2301  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: investment in bitcoin should be short term or long term. on: January 22, 2023, 03:05:24 PM
Short-term investment can be considered gambling or lottery. You can lose (most probably) or you can win (if you're lucky). If it's time-limited and you need to cash out at some certain time it's always a bad idea. There's a significant chance you'll have to liquidate at a loss.  Roll Eyes
Investment isn't a kind of gambling/lottery. But if you invest in shit coins or meme coins, I agree that it can be said to be gambling. So, gambling or not, it doesn't depend on how long you invest, it depends on what coins you invest in. People who invest in coins with good fundamentals must be based on deep research and analysis. They also use certain strategies to optimize profits. While gambling, mostly depends on luck. Research, analysis, or strategy may have no significant influence. So, basically, investment has a bit different approach.

Of course it's not. I was just comparing it to gambling/lottery, because if you're setting a time limit/period for your investment, it means you'll be forced to sell the stocks, crypto etc you have invested in after some period of time. Let's say you bought BTC at $20k and you have set a time limit of 1 month. After that time you' ll have to sell to get your money back (or may be you borrowed this money) and BTC dumps to $16k after this month. That's what I meant by short term investment. Long term investment, on the other hand, is not so time limited and you have more chance to succeed. After 5 years, say, BTC can be $70k or $700k but you'll earn something either way.  Cool

I haven't seen anyone investing in bitcoin or cryptocurrency with a time limit. I get your point that you aren't earning any profit in the short term, and if it has, then for sure you are lucky. As we can see from the bitcoin chart, it is always long-term; yes, you may profit in the short term over a few months, but it is only a small amount compared to over a few years. The reason for those who sold early is always that they can't control their emotions, which is why they sell even if they're losing as they are scared.
2302  Economy / Gambling / Re: How best to report vulnerabilities? on: January 22, 2023, 02:05:13 PM
There are only a few people that won't be exploiting the bugs like you and didn't take advantage of them, but for sure, if others see this, they will take that opportunity to get more money. I'm hoping you were the only one who was aware of it. Even if they don't have any rewards, bug bounty hunters will usually send an email to the support team with information and screenshots about the bug. As you have already informed them and have received not good feedback from their support, try emailing those to them. I think they need hard proof before they will act on this.
2303  Economy / Economics / Re: Does a side job/business improve your finanical stability ? on: January 22, 2023, 01:10:13 PM
I think that even on the past, a stable and high paying jobs are already rare to find and in case you came across one, it will still be hard to apply on them due the benefits that entails on them. But we don't really need one. What important for now is to have any job which makes you some $$$. It must be enough to keep yourself alive.

If it pays less then you should learn how to budget or try to add another one (side hustle). That should make you feel better now. Saving must be practiced so that when unexpected events happen like a loss of job, you will still have something to get while you currently hunt for another job replacement.

Trust me to find a job that is stable as right now we can say that they pay high but you will not last for a year since they fire your or the company goes back up. Finding a company that has high wage are also difficult to find if you found one the requirements are very high and you are not applicable to apply for it. Others also take a lot of years like getting promoted to a position but you spend 10 years before you got it. On a low salary also you need to know how to budget and don't spend it on unnecessary things, also having a side hustle is difficult as you are just rendering a small time which is why others are just doing small businesses like selling things.
2304  Economy / Economics / Re: How is the cost of living in your country? on: January 22, 2023, 12:14:51 PM
In our country, I can say that it is expensive as we are living in a third-world country and the minimum wage is too low but if you will see how much the price is here you will say cheap as you are in a rich country and earning big comparing it to our wages. Petrol here is $1.10 per litre which is very high and we are hoping for a big rollback to make it a dollar or less. The chicken here is more or less $4 per kilo which is also higher than before. It increases all the prices here and still, our wages are still low we are having a hard time coping with these things.
2305  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Visible is your trading plan on: January 22, 2023, 11:22:36 AM
I just make a note from it on sticky notes on my PC but just those important parts, like I, need 3 confirmations before I trigger the trade and those 3 confirmations should be written on those notes. But most of the time I don't see it since it was already in my mind but mostly when there are tweaks or I learn new things that can improve my trading style I really wrote it in sticky notes and before I trade I will re-read it until I can now memorize it.
2306  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading as a newbie? on: January 22, 2023, 09:10:16 AM
I believe that one of the most important stages for a beginner is training. This is something that is really worth paying enough attention to. Without this, the result can be somewhat frustrating.
Yes I think so. If you are trying to learn something new then you need to focus well first. And if you can't focus well then it will take you a long time to learn that task and what you are not good at.  Can't gain experience. So I think we should always think carefully and then start any work with a decision.

