2261  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Power Slap League on: January 28, 2023, 02:07:02 AM
Recently, I saw a video where one participant has blood on his nose and his right face is some sort of deformity. I think this kind of sport is getting worse, unlike before when it was okay to watch. I can't take to watching any of those videos anymore, although I am watching MMA, in which the fights are bloody, but I find that slapping sports are not good. For sure, on a Russian sports betting website they already have this, but for the existing sports betting right now, I think they are just preparing to add it as it is a new sport, so for sure they are already starting to implement it.
2262  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Anyone out there doing money by trading? How? on: January 27, 2023, 05:47:15 PM
The more I learn I am kind of coming to conclusion that trading in the long run is not profitable. I mean I don't know any single person who is doing decent amount of money for living by trading in crypto. Hence the question: do you know anyone who is successful trading in crypto? or are you doing well by trading crypto?
You mean anyone here who is making money through trading? Of course there are tons and thousands of people that are making some good profit by trading coins. You don't hear about them because, they trade, make profit and is happy. You only hear about those that lose their money because they are the ones that comes here and starts venting how trading caused them to lose everything. And also it isn't as easy as you think. You won't always be making profit. There will be times were you do end up losing money. That's the risk that comes with trading.

People lose because they are expecting to much a huge return on their trades, their action about posting their negative sentiments is normal because they just want to vent out their emotions on what bad lose they experience. But actually those winners are pretty much silent about what their achievement since they remain focus and steady on their trades.

Venting out is normal as we feel emotion but if you keep ranting and stating bad things about it then it is not good. Though losses are not always about the trader thinking always profit, others just hastily put trade without following their strategy. Every loss is a lesson to a good trader since they are always learning from it but those who are bad traders always rant. On the other hand, those winners some are boasting their profit and some are just silent and just observing.
2263  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Advantage of accepting bitcoin in business on: January 27, 2023, 03:57:45 PM
In Nigeria, Bitcoin is very popular since other payment methods such as Paypal are banned and have difficulties sending money there. So I am not shocked by it, and I am just happy that a landlord like you is accepting bitcoin to pay the rent. It would be an easy transaction as there is no actual cash involved, and you will not see him on a monthly basis to collect rent. I am hoping that your other tenants will follow, or any new ones. Also, a quick question: how many people are currently paying you in bitcoin? Are there any new tenants that want to pay in bitcoin or cryptocurrency?
2264  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Too accessible of online casino grows addiction faster? on: January 27, 2023, 02:40:23 PM
It still depends on the person if he/she cant control himself but the right word is very prone to addiction as playing in a casino is now accessible unlike before when you need to plan your day or when you will be visiting the casino. It is really because of the pandemic a lot of people migrated from offline to online. There are still features in online casinos that won't get you addicted like monitoring you if you are spending a lot of time and money then after that they will be forcing you to stop though this feature can be easily turned off. But again it is still on the people if he will continue to play even if he knows that he is getting addicted and not stop playing.
2265  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Approximately 384 Days until the next Bitcoin halving on: January 27, 2023, 01:34:23 PM
Take note also as other newbies are thinking that when there was a halving it doesn't mean that the price will then rises after a month and also it is huge. This will take time mostly I noticed that after halving the price will go up after 3 - 4 months which is a good sign and it will be making new ATH. But only this data was in the previous halving and it doesn't mean that it will be rising again next year as we can't predict the future. It has a possibility that first time in 5 years it will be hitting its all-time low instead of ATH. We should just invest what we can afford to lose and let's control our emotions in this situation.
2266  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: January 27, 2023, 12:19:46 PM
The massive awareness to keep bitcoins for as long as possible promotes people to develop the attitude of saving, just like saving money. Do you agree with this that people who are very good at saving money become very good at keeping bitcoins when they finally start doing cryptocurrency? Or do you feel that there is no similarity between keeping bitcoins and keeping money?

Fiat and cryptocurrency is very different. Storing fiat doesn't have any risk like volatility, but I don't want to store fiat in the first place because it doesn't have volatility unlike Bitcoin. But for a newbie, maybe he will have a hard time at first when he invested in cryptocurrency because it requires basic knowledge to know what you'll do in certain situations. The only thing I want about Bitcoin is I am sure that in the long run, it'll give me high profits that I couldn't find in fiat.

