blockchain fixed the fees issue now it doubled the fees and new txs get confirmed very quickly

All the OPs unconfirmed transactions and the chains of unconfirmed parents pay a fee of 120.23 sat/B. Blockchain.info took so long to fix the low fee problem that I wouldn't trust it for critical transactions anymore. Will it take the same length of time for them to increase the fees if the network's number of unconfirmed transactions doubles again?

I have the same problem but it's almost a week!  Huh isn't that to much?

I am using as well Multibit HD 0.5.1 and the transaction id is the following:

  dde0cd3667d0d8a045793b52636777edf3e0c551a5dd48260afdf2315527c430

I successfully submitted it to the viabtc accelerator. It will now confirm when viabtc mines its next block if no other pool confirms it first. You can find a list of the times viabtc mined its most recent blocks here. It gives an idea of how long you might have to wait.

2365  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Can any pool operator please confirm the following 8 transactions? on: May 20, 2017, 10:07:18 PM

Is their some other way apart from this

Yes, you can pay to use viabtc's paid accelerator service, or contact either macbook-air or quickseller and pay them a small fee to get it confirmed by f2pool. All the necessary contact details are in this quote.

You can find a link at the bottom of the feee viabtc accelerator page that explains this about its paid service.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

Do you have paid accelerator service?

ViaBTC’s Transaction Accelerator is a FREE service for the community. We also provide manual accelerator service for special cases (dire urgency, extremely low transaction fee etc.) and require a donation of 0.01BTC for each transaction. Please contact support@viabtc.com for details.

To contact quickseller or macbook-air click their names in the quote below, and it will open a page where you can pm them.

I faced a similar issue a few days back transaction not getting confirmed due to low fee but user "QuickSeller" got my transaction confirmed in minutes when I sent him 0.0001 BTC. He has access to some pool . PM him.

They can get F2Pool to confirm your transaction, so when it mines another block your transaction will probably get confirmed. You can see the times it mined its latest blocks here.

God damn Stamp, stop being a mommy's boy and break 2000.

Bitstamp's like a watched pot. It never boils.

I was waiting for so long for it to hit 2000 that I eventually got bored and stopped watching. Ironically that was when it hit 2000. I'm getting so bored waiting for it to break 2000 that I might stop watching again soon. Expect a break above 2000 immediately afterwards.
2367  Other / MultiBit / Re: [Classic] Resetting Blockchain Doesn't Bring Back BTC from Rejected Transaction on: May 20, 2017, 08:58:50 PM
Did you get your Bitcoins back from your multibit wallet?

What version of multibit classic were you using? If you didn't get your coins back and you were using a version more recent than 0.4.0, then try these instructions to get your coins.

Start multibit, select the wallet containing your coins, then click "tools", then select "export private keys" as shown in the screenshot.

A new tab should open like the one below. Select "do not password protect export file" at the bottom of the window, then click the "export private keys button".

Click the windows start button, then copy and paste the line of text below into the search box that appears, then press the enter key to open the hidden folder containing your multibit wallet files.

%appdata%\Multibit

This is what your search box should look like after you have copied and pasted the line above into it.

Inside the folder that opens there should be a file with an extension ending in ".key". Open it in notepad and copy your wallet's private key. In the example file below the private key is the bit in red.

Quote
# KEEP YOUR PRIVATE KEYS SAFE !
# Anyone who can read this file can spend your bitcoin.
#
# Format:
#   <Base58 encoded private key>[<whitespace>[<key createdAt>]]
#
#   The Base58 encoded private keys are the same format as
#   produced by the Satoshi client/ sipa dumpprivkey utility.
#
#   Key createdAt is in UTC format as specified by ISO 8601
#   e.g: 2011-12-31T16:42:00Z . The century, 'T' and 'Z' are mandatory
#
KwUVsx4nd4UTHUtNTPnLEEqapCFvNiBrVASBZPa1ZvStQbUD87VK 2017-03-26T01:36:45Z
# End of private keys

After you get your private key use these instructions to import it into electrum.

http://docs.electrum.org/en/latest/faq.html#can-i-import-private-keys-from-other-bitcoin-clients

Multibit classic's maximum allowable fees aren't high enough for dealing with today's massive backlog of unconfirmed transactions. It's best to import the private key into electrum, enable dynamic fees in it, and spend your coins from there. That way you will get fast confirmations.
2368  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: are these transactions spending from unconfirmed transactions? on: May 20, 2017, 08:05:03 PM
Your transaction had unconfirmed inputs.

https://blockchain.info/tx/73d6d8e4a30ede829db2daa88041afc35a53d769a717407b5da3eac2f2b253ad

That means these two transactions below needed to confirm before your transaction can confirm. One of them is now confirmed, and I successfully submitted the other to viabtc.

https://blockchain.info/tx/8d7602feed38615af4b15e4eeb906249f1a3739b8fbe86665d9f6854499ec4f6

https://blockchain.info/tx/ba3b3aeb408f36f71bfcf1f79c505af84e2cd2547bb5caa2858185e33dcb51f9

That means only your original transaction below now needs submitting to viabtc. After that you will get your Bitcoins.

Luckily this transaction is now confirmed with 6 confirmations.

