2281  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 25, 2023, 01:33:08 PM
Buying a house with installments for 15-25 years is sometimes a lot of choice for young couples who have steady jobs and salaries. But of course it has a fairly high risk. because we don't know if we'll still have a steady job and salary for 15-25 years to keep paying our mortgage. because if we fail to repay the house bill, of course we can lose the house. so that some other people choose to rent a house with a fairly cheap rental rate. so they can save money to build their own dream home. For me both are still the same. depending on our financial condition. However, home installments are relatively more expensive than building your own home.

Saving will take more time and will be more difficult if your income is low. It is more expensive if you take a loan as you are paying interest on it, and also the risk is that if you can't pay it then all of your payment will be gone, unlike saving and then building your home, though we don't have a choice. As for myself, if I were in his situation, I would have difficulty building a home as my income is just low. Right now I am paying my loan for land that we purchased, and my dilemma is that if I lost my job, what would happen to my land?
2282  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 25, 2023, 12:31:22 PM
What's so hypocritical about it? Isn't the government free in choosing which gambling games are allowed and which are not? Does the government have to take everything all-in or black and white? I think they don't have to either put a blanket ban on gambling or allow all of them to operate. They don't have to make a single stand. They could actually choose which ones are worth allowing and which ones are not. And this is not unique in Japan. Other countries also have these inconsistencies. And they're fine.
Yep, usually they're ban a particular thing because their citizens suffer more problem when gambling on slots, while horse racing and lottery are fine enough for their citizens. Based on this article [1] it seems horse racing might be a good source of income for Japan on the 1860s, which mean they're respect about it and maybe it's of a way how Japan can become developed country. While lottery it's might be similar with giveaway which is fine.

[1] https://www.theplaidhorse.com/2021/08/02/horse-racing-betting-in-japan-risks-and-opportunities/

So they study well on what games they need to banned like slots or other card games as it is very addictive to their country? Those games that they haven't banned are addictive also but because of their culture and history, they really respect those games like horse racing and also the lottery their government and society can benefit from it as the tax on it can greatly help them as well as the one who won on lottery. But still, I don't want this to be implemented in my country if ever, I want to play all gambling games lool.
2283  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie - need your advice after first trades (image joined) thnk you in advance on: January 25, 2023, 11:29:07 AM
Don’t rush making profit, instead focus more on your knowledge about trading for the first three months because as a newbie, you should not expect to make money right away.

Imagine, trading with that kind of profit might not be worth it because of the fees, I also suggest to save some money for your capital so you can have more possible profit. Trading is a long process, beginners or newbies should not take any shortcut and have to go with the process.
That's right, for beginners it's better not to be obsessed with getting profits first,
don't be too naive and like you said it's better to learn both knowledge and skills,
beginners definitely have no experience and when trying to trade it only makes a loss.

When you jump to getting profit as quickly as possible like learning to trade overnight and you are very confident to do trade after that you will lose. I don't know if others experience this but I've experienced this before when starting though I only lose the bonus money when I've signup on to the platform. Ive just learn the basic use of some indicators and now trade and it turns out I lost it all, I learnt a lesson that time. So always take your time. Learn first before you remove the "L" in Learn
2284  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: January 25, 2023, 09:56:35 AM
It depends on the individual; they are both good, but what works for others may not work for you. Others might say the stock is best because it is less risky as long as you've invested in those promising companies. On the other side, bitcoin is very volatile, and you can lose it in just a short period of time. The benefits of this are that you can earn money on both. So it depends on your preferences; both are long-term and profitable. I'm on the forum, so I'm sure I'll go with bitcoin, as I've known it for a long time and have no plans to switch to stock.
2285  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have gotten used to using bitcoin for payment but. .. on: January 25, 2023, 05:20:12 AM
I am most times always indoor and this is how I get my things, shipped and sent to my location. If you know of any reliable service that accepts Bitcoin please do share.

Where are you located? For sure, there are local wallets or other platforms in your country where you can transact using bitcoin. But gift cards are best in your situation, like for food services. If you want the food delivered to you, then for sure there are gift cards for those delivery services. In terms of buying things, Amazon has them and is also famous. Though you can still find other items on social media, it is prone to scams, but I've seen people post there and accept bitcoin as their payment method.
2286  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UK fines online casino for only asking KYC from winning gamblers on: January 25, 2023, 04:25:14 AM
One fairly common complain among gamblers is they are allowed to make a deposit at casinos and lose their money without any issue, but if they happen to win and they want to make a withdrawal then they are hit with a KYC request almost immediately, Tonybet a fiat Estonian casino was fined more than 400,000 pounds for this practice and it seems the regulators are now interested in making reforms to the laws and force casinos to also make checks on those gamblers which have lost a lot of money.

