This really sucks. It is to hard to use, get, trust, and secure bitcoin transactions. Another black eye for bitcoin.
2382  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you going to cash out? on: February 08, 2013, 02:41:25 AM
I understand that fiat is trash I dont hold it either speculate in silver and gold let the currency be bitcoin or any other digital currency. I am in it to defund the government and crush the banks that enslave people with debt. If you cant get them and price is always volatile they wont use it and a new market will pop up. The idea is out it is just a matter of who is going to make it work for everyone.

You are all over the place man. You want a free market? You want a new currency? You want stability? You better choose two of three, because all three simply won't fit together.

You want a new, stable currency? It's going to be regulated by someone, not floating on the free market.

You want a stable, free market currency? It's got to be mature enough to have passed the volatile price discovery phase.

You want a new, free market currency? It's going to be volatile as hell while we discover the price.

You talk about manipulation and the exchange rate being too high in the same breath. Think about what you are saying! Someone with a spare couple hundred thousand dollars can move the market several percent. There are plenty of people in the world who consider this pocket change. You can bet some of them are going to try and manipulate small markets for their own ends. The higher the exchange rate goes, the harder it gets to push the price around and the less manipulation the market will see.

If volatility and manipulation scares you, you probably shouldn't involve yourself with Bitcoin for another 20-30 years, because it's going to be a wild ride. If you think alternative free market coins which add nothing of value will fare better, you are fooling yourself. At least Bitcoin is in the realm of the free market and anyone attempting to manipulate the price will be exposed to market forces, just like the rest of us, not protected by governments and lenders of last resort.

The free market is regulated..... by the members of the market. I want a new, stable, market regulated currency. Bitcoin can be forgotten just as fast as it was spawned. If people cant use it it has no value what so ever, if a better coin comes along bitcoin will just be a memory. You guys cant see the forest for the bitcoins IMO.
2383  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do you really belive that you won't be able to buy at 20$ again? on: February 07, 2013, 08:45:51 PM
Why are you fueling this rally like crazy? It dosen't seem to me that more than doubling the price in a month or so is healthy for this small economy.

I admit it, I want the price to go down to buy, but hell, 22$ is a crazy price. Someone is gonna hurt.

+1 22 a coin is bullshit.

It's not what i want to say.

22$ a coin starting from 8$ a coin 2 months ago is bullshit.

22$ a coin 6 months from now could be the right price.

But not in < 50 days.

Bubble.

Agreed 100% to high to fast

If your coins are over valued and hard to get people will buy litecoins which are undervalued and easy to get.

The divisibility of a bitcoin makes this argument invalid. People can acquire whatever fraction of a coin is required for their transaction.

Really? you are kidding right? Ya bitcoins are dividable but what the @#$5 does that matter if people hold all the coins do you see how many say I will sell when btc is 4k a coin. @ that guy Screw you buddy i hope it goes to zero. I will be laughing my ass off. If everyone just holds coins this thing will not work.
2388  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer - MtGoxUSD wall movement tracker on: February 07, 2013, 08:01:48 PM
Ltc coin is going to start eating into btc soon. The demand for btc is extremely limited most of the buyers are speculators, people will abandon bitcoin for something more friendly, accessible, less anonymous and more transparent. I love bitcoin I think it is the biggest idea of our lives but nothing doubles in 90 days. I say the more competitor coins the better. 22 is a bull shit price to high to fast.

The only way to extract value from an altcoin atm is to exchange it for btc. I'd rather save myself the time and just deal in BTC

You cant have that limited of a view point, that is the only way right now. I will buy litecoins for fiat soon lots of places will.
2389  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you going to cash out? on: February 07, 2013, 07:56:43 PM
what the problem? What exactly dont you like about me?
2390  Economy / Speculation / Re: When are you going to cash out? on: February 07, 2013, 07:47:59 PM
Bitcoin is not working the way that it needs to in my opinion, I am hopeful that ltc will bring the bitcoin community in line. What I see is a bunch of banker wannabees
a bunch of speculators and greedy people. I love the idea, but I think the community that bitcoin has built is based on greed bitcoin is already a manipulated market people are just holding coins off the market, just like gold and silver manipulation. I hope ltc coin takes off fast and makes it more accessible and brings the btc price down.