That is why you need to settle your mind first and make your decision that you want to learn this so that while you are learning, reading, and watching tutorials, you can understand it easily. It is like reading a book that you don't want to read, so you can't understand what the story is. Training or practicing on a demo account is really essential in trading because it can help you tweak your strategy and determine if it is not working before losing money from your trades.
2307  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: January 22, 2023, 08:15:13 AM
Money is a good follower, but is a poor leader.

Money will always lead you astray, but it will follow you well.
Depending on which angle you interpret this I do agree with you, not just sure what laws of attraction you are using here, but money will always follow a skilled person that's for sure and once you have it if you lack the discipline to handle it.. can lead you astray in this regard and move you from a Hero to a Zero Smiley

Any man that seeks to follow money becomes misled.
Money is meant to follow you, while you are meant to follow value.

What's your take on this?
I kind of disagree with you on this one, money can be a motivator for many and if say at a work place they're not giving you the right salary you leave and seek for a better paying job because you know what your skills are worth...So basically in this scenario you following the money and highest bidder wins!
well sometime money we get in excessive amount is a test itself.
One should stay humble during the richness and in need that it the most important rule of life.

But people when it comes to money they changed a lot! They will be doing anything just to get money . I only knew some friends and relatives that they still humble even if they are getting rich and they are more helpful but others that ive known was they wont be saying Hi to you or not also talking to you anymore , others also they will think that you are just using them just to get money. I know money is important as we cant leave without it as we cant buy  our needs but we should also keep in our mind that we need to be good to those less fortunate.
2308  Economy / Economics / Re: [Article] How ChatGPT Will Destabilize White-Collar Work on: January 22, 2023, 07:20:13 AM
Mostly those owners can benefit on this as it will lower their expenses through salary of the employees, though we still need people behind it like quality assurance as for sure there are some mistakes made by the AI that needs to be addressed by the human. But it is really sad truth that the possibility on this was very high and really can affect those in white collar jobs but it will open new sector of jobs for others. We cant really stop this so the best thing to do is we need to learn new skills apply for other type of work.
2309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I sell motorbikes to buy bitcoins on: January 22, 2023, 06:23:40 AM
I think OP have take advantage and momentum after selling his motorbike and invested in Bitcoin, due this thread or topic made on January 7 and Bitcoin price still under $17,000 I believe with OP decision was right and earn much profit today if try selling Bitcoin right now after reaching above $23,000.

Right now depending in OP hands about his Bitcoin investment try to scalping with selling when price up and buy back later if talking possibility with Bitcoin will going down but I don't sure has opportunity Bitcoin back under $17,000. I want to see OP back and repost about his percentage profit earn without twenty days investing in Bitcoin.
OP seems to have benefited from his investment. from selling his unused motorcycle and buying him Bitcoins. Now the investment has grown even bigger.
I think he will continue to hold it at a better price in the future. currently too short of the investment made. don't be too hasty to get out of the market. we've seen bitcoin grow very well. the situation may also end even better.

We are not sure if he already sold his bitcoin right after the price rose, but I am hoping that he didn't and that he held it for longer. However, if he needs the money, it is okay. It was a great example of him selling his motorcycle and buying bitcoin as the price was low and holding it until today. For sure, he already made a profit, and I just realized that the profit he makes is greater than my salary. I am really eager now to  buy more bitcoin. Grin
2310  Economy / Economics / Re: Excessive Rain Can Hamper the Economic Cycle on: January 22, 2023, 04:45:01 AM
Mostly those countries that are near in Ring of Fire are really prone to typhoons. I am very sorry about what happened in your country. Our country is also experiencing moderate rain as we have a low-pressure area that already hit us, though the rain is not the same in your country as it has been 12 hours, which means a lot of flooding there, and I am worried about those low-lying areas as they are very susceptible to flooding. Additionally, those farmers' crops are affected, and food prices will rise once more.
2311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your take on this crypto gambling use case idea? on: January 22, 2023, 03:41:46 AM
Do you think it makes sense if a crypto gambling platform only accepts it's own token for gambling and gambling on it's platform? If the games they offer are one-of-a-kind, new, and addictive wouldn't this make the gambling token very valuable? I am asking on behalf of a friend who wants to build his own crypto gambling project on the blockchain. Will this work? Will this fail? What's your take on this?