This transaction is still unconfirmed, but I managed to successfully submit it to the viabtc accelerator. The viabtc pool will now confirm it in the next block it mines if no other pool confirms it before then.

https://blockchain.info/tx/ba3b3aeb408f36f71bfcf1f79c505af84e2cd2547bb5caa2858185e33dcb51f9

That just leaves your original transaction below. The viabtc accelerator will now accept it if you can submit it before it reaches its hourly limit of 100 free submissions.

https://blockchain.info/tx/73d6d8e4a30ede829db2daa88041afc35a53d769a717407b5da3eac2f2b253ad

Keep trying to submit it to this site at the start of each hour until it says you were successful.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

After that the viabtc pool will confirm your original transaction for you.

edit

Your transaction's confirmed in a block mined by ViaBTC now.
2370  Other / MultiBit / Re: How to send two payments from the same wallet? on: May 20, 2017, 07:49:09 PM
Are you using multibit classic or multibit HD?

I agree with zend7's advice that you should switch to electrum. However, I'm guessing your current transaction's problem might be because all your Bitcoins are in the same address. After you sent some you have to wait until that transaction's confirmed until you can send again.

When you send Bitcons from an address multibit classic sends the left over change back to that same address. It won't let you spend the left over change until the transaction's confirmed.

When you send Bitcons from an address multibit HD sends the left over change to a new address. It also won't let you spend the left over change until the transaction's confirmed.
2371  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2017, 07:11:48 PM
expect some drama until the scaling is resolved. we will see the $1150 - $1350 area to be tested again.

People are desperate to see some correction. And many of them did what they can to cause drama, but alas... This train can't be stopped. Right now an avalanche of noobs is entering bitcoin. They don't even use wallets. All they have is an account with an exchange.

When we touched the old ATHs we were all wondering if it was a double top, and people were cautious to buy. Now those old ATHs are a distant memory, and the higher we go above them the more confidence we get that this is the start of a new rally to the moon. That's encouraging the avalanche of noobs to enter Bitcoin. There's no stopping that avalanche now.

The network was beginning to forget about it, so I rebroadcasted it for you.

However, the free viabtc won't accept transactions like that which contain dust. You will either have to pay a miner to get it confirmed, or hope it confirms by itself.

It's been almost 3 days and I see I am having the same trouble as many people here with insufficient fees.

I am a total noob and I would really appreciate if someone could help me out.

I am using Multibit HD 0.5.1 and the transaction id is the following: c97d3b82d820be0b8e06291f3c1e91df0117cd6236f99a33d2010ab901276863

Thank you in advance  : Kiss

Submit your transaction's ID to this webpage and if it says successful then the viabtc mining pool will confirm your transaction in the next block it mines.

https://www.viabtc.com/tools/txaccelerator/

I suggest you move your coins to an electrum wallet and enable dynamic fees in it. Your multibit HD wallet only paid a fee rate of 26.882 sat/B for your last transaction. That's far too low. The ideal fee for fast confirmations is currently 300 sat/B according to https://bitcoinfees.21.co/

edit

I submitted your transaction's ID to viabtc and it was accepted. The viabtc pool will now confirm your transaction in the next block it mines. You can find a list of the most recent blocks it mined here. It will probably mine another somewhere in between one hour and twelve hours time.

NOTE: I don't recommend that you use MultiBit HD at the moment... it has a serious bug in it that is preventing some users from opening their wallets. If you're going to upgrade to an HD wallet, I would suggest you switch to Electrum.

I second this suggestion.  Aside from the bug issue,  there is no available option for private key transfer in Multibit HD or you cannot get the private key of the address you are using.  I search it in their faq but they just stated that private key is hidden to its users.  So better use electrum.  You can transfer your BTC from your Multibit classic by sending the balance from Multibit classic wallet to electrum wallet.

There is a way to get the private keys multibit HD is using, but you have to use an offline copy of a webpage tool to do it, and it's quite technical. I explained how to do it in this post.

If anyone tries it then install virtual box or vmware first and run the offline webpage inside a virtual machine. It's safest to be ultra paranoid when handling any Bitcoin software, and run it in a secure isolated environment. That way any malicious code can't steal your Bitcoins.

One of the best weekends ever Smiley

Porsche or ferrari? Cheesy

Strangely enough, as high as bitcoin goes I still look for a reasonable car under $5k that will last a few years with low maintenance.

Though I spent more than that in the last week on a vacation.

It's funny how decision making with money works sometimes.  I also noticed that I am inconsistent: penny-wise and pound-foolish.

I try to be as tight fisted as possible on real world things, and throw everything I can at Bitcoin. This cartoon sums it up.

It's currently down for me. I can't even access the block explorer, which is a pity as I like its UX design.

edit

It's back online a few minutes after I took that screenshot. Whatever the problem was they fixed it fast.

Your transaction now has 16 confirmations. The ViaBTC pool confirmed it when it mined block number 467172.

Your transaction has a lot of inputs which is why it has a high total fee. However it only pays a fee rate of 54.157 sat/B, which is very low. Transactions that pay such a low sat/B rate will take a long time to confirm today.

In addition, your transaction has one input from an unconfirmed parent transaction that pays a fee rate of 120.533 sat/B. Your transaction can't confirm until this parent transaction confirms.

That input from an unconfirmed parent transaction itself has an input from yet another an unconfirmed parent transaction that pays a fee rate of 120.533 sat/B

The parent transaction above can't confirm until this transaction below confirms.
