Just spoke with AMT and they are busy trying to get their orders out.

In other words, they haven't shipped squat. They're busy trying to get them to work.

Simple answer to the question "Does Innosilicon have right to sell the chips or not?" will resolve the double.

So you purchased/licensed your chips from Innosilicon? Can you post a picture of the bare chips you use?
2303  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.998 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 11, 2014, 04:53:03 PM
Hey guys, give me an honest answer here. I live in Europe, if I buy this miner(1BTC) does it have a chance to pay itself off in 2 months? According to www.bitcoinx.com/profit/ it will pay itself off in 48 days.

This one http://btcinvest.net/en/bitcoin-mining-profit-calculator.php?diff=4207145893.95632482&dcosts=620&diff_mincrease=20&blpbtc=25&dhsmhs=180000&diff_mincreasedecrease=0.1&btcusd=640.72&dpowcon=365&btcusd_mincrease=0&pcost=0.14&calcweeks=32&dleadtime=0&action=calc# says it will pay itself off as well factoring in 20% difficulty increase, however at 25% diff increase it's giving me weird results.

Actually that calculator looks a bit broken, but I am not sure.

All future difficulty estimates are just that, estimates, but at a price of 1 BTC there's a really good chance these will make positive ROI (because you can have them up and mining in just a few days from when you order).
2304  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [Antminer S1 Sales open] Price changes daily, now 0.999 BTC for 180GH/s on: March 11, 2014, 03:13:22 AM
It tends to be an exponential curve so running half the watts usually returns more than half the hashing power as long as there is enough power for the chips to come on. The limiting factor for any home mining farm is the Amps you circuit breaker can carry. Wink

That is true for under-volting, not for under-clocking. Can the S1 be easily under-volted?
2305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to steal Satoshi's stash? on: March 11, 2014, 03:04:11 AM
Wait what? did you even read beyond that point? you are partially quoting to prove that you are right is that what you trying to do here? I repeat my self todays computing power 10^15+ so theoritically if classical computing keeps going forward at the same pace it's advanced with since the 60s we will be looking at 10^30 10^40 Flops in the next decade or two which is enough to crack 128bits in a few seconds and we will move on to 10^70 Flops and beyond in another decade or two from there, that is without taking into consideration anything else! which not even remotly true

Obligitory XKCD:

2306  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Kimoto Gravity Well Difficulty Adjustment for Bitcoin on: March 11, 2014, 02:09:54 AM
In other words, by not having ready a solution for prolonged major hashrate drop you people are working toward scenario where Bitcoin is likely dead.

The only way you'll see a major hashrate drop will be after Bitcoin is already dead.
2307  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: [ANN] US/North American Bitfury sales NEW STOCK ***NOW SHIPPING*** on: March 10, 2014, 10:15:55 PM
What would be a fair asking price for 9 PCI Hash cards and M board?

The price to beat is $3/gh. How fast do your cards run?
2308  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 10, 2014, 10:12:07 PM
Does anyone have definitive shipping dates? I want to hold AMT to what they say so I have more justification (as if I need any more) when it comes time to pursue legal action. I gave a week since my last email and have gotten no information in return. I have given far too much of my time to AMT, but I have allowed four more days before I take some action. This has become quite ridiculous. Any large corporation would have been sued so long ago for doing this. I do not like to be that person, but I know when I am entitled to something. I will update this thread again after Friday as to status of my pursuit of justice in this matter. Hopefully that will not be necessary.

Yes, they gave definitive dates.

I mean the psu having too much power frying the circuits? Is it possible?

No. Think of it the other way around. The devices pulls only as much power as it needs from the power supply. The power supply does not force power into the device.

WE ARE AMT - THE USERNAME AMT_MINERS IS USUALLY ALYSSA OR JIM, BUT OCCASIONALLY HANNA, EMANUAL , CHRIS OR JENNA MAY WRITE FROM THIS USERNAME AS WELL.

Are you new to the Internet? Please stop with the shouting. The moderators will start removing your posts if you continue.

The policy to not remove anything worked when the forum was small. Now that we have thousands of posts a day, we can't afford 50% of them being junk. The moderators are now instructed to be less tolerant of low-value posts.

Some guidelines:

1. Free speech - you can say anything as long as it is relevant and presented in a calm and polite manner. Swearing, SHOUTING etc. make your post more likely to be removed.
2313  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Is AMT par for the bitcoin course? on: March 09, 2014, 11:14:49 PM
Yes. Our preliminary tests show 25% increase in hashrate and 25% lower power consumption. We will receive new chips tomorrow and will have samples available to developers.

NEW REV2 CHIPS HAVE ARRIVED!!
2314  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 09, 2014, 05:35:29 AM
We have gotten some updates here and there but the constant hostility makes it really difficult for anyone to really see them. If you search AMTs username should be easy enough to find the updates they have posted.

The "updates" are filled with lies.

The new Bitfury chip sounds good. 25% faster, 25% less power. Keep an eye out for it. If it comes out at a reasonable price it'll be a winner.
2316  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 09, 2014, 02:56:35 AM
you have no clue what you are talking about.  Most companies in the US are incorporated in Delaware.   Go look at where every us bank is incorporated.   Stop blasting this forum with crap cause you don't know what the fuck you are talking about.  You are making this a shitty place.

I know this thread moves pretty fast, but you've got to keep up. Nobody cares if AMT is incorporated in DE. They are doing business illegally in PA while using another company's name.
2317  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 08, 2014, 10:58:40 PM
Let's all stay calm and wait for our miners.

Thank you for waiting for your miners. My Ants are generating more and more bitcoins with every day you wait!
2318  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 08, 2014, 09:35:00 PM
That's not true. A corporation can be registered just about anywhere within the States and be valid. All they would need in PA is occupancy permits in the name of the corporate entity.

You're confusing "registered" with "incorporated". Yes, they can incorporate in any state, but before they start doing business in another state, they are a foreign corporation and need to register with the state. This is especially important for a state with a sales tax, like PA. I'm sure the city they are doing business in also requires them to obtain a business license.

Feel free to read over some of the legalese:

http://www.legis.state.pa.us/cfdocs/legis/LI/consCheck.cfm?txtType=HTM&ttl=15&div=0&chpt=41

Quote
A foreign business corporation, before doing business in this Commonwealth, shall procure a certificate of authority to do so from the Department of State

Even worse, AMT is doing business under someone else's name.

2319  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 08, 2014, 05:12:33 PM
Our company is registered in Delaware, not Pennsylvania, it was registered on May 29th, 2013.  Its head office is located at 355 Lancaster Ave, Haverford, PA 19041 - These are two separate entities and don't have anything to do with each other from a legal perspective.

Why are you not registered in PA? It is illegal to conduct business in a state without registering with the local/state government. Is this so that you can avoid paying state taxes?
2320  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Official Thread: AMT on: March 08, 2014, 05:31:10 AM
Again, we are shipping, we're understaffed and can use help from this community to be the company you guys need us to be. We're not sitting around mining with your rigs, we're just trying to get them out the door as fast as possible ad using everyone to do so. Customer service and sales is slipping because of that.

Rather than wasting your time posting worthless ramblings, all you have to do is simply post what order #/payment date you have shipped up to. But that would require you to actually be shipping miners, so I don't expect you'll do so.
