Yeah you used too low a fee. Should be using .0005 routinely now. Check the tx id on blockchain.info and give it a day should confirm. Remember to use a higher fee next time.
two things are missing in this comment. first you have to remember that the amount of fee is a suggestion and it is calculated per size of transaction meaning bigger transaction (more inputs not the amount you are sending) requires higher fees https://bitcoinfees.21.co/and also currently 10000(~13000) satoshi is good enough to be considered high priority still New users are not sophisticated enough to calculate exact fees based on size of transaction. Using a .0005 fee routinely when new to bitcoin prevents problems like OP had. Many wallets are starting to use .0005 when user selects high priority and is not excessive.

I'd like to add that you lose a layer of security if your Tails is connected to the internet. You can always sign your transactions offline and broadcast them with anything else though.
Thank you both for the replies. Can Electrum pull your wallet balance from a seed if it is offline, but is a lightweight client? Do you have a link handy on how to sign an Electrum transaction offline and broadcast them? Thanks again! From Electrum docs: http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/coldstorage.htmlNo one really uses two computers for cold storage anymore except some hard core Armory fans. Trezor is so much easier.

Have to get past 4800 on Huobi first before the real fireworks start. Could be an interesting 4th.

You are better off avoiding Namecheap and using orangewebsite.com in Iceland instead. They will register a top level domain for you completely anonymously, all you have to provide is an email and pay by bitcoin. You can also connect by Tor.

If $700 on Bitstamp is taken out there is a good chance for a new all time high in the not distant future.

I know there are a lot of wallets available. This is why I want to know your opinion what is the best online Bitcoin wallet, in level of security, protection of our Bitcoins and availability of support.
i suggest coinbase, they have 2fa so getting hacked is pretty unlikely. the reason i dont like blockchain is because its too slow. i have to login everytime i want to check the balance. their app sucks. and coinbase has an amazing app. I disagree. Coinbase allows 2FA however and unlike Blockchain.info they don't give you access to your private keys so If they want to run with your funds or they get really hacked/ or goes down for some reason you won't be able to access your funds . If you want to check your balance simply search for your address in the blockchain.info and then bookmark that way you see your balance without connecting into your wallet each time. Coinbase gives customers the option of using a multisig vault. The multisig vault is as safe as a local wallet if you make the election to maintain control of the private keys yourself. Should Coinbase go down you can transfer your funds to another wallet using their open source recovery tool. If you want more security than that offered by the Coinbase Vault you would need to use a hardware wallet like Trezor or Ledger.

You have to turn on show hidden files and folders to see /AppData/. If you did not have the option enabled you might not be aware Electrum saves sensitive data to your hard disc. This might not be be welcome if your computer does not have the option to encrypt using a password. If you are concerned about having Electrum write to /AppData/ you can always use the portable version instead. You can store it in an encrypted container or a USB drive.

Another option is to use the CoinGecko widget:
If you want a general/overall price widget, yes the CoinGecko widget is a good one, as is the Coindesk widget, mentioned previously. This widget is an exchange specific widget. I have other widgets in development, which will give other exchanges' data. Once I have several done I will make an exchange overview page on Whitebeard's Cottage that will include a general market widget to give an instant view of the market overall and on specific markets/regions. It is hard to find generic auto updating bitcoin price widgets that do not advertise exchanges hence the plug for CoinGecko.

Another option is to use the CoinGecko widget: <iframe id='widget-ticker-preview' src='//www.coingecko.com/en/widget_component/ticker/bitcoin/usd?id=bitcoin' style='border:none; height:125px; width: 275px;' scrolling='no' frameborder='0' allowTransparency='true'></iframe>

The best option is to always have personal possession of your bitcoin private keys. Don't trust an online or desktop wallet, get started right by using a hardware wallet and you will never have to worry about having your bitcoin stolen by hackers or malware. Trezor is the standard with the best user manual by far at $99. If you are on a budget the Ledger HW.1 is only $17. Either would serve you well.

I haven't issue with sync (however it takes definitely too much time compared to other coinz) I have issue with working (freezing, overload, hanging etc)
Sorry, no problems like that here at all. Maybe someone else will chime in.

I have latest (0.7.4) but nothing better... I would like to (dao)vote and don't want to reveal my prvkey like I should have by myetherwallet site..
There is no bootstrap.dat for Ethereum If you are using Mist and have the latest 0.7.4 running make sure geth.exe and Electron are not blocked by your firewall. Or just turn your firewall off until the Ethereum blockchain is up to date. Instead of starting Mist by clicking on the Ethereum-Wallet application in Windows, from your Ethereum Wallet installation directory, open a command prompt window and run the command: .\resources\node\geth\geth --fast console to speed up the sync.

Ethereum Wallet - useless I'm afraid.. over 6gb RAM after few minutes after adding contract watching Is there any more local wallet for ether now? You could use Etherwall but will still need to download the full blockchain using geth Best I think to stick with the official Mist wallet get the latest release at https://github.com/ethereum/mist/releasesYou can try an SPV light wallet from Jaxx at https://jaxx.io/If you want to use Trezor for storing Ether best to stick with Mist as Trezor support is planned.

Part of it would be to drive new traffic to his bitcoin.com and subdomains. He has a forum that is not doing very well and a casino to promote.

How much privacy do you give up by using the website myTrezor.com to store your bitcoins?
Can the owners / webmaster of myTrezor.com see how many bitcoins you have? Your bitcoin addresses?
On balance, myTrezor.com has some quite valuable information about it's users, so be careful the way you use it if you value your financial privacy (be aware also that myTrezor.com must collect this information in order to operate at all, it's a knock-on effect of using a client-sever model for a wallet service). What does this mean? "Quite valuable information" ? You make it seem like they know your name, address, social security #, the works... See the reddit thread at https://www.reddit.com/r/TREZOR/comments/4k3to6/betamytrezorcom_updated/There're operational logs of webserver (nginx), which are automatically rotated. We do not log any financially sensitive informations like addresses/xpubs (they arent even sent to server).
Definitely, for perfect privacy, I recommend to use private bitcore instance. mytrezor itself does not log anything.
As noted myTrezor is not a problem, and you can point myTrezor.com to your own linux box running Bitcore if you want to take the trouble.

If you are serious about security of your bitcoin your seed should never be displayed or typed on an online computer. Use a hardware wallet instead and write your seed on paper, store securely. If you use a hardware wallet that permits encryption of the seed with a passphrase you keep in your head you have an additional layer of protection. Using a PIN and simple passphrase on a Trezor provides very good security. Since the seed is worthless without the passphrase you can leave the seed with friends. Just do not forget your passphrase!
I am serious about security, but as this thread is showing, it really isn't as easy as it seems! I don't want to have to remember anything, if I leave my Bitcoin untouched for a while, I will forget any decent password/phrase. I quite like BitcoinSupremos idea, but then where do you store the 2 strong passwords? I guess the chances of someone getting into lastpass, taking each of those passwords, and having access to my saved .rar file, is pretty remote. I have read some trezor threads about them crashing/malfunctioning, I think I would go for a paper wallet before a trezor. When you use Trezor the seed in effect is your bitcoin; the plastic device is a tool. You can crush your Trezor and be back up again in less than half an hour by recovering the seed to a new Trezor. Many folks who use Trezor keep a spare around in case of loss. I have never had a problem with Trezor crashing or malfunctioning. Once in a while the myTrezor.com site is down is all. If that happens you just use your Trezor with local Electrum.

Bitmain just released S9 hoping to make profits before the halving. Be smart and wait until after the halving before considering buying any bitcoin mining hardware. Price on the S9 can only come down.
