2301  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trade with Binance's "Convert" tool for $0 fees? on: May 02, 2023, 11:10:42 AM
It varies according to what you want. Do you want to trade or exchange cryptos?

In spot trading, you choose the buying or selling price at which you plan to execute the order at, and therefore, with a little technical analysis, you determine the buying and selling points, and from them you achieve profits by buying at a low price and selling at a fair price.

by using Convert you cant trade crypto in that way.

In spot trading, instead of exchanging cryptocurrencies at a specific price, you can choose the appropriate price with you and wait for some time until the order is executed in the order book, and thus you will get a better price.

It is true that Convert does not contain fees, but there are hidden fees, which is that the price of executing orders is chosen by exchange and it can profit from the price difference.

it is closer to say

spot trading:  exchange 1 BTC for 101 USD with 1$ fees
Convert: exchange 1 BTC for 100 USD
You mean that the price on convert instead of the spot trading page is in a way it will not favour the trader and render the 0 fee to be useless, or to be in a way that using the convert will make a trader lose instead if compared with spot trading.

I have not used convert before, but this is what I found out.

I checked the price of sport trading now and it was $28044, sam on convert page.

See spot trading (left) and convert (right) trading fee for BTCUSDT pair:

Like I said, the price is the same. You can also use limit order on the convert page too.
2302  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading not a get rich quick on: May 02, 2023, 10:51:08 AM
- prison is not enough he should be made to spend some time in the Library reading some recommended books on Bitcoin and cryptocurrency.
Nobody cares about him knowing more about bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, all the court care about now is for him to go to prison to correct him not to make such mistake again. Anything that has to do with crypto will be neglected about him.

Trading is not easy, and it takes time to master because the market is always changing its habits
I do not see the market changing at all, but trading is just not easy at all. Trading is easy to learn, but to use it to make money is not easy. The scariest thing about trading is that you can be professional and still lose.

Trading, investing, buying or doing anything with money that is not really yours can put into a big legal issue and also will affect your mentality about future so be responsible and do whatever you want to do with your own money.
Also because the money is not his, and probably want to return it after making some money. That can bring him bad mind towards trading that can lead to irreparable losses.
2303  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for May on: May 01, 2023, 01:10:05 PM
Why creating similar thread again after we have started one: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess. Join discussion on the thread instead.

Next time, you do not even need to use search engine, just scroll down the speculation board to know if anyone has posted such a topic before thinking of creating one. Today is the first day of new month, you will see it among the topics that has been created on the first of new month and likely would be at the top of the page one on speculative board.
2304  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto Gambling OK HASH on: May 01, 2023, 11:56:25 AM
Which one are you? Login gambling site or web3?

I can see on your gambling site that anyone that wants to make use of your website has to register and I have not seen anything like connecting to a noncustodial wallet.

Can we see the terms of service? I want to read it.

Your domain is very young, it was created 20th of last month.
2305  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Your thoughts on crypto exhcnages. on: May 01, 2023, 07:52:57 AM
But what do you think about it?
I know that many people hate centralized platforms so I want to hear your thoughts.
People like me do not hate centralized exchanges, but telling people how dangerous KYC can be and how dangerous to leave your coins on exchanges can be. Also that exchanges are centralized.

I think the best way is to use the exchange to buy crypto or like a P2P platform, but hold all crypto on the wallet, preferably a cold one.
There are also decentralized exchanges that you can use to buy and exchange. The most usefulness I see about exchanges is trading.

Third, altcoins are centralized and they don't mind follow the regulations or licenses. But, Bitcoin is used without need to touch government or licenses, those countries aren't asking a permissions to Satoshi for accept, tax, or ban Bitcoin, they just do whatever they want. Bitcoin doesn't need to get licensed or regulated, it's only need the government will not doing anything to Bitcoin adoption.
Bitcoin is traded on exchanges too, but you are right though, just that this is not what the OP is talking about, he posted the topic on the wrong board also. The topic is more about exchanges.
2306  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: May 01, 2023, 12:07:01 AM
There is every possibility the month of May will be a very good month just as April brought a good tidying on the price despite it didn't crossed to 35k but it was better than January.

