2321  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is trust Wallet and Bread Wallet are non-custodial wallet ? on: January 02, 2021, 09:03:54 AM
Trust wallet is a non-custodial wallet as well. I am using it for a while now and have been able to import my seed phrases to metamask. Trust wallet is usually being used for storing ERC20, ERC71 and BEP2 token for people who do airdrops and investing in an ICO or DeFi projects nowadays.

Just a sidenote, even if it claims to be a non-custodial, storing large amount of funds is still not recommended, it's better to use hardware wallet.

2322  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I have found a good Trading Course on: January 02, 2021, 06:30:40 AM
Greetings Everyone,

Just an update regarding c0tt0nc4ndyTA's trading resources. Few hours ago, he announced a summary of what will happen this month of January and what are the plans for the whole 2020. I am just excited to share with you guys that he will also be publishing his paid trading course called "Blueprint" in his youtube channel.

BLUEPRINT RELEASE: As a landmark goal I'll be releasing Blueprint on YouTube for free once we hit the 50,000 subscriber goal. On top of that, Annual Expert Tier Members have an additional bonus as seen below. This is a great way to let people unlock Blueprint by helping the channel grow in a way to access courses instead of paying for them.

ANNUAL TIER REWARDS: This reward is a big one, those who signed up for Annual Membership will already be enjoying Blueprint and Mental Analysis Evolved. Additionally your participation in this YouTube achievement will unlock segment 1 of Butterfly Effect when we hit our goal!

LIVE STREAMS ARE COMING: Starting January 14th I'll be live streaming 5 days a week on YouTube.

MORE THAN CRYPTO: This year I'll be focused on all markets and not just crypto during content creation and trading.

PROGRESSION SYSTEM: As a community we can work together to make c0tt0nc4ndyta grow. I'll be doing my part by amping up production, adding new courses, making things more accessible, live streaming, as well as creating IRL videos. You can help by spreading the word: followers, subscribers, retweets, Patreon, etc!

NEW COURSE: I'll be releasing multiple videos a week on YouTube that focus on increasing our quality of life, and trading as a Day Trader.

DAILY RELEASES: Whether it's new courses, live streams, the release of progression content, or other I'll be uploading various content 6 days a week.

PATREON EXCLUSIVES: For my Annual Expert Tier Members I'll be releasing a few big hidden benefits throughout the year (I think we can agree the first one is huge!) I'll be doing monthly giveaways of mentorship exclusively for all Patreon Expert Tier members, and more exclusive videos that include some "DO NOT MISS" series!

@kramat

You might as well report that person you are talking to to [1] https://t.me/notoscam. It's a support channel of telegram for tagging scammer lurking behind the community, just provide the screenshots you have posted here to serve as your evidence.

The next time you are going to have a transaction, make sure to double check their credibility as most of them would just give you false information for you to get scammed, it's their way to deceive others  Roll Eyes
2324  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to check the All Time High of bitcoin based on average of main exchanges? on: January 02, 2021, 05:36:37 AM
Isn't this enough to check the average all time high of bitcoin? As far as I know, the data given is the average price index of multiple exchanges.

2325  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Hottest decentralized casino/gambling dApp on Ethereum right now? on: January 02, 2021, 04:05:19 AM
I am not really sure if you have heard this game? The game is an Ethereum based dApp game similar to cryptokitties and it's pretty popular nowadays. Most of my cryptocurrecy colleagues are talking about them and they have also launched their competition. I did not bother joining them as I think that I am late comer to join the hype Roll Eyes. Furthermore, I don't know if you are going to buy a piece of axie for as low as $ 20 which is quite expensive when they are just starting their platform.

Found some good tutorial on youtube if you are interested.

