You can still get a white Trezor with a weeks delay direct from Trezor. The only other hardware wallet ready to ship looks like Digital Bitbox, which is a nice, no frills bitcoin only hardware wallet from Core developer Jonas Schnelli.

Trezor is one of the best ways to store your bitcoin private keys in case of some turmoil around August 1. The developers have always said in past in case of a fork you will own coins on both forks and be able to choose which fork to spend on. Ledger Nano S is out of stock until September but you can still get a Trezor at a higher price than normal, I think it is $150 with shipping.

Litecoin price is going up because of the uncertainty about August 1. Bitcoin holders are buying as a hedge. If that uncertainty is removed Litecoin will drop like a rock.

Not on Trezor yet, only Ledger Nano S. Official Ledger shop says if you order now they are not shipping until September 2. You can still find Nano S for jacked up prices on Amazon. I wouldn't pay the $200 plus sellers are asking for.

Ledger Nano S hardware wallets are sold out till August. I think you can still find a Trezor at an elevated price. Digital Bitbox is available for $78 shipped two day from Switzerland. I use and like all three. The BitBox is bitcoin only and simpler to use than the others for someone new to hardware wallets.

If you are only interested in cold storage for bitcoin you can save yourself the hassle and just get a Digital BitBox hardware wallet for $78 shipped. I just set a friend up with one and it is very nice, the co-founder of the company is a Bitcoin Core developer.

The only bitcoin cloud mining that is legitimate and also pays you fairly is ViaBTC. They charge 13.58% for electric power and a 6% management fee. That means for each daily bitcoin payout you get 80% they keep 20% for overhead. The other players Hashnest, pool.bitcoin.com, Giga-watt and Genesis Mining charge higher fees. ViaBTC is sold out now but they should restock as soon as more miners are delivered. They use S9 only from Bitmain. You can cut the overhead some if you buy miners from SinoHash and have them hosted at their colocation center in China, but they have a minimum order of ten miners. You also then have to worry about downtime and maintenance

Just an FYI if you are not aware, Case has not upgraded their firmware in a year and the Case wallet is pretty much unusable as fees are fixed and too low.

I bought one of the Digital Bitbox hardware wallets to review. Cost was $78 with 2 day FedEx shipping from Switzerland to US. Stellaw bought a couple to review last year but never got past opening the packaging before going on a rant about insecure packaging. They ship in a well sealed FedEx envelope and the cardboard package was heat sealed inside a mylar bag. No tamper resistant seals, guess they consider the heat sealed mylar bag sufficient. The FedEx envelope reached me sealed so no worries.

Despite being a one trick pony for bitcoin only I like this unit. The ability to pair the unit to your phone to prevent MITM attacks is very nice. They are using a BitPay Bitcore backend same as Trezor. You can't set fees manually but have the ability to choose priority, standard, economy and budget fee levels. I have never had a transaction take longer than half an hour using priority fee with Trezor so expect Digital Bitbox to be similar. You can also use over Tor.

There was some mention on Twitter that Electrum would work with the BitBox but no joy here with Electrum 2.8.3. Once I have played with the unit for a week or so will write up a full review. At first glance this looks like a good and very secure bitcoin only hardware wallet. If you don't need altcoins the BitBox is all you need. Ledger Nano S is out of stock until August. Trezor ships now but cost with 2 day shipping is $128 or $50 more than BitBox.
