2261  Economy / Speculation / Re: Where to invest my 20 BTC (lifesavings) on: June 19, 2017, 09:46:53 PM
Hey , I have bought 20.3~ Btc when it was 430USD . Now when price jumped high i would like to invest in something .
I dont want something very risky with high profit ,
I wanna invest in something with 2-2.5% monthly profit .

 For example : If i invest 20 BTC , in one month ill have 20.4 BTC ( 20BTC + 2% = 20.4)

For one who give me idea or help me ill pay some btc for being helpful and good Smiley

 Best regards
It depends on what you want to do, since it seems you want to hold your bitcoin there are a few options.

1. Hold your bitcoin. Bitcoin gains more than that a month, you could simply keep holding and earn even more money that way.
2. Invest in casino bankrolls, there is a thread in the forum running an experiment in which the user invested bitcoin in casino bankrolls, and the results have been favorable, he has earned about 4% per month.
3. You could try to lend money on Poloniex, the returns per month are higher than investing in casino bankrolls.
2262  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Help] Poloniex is causing me losses. on: June 19, 2017, 09:41:51 PM
This may seem harsh, but the only one that is causing you losses is yourself, you must never assume that things are going to work right for you, if they do great, but see the position you are now, you now have to wait an unknown amount of time to get your money, money that it seems you need urgently.
2263  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any tips on how to tell if a coin will flop or not? on: June 19, 2017, 09:39:06 PM
There are plenty of altcoins that would have made a huge profit if we invested into them when they first came out, however there are so many others that just fail. I know that this is just high risk <> reward, but is there any useful tips to make a decent guess as to if an altcoin is worth investing to when it is released?
If you are planning to invest in ICOs I think the best approach is the shotgun approach, invest in many ICOs a small amount of money, those that flop will be losses but you are bound to get a few right then you need to hold until you get earnings.
2264  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Can someone explain how there can be duplicate currency symbols ? on: June 19, 2017, 09:36:28 PM
Thank you for your explanation.

I understand the part of the token, and I do believe this won't matter so much for now.

But to my knowledge we are getting more and more projects lately who also provide the feature to create custom tokens. By the amount of new tokens we are getting every week, I suppose in a few years there will be a lot. So if all these seperated tokens allow to choose the same symbol, this might become problematic after a while, no?

To be honest, not many people other than the creators would care about such trivial projects. People only care about a couple of top cryptocurrencies in the charts. That is half the reason as to why Bitcoin is the most popular of the cryptocurrencies. If Bitcoin market cap was small, then no one would care much about it.
Many people care about a lot of projects and not only about the top projects, for example the 41 coin at the moment is BitcoinDark, to be honest I have never heard of it but 122 million dollars are invested on it, so it is obvious many care about that project even if the majority does not.
2265  Economy / Securities / Re: Newby - looking for a 3 to 5 year investment on: June 19, 2017, 09:31:02 PM
Given the size of your investment ($1300), I'd consider going all in on Ether.

Bitcoin and Ethereum both have very good long term growth opportunity, the challenge is that Ether is way earlier in its run than Bitcoin. With Ether currently trading at ~$250 you can buy more Ether than you can bitcoin and it's the number of "shares", coins you own that will give you real leverage to gain return on investment from any price growth in the future.

It's feasible that Ether gets up to the $2000s level and beyond (just as Bitcoin has). And with a cost bases of $250 you stand to make a 10x return on investment. However it's less likely that Bitcoin would take the same 10x run over the same time period...do you think Bitcoin could hit $25000 in just 3 years?

In the end you need to be happy with your investment, and diversification definitely plays a part. I just wanted to add my thoughts as someone who knows a lot professionally about these sorts of things.

