So i have blockchain and electrum and will only use these 2 to send/receive btc from gambling sites. First off, receiving btc is always free right?
yes! the sender pays the fee not the receiver For sending btc... i dont have any on blockchain or electrum but when i enter a number of btc in electrum it shows the btc fee as 0.0002 which is around 4 cents usd. But with blockchain is it the same as in 0.0002 btc? Im confused b/c i thought sending btc cost 5 or 10 cents... read that a while back. So does using different way of sending it have different fee? Such as multibit vs electrum or even hardware wallet? I know its no big deal but curious on this.
technically the amount of fee suggestion if the settings are the default value should be the same but you can always change it. not in electrum though, electrum doesnt let you send bitcoin with lower fee than suggested |

Also i read ppl say well blockchain isn't that safe b/c its an online wallet and if some hacker hacks bitcoin, u lose your bitcoin. But wouldn't it be many blockchain users though and thus it would be a huge thing? Does anyone think something like this could happen? Im thinking since it still hasn't happened now, i assume it probably won't? How many cases have there been when some big online wallet like blockchain got hacked by hackers and then ppl with bitcoins there all got it taken? I believe there was one called Mov'Gov ... something to that name?
But some ppl here say its safe to keep any amount of btc there b/c if you feel funds in your online sportsbooks account are safe... then blockchain is even safer. I would like know if anyone agrees with that last statement.
you can always check these things youself. just search something like "losing bitcoin on bclockchain.info" "or lost bitcoin on Electrum" and most importantly when you find results from your search, read WHY they lost their bitcoin |

If your coins have high priority and your transaction qualifies as a free one, you are allowed to set 0 as the transaction fee. Otherwise, try 0.1 MBTC (0.0001 BTC) you can change the transaction fee to any amount you want including 0 fee, but the problem is Electrum don't let you send it and it gives you error! |

in the receive tab where all your addresses are, you can right click and from the menu you can choose private key, QR code and other stuff

thanks. when i placed the order the sum was like 3 btc and after 20 hours the whole amount of trades was more than 3 so i thought it is not by age or turn. but i think the reason for it being more that 3 was that it is both buy and sell amount in total.

okay so i click start, type electrum, i see Electrum -1.9.8-Shortcut, right click then delete? That is what another user here tells me to do , just right click and delete and thats all.
It says are you sure you want to remove it

a shortcut is not the program, in order to delete/remove the source you have to go the place where it actually is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_shortcutyou can use the standalone too, no need to get windows installet if standalone works for you. and if you havent used the addresses in the wallet you can safely create another one and there is no need for remembering the old seed |

when i place a buy or sell order will i go in a Queue and have a turn for example the 10001st person or is it luck or any kind of other formula's involved cause i feel like a bigger amount of trade happened and mine didn't go through yet! for instance  if i place a sell order at 65 now does it mean that 5.1365 BTC should be bought in order for it to be my turn? |

the first image itself is telling you what the problem is since you have a lot of input or small transactions received when you are trying to send all those the tx will be large so the large fee. you can either pay the fee or use lower fees as you wish with taking the risks following that

How do i password protect my wallet? Is that why when i open electrum each time, they don't ask for password? Strange b/c i thought it has to ask me for password each time i open client. Is password protect meaning when you open the client, it requires a password? If so... wouldn't almost everyone password protect it then? Makes no sense for someone not to.
Shortcut does work... but i don't like it. Is there a way to erase this electrum and do it again where i download windows standalone installer? I basically want to do it the same way as in the video and thus the correct way.

of you downloaded standalone you only have 1 file and that is the whole thing, so for uninstalling you should delete that. the Windows Installer will install the program and necessary packages on windows and for reinstalling or installing on another pc and restoring your old wallet you just need your "seed" |