You're hoping that LTC, which is only used by emo-sad miners that want to just print their own money again because of their greed....does something other than that? You make me laugh.

He is still mad that theymos didn't know who was and let him hold on to 500BTC funds for the forum. Kinda getting annoying with his whining. Bitcoins is not for 12yrs.

Dude I dont want those coins, I am 31 I am married I have a son and another child on the way. I have been a business owner for years.

If you dont see that ltc is going to be huge you are a fool. It will help regulate the cost of btc and if they get manipulated then their will be another coin. If your coins are over valued and hard to get people will buy litecoins which are undervalued and easy to get. It is not rocket science guys not much barriers to entry for new coins. Bitcoin is not the only game in town.

How quickly you guys say a post isn't relevant. This is one of the best that I have seen. There are great lessons in this post. Leave it up. This post has it all greed, shame, anger, regret personally I think everyone should read it especially the younger members. It is important that people treat the coins like cash and not just internet play money they need to know what can happen if you play games, ... that you could get seriously hurt with btc.
2394  Economy / Services / Re: Selling stuff on eBay for commission? on: February 07, 2013, 05:26:47 PM
That is why so many bitcoin sellers get shut down or scammed they try and get around fees through the site. Ebay and PP get paid when I sell, I will not go around them it is a policy violation and as much as I dislike ebay and PP it is what people use. I can't try and cheat them on their site. So I just sell it the way they want it sold on the site. That is why I only sell one coin on ebay at a time.
2395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise And Rise of Bitcoin on: February 07, 2013, 05:09:37 PM
I have a solution to the problem of availability of bitcoin. No one wants to hear it but that is my goal to give bitcoins to the masses and that is what I do. It is not 100% percent risk free but I do get coins to people fast and easy. I just dont have enough coins! I think that ltc is the next bitcoin for sure. I will buy more when I get my next batch of btc. I am also giving away a free litecoin for liking our page on facebook litecoin friends. If you want to know how I sell to the general public on ebay and facebook for Paypal and have 99.8% success rate you can look under photos on bitcoin friends and see our selling procedure you can also see under completed listings for bitcoin on ebay. My user name is northoutboards.
2396  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for people to store some of the forum's money on: February 07, 2013, 04:50:25 PM
Let the people who donated the coins hold their excess donations, you have a list of the transactions just send them back the coins when you need them ask for them. Nice and f@#$ simple no need to scam on it, no need to pay fees, no need for complicated key systems, no risk of theft,no trust issues, no people begging to hold the coins.  My suggestion is the only one that makes sense.   I will not donate to the fund if these funds are given to insiders.
2397  Economy / Services / Re: Selling stuff on eBay for commission? on: February 07, 2013, 05:35:13 AM
I sell bitcoins for paypal on ebay all the time. They are not going to stop me. They get paid when I sell and I take the charge back risk. It is not a matter of time before they stop me. I do agree about sending as a gift I do not allow my buyers to send as a gift, I want pay pal to get paid so they dont have a problem with my account.
2398  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Rise And Rise of Bitcoin on: February 07, 2013, 05:08:11 AM
I agree that bitcoins is a great innovation and that i would love to go to a bitcoin convention. I think the biggest problem is people scamming and the difficulty to get coins. People will abandon bitcoin if it is hard to use and people steal from them. The average person is not going to kiss peoples ass to get a few stinking bitcoins. It need to be made easy.
2399  Economy / Lending / Re: A list of defaulted loans (list of scammers inside here) on: February 07, 2013, 04:38:05 AM
If you have facebook pages for confirmed defaulter i will make a photo on my site with the names of offenders. It is bitcoin friends on facebook. We have a scammer wall i could make a defaulter one too. I also have a hero wall if anyone want to added, they can interview.
2400  Other / Off-topic / Re: OT posts in Looking for people to store some of the forum's money on: February 07, 2013, 04:18:58 AM
I think that is why so many people perked up on this one. Someone is passing out coins holy shit. I really have zero interest in holding the forums coins and I would question the motives of anyone who would. I think letting the people hold their own contributions is the way to go even if you dont loan the coins out. I was just thinking of ways to put coins in peoples hand that was low risk and easy and would be good for everyone.