If those new regulations are passed they will affect not only fiat casinos but cryptocurrency casinos will have to eventually follow them as well, do you agree with this idea? Would you like to see casinos to be fined more often for the practice of only asking for personal information from winning gamblers or do you think this will have a harmful effect on their finances?

Source: https://www.theguardian.com/society/2023/jan/18/tonybet-fined-regulator-online-betting-id-checks-terms

This is only implemented in the UK, even though the owner is from Estonia but his casino is based in the UK. If they were based in the UK, they would follow it once it was approved whether it was a fiat casino or a cryptocurrency. This is also good as we can prevent problems once we win, but if the casino is legal, then I think it would be easy to get KYC approved. One of the pros of having KYC at the start is that you don't get into any trouble, like winning big you can easily get it.
2287  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Which company will be next to accept Bitcoin? on: January 25, 2023, 03:32:22 AM
A lot of people want those big brands to accept bitcoin as their payment method, as it's a huge adaptation of bitcoin that leads to its price getting higher, though as a normal citizen, I still don't benefit from it as I can't afford those big companies like tesla or pagani. It would be preferable if the stores in the area accepted bitcoin, but if the big companies and famous brands accept bitcoin, the small stores will follow as it is some sort of advertisement that the others want to follow as well.
2288  Economy / Economics / Re: Is renting an inevitable waste of money? on: January 25, 2023, 02:28:53 AM
Calculate how much you'll be paying on a monthly basis and compare it to your rent; if they are close, then taking a loan is good, but remember that if you lose your source of income, you should immediately find another job. I don't know in what country you are living, but are there any government projects that are rent-to-own? or like they have housing? Try to find such a program on it, though I'm sure it was located in the city, but my best advice is that as long as both you and your girlfriend aren't planning on having a family, achieve your dreams first and get that house, because if you have a family and a child, you'll have difficulty getting it and paying a loan.
2289  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Has someone tried to use ChatGPT to help in trading? on: January 25, 2023, 01:30:25 AM
ChatGPT is not showing any photos of chart and also candle stick pattern mostly it respond on you on your question but you can read it but it is difficult without any photos showing in the chart. I havent tried it but for sure you will know some basics and not in-depth on it. It is better to watch videos and search on google to learn trading. ChatGPT is just good when you have questions and it can easily respond to you fast
2290  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cheat the Lottery Winner on: January 23, 2023, 05:25:48 PM
Money could change the behaviour of people even how humble or trusted the person when it comes to money you will be shocked that the person can do those things. A lot also of relatives killing each other just to get those lands from their parents, how much mo this huge amount of money? The victim should get all the money no matter what and teach his/her cousin a lesson on what she has done so that this would be a lesson not just for her cousin but to all.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First thing i will do if Bitcoin become legal tender globally on: January 23, 2023, 04:33:00 PM
The first thing you should do is purchase a bitcoin, as you will need it to spend on items that fiat currency cannot purchase on that time. Though I can't really think what I will do at that time, I was thinking what will happen to the price at that time; is it going to stabilize? or drops or increases its price. However, if this becomes legal tender, many people will mine it in the same way that we mine gold and other valuable gems in our world. You will know for certain that time that it will be cashless transactions and you will not see any paper money or coins because we are all using bitcoin.
2292  Economy / Economics / Re: After Budgeting, How Do I Deal With Unexcepted Expenses? on: January 23, 2023, 02:39:38 PM
Unexpected expenses struck you when you are in tight of budget but my strategy with this is that there are budgets that will last you until your next pay, what I've done is I've cut it in there like our food, we have a budget of $4 per day for food for the whole month if we have unexpected expenses and it is not that big then I could cut it into $2 so that it will last us until a month but the problem is that we will be sacrificing that food that we like to it but again we needed money so we have no choice.
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Common Online Gambling Fraud on: January 23, 2023, 11:57:16 AM
  • 1. Bonus Abuse
Bonus abuse is the practice of joining up for a service repeatedly using promotional offers that are typically only available to new members. There are various terms are used to describe it, such as bonus abuse, casino whoring, bonus hunting, and promo abuse. This practice, known as multi-accounting in the fraud world, frequently targets no-deposit bonuses like free spins or free money. It mostly affects poker, casino, and sports betting websites, but any business that leverages signup bonuses as a marketing strategy may be at risk.

The problem is that fraudsters attempt to create as many new accounts as possible, relying on stolen IDs, resulting in synthetic identity fraud and prepaid credit card details to bypass the Know Your Customer (KYC) checks. More sophisticated criminals can also have the resources to use emulators, virtual machines, and even residential-like IPs, such as Socks5 proxies or mobile networks to leverage fresh IP addresses.