It is a good idea but make sure that one of a kind addictive game is really nice game and not boring because that is the key of those gamblers that really buying those token because of those game . Though i haven't saw any casino that only accepting their coin as they want to accept most of the cryptocurrency as the gamblers wants wide variety of coins they can pay. What i suggest is that if it wont work like there are only few gambler wants it then you need to add another cryptocurrency as their payment and continue running the casino
2312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: It's a good idea to just register on casino on: January 21, 2023, 11:37:07 PM
In general, this is a working idea, but how much do you plan to earn from it? 10-20-100 dollars? And this is in a good case if you can fulfill the conditions for receiving the bonus without losing your original money. Is it worth the risk of such a profit if you initially do not plan to play for fun, but want to make a profit?

I absolutely agree with you. Gambling just because you will be given a bonus when depositing is not the best idea. As I understand it, OP is a gambler who thinks he can beat the casino, but in fact he is one of those who pecks at marketing tricks without realizing it.

In my opinion, gambling is necessary only for pleasure and only for free money. Bonuses when replenishing an account are just a way to attract the attention of a gambler.

Theoretically, having a bonus and playing games with low casino margins, you can "save" part of the bonus and get extra money. The question is, is it worth the time? Generous bonuses like "100% on the first deposit" are usually limited to either a very small amount or have unrealistic wagering conditions. I just don't understand why do this - in the end it will bring a couple of dollars (even a couple of tens) of profit.
Welcome bonus or the sign-up bonuses with wagering requirements to be fulfilled to withdraw is really a hard take infront of the users, because only is a very hard task. The time spent on making the wager is worth it, but in mean we need to have required capital to enjoy the wagering.

They are doing this to avoid abuse on their bonuses because some just signed up on their casino just to get those bonuses. Though there are really some casino that before you can withdraw you need to reach 500$ to withdraw and hard to reach but again we need to do it but mostly if this is the case you already lose the bonuses
2313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice on choosing a crypto casino on: January 21, 2023, 11:04:09 PM
Not silly question, I like the way you research platforms before choosing right one for you. Just check gambling board of the forum and find casino Ann threads to read feedback of users. Currently, Stake DuelBits Bitcasino Roobet Gamdom and other similar casinos have great welcome offers, I doubt you will regret registering on mentioned platforms. Best of luck!
We are not advised to explore each casino to know its reputation, all reputable casinos on the gambling board have been tested and guaranteed safety factors because the casino is licensed. So simply choose a casino from the top list of casinos in the forum according to individual preference.

It is really best to choose those casino that are from this forum because it is sure that those casino are good and not biased feedback from here unlike searching on Google that some of those results are the review are been paid off by those casino just to give positive feedback. It is difficult to trust new casinos right now that is why you need to double check those review so that you won't get scammed
2314  Economy / Economics / Re: what is the key to your success investing in bitcoin.. on: January 21, 2023, 04:46:13 AM
To generate money, I believe investing in Bitcoin must be a secondary source of income, or at the very least something you do when you have extra cash. You must concentrate on a source of passive income, such as a regular employment or business. HODLing is essential since investing in Bitcoin is risky and volatile but it pays off handsomely over the long run.