2326  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ideas for the next generation of our beloved 'provably fair' games on: January 02, 2021, 03:35:39 AM
Thanks for the thread. I am actually waiting for a topic where I can share a game that I want to be played publicly on a gambling website. Well, during my early years in gambling though, I've created a thread here and ask if there is an existing gambling site that has In-Between or Acey Deucey, also known as Yablon. Surprisingly, based on the replies given, there is no website that offers such game. The game is pretty popular in our country though Wink

Quote from: en.wikipedia.org
Each player must add their ante into the pot. Two cards are then dealt face-up to one player. That player then bets from nothing to the amount that is in the pot at the time whether or not the third card will numerically fall in between the first two. If the third card falls in between the two other cards, the bettor takes the amount he bet out of the pot; if the third card falls outside of the two other cards, the bettor must add what he bet to the pot; and if the third card matches the numerical value of one of the other two cards, the bettor must add to the pot double what they bet. If two cards of the same value come up, e.g. 2,2 the bettor picks if the next card will be higher or lower and bets. If the next card is the same as the last two, i.e. a 2, the bettor must triple their bet.

This is the thread that I have created last year: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5241940.msg54259231#msg54259231
2327  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Electrum 200% fee on: January 02, 2021, 02:39:19 AM
Yesterday, I transferred a fraction of my bitcoin to an exchange with only 4 sats/vbyte and it only took 1 or 2 hours if I am not mistaken. As of now, the mempool is pretty congested which could be the reason why you have paid more or less $2 amount for the tx fee.

Looking at the 24h chart on Mempool size on MB. You need to pay 60+ sats/vbyte if you want your transaction to be included in the next block or more for a faster transaction.

you could be the president of that section Maus hahaha!
What will be our purpose? To monopolize all the art contest?  Cheesy

Kidding aside, I hope that this year, we can all scale our art services in this community while joining various contest from different gambling sites. In fact, winning them would give you a credible image that you true and being honest from all the services you are providing  Wink
2329  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Am I doing anything wrong by holding bitcoin?⁰ on: January 01, 2021, 09:10:47 AM
With holding intention at mind, one of the difficult you'll face is the pressure of selling when the market conditions aren't favorable like during a flash crash.
Isn't it that you'll face much intense selling pressure when bitcoin is continuously increasing in value rather than a decreasing price value? Because you are hoping to re-buy when price crashes thus accumulating more sats eventually.

The question is, when is the right time to sell at peak and re-buy at the dip unless otherwise you are holding for long term and does not care what's happening on the price action. That's just me though Cheesy, but then I might feel a bit of regret if that happens for not being able to learn trading at an early date.
2330  Economy / Services / Re: Pencil Carving Artwork | Personalised Gift | Custom Iconic Art | BTC Accepted on: January 01, 2021, 08:12:43 AM
I really hope to see my art flying international borders and reaching person to person and also art collectors.   Smiley
If ever that you have created personal graphite/pencil carving that is related to bitcoin or any cryptocurrency then you can use the Auctions and Collectibles section to reach artwork collectors. I've seen many of them buying and selling an art piece.

I did see your commissioned art thread for Digital arts and was inspired with it. Thanks.
I might be changing the layout of my announcement thread as it looks unprofessional  Cheesy. Thanks for the reminder. Anyhow, wishing you good luck and a happy new year.
2331  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: $188 million worth of BTC to unknown address from unknown on: January 01, 2021, 06:15:20 AM
We will never know. It doesn't even matter if that large chunk of bitcoin is transfered to an exchange that is intended for a larger sell-off, I wouldn't think that is a negative news personally -- it just means that it is another opportunity to buy at a cheaper rate.

It's just ironic to see that we are somewhat eager to know who and where the transaction is coming from but we're always talking about how to stay private when it comes to transferring our coins from one place to another.
2332  Economy / Services / Re: Pencil Carving Artwork | Personalised Gift | Custom Iconic Art | BTC Accepted on: January 01, 2021, 05:15:35 AM
I don't know if it's just me who is very happy to see a fellow bitcoiner and an artist at the same time posting our ads in this community. What's really surprising is that most of the people who won the Roobet Art contest have different set of skills in different medium which they can offer in monetizing their skills. Also, you have a big name in your country I must say which is a pretty good factor for commissioned works you are offering.

I wonder if there is an art guild of bitcointalk members LOL
2333  Economy / Services / Re: [CFNP] YOLOdice.com Signature Campaign on: December 31, 2020, 05:31:15 PM
I hope you are all doing well and I'm sorry for bringing what can't be seen as a good news. But considering the price evolution, let's remember that all members earn more today than 6 months ago!
That's pretty surprising news for 2021 i must say Cheesy. Well, regardless of the price change of YOLOdice campaign, I am still in to promoting or wearing the signature of this gambling site and I am proud that you accepted me to join the campaign throughout the year.

