumor spread publicly.

Other than that, listing the token in an exchange requires a pretty huge amount of money.

Do you think it will be difficult for owl team to spend that amount of money on listing on a centralized exchange ? They are not a startup project which lack funds. They are generating good amount of money from their gambling site. Also they are running a signature campaign here and paying the participants on weekly basis. As far as i understand this, the money should not be a problem for them. Listed on centralized exchanges will give boost to the token price as well which indirectly will help the owl team.
2267  Economy / Gambling / Re: FreeBitco.in-$200 FreeBTC⭐Win Lambo🔥0.2BTC DailyJackpot🏆$32,500 Wager Contest on: March 07, 2022, 09:04:46 AM
This is the faucet that I have known for so long it makes me kind a regret not using it continuously back in my newbie days and holding it,
I wonder if I would be holding a whole BTC right now if I haven't stop from using this and withdrawing most of my earning from their captcha.
I remember spamming my referral code back then but I was too late and most of my crypto friends are already on the site.
My goal back then was to win on their lottery but I got tired since I used their site for too long without even winning.

Ok, let's look at that....

Back in the day, Freebitco.in gave 1000 Satoshi per hour... for this argument, let's say it kept on doing that. There are 100 000 000 Satoshi in 1 bitcoin divided by 1000 Satoshi = 100 000 times you need to get 1000 Satoshi per hour. Let's say you managed 10 per day = 10 000 days you will need to get to 1 full Bitcoin from the faucet. (10 000 days = 27.40 years)

So, looking at the current 50 or so Satoshi people receive now.... it might take 100+ years to get 1 full bitcoin from Freebitco.in  Grin Grin Grin   (It might be better to get a second job and to convert that income into bitcoins.... you will reach that 1 bitcoin a lot faster that way)  Grin

Yes, making 1 full bitcoin alone from faucet is an impossible task. However, 1000 satoshi per hour was not bad either. If bitcoin is near all time high price of 65000+, this 1000 satoshi will equal to half a dollar. If you just did captcha for 10 times a day, you would have made 5$ a day provided you did not sell in those early days.
People use this captcha for fun only and i don't think there would be anyone who was purposely working on this captcha thing on FreeBitco in 2015/16 to save those satoshi to sell in present days.
2268  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Currency Game on: March 07, 2022, 08:51:39 AM
Actually I was trying to know if such game exist. I like to play such game if it exist. I have seen other bet games but not seen the Bitcoin game.

And I was referring to a game called "Crypto currencies Game".

Your question is still not clear. Are you looking for a P2P betting game which is truly decentralized exists on block chain and there is no producer (the centralized platform which give you interface to place the bet ) ?

By the way, all or most of the gambling / betting games discussed on bitcointalk are crypto games though none is termed exactly as "Crypto currencies Game".
2269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚨 BCH.games | No bullshit casino | Cashout in 3 seconds | New game live on: March 07, 2022, 07:13:39 AM
I tried your website with the free BCH I have received from faucet and tried the tower, I managed to win x30+ I tested out your games and I liked it. I would like to ask if you don't have any restriction in any country? for example I am using VPN from some country like US, Russia or something like that?

Hi! Congrats on the 30x and the withdrawal with no deposit!

Does it mean that we can create an account on BCH.games , use faucet to get some free coins, play with them and if we are able to make profit, we can cash out / withdrawal without any deposit or wagering requirements ?

If that is the case, then i may create and account there and try my luck too.  Usually gambling sites do not give free money withdrawals so easy, this can be one of the interesting feature of BCH.games.
2270  Economy / Gambling / Re: Join a collective boycott of all Russian gambling platforms on: March 07, 2022, 06:17:55 AM
Russian gambling site list is so long. Although i am not familiar with those of sites without 1xbet. I don’t know by boycotting these gambling sites, who will be benefited or the war will be end? Because if somehow stop those sites many users will be affected not only Russian users. And those sites are developed by some of peoples money not government (Putin) own money.
it is not about players of the site but the thing this can give to the Russian government and that will bring help to them funding their War against Ukraine so let us do the things that may Hinder them from earning more funds.
I am not against everyone not wanting this to happen but of course we can make this all for the Humanity .
the war is not helping everyone instead this will make the world bad than what we are having now.
so lets partake in this run and surely we will all benefits from this.