Storing your fiat in your home means you will make no profit because it will devalue over time, also storing it in a bank you will make a small profit over time, and the risk is very low. If you hold bitcoin, there is a risk, as it is now called an investment, but you will gain profit over time and it is bigger than storing your fiat in bank, but that doesn't mean that it is easy to get that profit. You will lose also, but this is good for risk-taking people compared to playing it safe, like storing money in a piggy bank or your local bank.
2267  Other / Off-topic / Re: White Card entered in Football !!! on: January 27, 2023, 06:10:17 AM
I am not fan in football but it is my first time seeing this and  also whats the meaning of this. So basically it was just like continue the game in fair play while there are medics in the crown to help someone right? So it wouldn't interrupt the game ? But this is not worldwide only on Portugal. At first when i saw this i thought it was a meme or someone just edit it but it is real. This is rare and also I wonder if there are still other color of cards that they made or possibly raised while in the game
2268  Economy / Economics / Re: Excessive Rain Can Hamper the Economic Cycle on: January 27, 2023, 04:52:26 AM
Economic cycle? This is a natural climatic disaster, it doesn't only disturbs the economic cycle but the complete life cycle of a certain place. A lot of people die and have to be relocated, not to forget even animals suffer a lot of deaths. People are abandoned and separated from their loved ones. So this is much more than just a disturbance in economic cycle.
I have to agree with you on this point. Flooding will not only destroy us economically, but the whole aspects of life are being damaged and ruined. The sad fact is we can’t do nothing about this even how much we say we are completely prepared. This is not just happening in your area OP, but in some countries as well. I just hope that the government have enough resources to extend assistance to all the flood victims.

We are just preparing those flooding but we dont do anything to prevent it like stop cutting trees and also planting a trees a lot , also only those NGOs are doing this. We also always blaming government on what disaster hit us and that they are not doing anything but our selves is that we dont take care of our environment, continue throwing garbage anywhere and also burning plastics. We can't really stop this this right now unless we act as a whole so that we can heal our only earth and again we are affected on it.
2269  Economy / Economics / Re: In your country, today is money the real root of all evil? on: January 27, 2023, 03:49:58 AM
Money is not the root of all evil, people are saying this because money is the first priority for all humans to have a good life, we need money to take care of our families and acquire more wealth too but I believe that lack of money is the root of all evil, the lack of not having money is why someone would decide to go and rob a bank or steal from someone else or do other evil things to achieve what they want.

Still lacking of money or having money is still root of evil as what youve said you are thinking of robbing a bank meaning you are still after money. Also if you have money and get rich but lonely you still do things that is bad. Whether what it is still it is the root of evil that is why others stays at the middle but there are still few people that are good hearted even though they are rich. I am hoping really on the humanity to be humane right now and dont always think of money
2270  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: You Learn More from Losses than from Wins on: January 27, 2023, 02:04:22 AM
Remember the first trading lesson you learned as a newbie? Did it come from a win or a loss? A loss teaches you about the reality of the market, protects you from becoming cocky, and humbles you. When you are a beginner trader, a small loss is not a terrible thing. Losses teach you proper trading risk management strategies and techniques and respect for the market and prepare you for long-term success.

Remember the first lesson you learned as a beginner trader? Did it come from a loss or a win?

The first lesson as a beginner trader is not to be lazy to add insight, you must have a clear trading plan and be able to control stop losses.
I agree with your opinion that actually from losses we can take meaningful learning.
But it depends on how the individual responds to the loss they experience.
Some of us think that losses are there to fix, not to be repeated.
But this actually also has to be accompanied by a strong mentality to survive.

Others who lost will be ranting, not reflecting on those losses, and not understanding why they lost. Mostly at first, we are really into winning and we forget our losses, but later on, that is where we learn the most valuable lesson: to see what the problem is and why you lost that trade. Also, having a good mental health is better because you can execute trades without being affected by your emotions, unlike others who let their emotions kick in and get greedy.
2271  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My step to promote bitcoin on: January 26, 2023, 01:13:15 PM
You have a good idea and a good motivation to spread awareness, but judging by your sticker, it is best not to put a slogan or anything? Like pure bitcoin, but with a QR code that redirects the user to the bitcoin website for them to read or a video that explains bitcoin? It appears to be another propaganda campaign for bitcoin, similar to a Ponzi scheme or something. However, your idea is great, and your initiative is commendable; and  having that sticker printed will cost you money. You can still put it on those who are willing to put it in their car, but make another version 2 of it and ask here in the forum. For sure, a lot of people here will suggest what is the best.
2272  Economy / Gambling / Re: What do you appreciate more Desktop or Phone on: January 26, 2023, 09:53:02 AM
If the gambling casino is in the phone for sure there are a lot of panels that need to find before getting into it and another thing is if you are a developer why not create a web application that's responsive enough to cater the needs of the players can do in desktop and can do even in the mobile application so less more hassle with it, and streamers can do with the web application with their streaming so can easily promote with the casino unlike phone quite little bit hassle so I do prefer the web.

