I will be getting a hardware wallet in the near future because bitcoins are worth more than $1000 a coin now so they are more valuable than ever!  Maybe the ledger nano or even the trezor if they ever come down in price.  Hardware wallets are not a necessity. If you just create a paper wallet containing the private keys it will be more than secure enough assuming you take the right precautions. Same basically goes up for storing your digital wallet files in USB sticks. These methods are free since everyone has a printer and USB sticks at home. I am sure you just want to try out a hardware wallet for the fun, otherwise you would have bought it already (regardless of the BTC price). Storing your wallet file on a USB stick is different than a hardware wallet. You can still use hardware wallets on infected pc's -which isn't possible with a USB stick- because the private keys never leave the hardware wallet. But if you're careful they can indeed be as safe but much cheaper  Honestly it is not safe to use usb stick to save our private keys or wallet.. because there is possbility that usd stick can be destroyed or damaged if you do not use it.. just like my 7 usb stick out of 9 usb stick the 2 still alive but the 7 cant be use and not detected on pc or laptop.. We all know that buying drugs with bitcoin is not a good concept an idea. And I knew also that majority of the bitcoin enthusiast is not doing this things maybe few of them only. But as much as possible we shouldn't do this kind of a thing neither try it.
That's a humanity. They couldn't find any better way where to spend bitcoin, no they buy drugs with it. That is just awful. Bitcoin is life to me. Around a month ago I left my work and now I get payment from my campaign and that is not bad money that helps me to cover my necessary costs. Using Bitcoin in illegal activities are great for the people that are bad. It is pseudo anymous and probably a way that they want. I hope a lot of people does use Bitcoin for LEGAL activities. How much did you get for it. I hope it supports you in you daily activities. Usin bitcoin in illicit activities such as drug trade, money laundering, gun for hire and the different kinds of illegal activities will soon be stopped. The European Union is already making a move to combat this illegal transactions that hides in cryptocurrencies. They are creating a task force to monitor and put into jail the culprits that works underground using blockchain technology. If EU would succesfuly find a way to find or trace those transactions in bitcoin then anonymity features of bitcoin would be no more and i just cant believe that this thing would possibly happen in bitcoin but we cant still be assured if EU would be succesful on this kind of mission.It would be a good idea to stop those illegal doings but anonymity will be compromised. I never support the idea of buying drugs, lower ones like cannabis or big ones like cocaine. That is a fixed idea of mine which will never change. Having said that EU surely will have a hard time trying to find a way to trace these transactions specifically. That is because in the dark net in the dark markets people know very well how to protect themselves there as they know what they are doing. EU is not a threat in my view. However people should stop using bitcoin to buy drugs and stop buying drugs at all. I thnk if you are just using your laptop without vpn yo ucan be still traceable even you are using bitcoin.. Same here that i can not support that kind of way to buy illegal drugs that honestly it can be bad image for bitcoin.. There is many part that they can use and deal in dark market places using vps and their wallet there just to sure that they are safe than they using their own laptop or computer better to use the vps. but i hope that we can also have safety ways here in online that they can be still get those drug dealers and buyers with the support of online wallets. or developer of other wallet. |

Bitcoins are a great store of value but that doesn't mean that you should never sell, look what happened to the people that used to say "house prices will never go down" they lost the lot.
Just use bitcoins as an everyday currency, buy a few things online, a debit card for in store purchases and save the rest just as you would with normal fiat cash. This really only works best if you are currently receiving your pay check in bitcoins to start with but if not there are a few good companies that will handle the trade for you each week/fortnight.
I have never sold any bitcoin to get fiat. I just use it to buy things. The problem is, in some country there are only few stores that accept bitcoin directly. So the next option will be exchanging bitcoin to fiat to spend it for regular needs. One example is here, in my country there is a service that let us pay for our bills, load credit to our mobile phones, they accept bitcoin but the rate is less than 3.5% of the actual buy price of bitcoin so we have no choice but to accept it to let us use our Bitcoin to our daily needs. I can relate on your situation on there pal since we live on the same country i suppose on which our local wallet provider does really give those service on its users.We dont really have any option since its the only way to use our bitcoin and also the way to encash or exchange it on our local fiat currency. I think we are all in the same country which is we can also pay for our monthly bills but not only that thing we can also buy and shopping online they are adding new features like buying domains buying in purse.. you can shop accessories in newegg. that honestly it can help for those other bitcoin user to spend their bitcoin.. i am waiting to get their debit card or physical debit since they are already release a vcc virtual credit card visa they can use it to connect in paypal to shop in other website.. so we can use bitcoin right now and connect with paypal if you can not buy with bitcoin you can depositing your vcc and connect to paypal and shop what you want in online.. |