Thank you @mOgliE and Happy New Year!  Cheesy
2334  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: SEC on decentralized projects on: December 31, 2020, 10:28:05 AM
if this is right why is nakamoto hidden?
There could a lot of reason why satoshi decides to remain hidden in public. As we all know, Satoshi Nakamoto is one of the prominent member of cypherpunk whose main purpose is to advocate privacy in today's age. Moreover, he created a technology where a disruption of cental bank is quite feasible. You are probably right and I won't be surprised if satoshi wanted to remain anonymous as there could be a potential harm from the government if he failed to do so.

Moreover, the reason why XRP is being sued by SEC is because that fidget spinner shitcoin had a record of price manipulation and has no real life use case and I don't think there is a correlation why satoshi hides just because XRP is a centralised coin while BTC is not.

See this thread for massive list of satoshi's whereabouts.

2335  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Would You Enter Now, Sell close to the top, then Rebuy at Dip? on: December 31, 2020, 09:28:49 AM
That is basically the concept of trading if you are talking about going "Long" in the market. However, the concept of buy low sell high is not easy as it sounds. Trading entails a lot factors and indicators that institutions taught us about how will the market behaves.

For me personally, there is nothing wrong about how you execute your trades as long as you have a target price and stop loss in mind just to avoid getting rekt and as much as possible making a profit. Do not also forget the importance of risk management.

2337  Economy / Economics / Re: New Year | New Resolutions - How you gonna manage your finances - 2021 ? on: December 31, 2020, 06:51:08 AM
I am planning to hold bitcoin for long term so using Dollar(peso) cost averaging is my best bet while being frugal at all cost. I am just a student living alongside with my parents so bills and other expenses is not a big deal (for now).

Also, I am learning on how to trade and I even enroll myself to a trading course which will serve as a guidance to how and when to execute a trade. We're starting the guided trading session by January so I think that would be a great deal to learn risk management. I am hoping that I can do it consistently throughout the year while studying.
2338  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is cold storage better than coinbase? on: December 31, 2020, 05:50:52 AM
Pretty simple. It's because you have the full authority to your coins. Hence the saying "Not your keys not your bitcoin". Using non-custodial has the possibility to lock or suspend your account for whatever reason. To some extent, aside from considering the security part of your holdings, people are using hardware wallet or even creating their own air-gapped device to improve not just the security but also the privacy of their holdings which is a missing factor in most of the exchange.

But still, putting much of your holdings on a centralized exchange is a big NO since it defeats the purpose bitcoin in the first place. You don't want your wealth to be controlled by banks isn't it? Then you should take a bit of effort to secure your money from intermediaries.
2339  Economy / Services / Re: Roobet.com |Holiday Art Contest "Hand Drawn" $3150 up for grabs ~ Ends Dec. 20th on: December 31, 2020, 04:49:51 AM
May I ask how to claim the prize for this event?
As long as you have indicated your Roobet Username upon submitting your artwork in this thread then you'll be fine. Most likely you'll just need to wait for at least 1 or 2 days after the result has been published for you to see your balance in your Roobet account.

Till now, I haven't received my reward yet so just wait.
2340  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum Push Notification on: December 30, 2020, 05:13:21 PM
I think a lot of Web wallets and payment processors like blockchain.com have a watching only feature for stuff like this.
So my only option is to use the wallet watcher from blockonomics? I assume that's the safest way to get notified? isn't it?

You might be able it edit the source code though to get it to notify you of a new transaction being created.
Nope Cheesy. Still not confident with my coding skills.

There's no built in notification plugin that sends Email but I reckon it wouldn't be difficult to make one since they have a nice RPC interface to use. You can probably monitor specific addresses for new transactions and get transaction info after that, like a combination of get_tx_status and notify.
I haven't heard of the term RPC? Any recommend reading materials just for familiarization?

Edit: It is something similar to how command prompt works.