Others made Bitcoin as their primary income like trading and also they are holding but it is risky as it is very volatile that is why others are still working and at the same time they are investing their extra money from salary on bitcoin. Others was also transitioning from saving money from piggy bank or depositing money on banks they will now be buying bitcoin as the profit is very high and they took the risk of holding it in the long run. Though holding is very difficult if you cant control your emotions that is why you need to have to control your greed and emotions so that you will not bail out.
2315  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What could have Satoshi faced if he made himself known from the beginning on: January 21, 2023, 03:46:12 AM
For sure he/she would already taken by government or someone has a bad intention on him. There are a lot of negative aspects if he  reveal his identity before that is why he is very smart to not disclosed any information as it is not only his life would be affected also with his relatives and it was catastrophe on them. I am just also curious right now if the possibility that he is just lurking here in the forum or how old si he now and what he is doing. But where ever satoshi was I am thankful of him
2316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: QUESTION: For Gambling Enthusiasts ❗❗ on: January 21, 2023, 02:46:13 AM
Looking on the probability of winning on those choices the Letter B is more preferrable because you have a chance to win and you can control the game if you are good on those games and also if PVP game it would be fast game and at the same time enjoyable. Though whether what is the best , it is still good to have implement those options because there are people prefer the other choice as they don't match well to those PVP players.
2317  Economy / Economics / Re: We are not out of the woods yet on: January 21, 2023, 01:40:24 AM
People are free to think what they like, even the great crypto analysts like PlanB can sometimes be wrong. And the funny thing about people in crypto is that, when the price is up, they as why, when it goes down they still ask why.
So when you see some people claiming to give up on crypto doesn't mean they actually give up lol.
Bear market brings buying opportunities if you don't know.
They give up because they can't stand the pressure brought by the bearish market, where in fact bearish market could be a source of opportunities to gain future profits. However, at the end of the day, bearish market won't stay for good as we will always have to witness its counter cycle which is its bullish market. So everyone is free to think what will be the market situation in the next months and years, but rest assured it won't only be bearish but it will also turn bullish in time.

They are only thinking on negative side and also they are very emotional that is why they bail out but again I do respect their choice but for sure when the bitcoin starting to rise they will be buying again or regretting not to buy and sold their bitcoin earlier. If you have experience in holding bitcoin or if you are already in bitcoin since 2016 you've already know that this already happen before even if that price of bitcoin before was too low. There are really red days that is other holders will stay away and forgot their bitcoin that time so that they will not be tempted to sell it.
2318  Economy / Economics / Re: Do your work. on: January 21, 2023, 12:49:36 AM
Some people don't want to take a risk and the sad truth is that they more invest in their retirement and stayed in the company until they will retire. Starting your own business is difficult and if you are still working to save for capital then it will take more time others get old but not investing in your retirement are you will feel that your future of getting old is not secure. What I mean is that it is a good idea that we have to set up our own business but sacrificing those retirement investments is risky as this would be your fallback option if your business will fail.
2319  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you want to be great? Then be ready to learn. on: January 20, 2023, 11:46:12 AM
First imperession is really not always good. A lot of threads here stating that they hearb bitcoin before but don't get interested which for sure they regret. But as always people advice that it is still not too late to invest on it no matter how big or small is your investment. Though I cant blame those people before that they tend to say it was a scam as they are lack of knowledge and also people before was reluctant and not really sure of bitcoin, but for sure right now people tend to invest on it no matter what is the price
2320  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving one third what you earn monthly is not that hard, isn't it ? on: January 20, 2023, 10:54:20 AM
If you are in twenties or early thirties and remain single, earn $3,000 after tax per month, you will probably save $1,000 if you, let's say, spend $500 to $800 on rental, a guest bedroom in a shared house/apartment, $500 on food, $50  on utilities, $150 on phone/internet bills, $400 on commuting costs or gas/maintainance if you have a used car, $200 on occasional entertainment or others. This $1,000 savings will allow you to invest or place a house down payment when time is ripe. Is this possible based on where you live ?

if for singles in my area 1000$ is enough for living expenses in 1 month or more, and you can invest 2000$ each month, indeed the level of life for each country is different so you can say that the way to manage expenses will not be the same

Though most of us will say 1000$ it as the value on the country it is still low or not enough in this third world country as the living expenses in those area are big that needs huge amount of money. There are ton of people earning big that still cant afford on renting house and they are just living in a streets. Let's also base our monthly income on what country we are living in as others will say it was big but if you are living in first world countries it isn't enough.
