2281  Economy / Services / Re: [PrimeDice] [Highest Paid Signature] Earn up to 2.4 BTC/Month by Posting on: May 28, 2014, 01:46:19 AM
I'm really active on the primedice and I just noticed this, am I considered a junior members here? And if not how much more until I can start doing this?

Yes, you're considered a "junior member." You can't join the campaign until you're a "member" which will likely take about two months or so.
More about member groups and how your activity is calculated can be found here, https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=237597.0
2282  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: antares owes me 1 btc on: May 28, 2014, 01:42:44 AM
Could the forum admin get his IP maybe?

Of course he can get it, but he most likely won't release it. There's also not much we'd be able to do with the IP...

We should strip him of his "hero" status and change it to "zero"

If people use it purely for trust maybe the name hero should be changed.

Yes, the title is very misleading.  How can a con artist be a hero?

The thing is, the account was likely bought unfortunately... I can't stand when I see accounts like that.
Contributing to the community and organically building trust is the only way to go.

Yes, the title is very misleading.  How can a con artist be a hero?

The biggest con-artist in Bitcoin are hero members (and usually also VIP members) at bitcointalk.

Hero member used to mean having a certain number of posts. Now it means having an x number of posts spread out over y number of weeks. That's it. Forums titles are misleading across the board in forums if you don't know about this though.

This needs to be change.  It should be voted on.  A hero is someone who is honest and willing to help other members and should be voted on.

More people will be victims.   You can not wear police uniforms if you are not a police.

We won't see any change.

Antares' (the real one at least) native tongue was likely german: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=19001;sa=showPosts

Yep, that's what it looks like.
2286  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: antares owes me 1 btc on: May 28, 2014, 12:21:31 AM
This is another red flag. Dude has no trust ratings at all and likely purchased the account, if he's using this as a reason to trust him.

Quote from: antares
my status hero member and date reg 2011

Aw man. Have you tried contacting him again?
Also, In the future you should use an escrow.

There's an expired server certificate.

Yes, XenForo doesn't support tables by default, however there are some mods for it. I will implement it in a few days, along with almost everything what was proposed here (that I delayed for a lack of time) ;)

You have to be a Jr. member to vote in polls...
Ok, hold on while I PM 10 users I know to vote in my favour...

The thing is, that can happen anywhere on the internet and isn't limited to Bitcointalk.

should we have a poll on whether to have a poll? Wink
Hold on a minute while I create 10 accounts so I can vote "no." Grin

Bias from prize presenter is better than fake votes.

You have to be a Jr. member to vote in polls...

should we have a poll on whether to have a poll? Wink

If you'd like. Ultimately it's your decision, but I'd prefer a poll.

Maybe use this, https://vote.heliosvoting.org/

if others think that it's better if I select the 5 prizes straight away, sure
Yeah, less chance of cheating.

I disagree. I think voting would be best. Although voting can be altered, it gives the least amount of bias and would ultimately give better results than one person picking the top 5 IMO.

Not so attractive design for my opinion..
didn't understand against who we will gonna play?

As I mentioned above that I am a terrible artist. I need some help honestly. And you play against others online. You want to have the biggest machine running and the most BTC per second coming in compared to everyone else. Basically like a simulation game of sorts.

Don't get discouraged. This is a great start!