The earning from the gambling sites does not go to the russian government. The gambling casino may give certain percentage of the profit as a tax to government and i don't think this tax is too much that you can initiate or run a war with that fund. Thinking in depth, i think that there will be no change on the overall condition of the war even if we ban the gambling sites. We need to think on more practical ways through which we can contribute to stop this war.
2271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: March 07, 2022, 05:14:04 AM
The debates will likely be ended up positive and it favors Bitcoin adoption than banning it. I see no reason why Russia will close a deal over Bitcoin as they know, the Presidents knows what seems best for their citizen, it was the internet that gives life now and this Bitcoin gives more.

If they are into concern about economic improvement, the existence of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have more to add. We can see a lot of people change their lives after investing in Bitcoin and that could prove the value of Bitcoin today and in the future.
Indeed, they are now accepting Bitcoin. It certainly change their minds knowing the fact that Bitcoin is not a threat to the economy but it was a helping tool to grow instead. The people from Russia have been so hopeful to have this and seeing the support from the government will eventually boost their courage and go for adoption.

Just like many countries, Bitcoin somehow helps people's lives, giving them hope to improve their living, and Banning Bitcoin is really not a helpful decision but it only makes people hate the government.
Politicians sell themselves as idealist, however they are for the most part incredibly pragmatic, basically if something works against their interests they are going to be against it, and if it works in their favor then they will embrace it, with all the sanctions Russia is facing then they need an alternative and while without a doubt they did their homework and prepared themselves for the harsh economic sanctions they received, they are now seeing if they can use bitcoin for their benefit, so I am not surprised they are embracing it at all.

No matter what is the stance on bitcoin for both Russian and Ukraine governments, one thing they must have realized by now is that bitcoin does not lose its value as much as the local fiat currency in war situations.
Both these governments have realized this by now and they may take steps to regulate the crypto in near future. People need to change their mindset about cryptocurrencies.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Centralised Exchanges are the Biggest Enemies of Bitcoin on: March 06, 2022, 07:32:38 PM
I dont see the threat of Centralised exchange in this fashion, they actually dont request for tax, the government collect tax after that transaction fee Recently, Binance improve to help save transactions in a year and sum all the trade to know the actually amount as profit and tax. Most restricted IP are base on the countries and their regulations, Exchanges are forced to do that.

Right now most governments can't collect taxes on crypto because they have not legalized it. However, since the exchanges have our KYC, imposing tax on the individuals will not be an issue. The exchanges can hand over all the data to the government if they demand it.

the main drawback of centralized exchanges is that access can be closed at any time and the account balance is gone, but this rarely happens, there are enough topics in other sections. I have an extremely negative attitude towards most cex exchanges, I try to trade on dex where I always have access to my wallet.

That's the risk that comes with centralization. You should only put that money on exchanges, which you want to trade. Excessive money should not be put on the exchanges.
2273  Economy / Gambling / Re: MintDice – Bitcoin Casino With Online Slots, Bitcoin Crash & Bitcoin Investment on: March 06, 2022, 06:52:12 PM
It's not a dying website, quite the opposite. We've just been entirely focused on building out our infrastructure over marketing in the mean time. We'll be making a bigger push to marketing once our platform is developed enough to a level that suits our needs. Anyone that uses our website in the mean time is more than welcome to enjoy the experience as we continuously upgrade and improve the user experience, but it's not mandatory in the mean time Smiley We're very much not short term profit driven, we're in it for the long run.

