Bearstamp's not looking so bearish today. It's at a $2100 ATH.

We are back to where we started from earlier today. My Bitcoins are only worth what they were at 06:38.  Roll Eyes

2342  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Problem with bitcoin transaction, stupidly enough forgot to include a fee on: May 22, 2017, 08:34:11 PM
Bitcoin qt will keep rebroadcasting the transaction if it's connected to the internet. The first thing you need to do is switch off your internet connection if you want the network to forget your transaction. After that follow the instructions in this quote to force your wallet to forget the transaction.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1914748.msg18995160#msg18995160

Quote
If you can turn off or block your internet connection, then you can open up your wallet and use the "abandon transaction" to get Bitcoin Core to forget about it (in which case the bitcoins will instantly re-appear in your wallet.

If abandon transaction doesn't work, then you can start up your wallet from a command line with the -zapwallettxes command line option to get your wallet to forget about the transaction.

Once the wallet has forgotten about the original transaction, then you can re-enable your internet connection and will have access to create and broadcast a new transaction using those bitcoins if you want to.

After that you can switch your internet connection back on

edit

Like erikalui I can't find any transactions for the address 17s76okR5MbYCiEn42f4a6SrgW29HMeGtK in any of the well known block explorers.

If your transaction propagated at all not many nodes have seen it. After you remove the transaction from your wallet you should have no problem sending another with the correct fees.

i`m trying to use CPFP  but get error max fee exeeded .......

Try using the guide in this reddit post, and follow all the instructions in it for setting the fees.

You only paid a fee rate of 80.361 sat/B

https://blockchain.info/tx/a4a7cea37ddce86d82361d31ea4232109ed384e7dab6565afe4b188152ad781e

For fast confirmations you need to pay a rate of 360 satoshis/byte today according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

To prevent it happening again first make sure you are using the latest version of electrum. Afterwards click tools in your electrum wallet's menu bar, then click preferences, then click the fees tab. Check the box marked "use dynamic fees".

To speed up your current transaction's confirmation time you can try using this free service at the start of each hour.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Alternatively you can email support@viabtc.com and pay 0.01BTC to get your transaction confirmed.

A cheaper option is contacting these two miners clicking these links and offering to pay to get confirmation.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=358020

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=pm;sa=send;u=16114

They charged 0.0001 BTC per transaction last year, but probably want more now.

I faced a similar issue a few days back transaction not getting confirmed due to low fee but user "QuickSeller" got my transaction confirmed in minutes when I sent him 0.0001 BTC. He has access to some pool . PM him.

If you choose to do nothing your transaction will either eventually confirm, or the network will forget about it and your Bitcoins will return yo your wallet.
2345  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Lost transactions after being stuck on: May 22, 2017, 07:01:46 PM
Now I can see the transaction after 10 hours in blockchain. It is still unconfirmed but I believe it'll be confirmed eventually.
Trxid is 388dcd050448f4462f1b453699106c3f880ea59273462a4cfdbd6554a76ef2e6
I guess there is nothing to do other than waiting. Is there?

Thank you for your interest

This is your transaction.

Unfortunately it spends unconfirmed coins sent to it from earlier unconfirmed transactions. There's three chains of unconfirmed transactions that all sent unconfirmed coins to the address used in your transaction.

This is the first transaction chain that sent unconfirmed coins from one treansaction to the next in a series of five transactions.

You can do nothing and hope they confirm, pay a miner to confirm them, or try using the free viabtc accelerator (although it would probably take over a day to submit that many transactions to it).

This is the free accelerator page.

These are two miners you can pay to get confirmation.

Is there any chance of chart buddy coming back to this thread?
2347  Other / MultiBit / Re: Multibit HD - whole wallet now unconfirmed - will pay for help on: May 22, 2017, 05:56:17 PM
Do you have your multibit HD wallet seed words? If you do you can install bread wallet on your phone and create a new wallet in it using your multibit HD wallet seed words. Afterwards your multibit Bitcoin balance will show in bread wallet, and you can send your coins wherever you like. That's the simplest solution, but you either need an iPhone or a recent android phone. Bread wallet won't install on older androids.

If you choose to install bread wallet make sure you install the real one. There are fakes that sometimes appear in the app stores that will steal your Bitcoins.

After you install it instead of choosing “New Wallet”, select “Restore from Backup” and enter your multibit HD wallet seed words.

A user called BioChanger tried it and said you just use your same twelve multibit wallet words in bread wallet. He says bread wallet does not support more than 12 words

For others with the same problem how does bread wallet work?

Bread wallet works it just requires the 12 words seen (It does not support more than 12 words)

Another user called TraderCal11 also says bread wallet successfully imported his multibit wallet words.

Thank you all! Solved this by importing keys into bread wallet. I'm fine with having it on my phone.

There's a more difficult technical solution. I walked two different users through extracting their private keys from their multibit HD wallets and importing them into electrum.

There are instructions in this thread that helped the first user.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1733063.msg17347818#msg17347818

There are instructions in this thread that helped the second user.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1785575.0

If you want to pm me I could walk you through it by pm.

edit

HCP found an android wallet that runs on older android phones and imports multibit HD wallet words. If your android phone can't run bread wallet then try "Simple Bitcoin Wallet".

