2381  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 24, 2022, 03:48:35 PM
^^ Venue is also very important for this fight, gamblers will come out on the fight week so hotels and casinos will have to take advantage of it. Again, we have seen Crawford and Floyd in the public together and I reckon it could be in Floyd's hometown and for sure Floyd as well might be indirectly making money out of it. Good if they can add good undercard in this fight, but the selling point is still the main fight. Knowing how deep PBC's stable though, maybe they will have another big name to be included here.

As far as the venue's concerned, I reckon they will hold the said fight in Las Vegas because that's a neutral ground for both boxers and not in Michigan where Floyd's hometown is, and the last date was I think somewhere in October or November. They don't have to be that concerned about the selling point because this fight will sell millions of dollars in the ticket sale and more millions in PPV buys.
2382  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 24, 2022, 12:16:04 PM
Lomachenko, as far as we know, is the godfather of the children of another Ukrainian boxer, Oleksandr Usyk, and his fight will take place much later than Usyk's fight, so he may well support his compatriot and win. However, considering that Ortiz fully justifies his nickname as technical and he has not lost yet, so Lomachenko will have to try very hard.

I think its Ortiz who should try to work here, he is the underdog and he is up against a very skilled, quick with a good generalship he is fighting the kind of boxer that he has not fought in his whole career, Loma has fought fighters like or better than Ortiz in the past, he has an injury when he fought Lopez, that is why he lost the fight, if we will see a healthy Loma we can see similar fights like the Commey fight, a healthy Loma can beat any great boxer.

Indeed this will be a huge test for Ortiz since some reply here stated that Ortiz hasn't fought any decent fighter yet, let alone Loma who is a very skilled one.  Ortiz should prepare and study Loma closely in order for him to at least match the pace of Loma if not outpaces him.  We may think that this is the same as a walk in the park for Loma but we can't tell if that will be the case since I think Ortiz will be fully prepared for this fight.  I am sure no boxer wanted his career to be blemished.

Ortiz may have not lost a fight in his career yet but this time will be much different as Loma is not that easy to defeat and the latter has been through fights that molded him into what he is now, Ortiz should be careful because he could pave the way for Loma's comeback and scathe his record. Well, if Ortiz is that determined then he have to prepare hard just to defeat Loma to have a chance in fighting the champions soon.

If he wants to add good hypes in his resume, beating Loma is one of the best thing that he can do and will open a big door for him

to have a good money fight that will bring more opportunities. Maybe a title fight will come on his way after beating Loma, knowing

how the influence of social media can bring to his career, he just need to prepare hard to take down Loma and it will surely bring him up.

Surely that will open lots of opportunities for Ortiz if he can manage to defeat Lomachenko but that won't come easy as we know how Loma fights in the ring and his IQ is much different compared to an average boxer. Ortiz's only advantage is that Loma might start easy as the latter will likely feel the fight first from inactivity but after that, we may see a blow-by-blow fight and that is if Ortiz can withstand it if the fight drags longer.
2383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: August 24, 2022, 11:53:57 AM
The same situation with Ancajas because he originally prepared for a title defense fight against Kazuto Ioka but was replaced last minute by Fernando Martinez and Ancajas ultimately lost the title he held for quite a long time. These instances can't be predicted because the original boxer wanted to participate in the fight but an issue surfaced later on which resulted in a need for a substitute just like this time.

Even if there's no sudden replacement, Jerwin Ancajas might probably still lose that supposed original fight.

The reason is very clear and it was stated by his team. Ancajas is not in good shape because of his hard training to catch the required weight. That resulted in him not performing on his usual and Ioka might take that as an advantage.

As I read on some reports, that's the focus now of Ancajas camp as they are really preparing seriously to get a win on a rematch against Martinez.

We can't know that for sure because aside from the fact that Ancajas was struggling to catch the required weight, his trainings were originally made for Ioka and the team was studying the Japanese boxer's move for quite some time to help Ancajas win the fight but that didn't happen because of Ioka's sudden decision. Not sure though why Ioka backed out, does anybody here know why?
2384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 24, 2022, 11:05:09 AM
Many didn't feel him during the last season. He really has to redeem himself and get back in shape for this season.

Because some critics are finding a way to criticize the Lakers. That treatment to Westbrook isn't that harsh when he was playing in Houston Rocket and Washington Wizards. There are just of people who don't like Lakers and Lebron James that's why these people are finding a way to always throw a bad impression at the whole Lakers. There are lots of issues that the Lakers faced but didn't highlight.

Anthony Davis, an injury prone, didn't even receive some backlash for being soft. Westbrook can't carry a team while AD and LBJ are not present.