Why would anyone want to short when it is obvious that it is going to up from the beginning of the year?  That is a no brainer because that's what it does every year then it goes down in February or mid-month here after. Come on now, some people especially when trading volume so high should use their brains. That pattern will die as soon as enough people notice it. People will start buying in December and sell it in January to take advantage of the price increase. When that happens, the price will start falling in January. I just also feel that the price can be fall in this month.. but there is no proof or reason that the price will crash soon.. Well for me i just relaying what is the movement from last year.. since bitcoin is gradually developed and many company are using bitcoin It is hard to predict if the price can be fall.. So i think they are just wrong in prediction but they must monitor the movement and not short all of their holdings just few percentage. and buy if the price will goes down if not better to the rest and wait for timing.. |

It's not better not to invest, it is better to invest in good and legit things and not in the ponzi/scam things.
But because of the high risk that is on investment we hesitate to invest in something unless we belive and hope for a profit.
Yes, a lot of scam there who are will give promises but instead of investing to them just buy bitcoin and let it grow. Just set goals if you are lacking financially, what I mean is, you can set aside some of your money every month to buy bitcoin 'till you can make even 1 bitcoin. I understand your point and it's good to be optimistic on investing something and to be patient too. Personally I have set my goal to hold the bitcoins as long as possible until one day if I need money urgently then I would sell. Much better i think if you use bitcoin to scaling up.. because the movement of the price is not stable and i think you can increase the amount of your money if you buy low and sell high for minute traders.. or hourly traders. the movement of the price of bitcoin is fast and there is high spikes.. So in order to make a good profit just invest it in bitcoin if the price was increase even a little bit that actually you already made a profit you can sell and wait soon to buy bitcoins again and wait for the price increased.. |

i think the price will not be $1000 US but lets hope it will be happen tonight. i see on the chart in poloniex market, the line is going to be stagnan or maybe it will get down in a moment before its break another price and increase high. I just came from a real gambling place, and I like playing online more, I feel like I have a chance of winning. I just lost money last night in the casino, but it's okay. i do not know about it , i think may be there is .. because users bitcoin there is under the age 18 too yes i think in every country in every society there must be people who are under the age of 18 but still they play gambling. although the government are making different planing and strategies to stop them playing gambling but still they find way to continue playing gambling. This is really hard to stop on making those young people to make them avoid to play gambling because we all know there are lots of ways to play gamlbing online and even offline without being caught by the government and no matter how they ban gambling but still they could able to play and thats why some dont bother at all already since they cant completely stop it. You can't really tell how many but you could just estimate. It's all about that like the human population, it's hard to say the actual number. You can't count your hair but you could estimate. It increases everyday for sure, some maybe just use it for business but not always being used.
It's not only difficult to name up the exact number of people that are using Bitcoin, but another difficult point is what people think a Bitcoin user is. Is it someone that is using Bitcoin once or twice a week, is it someone that is using Bitcoin at least once a month... I think the closest point where we can get an answer to that, is when wallet services, exchanges, gambling sites, etc, bundle their power to share user information with each other to come up with a number. It won't be fully accurate, but at least much more accurate than all the guesses we find here. Exactly, I do not know if someone have mentioned it before but it is a very ambiguous question and as was mentioned by the guy above, if we consider in which period, can be(hours,days, month, and so on) add commonness, etc, so having said that, everybody can estimate the level of use approximately and see if more people are using this or not, one is to see the statistics of the network, for example the volume and quantity of daily transactions in different periods of time. I think you can not be still estimate even you are counting the daily transaction from the blockchain we can not consider the amount of daily transaction will be the same number of bitcoin users.. how about for other that actually not using bitcoin for daily transaction and they are dealing for a long time before they are receive or send bitcoin.. it can be seen as a bitcoin bank. and although i dislike the idea generally but coinbase or other services similar to that offer all the features that makes them a bank.
for example you make deposits there, they hold all the funds and you only have an account as you have with a bank. and they offer ways to deposit money and turn it into bitcoin and vice versa.
the only thing missing is issuing debit cards, and giving annual profit.
Coinbase is a scam How you can say that coinbase is scam.. honestly i am using coinbase as wallet but i still not experience any issue about that site.. Maybe for those who are using credit card to deposit i just heard before but i think the issue was solved.. I am still using coinbase for other transaction activity the sad part is you can not use it for gambling.. |
