You can count me in. I didn't lost enough money during league pools, so I can continue. Or it's already time to recover something. I wish . Not that I'm very excited about Nations League, but this summer we simply don't have any big football, so, this tournament is at least some action.

Ukraine has no chance against Russia and never had. Even with general mobilization and unprecedented support from the West, Ukraine is losing to Russia's peacetime armies. If you think otherwise, stop taking hard drugs during daylight hours.
And that peacetime army in 3 months of war have more losses than in 9 years of Afghan war. Are you still chewing that Butch gum? It seems to have been rotten since it turned out that some of the civilians died from cluster munitions from the shelling of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, while others were executed by Bosman's Nazis during the cleansing of "collaborators".
If proofs given so far isn't enough for, here is some more: https://www.nytimes.com/2022/05/19/world/europe/russia-bucha-ukraine-executions.htmlIf you still think that all these thing were done not by Russians, stop taking hard drugs during daylight hours..

So, after all, that historical Denmark win against Canada was meaningless. Now in decisive game they were destroyed by Slovakia 7:1 and Slovakia jumps into playoffs. Denmark seems that weren't able to recover after yesterday's game. Sweden won just 1:0 against Latvia and after Finland beat Czech Republic, we will see Sweden - Canada in 1/4 final already. So, we have 1/ finals on Thursday, I updated OP with it. Predictions? Not surprised about Great Britain and Italy being demoted to 2nd division. Slovenia that replaced them might be stronger, but have doubts about Hungary. They never been good at ice hockey. As to Kazakhstan, I would prefer to keep them. Compared to level of their opponent on this tournament, they are showing great results.
The weak performance of Canada I would explain with their roster being not the strongest. They come with strongest roster for Olympic Games and its seems that IIHF is less valuable for them. If team Canada had roster of Sidney Crosby level, then they would own each and every team. Crosby's P. Penguins lost in play-off and he could join team Canada, but...
I watched IA Championship and Slovenia were way above all teams, while Hungary didn't impressed me at all. Haven't you confused something. Canada didn't come to Olympics with strongest squad, it was with mainly players from Europe, while in IIHF almost all their players from NHL. But yeah, because of Stanley Cup playoffs we will never have all best players in World Championships.

Things are getting interesting. Cana surprisingly lost to Denmark for the first time in history and dropped to 4th place. Now they are risking to get Finland or Sweden already 1/4 final. Also, Great Britain and Italy got relegated to 2nd division, they will be replaced by Slovenia and Hungary. Today there is few good games which will end group stage. Now Germany is playing against leaders Switzerland. Later Finland will face Czech Republic.

Congrats to winners, see yo all next season! BTW, saw interesting fact about - Real Madrid finished season without red card for the first time since 1983/84 season, incredible! No Ramos, no party (insert meme of Florentino Perez in VAR room); https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EbEKzJuXQAAU1q8?format=jpg&name=900x900Trofo would hopefully not ban me from next season pool I will not ban you, but now that I am aware of this monster streak we will give you some sort of handicap Maybe you have to pay triple admission fee or you start the season with -20 points, or maybe both. I am sure I will think of some other ways to make it fair for us mortals before next starts. +++

We already know the most important results of this Ekstraklasa season, but it does not mean that the clubs are playing for nothing in the last round. Below is a list of prizes for taking individual places in the table at the end of the season. https://talkimg.com/images/2023/09/10/meBbj.pngAs you can see, some clubs really have something to fight for. For example, the issue of the runner-up remains open, and the financial difference between the second and third place is 4.5 million zlotys. Damn, that's really good monet. 31,5 millin PLN that winner get is €6.8 million. Even last team get close to €1.5 million. Offcourse, it's not EPL level money, but it's really decent amounts for league like Ekstraklasa. I think that other similar level leagues aren't even close to Ekstraklasa by prize money. I think I already said in past, but it's always been mystery for me how Polish clubs having decent money can't even get in group stages of UEFA Cups. Because IMO it's not weaker league than Serbian or Czech fro example.