Other than that fact, the people and the fans really expected the new roster of Lakers to be so dominant last season because the team are consist of All-Star players when in reality most of that All-Star player is not in their prime anymore. Moreover, they set up a high standard for Westbrook with almost no room for mistakes because of the stats he had in the past years.
2385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 24, 2022, 10:41:34 AM
Thanks to Canelo losing to Bivol, because if that didn't happen, we might not see this fight.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I believed regardless of the result of the Bivol-Canelo match, the trilogy fight between Canelo and GGG will still materialize. That's already on Canelo's timeline this year. Instead, what I'm thinking is, that if GGG were defeated by Murata, that might ruin the negotiations regarding the trilogy.

Moving forward, we are all fortunate to witness the upcoming trilogy that was being requested for years.

Let's hope for no controversial issues that will happened in this fight.

Yep, you got that right! Canelo's fight with Golovkin for the 3rd time is already arranged and will happen right after Bivol because Canelo can't have Bivol if he won't agree to fight Golovkin for a trilogy. In fact, there are 3 boxers in line for Canelo this year or at least 1st quarter of next year. The trilogy might only cancelled if Golovkin lost that fight against Murata because Golovkin and his camp will surely know that they don't have a choice against Canelo if they can't at least defeat Murata.
2386  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 22, 2022, 06:55:12 PM

Anyhow, and since Loma has declared his comeback, this two for sure have that at the back of their mind because the winner of this fight will challenge Loma in the next fight. Bob Arum has already set this plan in motion already.

That's a good news if it will happen, Loma vs Haney, such a great rivalry as both are technical fighter. I like Loma to win but Haney is just too fast, so Loma has to make a strategy that will expose Haney's weakness, which no one knows for now.

Might be too premature to say it this time because Loma will for sure adjust in the ring first because he's been inactive for almost a year now while busy defending his country against the Russian army during that time of inactivity in the ring. We'll see Loma's comeback first against Ortiz, but I can say that the latter has a smaller chance to win and a fight between Loma vs Haney will be a good fight to see for sure, soon!
2387  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 22, 2022, 06:33:35 PM

But future wise, both fighters are thinking about the possibilities personally. I see Crawford to be very keen to have a fight
this year, maybe if there's alternative options he will grab it.

What alternative he is looking for? Crawford who is also a champion is challenging him, isn't it good to just accept the challenge and prove to the fans that he is the better fighter? Spence is not a definition of a warrior if he act like that, he should not choose a fight just to remain undefeated.

True, both of this fighters have clean up the 147 lbs division that they have all the belts, Spence 3 and Crawford 1. So it's just about time to see who is the best and cemented their legacy.

Although the options that I can see is that Spence moving up to 154 lbs and face Charlo. Or Crawford going to 140 lbs, maybe get Josh Taylor but not sure if that is marketable enough to make money. The best money fight for this two is for them to get on the same ring.

I thought that Crawford will be the one climbing 154 lbs. and fight Charlo if ever this fight won't materialize this year and I reckon Crawford said that in his interview regarding the whereabouts of this undisputed match. But we never know because only Spence and Crawford know what's going on behind the curtain but Spence should know that he is getting ugly if this fight drags too long. This undisputed fight has been waited by the public for so long, so they should make it happen.

So the replacement of Broner won the fight against Omar Figueroa, not sure if fans have bet on this fight, but I totally skip this one. Lipinets stop Figueroa, his corner and father wave the white flag and ask the referee to stop the fight as his son is taking too much punishment in the hands of Lipinets. He also drops Omar in the second round. Not sure though is this win will have a bearing in the 140 lbs. Possible that Lopez who won over Campa can fight Lipinets as another step up fight for him to be "legitimate" 140 lbs contender, so lets's see.
The results were quite surprising because as a substitute for Broner, Lipinets actually only had a little time to prepare for the fight, but in fact Lipinets were able to compensate and even fight quite crazy by releasing many heavy blows at Figueroa, I think,  what Figueroa father did was actually true because in the 8th round, Lipinets were really quite brutal with many targeting Figueroa head as a target, so it was clear that Lipinets dominated enough without any resistance from Figueroa who had been stuck at the side of the ring.

It is not surprising because when a boxer is replaced at the last moment, all the training and preparation of the other boxer is wasted.  They (Figueroa) prepare a strategy against Broner but instead got Lipinet at the last moment.  If you remember the last fight of Paquiao the same thing happen, his camp prepare for the fighter replaced by Ugas but got Ugas at the last minute so Pacquiao have trouble adjusting during the fight and lost.

Lakers is indeed a powerful team so its players should also represent the outstanding performances that the team needs. However, with Westbrook, even if he has not made outstanding performances in the previous games, but I don’t think Lakers will pursue trading Westbrook, instead the team will add more players that bring more asset to the team.
They are not pursuing it because no team is willing to make a trade. That's why they should just forget about it and move on, use Westbrook as one of their key players again and see if this time he would be productive. Maybe it just needs time to adjust and build some chemistry with Lebron and AD for us to see his worth.