So i am on a positive side of bitcoin moving around $30k to $36k maximum.
Bitcoin was better in January, but not bad in April too.

On January 1st, the price of bitcoin was $15550, it increased to $23950. It was at 23125 at the end of the month.
On April 1st, the price was $28460, it increased to $310000. It was $29230 at the end of the month.
2307  Economy / Speculation / Month of May. Bitcoin price guess on: April 30, 2023, 11:51:53 PM
Those that chose below $30000, bitcoin has disappointed you  Grin : Bitcoin price guess, 2023.

For those of you that have not chose anything, you can still partake in the poll.

What are people talking about now?
This is according to what I am hearing, that bitcoin rise from as low as less than $4000 to almost $14000 in 2019, that the highest price bitcoin might increase to this time may not reach $40000 because all-time-high is $69000. We are still around $30000, that bitcoin may increase up to almost $40000

Let us continue the fun of monthly price guess. What did you think will be bitcoin highest price in May?
2308  Other / Archival / Re: Current list of exchanges without KYC on: April 30, 2023, 10:32:56 PM
I used to use OKX also and it also requires to done KYC first before any trading and all that stuff
OKX will not require KYC up to certain amount of money that you want to withdraw. My complain was that they asked me for my phone number and verify the phone number through text message received with the phone number from OKX before I was able to withdraw my $40. I was disappointed to see that, but some people will not consider that as KYC because sim card can be gotten in some countries without registration and some people can use fake identity to register sim.
2309  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Hash games entertainment on: April 30, 2023, 04:48:51 PM
Tell us more about you before we find out more. Where is your casino registered? Let me guess it is not yet registered because likely you scam to scam.

I'm not sure I can see any good reason people would transfer money to a complete newbie's website, no matter how shiny it is.
The domain was created just last month. Anyone that pays into any address given by the website will just be scammed.

You may want to do something to get people start trusting you...
What scammers will not likely be able to do.
2310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I am Really tired of this Lie (India 99 - 1 Nigeria) on: April 30, 2023, 03:21:38 PM
What is this? This does not belong to gambling or gambling discussion. Either this is moved to off-topic or Nigeria board, or politics and society.

It is a lie though.
2311  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bit555.io Scam on: April 30, 2023, 12:16:50 PM
Someone complained of scam about the site on this forum last year:
WARNING! SCAM SITE

On Trustpilot, most complaints their said the site is scam just like you are saying now: https://www.trustpilot.com/review/bit555.io

According to this site: https://www.scamadviser.com/check-website/bit555.io, it is given a trust score of 1 out of 100.

It is not about crypto but about negative reviews.

Stay away from the scam site.
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2022/2023 on: April 30, 2023, 08:00:15 AM
Fulham vs Man City team game is going to start after a few hours today in Premier League. I am a little worried about which team will win this team today. Man City is now in the 2nd position in the points table. Fulham is in the 10th position. The players of the Fulham team are playing.  If the quality is good today, maybe Fulham will win. But the quality of Man City team players is already very good. Maybe if the players of both teams play very well today, then the match may be a draw. But everyone is hoping that Man City will win today's match.  If the players of Man City team play badly then Man City will not win the match. I am looking forward to see this game which team will win.
What we know is that Arsenal started this season very well, but they later disappointed us when we thought they may win this season, but they started to play bad and giving Manchester City the chance to take over. Fulham may be good, but Manchester City is too good and the club is likely to take down any club right now. I guess today is the day that Manchester City will take the first position from Arsenal. Fulham team may try their best, but likely Manchester City would win.
2313  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35,000-$37,000 for Bitcoin in 2023 as my peaking barrier, is breakout feasible? on: April 30, 2023, 07:49:44 AM
Do you guys believe it would surpass $35k-37k this year?
The fun continues: Bitcoin price guess, 2023

No one knows what the highest price of bitcoin will be before the end of 2023, we only have fun by speculating the price, even some speculation are just price guess.

