Bitmain are not idiots, they want to get rid of the S1 as they are obsolete/dead already.
They will soon present a new model or something with lower consumption.( I am not talking about the unsuccessful S2)
Don't start with the undervolt / underclock options, please. This is not a permanent solution.

They dropped the price so (low) because people didnt want to buy s1 anyomore. If people would stop buying again for couple of days s1 would drop to level around 0.5btc or even lower. Than they got business again. Just be aware that miners which was delivered to me wasnt freshest one. Overclocked and dusted. Not only me had this problem. |

I will wait moment or so to see is will get coupons. I made order for 5 units recently so will see how bitmain will treat me after sendin overcklocked units. They reading forum and they can see people are pissed of about how they doing business this days. |

25% out of the biggest difficulty yet is something From what i see on BitcoinWisdom it seems that we haven't reached or passed over 60k TH/s so the next difficulty jump after this one might be a very small one. Time will tell. you right if you compare biggest jumps. but history shows that 20% in real life is not that bad as later jumps are always smaller than predicted. |

New price for AntMiner S1: 0.818 btc each one, shipping cost included.
This is 3rd drop in price of s1 and instead of sales, isuess piling up. Im ready to buy at .45btc price. wake me up end of week once u will realise this price is acceptable. bitmain i really like your way of business (miners delivered within 5 days of order), but you become another ass hole company who screwing people over just because of success. Seem like bitmain is like "PSY-gangam style" one song success with no talent what so ever. one unit which was hit and nothing else, s2 complete joke(price, issues with sd card,issues with QC and with delivering on time). bitmain even become preorder company which is really weird after s1 success. |

Difficulty will change next week and looks like it will be huge.
i think no more than 25% which is not that huge. there are still units which are not delivered yet, real diff jump will happen next 3 weeks time. this will be painfull |

Bitmain - we have had a great relationship for the past few months. Sadly, it looks like it's ending.
You are no longer competitive given the S2's fragility and high price. There are better options that are built more solidly and don't cost as much.
But I'll keep watching. Hopefully you come to market with a product as great as the S1's were for their time.
+1 +1000 You are going to loose a lot of customers if you keep this up. If you look at s1 and s2 thread its stagnation for them. s1 thread is dead. People realise that asics are way overpriced. |

Daily s1 going down because...no one is interested any more like it was before. Even this price is still to high. Simple math: 1Th/s(6x s1=1150Gh/s overclocked) cost at this time 4.986btc customs in uk- 6x 55gbp=330 (1.14Btc) PSU 750w x6= 96gbp (0.33Btc) --------------------------------------------- So 1Th/s cost 6.456Btc One s2 cost at this moment 6.57Btc + customs A1 clone cost 2300usd which is 4.55 with psu or 4.38Btc without delivered. Ofcourse bitmain quality cannot be beaten but 1Th is 1Th dosn't matter who delivers that. 1Th/s can generate daily no more than 0.0721Btc so 1BTC will be generated at this diff every 2 weeks. So ROI can be reached after 3-4 months, depends on diff jump. Damn ASics are so overpriced.... |

it really irritates me whenever some1 mentions "oh no but what about the warranty" blah blah..
almost every1 overclocks the S1's, including Bitmain I imagine, and with the reset button, everything goes back to normal and overclocking is not traceable.
So, really, what it boils down to is Bitmain giving you the benefit of the doubt, which I think they will and do..
As such, overclocking should never be a concern and the 90 day warranty means NOTHING in this business. Heck, I ordered 21 miners from Bitmain and not once did I receive an invoice or a warranty with the miners, and I'm fine with that because Bitmain have more than earned my and everyone else's trust.
You dont get it.if someone in his own tos voids warranty because overclocking , and than he doing this himself regardless how units are good or bad dosn't look promising. i'm not complaint, s1 are most reliable units ever. Warranty maybe is not needed but this is not reason to go against own tos. Seems like any reason is good to not accept warranty and claim from buyer, even if this means miner have on clock already hours of work....for bitmain |

Not sure, I k now I have received some that have definitely collected dust, but I've also received the majority that were new and fresh. I think they do send out refurbished units. While I don't personally condone sending out refurbished units with new units, the bottom line is they are tested, they work and the have the same warranty. Without a doubt bitmain is mining on their machines, they'd be crazy not to. It almost seems though, that in order to process shipments as quickly as possible and to mitigate delays that might happen, they ship from their mining farm immediately so that a delay would only cost them mining time, and not the customer.
im with you, but units overcklocked are out of warranty. if for 5 units 2 are overclocked on delivery what those this means. my all units from 4.04.14 have date on blades 12.13 last year. im not saying that s1 are shit. im saying bitmain from time to time flushing people with old used units which was mining for him. |

These really need a step change now bitmain - drop to 0.45 and they'll nearly be worth buying again. Unless Bitmain reveals his true shipping costs its hard to know exactly how low he could go and still make a decent return. No one should expect Bitmain to give these away! All s1 are tested but for how long only bitmain know. why you think they still keeping price like that? they mining to the max and once enough btc is done they flush miners on us. |

sorry but after my order which was delivered 4.4.14 and all miners are batch from 2013,2 was overcloked and compressed aircan helped me clear dust as 2 s1 was heating up upto 60c i have no more interest in buying for silly price like .855
soon s1 will hit ebay for silly prices, already saw one for 265gbp delivered-auction style