They should give it a try if this trio could work. Last season, they only played together for 21 games. I think no one could build reliable chemistry if you only played too few games together. If AD and Lebron can stay healthy, maybe they could eventually have chemistry with Westbrook. And who knows, their coach wanted Westbrook to remain, maybe he has something in mind that could make Westbrook fit better with the Lakers.

The post above might be the reason why they will be a force in keeping Westbrook. No one is willing to take the guy

as how they've seen the performance of this man after leaving OKC, he's been traded multiple times and nothing happens. He is not
a valuable asset anymore and with his last performance with the Lakers, he's more on liability than being an asset of the team, maybe
yes, the new head coach will try blending him with both AD and LeBron in hope that he can work it out.

Okay, let's give them a chance, they now have at least one season to prove that they have the potential to improve their chemistry and possibly win a championship. No more excuses for sure, they have to had a good start which is the opposite of what happen last season.

They should because the other teams in the league has already improved to be the best version of themselves, especially the Boston Celtics which started from scratch until they reached the Finals recently and now they'll be more dangerous because of that experience they have acquired. Nevertheless, the Lakers could be a great team if they can build a chemistry and Westbrook should also do his role.
2391  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 22, 2022, 04:01:32 PM
Middle East is more suitable because it is a neutral place to fight for the both boxers rather than fighting again in American soil where Bivol might face the same situation he had in their first encounter.

But a cruiserweight fight for Canelo might be too much for him as we already saw his performance in light-heavy, I mean what's more if he will fight in cruiserweight? He might be strong but his moves will be much calculated by his foes as he won't be that fast enough in cruiserweight. Anyway, let's see Canelo's decision after this trilogy.

Cruiserweight is to much for Canelo. Not only boxers there are heavier and stronger, but they are often taller. He would have to go to close distance to have any success, but his face will be smashed with heavy jabs all the time. Besides, he has only two fights in light heavy. A loss to Bivol, and a victory over Kovalev, who seems to be selling his belt for several millions, instead of boxing, plus he was not in his prime already. Light weight has still bunch of good opponents for Canelo, if he finds middleweight or super middle weight boring or empty for him.

Right! It will be an overstatement if we say that he will do just fine in cruiserweight because we saw how he performed against a young champion in light-heavyweight, or at least his speed is not that hard to read anymore because of the added weight. By now, Canelo and his team are trying to weigh things if they should try and tie the score against Bivol because it's not an easy challenge for Canelo and it's too risky to be defeated by the same boxer twice. Also, the other champion in light-heavy is Artur Beterbiev, I can't really say that Canelo will be the one to end his long-standing KO streak.

Devin Haney trolling his rival Teofimo Lopez. His latest tweet was only a few minutes after Teofimo's win and many noticed it right away, especially ESPN's ringside commentators of the fight. I love it. Keep the heat going on. At least Haney walks the talk and is an undisputed champ, unlike Ryan Garcia who only owns social media belts. But Haney should not look past Kambosos though as that ex-champ has nothing to lose and might go all in their rematch.
Definitely Garcia only own social media belt lol, if Garcia didn't scared to face Tank, why did he move up to the next weight Huh?

Well it turn Lopez is still a big head person and I think he wouldn't change his character even if he suffer from the second losses, Lopez need to move on lol and not claiming anymore if he's the best on his previous weight division. It's already over and yeah, I believe Haney wouldn't lost against other good boxers since he have a fight style which would make him favor on the judges.
He is never going to change but this also means that the perception people have of him is never going to change either, this makes him seems as a sore loser, not only he lost fair and square he is still unable to accept the reality of it, and the worst part is that not only this affects his image but his potential as well, after all how is possible for him to correct his deficiencies in his fighting style if he actually believes he is the best of his generation?
In boxing, what matter is your style, if your style will help you sell your fights and would give you good money, then you continue with that. Besides, it's only your character in boxing, that doesn't mean it's the same in your personal life. In short, boxing is just a business for them, and for the fans, it's entertainment, we paid them to get entertained.

Betting Spreads are still the same, SMB is -1.5, so I like to assume that we have balance bets on both sides.

The game will start at 6:00 pm, hopefully we have a facebook live stream on this one.
So far, no injury announcement, so expect a full lineup of both teams will play.

It is good that there is no injury. This is the finals and it is better if the two teams are in full force. Though there are more fans of San Miguel, I think they are just toe-to-toe in talents and competitiveness. This will be an exciting match-up.

I am betting on San Miguel to win the first game.