if you can cover both, that would be better so you can get all types of gamblers. because for sure, some will use the mobile app for convenience, wheres, some will use desktop for better experience. but do take note that players can switch anytime depending on their situation.

I highly agree, it really depends on where you are and how you easily access the device. The only question is if the gambling site can be accessed using a phone and fully optimized. Before, I am having problems when accessing a gambling site and needed to use a Yandex browser.
The factory has properly configured the phone so users can use it right away without any problems. And if you encounter problems accessing gambling sites, it may be because your internet connection is having problems or you are on the blacklist of the casino site. Gamblers who use phones to play gambling and access the site without using an application feel comfortable when they visit it. Still, there may be a big difference, especially in terms of the screen display on the cellphone, which is smaller than a laptop or computer. But so far, mobile phones have provided comfort for their users when they visit many sites.

I don't see gambling websites right now that are not mobile friendly because, in today's generation, most people are using their mobile devices to play games, unlike before when those websites were not mobile friendly and you needed to play on a laptop or PC. What's best about mobile is that you can play anywhere as long as you have internet, though I would see using a laptop or desktop as more like playing in serious mode while being very comfortable while having a beer. Most of the reason you can't access the casino is because your internet provider blocks it in your country because gambling is illegal.
2273  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 26, 2023, 07:20:14 AM
For some people who reside in a rural area but choose to work in a metropolis, renting is not a waste of money. Renting is advantageous for single people since they can rent a single bedroom for a reasonable monthly fee. In contrast, it can be difficult for a family man to set aside enough money from his salary to cover both his rent and other monthly expenses.

Advantage if you are living away from the city as you can have a roof while away from your home but it is more advantageous if you own one. Also, there are more job opportunities in the cities than in rural that is why you need to go but the real problem is how do you own it? Assume you've been renting that apartment for nearly 15 years; since you don't own it, do you continue to pay for it or continue to rent it? Or you plan to buy an apartment on your own as you can save rent and also you can give it to your grandchildren in the future. The problem is that it is very expensive that not everyone can afford it so they don't have a choice just to pay rent.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big money bad for bitcoin in the long run on: January 26, 2023, 06:25:12 AM
Whales, or those who own a large amount of bitcoin, are not in the same mind as others, some of whom may sell and others who will hold for longer. This has also happened in the past when bitcoin reached new highs, others sold off, and the price fell. It is not only in bitcoin but all in the market; this is the cycle, and why are you scared? It was the opposite: those who left behind or continued holding are the stronger hands, as they continued holding no matter what, unlike those who sold earlier, and for sure they will be buying again.
2275  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What are your thoughts on revenge trading? on: January 26, 2023, 05:30:13 AM
Inexperienced traders are those who still practice revenge trading. It is better to let lost money go and focus on the future and that is why the chart is analysed for the future happening. Go to the market fresh after every closed trade and not to feel that you want to get back what was lost, you are going to allow your emotions decide what you should do instead of having a good grasp of the market analysis.
Controlling emotions is not important but necessary in trading, otherwise its going downhill no matter what. Most newbies are making this mistake more often than it gets reported on this forum but I guess veteran traders are also prone to making the same. So it should be a lesson for every one who is involved in actively trading at current times.

No amount of emotionally driven trades would recover money lost. In spot trading you still own the opposite asset which you can sell in future, so all is not lost. In other forms of trading, which is basically an EV- game, you are out of luck and you should not try to chase the loss.
Emotional handling is really that very crucial and not only on trading but also in other aspects in life too on which you should really be having that good control of it because if not then you would really be finding

yourself into big or deep trouble just because you had just become that impulsive in towards your decisions just because you had just let out that emotion control your mind
which it would really be that normal that you would be trying out to find on what are the sensible things to be done.

Dont make yourself find out on having that revenge emotion because it would really just mess up entirely your analysis.

