I'm thinking of something like 2% of the block height is needed to earn maximum stake, while the maximum reward could be something like 1% of the block number
Right now that would be about 7003 CUBE to earn 2000% and a max stake reward of around 3501 per block. Both would increase as the block height gets higher, so it would scale fairly well long term

Awesome thanks, I was just talking in c-cex about how I needed to update our old one. If anyone tries this out, please post and verify that it works so I can send him a few CUBE for his time ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Will be opening Wedgie pre-sales soon, as well. Still working on the page for it
B-b-but...WTF IS A WEDGIE? Don't know if want... It will be a much stronger, and quite different, unit, but a bit more expensive. I want to expand the standalone options for staking Prices dropped to 7k satoshi + Richlist Offline ? what's wrong Can't tell you why price dropped, but Richlist looks ok: http://www.presstab.pw/phpexplorer/CUBE/richlist.php

Anyway, I like the idea of having a minimum coin age to get the 2000% and giving a flat reward of like 1 CUBE to those underneath it
If we set that to 10,000, for example, then an input of 5000 would have to not stake for two days to get the higher rate, an input of 1000 would have to wait 10 days, etc, etc
This value could also be on a sliding scale. Like, you must have 2% of the current block number to qualify for higher rates or something. Currently that would be 6927.72 CUBE. That's actually a pretty good idea to make the scale slide up with time

There can be a minimum coinage to earn the 2000%, that's not a problem either; anything under the threshold would earn a different percentage or a static reward. I'm fine with this option, too, if that's what people want, but I think there would be some upset about the rich getting richer, though
I agree more with this option the other one as someone said earlier would be 10-100 out of 1000 blocks at 2000% and the other at a considerably lower rate let's say 100%. I don't really think limiting the stake at 10 or 100 would affect much the inflation as people would just split their inputs. Little more work for them but i don't think it would solve the hyperinflation. Just my 2 bucks Option4: The better way tostop inflation of the coin is to reduce the staking rate in different stage up to 1%: March 4% May 3% July 2% November 1%
Imo this option is worth considering. If we do not change it so it will look At the end of March we will reach 10 million CUBE's ... 100 million at the beginning of May Your math is shit and way off, but we obviously know this is going to get too high. Read that last pages for once instead of just posting before you read what is going on

Leave your opinion below. Not doing a poll because the 3 anti-iGotSpots trolls with thousands of fake names will skew results
1) Cap Stake Rewards at 10 CUBE per block while maintaining 2000% stake rate (means the max a block can reward is 10 CUBE, regardless of input size) 2) Cap Stake Rewards at 100 CUBE per block while maintaining 2000% stake rate (means the max a block can reward is 100 CUBE, regardless of input size) 3) Cap Stake Rewards at ?? CUBE per block while maintaining 2000% stake rate (means the max a block can reward is ?? CUBE, regardless of input size) - LEAVE YOUR CAP SUGGESTION IN POST 4) Do nothing, leave it as it is
Options 1, 2, and 3 would give a small advantage to small holders and encourage large holders to split their coins up into smaller input sizes
option 4, CUBE seems way why change it? something like option 1 seems too low, in a few months everyone will be above the threshold and then most likely the community will want to change the cap again to something different ... That's why I mentioned a sliding cap earlier. The cap could be, for example, a % of the block number, which would increase over time. But then why change it at all if we are going to allow inflation, just in a different way. I am perfectly fine with leaving it how it is; other people were complaining, not me ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

Wow awesome. So they do in fact exist, I guess we can put the rumor that it was a "scam" to bed now. How does it work, does it come with the wallet already on it ?

Yes. Wallet is ready to be loaded up; icon is on the 'desktop' I do not connect your device to the internet and wallet.dat is not generated until you load the wallet for the first time
I DO NOT GENERATE WALLET.DAT

It basically does the same thing, but I think this will be a lot easier for new people to understand
Rather than limit input size, we would just limit actual reward amount so small users still retain the ability to stake without being bullied out by max users
Remember, the farther above the max you are, the more OFTEN you would stake for the max
|
|
|
Inflation controls of some sort definitely needed. Perhaps POS master PressTab could offer some suggestions.
This is a very smart solution to keep the stake rate intact for small holders while capping the maximum that can be earned per input. The only thing we need to decide on is what the cap will be. I can also make a sliding cap that changes based on block number or something. I am open to suggestions on how to cap it and when, but I don't think there will be a better option available. Capping input size or coinage will confuse people; this is a much simpler system to explain to new users than over-complicating it to do the same thing

If anyone else thinks 100 is too low, please post here what your suggestion is. I am open to listen
I also think at least 1000 (probably 2k-3k). Think also in the long term. There is a limitation of blocks per day or month and if 100 or 1000 is fine today, difficulty will go up followed by weeks to get a stake and this would probably kill the coin. If every block staked for 100 (long-term talk), then it would be creating 288,000 new coins per day after modifying the coin, we will have chance of losing everything we already have? You will lose nothing Thanks. to earn 100Cubes we have to hold about 1800Cubes? Daily, yes