Good luck to us, the game will start in 15 minutes from now, so make sure that you have already put your bet before the game will start so you will not regret it. SMB winning the first game, that's good for us backers, hehe..can't wait to watch this game. There might be some delay since it's game 1, you know, the introduction thing might take time.
2395  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 21, 2022, 06:17:24 AM
But Westbrook for Irving? That would not happen, he was even traded by the Wizards because he did not fit in their system, in fact, when he got traded Wizards improved, it not only due to the injury problem, they have a chance to be in the playoffs last season.

The problem with Westbrook is he really didn't give much outstanding performance which many fans expect. And he is now the target of bashing then blame him every game they lose so maybe he was so affected with it mentally that's why we see his games so broken. For sure for his past performance many teams will doubt to get him because they might get the same issue with him.

They have a full new season coming, time to fix that doubts and Westbrook has to relive that old Westbrook who is a scoring champ and an MVP as well. It's now or never, because if he still messed up this coming season, Lakers will surely dump him through trade.

2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Rematch - JOSHUA vs USYK II (updated thread) on: August 21, 2022, 04:14:17 AM
Usyk really won a well-deserved victory, even by decision, if a fight with Fury takes place, it would be interesting to see what happens there, the Gypsy King in his style has already commented on the rematch of Usyk vs Joshua and called it one of the worst title fights in his opinion.

https://twitter.com/Tyson_Fury/status/1561138327964860420

Just like Fury, Usyk is also strong because AJ caught him with some clean shots but he was still standing. I like his durability, I think he is ready for the gypsy king, but if that match would happen, I would still root for the Gypsy King to win.

Anyway, congratulations to Usyk, I thought the trilogy is coming.  Grin
2398  Economy / Gambling / Re: How do you know how to trust online sportsbooks? on: August 20, 2022, 12:17:33 PM
Knowing how to choose the ideal bookmaker, where it gives you the confidence to feel comfortable and calm that you will not suffer any mishap, is difficult; a risk is always taken at the time of entering any of these. Of course there are signs that can indicate that a bookmaker is the one for you, but it can simply be a facade and end up being scammed. Playing in this type of sites implies that you are not sure of anything, everything is luck and strategy, where you can lose everything or win it. So I guess the only way to be sure if it is legit is to research, test and take the risk, either win and get the best place to bet or lose.

It's not difficult for me because I make sure I only gamble on a site with a good reputation, not saying my money are safe because there's always a risk of losing our money, but at least, with a reputable gambling site, the risk is very low. Also, always bear in mind that you should be ready if something happens with your money as we have to gamble what we can afford only.
2399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Vasiliy Lomachenko vs Jamaine Ortiz - October on: August 20, 2022, 11:36:18 AM

But it will be interesting what the sports bookies will open up the Over and Under odds. You reckon it will be on the 7.5 rounds as well? Or will it be 10.5?

For sure odds will be available soon, or Loma by KO in rounds (1-3) (4-6) (7-9) (10-12), we just have to choose from the round ranges. However, if the over/under odds is 7.5, I will take the under for sure.

I would choose 6 rounds and below, which means 2 bets on the round ranges. I'm sure the odds would still make me profitable if that would hit since usually, it's +300 up. Loma is not really a very aggressive fighter, he likes to take it slow while dismantling his opponent, so rounds 6 below will have higher betting odds than rounds 7 over.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 20, 2022, 10:14:24 AM
They can if they let go of Westbrook. A big chunk of their budget is getting eaten by Westbrook's contract. So, it will even out if they trade Westbrook to Kyrie.

I do not know if the Nets will ever find a trade for these players. Their asking price is way too high for other teams to afford, unless the other teams are desperate to get Kyrie or Durant. I think these two will remain nets.

Yeah, if the Lakers really want Irving, they will need to trade Westbrook anyway. However, the problem is that the Nets aren't particularly interested in Westbrook, which means the Lakers need to find a third team who will agree to be part of the deal and want Westbrook with such a huge contract. Honestly, I doubt any other team would be willing to participate in a deal like that.

Maybe they are interested of Davis, however, I don't think the Lakers would let go of Davis and keep Westbrook, so in short, this trade is not going to happen as they don't agree with the terms. Safe to say that Irving will stay as a Nets and will help the team together with Durant to win a championship.

No, they will not let go of Davis. It was clear that Davis will be their main man this season just like how they run it in Disneyland. Maybe both Lakers and Nets should give their trio another run. It may not end so badly this time. The key to the Lakers is that Davis remains healthy. If he does, their trio is a monster. The Nets, maybe there will be no more drama, and their trio can work together to get their own championship.

Maybe they are just waiting for Simmons to improve, their deficiency last season was their defense, and we know that Simmons is a great defensive player, so they would already solve their problem as long as Simmons is healthy which for sure he is next season. They have to be patient, give it a time, Harden is out but they have Simmons who is also a superstar.