Good to see the official verdict on the progress of the site. Since you said your focus will be on marketing, so how about starting a long term signature campaign here on this platform ? Those gambling projects who have a long term campaigns on bitcointalk are doing good business as they get a lot of players from bitcointalk. MintDice  can follow the same practices and gain more popularity,

2275  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 06, 2022, 03:01:29 PM

This is based on my own observations around popular casinos in this forum, this forum doesn't endorse/force new casinos to have good announcement or run advertisements (e.g. signature campaign, contest etc).

tl;dr you need to have huge money to start new casino, understand the forum rules, prepare good announcement, finished your sites with complete informations, be active, run various advertisements, don't too strict, don't hire paid shills, and have a licenses.

Sometimes it is hard for the casino owners to publish, maintain the ANN threads and also it is not very easy to start signature marketing campaign by themselves. What they can do preferably, is to hire an experienced manager here who can not only handle the signature campaigns for that gambling site but at the same time, he can use his resources to develop a perfect attractive ann thread.

Have anyone tried to claim the airdrops at https://owl.games/airdrop. They have a good variety of airdrops listed there.
Interesting. Where can we see the list of task?
Pardon for the question, I'm not yet a member of the casino, I'm still making myself familiar to it so maybe I could play later.

Am I right, Owl token and OWLDAO is just one? I was just recently accepted to their campaign, I want to gather some info about the token too. I'm just new on receiving BSC tokens on signature campaigns.

You can participate in their recent giveaway and by doing simple tasks defined, you can be eligible for the reward of 1000$ of OWL token to be distributed in 100 users.

You can find the complete details of this promotion on their twitter handle.

2277  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $30k the bottom for this dip? on: March 06, 2022, 09:01:22 AM
I don't think the bitcoin price will drop further to the $30k level although in recent times the bitcoin price has decreased slightly where the bitcoin price has dropped to the $38k level. I see the current downward trend is only temporary because the potential for the market to return to bullish is still possible.
Lol wait if the war in Europe happens , then even 20k will be on our way, remember that this is involving one of the most powerful country in the world(Russia) so the effect will surely cover all businesses and markets and including cryptocurrency .

No one can say what will be the exact botton. 34-35K could be the bottom before we see the next all time high. If there is a war and other crises, fundamentally bad news can push it to 20-25K also. Nothing is impossible when it comes to bitcoin price. It may reach 100 thousand dollars or it may reach 10,000$. No can can predict the top and bottom of bitcoin.
2278  Other / Meta / Re: NFT listing should go under Digital Goods or Collectibles? on: March 05, 2022, 05:15:39 AM
As there are no NFT in bitcoin blockchain, all NFT should be discussed in altcoin related forums.

In fact, the oldest NFTs were on the bitcoin blockchain.  The origin assets of the digital antiquities market (NFTs)

https://rarepepewallet.com/

Quote

Bitcoin (via the Counterparty internet protocol) played a very dominant role in the very earliest of NFTs/tokenised assets. This was then followed by a strong shift of focus and activity to the Ethereum chain. Given this history, I have divided the NFT emergence period into what I’ve described as the ‘golden era of NFTs’ (2014–2016) and the ‘silver era of NFTs’ (2017 onwards).

I just don't understand how they claim that those are NFT based on the bitcoin blockchain. Just check their site https://rarepepes.com/ and you will see that all the NFT are listed in Ethereum means you can buy/sell them in Ethereum and not in bitcoins.

Marketplace (Altcoins) is the best place to list them.

There is no second chance for ban evasion and plagiarist content. Everyone should need to know the rules otherwise they have to pay the price for ignorance.

This Ladoda name is not my account. My question is if I use your weekly report, will you also be called Bounty Chatter? Please first check if the account is mine. As far as plagiarism is concerned, I follow seniors because they know better than us who deserves the award.
Sadly, no one can know anyone's heart. I'm not the kind of person I've heard of here.

Ok lets suppose you are not linked with Ladoda account. For a moment also forget about the plagiarism. Do you agree that banned account nadir1 belongs to you ? If so, then you are accused of ban evasion, which means that if your account is banned , you are banned as a person and you are not allowed to make any more accounts on bitcointalk.org
