litecoin is already making waves since mt.gox already announced support for it Smiley

so currently it would seem that bitcoin == gold .... litecoin == silver .... bronze === ??

When's the last time you heard of someone buying bronze?

Same happend to me, though it was only a few coins back in 2010...

It's like we're the same person. My heart sank when I revisited it and realized what I abandoned (both in value and concept). Anyway, I'm back and I'm in.

I really wish there was a sure-fire way of tweaking my scrypt hashing with my 7870. At this point it's mostly easter-egging and I hate it.

I just hope these things are shipped and I receive mine before difficulty skyrockets and I end up wasting the money that I spent on one of the boxes.
245  Other / Beginners & Help / Offline client using ubuntu livecd on: April 26, 2013, 01:40:05 PM
I tried going the Ubuntu LiveCD route and creating an offline wallet for archival but I run into a few issues. Either dependencies aren't included (e.g. python-psutil) or the client doesn't run due to requiring other supporting software that isn't included on a vanilla livecd (12.01). I found someone who had a pre-configured livecd but it was compiled by someone else and of course I'm a little skeptical about using someone else's build for something as sensitive as this. I also want to avoid connecting to the internet for anything once it's started up.

Assistance / suggestions are appreciated.
246  Other / Beginners & Help / Upgraded my GPU to an XFX 7870 Double D Black Edition. Help me tweak? on: April 18, 2013, 10:42:58 PM
So I got http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150606 card today, upgraded from an evga GTX 470. I'm using bitmint's client, with stock settings, and it's yielding roughly 380-400 Mh/s. While this isn't bad, If I can squeeze more out of it with tweaks, I would obviously like to do so. Any recommendations from anyone?

OS: Windows 8 64-bit

Thanks in advance
