2322  Economy / Gambling / Re: [Texasholdemallin.com] ★ Texas Hold'em for the lucky ones ★ always All-In ★ on: November 02, 2015, 07:25:13 AM
I thought I will give the participants 1 or 2 tips regarding the contest. I am sure some already thought about it and maybe some not.

I don't know the odds or payouts the game offers. This makes it impossible to think about.

Is the info available anywhere?
2323  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin XT - Officially #REKT (also goes for BIP101 fraud) on: November 02, 2015, 06:11:59 AM
The highlighted quote was not made by me. Brg444 has unethically and falsely used my name in a quote which I am not responsible for, it was most likely written by him. To do this is wrong, it is fraud, libel and slander. I have requested that he ceases to falsely quote me yet he continues to do so.

The quote wasn't made by you, but it very accurately predicted things you were to say later.

The fact that you are lucky enough to be able to afford to run a full node has no bearing on the discussion. Lots of people are unable to run a full node already, and certainly wouldn't be able to keep up with XT's plan of doubling the blocksize limit every 2 years until it is 8192 times bigger than the current limit.
2324  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: November 02, 2015, 04:46:08 AM
I tend to have difficulties depositing with Level 2 Verification there myself from a linked bank account and tend to still use lightbox and canadianbitcoins even at a premium to cavirtex.
The ownership changed a while ago and the owners of the havelock exchange changed hands and left those shareholders in the dust but the exchange works fine for Canadian users who already have bitcoins and want to trade there.
(Problem is getting the fiat equivalent in instead of doing a BTC LTC conversion there to have a fiat balance.)

The price difference is still growing.

Earlier it was:

>>> 424.49 - 378.00
46.49 (12.30%)

and now it's:

>>> 440.88 - 379.01
61.87 (16.32%)

Does the bitoind rpc option work with an encrypted wallet?

Yes. You don't even need to unlock it. I suspect it would also work with '-disablewallet', since JoinMarket keeps its coins in its own HD wallet.
2326  Economy / Services / Re: ★ Dustdice.com ★ - LOGO CONTEST - Win up-to 0.1 Bitcoin on: November 02, 2015, 04:31:40 AM
What 2nd place  Shocked I can't believe this. This is totally unfair. 1st place logo seems totally poor than mine. Very simple and I don't think you will use that in your site. You will probably use mine
I also think snailmen is your second account or something like that to avoid giving away big amount

I couldn't believe your mis-shapen dice logo got into the top three at all. You should be happy with 2nd. It's better than you deserve.

The 1st place winner is a much better cleaner design than yours. It actually looks like a logo.

Commission is same to site operator even so player win or lose bet and it is payed of bankroll by what I know.

Did the commission structure change again recently?

Last I heard, MP took 5% of the house edge from each bet, but according to the FAQ MP takes 10% of net profits. I don't remember reading about another change. Maybe the FAQ is wrong?

thank you for the clear explanation. but to be frank the most I liked is the Memo  Grin

OK, I'm in then.

I'll send the 5000 now.

Do I have to wait until tomorrow to deposit the other 5000?
2329  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: [FREE]Texas Hold'em All-In ★ Free Contest with 1st Prize 0.07 and 2nd Prize 0.03 on: November 01, 2015, 05:49:41 PM
Hello im still a bit confused, where should i send those 5k bits to JackpotRacer or Texas Hold'em All-In or both(5k each)?

Here's my understanding of the process. I hope JackpotRacer will correct me if I'm wrong:

1. Send 5k to JackpotRacer now
2. Deposit 5k to the app when the game starts

Here's how to do the first step:

Go to https://www.moneypot.com/me/send/to-user

Fill out the form like this:

To do the 2nd step:

Go to https://www.moneypot.com/apps/695-texas-holdem-all-in

Enable the app.

Deposit 5000 bits.
2330  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: November 01, 2015, 05:35:35 PM
CaVirtex is the only CDN exchange that can link to a CDN bank account. I think.

So that makes it easier for people to get CAD into CaVirtex? If so, wouldn't that mean their price would tend to be higher than the one that it's harder to get CAD into?