For future reference, if you have an iOS or newer Android device, Breadwallet works with MultiBit HD seeds (tested with 12 and 18 word seeds)... If you have an older Android device "Simple Bitcoin Wallet" also supports MultiBit HD seeds (tested with 12 and 18 word seeds).

edit2

However, the latest reviews for "Simple Bitcoin Wallet" aren't very good. I haven't tested it myself, and you will have to make up your own mind if you want to risk it bearing in mind those reviews.

2348  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Blockchain Transaction Unconfrimed For Over 4 Days on: May 22, 2017, 02:11:33 PM
Its not because of the fees or something,my transaction is just not in their mempool, *achow101* rebroadcasted it via his node then viaBTC was able to find my transaction and i was getting the beyong limit error because there was no slot, then as soon as the hour was about to begin i tried viaBTC and it was again at *Transaction Does Not Exist*,If anyone can please help me it will be much much appreciated.
I tried rebroadcasting it again but ViaBTC says that the transaction cannot be found. I don't know why they say that, but there's really nothing that can be done about it.

It's because it contains dust. If blocktrail says it contains dust viabtc generally refuses to see it.

https://www.blocktrail.com/BTC/tx/bf78ad8bf2057b10f744a5b35b785baaf34870187b21dcf8290d452ec1eeee7a

There is a paid viabtc accelerator service that would probably accept the transaction. Viabtc has this explanation at the bottom of its accelerator page.

ViaBTC’s Transaction Accelerator is a FREE service for the community. We also provide manual accelerator service for special cases (dire urgency, extremely low transaction fee etc.) and require a donation of 0.01BTC for each transaction. Please contact support@viabtc.com for details.
2349  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: tx not confirmed for 3 days..any hope? on: May 22, 2017, 01:03:11 PM
This confirmation time is literally getting a lot irritating day by day:

https://blockchain.info/tx/ac5ef5e668a2e3cccbea12fcf42430b1b642b5a59179f17beecb729fce4ca4b4

You needed to use a higher fee for fast confirmation. I submitted it to the viabtc transaction accelerator for you.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

The viabtc pool will confirm it in ts next block if no other pool includes it in a block before then. Here's the times of its last blocks.

"Acceleration succeeded" at viabtc.

What happens next?

Thanks again!

You sit down and wait happens next. Gz, your trnasaction will get confirmed in a few minutes. You can stop worrying about it now. Go get a beer.  Cool

It's unlikely to be as fast as a few minutes. The linked page shows viabtc only mines a few blocks a day. Sometimes there's an hour or two between its blocks, but sometimes it's over twelve hours between them.

BTC.com only accepts alipay.

Thanks for all your replies, still trying to figure something out!

I managed to successfully submit both your transaction and its unconfirmed parent to the viabtc accelerator. The viabtc pool will now confirm your transaction in the next block it mines. There's a list of the times it mined its most recent blocks here.

Viabtc's slots are full as always because of it is being swarmed by the freeloaders. If you need your transaction to be confirmed right away and you don't mind to pay a few bucks more you can try this paid service:

https://pushtx.btc.com/

I checked the price for you and the fee is around 8.5$.

If you don't do anything, your coins will get back to the source address and if you own that address, you can send them again with a proper fee.

Btc.com only accepts Alipay payments. If you don't live in China it's almost impossible to pay with Alipay. It says it will soon add payment methods for westerners, but it doesn't have any today.

Viabtc also provides a paid service, but it charges 0.01BTC for each transaction which is over $20.

Your transaction spends unconfirmed coins that were sent to it in an earlier unconfirmed parent transaction. The transaction below must confirm before yours can confirm.

https://blockchain.info/tx/663b9a6748d98895902f8cdff37f5b100d5aec52465e01177a77f97ba690e144

Ty submitting the unconfirmed parent to this website first, then submit your transaction to it after it's successfully accepted the parent.

dropped a message to them. how much should i be looking at to get my tx confirmed faster ?  $20 , $30, $50 or more ?

Last year quickSeller charged ahmedjadoon 0.0001 BTC for one transaction, but you have about 17 extra parent transactions for each of your transactions. If he charged the same rate you would pay 0.0018 to confirm one of your transactions and all its parents. However, the fees required to deal with today's backlog are higher than last year's,so he'd probably ask for more.

They can get F2Pool to confirm your transaction, so when it mines another block your transaction will probably get confirmed. You can see the times it mined its latest blocks here.

https://blockchain.info/blocks/F2Pool

The number of unconfirmed transactions in the network has dropped from over 200000 to about 150000. If it continues dropping your transactions might confirm by themselves, but if it goes back up again you are either in for a long wait, or the network will forget abut your transactions.

You can see the number of unconfirmed transactions here.

I tried pushing your transaction through a few different websites including coinb.in, which rejected it with the error code "258: txn-mempool-conflict". That means your transaction is part of a double spend.

Blockcypher's explorer now shows it's part of a double spend, but didn't a few minutes ago.

Blockchain.info recognises your transaction, but doesn't yet recognise the double spend transaction,
