As for all the people who are requesting stripping the colors, size, etc, I don't think this is a good idea, as it ruins the concept of advertising.
And doesn't advertising ruin the concept of signature? Oh I see, you have an ad. Good point, advertising does ruin the concept of the signature, but like I said above, I personally think that signature campaigns are a good way to get some extra BTC. You can help out, or learn more about the Bitcoin community while getting paid for it. (Of course, there are the spammers, but the subject here is seeing the same ad over and over.) As for the people who don't like seeing the same ad over and over, there is this: Another option among the others can be: "show signature just one time for page"

Hey guys, your are far better at judging whether something is ponzi/scam or a regular cloud mining severice. I just read this thread in bitcoin discussion https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=989670.msg10768529#msg10768529 And I want to ask you what do you think of it? It is legit announcement or another dubious cloud mining service is just popping out? Let's see what they say... We do not use mining hardware in our business because its not needed ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) A "mining" solution where there is no actual "mining" going on. Not so much a ponzi. More like a HYIP. Also, Gleb Gamow has posted a convincing scam accusation against them: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=990219.0

I support this. The issue here we are talking about is the not the spam, but seeing the same ad over and over again, so this would be a good fix. This way, signature campaigns will still get effective advertising, without users seeing the same ad over and over. As for all the people who are requesting stripping the colors, size, etc, I don't think this is a good idea, as it ruins the concept of advertising. Then, it would just be lines of text, which would be quite boring. Some of the signatures here are designed quite nicely! I personally like the concept of signature campaigns, I think that it's a good way for users to earn some BTC.

I have a odd username and I hope that when we do switch to the new forum that my username will be unaffected but my question is if the username system does change and my username is then made illegal how would we go about fixing that?
I still don't understand the question of the OP, can you reformulate better the question? Thanks for the attention.
I don't think your username will be made "illegal," (I assume what you mean by illegal is no special characters in the username.) but even if it does, the forum probably would either make an exception for you, as you signed up before the new forum came out, or just remove the special character from your name. (In your case, the "~".) I'm not part of making the new forum though, so I can't be completely sure.
riformulareIf the problem is the special characters, I think it will not change anything. The slickage team will move all the entire database from here to the new forum software (and I hope no forum users will lost during the migration). i dont know how far the forum is to being finsihed but i wonder how long people are going to have notice of it or if one day we are going to log in and find out that everything has been migrated anyway no one should be lost in the copy over that should be the most simple thing to achieve I read somewhere that it has been proposed that a few weeks before the forum migrates, a notification will say something along the lines of "Make sure the email in your profile is a real email!" Then, when the new forum migrates, a link will be sent to your email, and you go to that link to access your account at the new forum.

... or just remove the special character from your name. (In your case, the "~".)
This could be a problem. There could be 2 registered users in this forum - BitcoinCurve and BitcoinCurve~. Just removing the ~ won't work in this case. Then maybe they could add a number at the end of the username? However, I personally don't think special characters will be disabled in the new forum, as there are a lot of users who have special characters in their username, some usernames are even made up entirely of special characters.

Hmmm... the free version needs a download, maybe it contains a virus? OP, scan your software with https://www.virustotal.com, so you can prove that this service is legit. I might check it out if you can prove that there are no viruses in the download.

First of all, don't invest in ponzi's. The sites that you have mentioned in the OP were all ponzis. I would recommend investing in a gambling site, as the house (usually) always wins in the end.
Which gambling sites do you recommend to invest? Thank you! Some sites are: diggit.io btcdemon.com just-dice.com (Clam investing) pocketrocketscasino.eu There are more, these are just some sites. Invest at your own risk, good luck!

Maybe, they could also be allowed to send PM's while they are banned? (So instead of making a new thread, they can just ask a mod instead, also, if they are running a business and are in the middle of processing the order, they can finish it.) Of course, if they were banned for spamming people through PM they wouldn't be allowed to send PM's while they are still banned.
They would spam inbox then and also do deals via PM instead of making threads. It will definitely be misused. It contradicts the meaning of 'ban' IMHO. Good point. Maybe they would have a large limit on PM's when you are banned? One PM every 10 minutes? Or maybe they would just be allowed to PM mods, to ask about the ban.

Ah ok, thanks. I'm just having one more problem.... I've backed up http://bitcoinshowers.com on the new host. Thing is, the claims don't seem to work. Any ideas why this might be? Also, my balance on microwallet shows as 0.002xxxxx btc, but on the backup, it shows faucet balance as 0.004xxxxx btc. Have I done something wrong? Again, you need to provide more information. First check the logs by the webserver (apache or whatever you're using). It could appear in the cPanel console if you use that. Does the faucet write its own log? Lol, I found the problem, I was using a cache version of bitcoinshowers.com and going ctrl+u, so the stats stay the same always. I have an actual backup, I will now use that instead.

Below is one of the seldom cases where red links are allowed, as stated by hilariousandco. Please note if you spam the ref link several times in the same thread, you risk a ban. Hey. Referral links are actually allowed in certain threads, for instance if a person asks where they can get free bitcoins or what site should they invest in etc then it's ok to post them, =snip=

I've stated above that I am using the microwallet faucet script.
I thought you were saying that you are using Microwallet micropayment service(using API). I think you may loose referral data. Minifrij already told you. Hope everyting goes okay for you. Ok thanks! I agree, hopefully goes well. My faucet has been down for a day already because of my hosting ![Undecided](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/undecided.gif) I've tried to move name servers, but the name servers won't move! Does it take a few days for nameservers to move? Any more help is welcome! Are you updating your nameservers or just the DNS entries? The former can take up to one day, the later about a couple of hours. If you've waited more than one day probably there's something wrong. Where is your domain registered at? I'm updating the nameservers, my domain is at godaddy. I haven't waited more then one day yet, but the domain is still using the old nameservers. I'm not sure if this is normal or if I configured them wrong. Run it through https://www.whatsmydns.net/ and see what it comes up with. In my experience, NS will update within a few minutes on most of the servers there. Some will take slightly longer. But if you updated your NS a while ago, they should be showing up on at least some servers there. Thanks, I just checked and now the nameservers have successfully switched. Will now start working to restore my site! EDIT: The two nameservers keep switching between each other, but I read somewhere that it takes around 2 days for the old nameserver to stop connecting. So I hope this is normal.

The two remaining signatures needed are for member and hero member, am I correct? If so, reserved, will enter if I have time.