5) How do I create a wallet? Is the address allocated to me?
Check out this site for a list of a lot of wallet options: https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

Welcome to Bitcoin!
Price is not the most important thing, it is the market cap that matters and now that the market cap of bitcoin and ETH are closer then the logical conclusion is that wit will be very difficult for Ethereum to grow 10 times its current price, if you wanted to win that amount of money with Ethereum you are one year too late.
2266  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 12, 2017, 05:43:59 PM
Before i thinked i were the only person on my region that know that trade bitcoin, nowadays im part of a whats app group that trade with local currencie, soo im very happy to had found more people like me, investors and speculators, always with open mind to good things.
Although I don’t like the social networks this is one of the few instances in which I will be tempted to use one, I would like to also find other people like me that are interested in crypto currencies and being able to talk about them without seeming a weirdo.
2267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: June 12, 2017, 05:38:45 PM
Government is the tyrany of people, it use to be King, Dictator etc now ti's government ("democracy"). So I predict more and more bad things from tyrants in the future when it comes to bitcoin i predict no (or very little) good just more and more bad from them!
True, tyranny comes in all forms, while some regimes are famous for producing more tyrants than others, like communism, the truth is no political system is absent of them, just look at Hitler he ascended to power through legitimate means in the German republic.
2268  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So i want to start investing in the cryptocurrency market... on: June 12, 2017, 05:35:26 PM
Diversification is key,  you are not going to get every single prediction right but as long as most of them are you could be making a lot of money in this past months you could have made as much as ten times your original investment which is a lot.
2269  Economy / Speculation / Re: segwit effect on bitcoin price on: June 12, 2017, 05:28:17 PM
(im noob dont bash me, if this post is nonsense just delete this admin  Smiley )

what is your price prediction for bitcoin before, (during?), and after segwit activation?
And what are your thoughts about bitcoin unlimited (BTU) current price: 200$
As I know (correct me if Im wrong) BTC holders will take 2 coins BTC and BTU depending on the price of bitcoin. Let's assume that the price of bitcoin is 10000$ you will get 7000$ worth of BTC and 3000$ worth of BTU.
should I sell my bitcoins before or after segwit?

feel free to reply pls

thanks, Smiley
The price will skyrocket, I think there is the potential for bitcoin to double in price after a few months of segwit being activated, but the best part is that bitcoin will become usable once again as currency and that will be great for all of us.
2270  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you believe in aliens? on: June 12, 2017, 05:25:12 PM
It depends on what you mean by aliens, if you mean alien life like bacteria, I think the chances are almost one hundred percent that alien bacteria life exists, if you mean animals and plants like the ones we have I will believe there are, but if you mean alien intelligent life capable of the same or even greater technology as us, I think that is more difficult.
2271  Economy / Economics / Re: Think about this: Is crypto a bubble.... or is fiat a bubble ? on: June 09, 2017, 02:31:40 AM
Maybe a repeated question ? Not sure...

Just simple economics, no need to get very deep into this question.

USD (as an example, could be other currency) has no limit, nothing scarce, it has value because people believe in it, it has history and is issued by an entity that is loosing the trust once had.

In the other hand, any crypto currency is limited, it's scarce, it's been almost 10 years since the creation and you can trust the technology.

Why is this still not worth trillions ?
Because bitcoin is a completely new way to understand currencies, we cannot expect this concept to be accepted immediately but as time passes more people will begin to accept it and understand that bitcoin is the future and with it the rate of acceptance will begin to increase.
2272  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin banned in Ecuador on: June 09, 2017, 02:29:44 AM

In 2014, all the cryptocurrencies including Bitcoin was banned by the government in Ecuador. This was followed by the introduction of the country’s own digital currency, the Dinero Electrónico.

However, defiant Bitcoin users still continued using Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies. In fact, Bitcoin use in Ecuador has spiked due to the recent price rise.

Do you think that the Ecuador government will freely allow the use of Bitcoin as its popularity increases?

I’m sorry for the people in Ecuador and having that dumb government but I like the fact they are resisting the efforts of that authoritarian government and continuing business as usual, I hope they elect a new government with a tolerant attitude towards bitcoin, not lie the one they have right now.
2273  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Tell me your thoughts on STRATIS on: June 09, 2017, 02:27:00 AM
What do you guys think about Strat?

