If you go to a country that allows weapons to be carried out in public and you're coming from one that banned carrying them out in public, you'll be allowed to do that as soon as you're in the one that allows you. In this manner, if you buy a gun with bitcoins, this purchase may be considered illegal in the country of your residence and fully legal in the country of the seller. I never support the idea of buying drugs, lower ones like cannabis or big ones like cocaine. That is a fixed idea of mine which will never change.

Having said that EU surely will have a hard time trying to find a way to trace these transactions specifically. That is because in the dark net in the dark markets people know very well how to protect themselves there as they know what they are doing. EU is not a threat in my view.
