This one I could somewhat understand, because it's so obvious. But I see you do it on pretty much every single noob loan. Maybe someone did legitimately sign up here only to get a loan. It's not impossible.
But abusing the trust system because of what you think is just ridiculous. And really, all it does is make me (and I'm sure others) not want to trust you. On the contrary, that's exactly what one of the aspects of the Trust system is for: To warn potential counterparts that they may be getting into a deal that's with somebody who isn't exactly above board. In fact even before Trust was implemented I, along with a core group of scam-busters, saved people from getting scammed out of over 220 BTC, last I tallied it. That figure is probably a lot higher than that by now. Granted, I called it wrong on more than a few occasions and may have hurt some feelings, but honestly I don't give a fuck.

So just get your money back from escrow, problem solved.

That wasn't an arrest from his fed charges though. Still pretty good news lol

I understand what you're trying to do... but is it really helpful to abuse the trust system? If I asked for a loan would you give me negative trust? It isn't abusing the trust system by giving negative trust to someone who registered a new account and within four hours requested a (equiv) $11K USD loan. I challenge you to find a single successful loan request that was made by a same-day account that was ever paid back. You can begin your search using forum search feature here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=searchLet me know if you can find one because honestly I've never heard of a single one in the history of the Lending sub-section. I'm not trying to be sarcastic - I could be wrong since I haven't really checked that thoroughly. But without putting much effort into it I can probably point you to several dozen same-day loan request which were filled and NEVER paid back.

So is he in custody yet? Does he even have a warrant?

It was a different addy i used my desktop client address not my other wallet Congrats on getting the loan filled. You should post the TxIDs so you can have a public record of successfully receiving and paying back the loan to help build up your rep ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Past history has shown that people who borrow large sums of BTC (or any sum of BTC for that matter) have a markedly higher risk of becoming seriously injured to the point of requiring extended stays at a hospital, preventing them from paying back their loans or even logging into the forum. I flagged this guy with negative trust for his own protection and safety.

I forgot to include the transaction fee, so it might take a few hours to a few days to actually show up on the block chain. Keep an eye out for it.

I can do this loan. What's your address? Oh nvm, I see it in your sig. Ok, sent 100 BTC. I hope this helps!

I don't get how you deal in lots of 1800 BTC (yes, one thousand eight-hundred) and have to borrow .21 BTC.

Sent. Please pay back .15 in one week!

That's why you should avoid Paypal at all costs. What did he end up getting you for?

Eisenhower34 mentioned that the asic hardware companies might not deliver, so it could be years before you get your equipment. It would probably take longer to make the money on your own rather than make the money through me paying you back.
In which case the best course of action for you is to somehow borrow the 50 BTC and maybe/maybe not order the ASIC unit, then simply default on the loan and abandon that account. Win/win for you while exposing yourself to zero risk.

Why would anybody make a loan for mining equipment when we could just buy the thing and mine back the entire cost (+interest) ourselves? That would eliminate ALL the risk of the borrower defaulting and give us the option to sell the equipment on the secondary market.
|
|
|
Requests for mining hardware are absurd. Why loan someone BTC for mining hardware when we could just buy the mining hardware and mine the entire amount (+interest) ourselves?

Just be careful of Chase Quickpay...it's reversible.

Edit: Nvm. Got it. Marked with negative rep -- he won't be around anymore on that account.

what happened to old bitcoin forum? remember when nice rich men on here gave away bitcoins to a person who only said "i want this, pay back by this day" i miss those nice rich men, they die?
are you all in debt? What are you talking about? It's the same as it's ever been. In fact, OgNasty just got a 200BTC loan nearly immediately after he requested it. Why are you requesting a loan? Are you in debt?

Negative. Unless you have 220 LTC for collateral, I can't supply this loan.

Joey, why are you receiving shipments of various product from Silk Road?