CaVirtex' coins are 10% cheaper than anywhere else. So why isn't someone buying them?
2331  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Official CaVirtex.com Thread on: November 01, 2015, 05:23:14 PM
I'm curious to hear an explanation for why there is such a huge price difference (over 10%) between the two Canadian exchanges:

Is there a problem with one or both of the exchanges? Otherwise why hasn't the price difference been closed by people looking to make a profit by selling on Quadriga and buying back on CaVirtex?

(BTC-e also has a relatively low price, but the difference isn't as marked as in the Canadian markets).

These two rules seem conflicting:

he cannot lose even 1 bit

P.S. We reserve the right to close or change this promotion at any time

Do you reserve the right to change the bit about you giving us our deposit and stake back?

What's the point of having any rules at all when you end it with "any of this can change at any time"? It means we have no idea what we're really agreeing to.

Other than that I would be interested.
2333  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 31, 2015, 04:41:36 PM
I think thats why decreasing our bitcoin in money pot its because moneypot infected in bitcoin price. but now i see that the bitcoin price is going down... we wait for 3 days if our investing bitcoin in money still decreasing...

I doubt there is any correlation between investment profit and Bitcoin price. But I'm not very clear on what it is you're trying to say.

I invested 1 BTC 2 days ago, and another 0.37 yesterday, and now I have:

    1,376,658.71 bits

That's a profit of 0.486% in 2 days.

>>> (1376658.71 - 1.37e6) * 100 / 1.37e6
0.486
2334  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][CLAM] CLAMs, Proof-Of-Chain, Proof-Of-Working-Stake, a.k.a. "Clamcoin" on: October 31, 2015, 09:01:59 AM
I find it hard sometimes to understand what you're saying.

Need a 300 Bitcoin wall @ .001....

Who needs a 300 BTC wall, and why? It sounds like you're encouraging us to buy the digger's CLAMs for more than it will be necessary to spend. Who does that benefit?

Someone needs to nut up and get this shit done.  (I got my bid in my service)

"Nut up" as in "grow a pair"? It's not fear that's stopping me from paying 0.001 for all the digger's remaining CLAMs. I think he's going to end up selling them cheaper than that. I don't see any reason to pay more than is necessary for them.

Once the price falls below 0.001 per CLAM, your offer of 0.005 BTC per private key means that you will be losing money every time someone uses your service. How many digs are you prepared to handle if you're losing 0.002 BTC for each one? Let's say the digger has 50k private keys left. Would you buy them off him for 0.005 BTC each, losing 100 BTC in the process? I think that's what you have claimed in the past, that you will continue paying 0.005 BTC per private key even if it means taking a loss.

I'm standing tall on it and I expect other people around the project to hold firm or else all your digs are belong to Clamchecker!   Tongue

"Holding firm" doesn't really mean anything. There's no reason to try to keep the price artificially high in the face of constant sell pressure. It is best to allow the price to fall so as little value as possible leaves the community. Buying private keys for over 100% of their value is even more silly than offering to buy them for less than 20% of their value.
2335  Economy / Gambling / Re: MoneyPot.com :: The bitcoin gambling wallet on: October 31, 2015, 01:38:42 AM
seems like moneypot has taken a big hit on these few days. hope it can gain back up over the weekend.

Investor profit was +138 btc last time I checked it (maybe 4 or 5 days ago), and it is now +134 btc. I would not call that change a big hit lol. Cheesy

Beware. I invested for the first time yesterday.

It's all down hill from here... Wink

Sorry for the inconvenience.

What is your email?

Nice try.

How about you only email people who have expressed an interest in your service? I never have, so please stop sending unsolicited email to me.

I fired up my old client on a different box and it caught-up to the block chain and processed these fine.  I shut that down and started this guy back up and now it's running  fine.  Any clue what was happening there?

Code:
2015-10-30 18:54:44 ERROR: FetchInputs() : 2735bdf592b697b34a4ce9533ff0af647342b660da6779dae75bd4d4c43dcb15 mempool Tx prev not found 467a9d7a17de112f1766d53b32ee57f3869c6c2d04d1468870d6f5a2b8345d1d

No idea. It's saying that the new 2735... tx is invalid because it spends a coin from tx 467a which it doesn't know about, but that 467a transaction is in block 699197 (2015-10-24 05:55:12), so I've no idea why it couldn't find it, or why restarting would fix it.