Simple, stratis is a good coin and it is one worth investing, I don’t hear as much from this coin as I hear from others but it is definitely worth your time and effort to get some of this coin and hold it for the long term.
2274  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many people are asking you about Bitcoin now? on: June 05, 2017, 10:57:16 PM
None, and I have brought the subject but people seem to be numb at the moment, as long as they got their jobs and their toys, like their smart phones then they don’t seem to be interested in anything else at the moment.
2275  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Why don't exchanges run their own bots? on: June 05, 2017, 10:55:25 PM
I have used bots some times and some of my friends are addicted to bots, I am just curious about this idea.

Why do not exchanges host the features in their own site as services,
why do they let 3rd party bots run instead of providing the possibilities themselves?
I think they don’t do it because some already have their suspicions about exchanges and then if for some reason the bot failed and then you lost money then someone may make the accusation that somehow that was not a technical problem but instead it was a scam.
2276  Economy / Economics / Re: Where did you first heard about Bitcoins? on: June 05, 2017, 10:53:13 PM
I heard about bitcoin from a friend, it was just a passing comment but at the time I was interested on online currencies so immediately researched about it and fell in love with the project.
2277  Economy / Economics / Re: Will silver ever skyrocket? on: June 05, 2017, 10:51:38 PM
If silver can not be found anymore or can be said to be rare may be the price will skyrocket, But in fact the price of silver is still below the price of gold.
We're still very far away from not being able to find more silver, and there are enough quantities of it right now anyways that it isn't worth thinking about those kinds of scenarios for still a while longer. Silver will always (or should always) have a value lower than that of gold because there is a larger supply of it, and there will likely never be less silver than gold.
Yes, we have enough silver and even if then price went up then that will be an even greater reason to begin to mine silver in a more intensive way and that will decrease eventually the price of silver.
2278  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why investing in the bank of a centralized cryptocurrency casino is a bad idea on: June 05, 2017, 10:50:00 PM
The conclusion is rather silly. The article makes a lot of valid points, but to jump from "it's very risky" to "it's a bad idea" doesn't really follow. Like any investment, diversification is the key. I would say if you're putting more than ~1% (?) of your money in a single site, you're risking too much. And for what it's worth, I know quite a few people who have participated in crowd funding bankrolls from the time of just-dice, and every single one of them is has made a good return (and that even includes someone who had a very considerable amount of money stollen in the dice.ninja scam).

Also the bitroll investment comparison, is not really representative how normal people would invest. Despite the urging of several people, he left his money in dead/dying/idle sites, just for the purpose of computing a review. The coinwin and icedice loss was completely avoidable, by anyone paying attention. Probably a much better example is this: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1585408.0  by someone who actively monitors their investments and pulls the plug when things aren't looking great
Yeah especially when we take into account, that there is a thread in the forum in which a user has done an experiment investing in different casinos and the results have been very telling after 9 months the user won 40% on bitcoin and has almost tripled the value in fiat.
2279  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Give your child/ren a bright future! on: June 05, 2017, 06:27:44 AM
To all parents and soon to be parents out there,

Plan for your children or future children by saving Bitcoin for them. Buying them bit by bit would be a great investment for the future of your kids. I am saying that you must have a new wallet for your kids so that when they come at the right age, you can give them that wallet and imagine how bright their future will be. You can hold bitcoin for their education, life plans, or whatever you think of.

I believe that if you start storing bitcoin for them now, a bright future is ahead of them  Wink
While this is nice and all, I think we must concentrate to accumulate as much bitcoin for ourselves, we don’t need to use the excuse of saving for your children, save bitcoin for yourself, because if you are fine and your investment is successful your whole family is going to enjoy the benefits out of it.
2280  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: About altcoin on: June 05, 2017, 06:25:16 AM
I actually want to know about a summary of altcoin. What is the use of it and how can i know about the amount of Bitcoin through it?

What is the main difference between them? If we are using bitcoin, then what is main purpose of using altcoin? Please kindly give a clear concept about it.

Thanks in advance.
I think it is better that you ask about a particular coin you like or are interested, because there are so many coins that is impossible to give a summary and the difference between the coins.