If you let your emotions control you, you'll get into a lot of trouble. For example, if you feel happy spending money on wants, if you let that happiness ruin you, you'll keep buying things. Similarly, if you are greedy and get overwhelmed by winnings or losses, you will now trade with larger lot sizes. I've read also in a book that we should act like machines or computers, where no emotions kick in, only algorithms, and find the best solutions to a particular situation. If we can really do that, we won't get into any trouble.
2276  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: The right mindset needed for all traders on: January 26, 2023, 04:20:12 AM
Staying at home has helped me to study and learn and today, i will be referencing the key virtues that is learnable to be a trader

Trading psychology refers to mental or emotional state that defines or dictates if a trader win or lose.

We thought  at first to win trade is mostly because of having that winning strategy but later on, when you have that strategy your emotions start to kick in like you are having difficulty taking trades or stopping the loss as our emotions controling us. Trading is also about our emotions on how we can successfully control them as it will drive us to do unnecessary things like being greedy which leads to losses. If we have a strategy on how to control our emotions like we have before we trade then for sure it would be 100% successful to execute a trade and we can have a higher percentage of winning.
2277  Economy / Economics / Re: Keeping money and keeping bitcoins? are they similar? on: January 26, 2023, 03:25:13 AM
Bitcoin is still money, so a person who wants to save can apply those strategies or techniques on how to save money using bitcoin. There are differences in spending; for example, in the traditional system, if you have a spare coin or money, you will save it or put it in the piggy bank, whereas in bitcoin, you cannot unless you set up another wallet to send those amounts. Though there are terms like "saving bitcoin," the meaning for the holders is to invest in it and hold it for a period of time to gain profit, but in fiat the actual value won't be increasing over time if you hold it in the piggy bank.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: We lose on the long run through return percentage on: January 26, 2023, 02:31:14 AM
They are numerous stories of people who won the jackpot and ended up spending the whole money back on the casino within a short period, 1 or 2 years, they lost the jackpot.

Isn't it?

Inspired by Jean Scott - Frugal Gambler
That is why gamblers should be smart when using the jackpot prize won from slot-machines. If they continue gambling, of course they are going to lose the entire prize along the months or years, without hiting another jackpot of the same size, because it's really unlikely.

If those lucky winners simply use their money wisely, making it grow through investments, they can make extra income from that and use the generated income to continue their gambling hobby. This way they aren't going to lose on long run, because thanks to gambling they achieved a lifetime extra income which allows them to maintain their gambling activity in a frequent basis.

Sometimes it doesn't take 1 to 2 years before losing the jackpot. For some people who win big in casinos like poker or blackjack, the server will give you free drinks for your mood.  And then they continue playing for the rest of the day.

Of the million people spent hundreds over a one arm bandit a day, never have I heard a story where a man wins a jackpot and then leaves with the full amount. The program itself cheats not just the casino.

Bigger bets and also you are not managing your money well like spending here and there and also giving a lot of tips to everyone. Though most people believe that if the money you earn is not hard-earned, it will vanish quickly, unlike hard-earned money. Those who win a jackpot in the slot and again play it hoping to win again are addicted to it because most people will tend to invest those huge amounts of money in business and will be staying away from gambling.
2279  Economy / Speculation / Re: What happens next if Bitcoin drops to zero? on: January 26, 2023, 01:26:28 AM
It would be a total chaos because for sure it is because of no internet connection, chaos in our world, war anything that is bad that we can think is happening. That is likely will happen if bitcoin if drops to 0 as it is tied to our economy. Though it would be impossible to make it drop to 0 or die but those will happen if ever. Not sure why anyone thinking of this as it has a low possibility. Lets think on positive side.
2280  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Your successes over the past 5 years on: January 25, 2023, 05:21:16 PM
Your successes over the past five years: How well have you managed to increase the balance on your account during this time? Or have you lost everything? Tell me your story.

There have been a lot of successes in the past 5 years, like having a family, and there are small wins like getting a new job and being able to purchase other things that were needed. I've grown a lot, matured, and can stand my ground, but the cons are that a lot of problems have struck you and you should be strong. Right now, we still don't have emergency savings, as we are just getting enough salary for our family and also paying for other things that need to be paid. But I'm confident that in another 5 years, I'll improved, and I'll be able to look back on the past and be proud of what I've accomplished, despite the numerous challenges I've faced.