Interesting documentary from inside Russia. Check out how "strong is the rouble" and how "everything is ok". https://youtu.be/ZsjDSLgOMMcYep... that is the "best performing currency" and the new "petrorouble" that can either not buy what you want because the shop is closed or it will buy the stuff for nearly double of what other people pay outside the glorious Putin's Tzardom. Keep your roubles under the pillow... what could go wrong? And I don't think Russian people feel sanctions much. It would be lie to say that it didn', affected them, but that's not enough. As more time will pass, all these sanctions will become more painful eventually. For example, because of sanctions they won't be able to make cars which meets current requirements and they will have to return to 30 years old technologies. Similar stuff in other areas. Ruble is looking strong on paper, but in reality, price of ruble is kept artificially. But Russian people won't blame their Tzar for it. It's all evil west. It's actually scary at what scale they are washing people's brain on TV. It's enough to see schedule of two main Russian TV channels: Rossyja 1: Propaganda from 5 AM to 9:55 AM and then it goes from 11 AM to 0.55 AM. Whole day in general: https://tv.mail.ru/moskva/channel/1271/Channel One : from 5 AM, then there is few 1-2 hours breaks fro entertainment and TV series and then whole night from 11:45 PM until 5 AM when similar schedule of new day begins: https://tv.mail.ru/moskva/channel/850/Imagine that Russian people is getting such stuff like in your video every day, 7 times a week. And I though that North Korea propaganda machine is bad, but in reality, it's only flowers compared with stuff in Russia.

Congrats to winners of pool. I just checked that MoSala finished 22th in global leaderboard - impressive stuff. My performance in pool is something what I expected, but I think I collected more points there than in my prefered La Liga pool . As you guys discussed few days ago, Serie A isn't EPL were mid table teams is ready to ruin chances for leaders to win title in last round. So, after all, finaly Scidetto goes to Rossoneri after all these long years.

What do you think about Switzerland beating Canada 6:3 ? Lets say, Switzerland were first to score (even though that goal wasnt counted). First period was very competitive. Canada scored 2 times, when Switzerland was in powerplay. Either Switzerland was confused that they play to well, or have lack of experience. I believe they will train that in next two championships and soon they will start to finish every championship with medals. I would not be surprised if they get a medal in 2022.
I wasn't able to watch game in full, so I can't comment it in detail. This result is probably biggest surprise in this tournament so far. With current performance Switzerland have very good chance to get medal. Today we have USA - Czech Republic game, direct fight for 3rd place in group. I see very attractive odds for Czech win, I won't skip it.

Interesting race in Barcelona, rare thing, but it happened today. Leclerc had everything in his hands to win race, but nobody isn't protected from engine problems. Well, now he will have chance to finally win in Monaco. It's impressive that Verstappen managed to win after mistake and all issues with DRS. I don't undersand all this noise about team orders. Max was much faster with fresh tyres and without letting him to pass, it was question of few laps until he would overtake Checo. I don't recognize Hamilton - asking team to save engine. Good that team didn't listen to him and he was able to achieve solid result And poor Sainz, such difficult first part of season for him. @tokeweed, that meme about camera guy, good one Why he did it? I think we all hate Monaco, once qualifying is done the race is simply a dull procession. I've said it before, if F1 want to try something different (as they are with sprint races), then Monaco would be the ideal place to it. They could forget about having the 'race' entirely, and just have something like a series of cycling-style time trials. Or just anything more innovative. Any suggestion at all would probably be better than the 'race'. What do you all think? How could they change Monaco to make it better?
I think it's impossible to make Monaco interesting, it simply doesn't fits for current cars. Maybe time trials is interesting idea, but I can't race weekend without actual race.

Damn, it was so difficultto watch Barca today, same like in previous round. It was meaningless game for Barca, but it's disrespect for fans to play like today. While for Villarreal it was important game and they deserved to win and earn place in UEFA Conference League in this way. While Sevilla managed to beat Athletic and leave them without UEFA cups in this way. After all, it was bad season for Barca. Xavi bring some bright colors when he come, but that loss against Eintracht was painful. For me this season in pool was bad too, especially considering that I was 3rd last year, now dropped to 9th. Already waiting for next season to go up again .