This is my instinct rather than a professional analysis.
If I remember very well, the three types of analyses that I read when I wanted to start to trade are technical, fundamental and sentimental analyses. If you are a good trader, you know much about technical and fundamental analyses, there will still be instinct sometimes which makes it sentimental.

2314  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losses In Gambling That Still Haunts You Until This Day on: April 28, 2023, 11:03:36 PM
Maybe a day for some people, but not for addicts. Some people do not lost to gambling at ones, it is gradually. All they will noticed is that they will feel like using money for gambling, even if the money is for another thing. And they will be losing it all the time because they gamble frequently.
2315  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I don't know if am right or wrong about this. on: April 28, 2023, 04:16:42 PM
You have let him know the risks, then teach him. But always warn him and keep on telling him the risks. He should not use more than the amount of money he can afford to lose. For beginners, he should even use small amount of money that is lower than the amount of money that he can afford to lose.

Binance is a centralized exchange that’s my first red flag, decentralized exchange takes away the control from you even in your own funds and also many of them requires Kyc verification which is also an issue on your privacy protection.
Try out so decentralized exchange for trading like Bisq
He is talking about trading, he can only use those exchanges for spot and future trading, especially if it is scalping or day trading which are the riskiest. He can use smart contract decentralized exchanges too, but I will advice him to use centralized exchanges for convenience and more pairs, but he should not leave his coins on the exchanges, I mean the coins that are not used for trading. If he does not want to trade for some days, he should send his coins back to a noncustodial wallet.
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you blame someone for your gambling losses? on: April 28, 2023, 12:35:10 PM
They are very lucky that they can pay a fine if 150000 naira each.

People are just greedy and only looking for ways to warm money. Even if that is what they want to achieve, no through something risky like gambling.

The mother and the son after gambling away 5.6 million naira, that is about $8,000. When the reality dawned on them, they gave false information in petition, accusing someone of fraudulently transferring the fund from their Opay account to the sport betting account without their authorization.
When the gambling site account can be traced to the bank that they use for deposit to know the whole truth. Some people just want to play smart when they are not smart with information.
2317  Economy / Trading Discussion / Trading not a get rich quick on: April 28, 2023, 07:42:22 AM
This is another sadden story again about someone that just supposed not to trade crypto and meme stocks. Trading and investment is not a get rich quick. Meme stocks trading is like gambling. Coins like bitcoin may be promising, but what if you invested at $50000, bitcoin price now at $30000. Bitcoin will get to all-time-high but not good to use the money that is not yours.

As for trading, not that it is not a get rich quick, but you should use the money that you can afford to lose. The man may wanted to return that money, but crypto and meme stock trading  landed him in prison.

The former chief financial officer of a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) was sentenced to three years in prison after embezzling $5 million, which he used to trade cryptocurrencies and “meme stocks.“

2318  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The madness of gambling addicts. on: April 27, 2023, 03:30:37 PM
He was being innovative and showing initiative in figuring out how to continue to gamble. Give the guy some credit lol.
I can never give such a person credit. Someone that gambling matters to than the happiness of his family. I hope other addicted people can learn from this, that gambling can not give them anything but than to be losing more and more if addicted. Our elders should be good examples and role models.

2320  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The psychology of betting..... on: April 27, 2023, 11:38:57 AM
I only have betting strategies and using martingale strategy at times after I knew it is very risky.

Most of my strategies is about how to risk little and lose little or to gain little, not even martingale that can go wrong at times and lead to big loss.

Betting should be fun, when using just little amount of money, not going beyond the budget set for it and if I noticed that I am winning as I am gambling, not that I am losing all the time which can make me suspect something wrong going on. I do not think there are superstitious ways to win casino games.