I remember before around 2016 - 2017 a lot of new websites that running bonuses or promotions to those new users my friends are really up to date on this they have group chats and they will start to create multiple accounts by changing their IP as well as using an emulator so that they can easily change the device ID and not get detected. There are platforms don't need to play just hit the minimum amount to withdraw which they do is deposit and withdraw, other also you need to play like 5 rolls before can withdraw which they do it. It was easy money for them but right now it is not possible due to KYC and they can easily detect you.
2294  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Which indicators you use? on: January 23, 2023, 09:55:59 AM
~
but having in back on my mind that the price is in uptrend so it's more likely that they will go up then down.
If you're sure an instrument you're trading is in uptrend, you just have to resist the temptation of taking shorts on it no matter how certain you think it will dump. Only look out for long positions. Don't swim against the tide, like they say. Trading against the trend is analogous to swimming against the tide. Anyone who attempts that will always fail at it. The market is of course the teacher. It has never lost against any trader.

Always follow the trend no matter what. The probability that it goes uptrend is higher than it goes downtrend. Ive really learned this as before I was looking for opposite trade and not looking the bigger picture. Mostly if the chart you see that it is uptrend look for uptrend so that we can remove those noise and decide which trade to take. You can really see the picture when you see it in the higher timeframes and also try to check your indicator.
2295  Economy / Economics / Re: A Bank of America Glitch Sent Customers Into a Panic Over Missing Funds on: January 23, 2023, 07:36:48 AM
It was happened also here in my country though it is our local bank and people also panicking over it as they are losing money and it was also seen in the transactions. Though it was then reverted after a few days it was a very difficult example if you needed the money for emergency matters and you can't get it as they are still investigating. Ive also experiences this one last New year just a small amount of money got deducted from my account and they give it back after a few hours they just say that it was a double payment even if I don't see any double payment in my transactions.
2296  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: This Smells Like Hypocrisy on: January 23, 2023, 05:40:05 AM
I am also shocked by this as they banned those other gambling games as they can be addictive but what Ive found reading and searching is that horse races have a long history for them so it means it is already their culture and they are doing this, the same with other games like a lottery as the government earn money from it for their country. Though they said that it is for entertainment purposes I don't see a reason why other games are banned and those types of games are not.
2297  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: January 23, 2023, 04:25:14 AM
I don't agree with your point, not everyone can build their own business, sometimes it's better for them to work with other people.

In some part of the world like Nigeria, it's better you build your business than working for someone. Working for someone here is like enslaving oneself. They hardly pay good money and anyone that pays too will use all your time and leave you with no time for yourself. Although one may start his/her career working somewhere but it should be a stepping stone. One should try to save and build his own business as time goes on.

Not just in your place, it is in all countries and people want to get into business it is just they still don't have the capital to start and they are having a hard time-saving money because their salary is just enough for their daily needs. The cycle should also need to be balanced if people want to get into business then that meaning of it there are no people that are working or operating those businesses? as well as if there is no business as they want to work an 8 - 5 pm job then there are no job opportunities.
2298  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I managed to invite 1 of my friends to invest in bitcoin on: January 23, 2023, 03:30:14 AM
You should also warned your friend that you should not hold bitcoin in exchanges. The way how you explain bitcoin is mostly about investment and you can get profit , yes you warned your friend but you should explain to your friend what bitcoin really is and not invest as it was created for that purpose, it is just people made it an investment because of value but still you done a great job trying to explain this just make sure to check your friend what is his status right now and try to explain more.
2299  Economy / Economics / Re: Can I take a loan to invest in bitcoin? on: January 23, 2023, 02:35:13 AM
There are a lot of threads here in the forum regarding this kind of question. Try to search it, but I would say the majority of people here will say no, but if you can pay it even if you lose it (not relying on getting profit on bitcoin as it is still not sure that you will gain profit), then take a loan. Just remember, are you willing to pay those loans or money even though you haven't held it or even used it? Then, if your feelings aren't hurt, take out a loan. But again, this is a bad move, and we have already warned you. Just save money instead of taking a loan.
2300  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 23, 2023, 01:37:28 AM
It's not that they are generous but they are doing this intentionally to lure the people to visit them and play on their casino. Eventually, people will get hook and use their own money especially if they are winning on their early tries. Casinos can always recover what they have spent on their promotion because most of the players are going to lose.

It's obviously luring new users and that was usual. The important thing here is, they are offering bonuses when you registered.

Seems not good to try a gambling site for the first time where there are no even benefits or advantages we can get.

If new sites won't offer such promotions and bonuses, expect they can't attract new users to their site. That was a necessary thing to do in the marketing field.

Business is business they always do this to earn more profit and invite others to join their platform. It is only you if you want to get persuade by them but still it is a bonus which is free money (but still you can lose it) and it will trigger you to deposit money to play more. I remember those crash games that I've played and its my first-time , they have daily faucets which I thought i wont be get persuaded by those promotion and wont deposit money but after a day I'd deposited my money and lose it all.