Damn, what the end of season. Offcourse, not that epic as City comeback against QPR, but still, it was great. Steven Gerrard did everything what he can to help Liverpool, same as ex LFC guy Coutinho. But with 15 minutes City made impressive comeback. Happy for Pep, after failure in CL, losing EPL title would be huge hit for him. Liverpool game was nervous too, but in the end they did what they had to do. Surprisingly, none of North London teams didn't choked and won they games by big margin. It means that Spurs goes to CL, while Arsenal returns to their beloved glorius Europa league . About my own performance, I got into P19 in last round with one yellow cap during season. So, not great, not terrible. And from all 3 pools (EPL, La Liga and Serie A), I collected most points in this pool surprisingly.

Anadolou Efes is back-to-back Euroleague Champions! Ataman is definitely man of his word. It was extremely low scoring game, but it doesn't makes it worse, we had drama until final second. Vasilije Micic is back-to-back Final 4 MVP, but I would like to mention Tibor Pleiss, he was one of keys to win, especialyy in 4th quarter. Usually you don't expect such performance from him I just don't understand what Real were doingon last minute. There was 45 seconds remaining, Real made 2 fouls before bonus then. But why they didn't fouled then to let Efes to shoot free-throws? With defence without fould Real didn't left any time for themselves for last attack. Stark Arena'da oynanan müsabaka, Anadolu Efes Real Madridi 58-57 yenerek şampiyon oldu. Anadolu Efes üst üste 2. Şampiyonluğunu ilan etmiş oldu. Tebrikler Anadolu Efes.
Karşılaşmanın son dakikaları inanılmaz güzeldi çok güzel bir taktikle süreyi erittiler resmen.
Congratulations with a win, but it's not a reason to post in Turkish in English board .

P.s. Who is Czechia? Czech Republic? Yeah, for me it's a bit strange that IIHF calling themnCzechia, but now I Googled it and this term was approved for use by Czech Government back in 2018. This is the first Ice hockey World Championship with stronger squads compared to the teams we saw at the Olympic Games a few months ago that I can remember. The NHL didn't release their players for that tournament, but the athletes from the teams that didn't make the NHL playoffs are now allowed to participate.
In 2018 it was same situation, in Olympics there were no players from NHL, but later they were able in World Championship. In general, teams have stronger squads, but in general, level of competition probably dropped after ban of Russia. Though, not saying that it was wrong decision.

Final looks very difficult to predict. IMO, Efes have slightly better chances, but that's one game and everything can happen. As fan of Barca, I don't really want to see Real winning title . About 3rd place game, I don't really get why it's needed. It's usually waste of time because both times don't really want to play it. But I expect that Barca today will find motivation to play.

Latvia won yesterday, but just after penalties. Now it's almost impossible for ghem to reach playoffs. They now have 5 points after 5 games, Czechia have 7 after 4 games. Now there is interesting game between USA and Sweden were Sweden leading 2:1 in 2nd period. Later today Switzerland will play against Canada, what is likely to be game for 1st place in group.

According to yet unconfirmed reports, Svyatoslav Palamar (callsign Kalina) also surrendered.
Nope, he didn't surrender, he is still in Azovstal and made short video: https://t.me/uniannet/55727

In the first game of the Final Four, Anadolu Efes and Olympiacos played against each other. Even though the game was played in a neutral location in Belgrad, Olympiacos were like they played in their home court. I think that Olympiacos supporters deserve to be celebrated. Larkin and Bryant helped Anadolu Efes stay in the game until the last quarter. Even though he played badly until then, Micic who was the MVP of last season managed to carry the team to the final by a buzzer-beater.
Micic, what a clutch player. It wasn't easy game for him, but in decisive moment he took responsibility, after in 2nd half Larkin was completely stopped. Amazing semifinal, but honestly, I expected something similar. And that Ataman's smile after game, simply priceless . In other semifinal Barca lead by 11 at halftime. Mirotic is pplaying like MVP is supposed to play, Lapravittola is solid too. But I don't think that it's over, Real missed some open 3-pointers, they can't to continue missing for whole game.
