241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop glorifying centralized exchanges. on: July 08, 2019, 12:10:58 PM

Centralized exchanges are quite literally evil. They are a failure point for cryptocurrency. If everyone has to do KYC and store their funds with state and corporate servers and give away their financial information to a financial system that is already responsible for predatory finance capitalism, then the very purpose of bitcoin has failed.

You say that the biggest disadvantage of centralized exchanges are the KYC, I dont . If there will be no KYC at centralized exchanges there will be very hard legislation on every user.

In any case I think that centralized exchanges are bad for other reasons - fake volume and hacks.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It costs less to mine gold than it does to mine Bitcoin on: July 08, 2019, 12:07:30 PM
It costs less to mine gold than it does to mine Bitcoin

The inefficiency of mining Bitcoin laid bare… Over the past few weeks, the criticism aimed at Bitcoin mining has grown. Chiefly for the fact that Bitcoin uses a lot of electricity to mine

Would love to read more about this topic but the paper on this matter is not cheap.
The main question here how they calculated the cost per dollar of gold because there are many different gold mines out there with different yields.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is NEO so silent! on: July 07, 2019, 11:06:53 AM
Its been long I hear anything as regards development from NEO blockchain. I just want to know if you guys have heard anything recently about NEO.

Currently I think that all the other smart contract coins are dead in the water, there was a huge fomo about them, they pumped and still are pretty high. Only now it has come to end because there is almost no applications for those new age smart contract or we just do not need them.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Timeline for the altcoins to have bull run. on: July 07, 2019, 11:04:33 AM
Altcoins bull run will start when BTC decides that it is time. BTC has to stay stable and not make nay major moves so that people can start to have belief in the market, only then they will start to risk and altcoins will boom.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Manipulation of cryptocurrency exchanges. on: July 04, 2019, 12:07:48 PM
After looking at a lot of crypto exchanges, have you ever thought about price manipulation in exchange? Have you ever experienced or seen it. Share your experiences and I want to hear a whisper from you. Thank you.

You are an old member of Bitcointalk , it cant be the firs time you have heard of this .
In fact, most of the cryto market is completely fake.
One of many many articles addressing this issue: https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitwise-calls-out-to-sec-95-of-bitcoin-trade-volume-is-fake-real-market-is-or
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BOUNTY PLATFORMS TO WORK WITH, CHOICE IS URS TO MAKE on: July 04, 2019, 12:04:09 PM
Hello

4;Bounty0x: DON'T GO THERE GUYS. they hold the highest number of on going bounty campaigns for platform.
Payments, including pre funded projects are paid months after a successful campaign. no exact time for payments.
most bounties are paid A year after excluding lock periods. they have an average set of admins that care for them selves and Zero affection for their hunters.i doubt if they have any legal terms with project owners. they do have good projects thou. [/b]MAJOR ISSUE IS PAYMENT[/b]. [/b]Who likes to work without getting paid[/b]

I had only good experience with this platform, I received fair payment for my work at the time. They are automatically counting your work which is nice, no reports. The payments depend on other things as well not only on bounty platform's team, the project has a big say so.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: July 03, 2019, 10:09:22 AM
Will you trust a project that the one that announced it in the announcement thread is a legendary member even though the legendary has announced that he is not part of the team and was just part of the service he offered.

Let me know your thoughts here.

Usually it is not a huge factor determining the legitimacy of ICO/IEO. But it certainly can play a big part.
If the legendary has a negative trust, I will check it always and check why he has a negative trust. If it turns out tat he has been involved in past scams, I immediately will stop checking out that project , not worth the risk.

In other cases , it is better that i see legendary than Newbie announcing.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: July 03, 2019, 10:06:55 AM
Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

This is not new practice in general , it used by mobile banks in EU, but it is new for ICO world because it is much more expensive process and usually it is done in their specific application not using third party services like whatsapp or Skype because of security reasons.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: which coin potential even after 100 coinmarket cap on: June 26, 2019, 10:52:04 AM
If you have information for these coins, let me know Cheesy

The truth is that none knows . There could be many reasons why this happens, I can only guess the reasons and one of them is listing in high volume and respectable exchange like KuCoin an Binance.

BTW this was my strategy a long time ago to search for those coins, unfortunately I did not do very good
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: What kind of promotions We should use ? on: June 26, 2019, 10:45:39 AM
This actually is very good post because you decided to add prices. Thank you.

You seem to be short on bounty campaign.
Bounty campaign usually have YouTube ,content and other campaigns also. They are very useful for SEO.

A lot of depends on your project, what is your goals and what are you promoting ?
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: End of FAKE volume reporting on: June 26, 2019, 10:40:50 AM
There are many exchanges that are faking volume. Some reports show that there is up to 90% wrong volume reports. With market developing i am sure there will be more strict rules and penalties.

I think this is the next step in crypto for further development.

There should be some index be issued based on volume to track real volume of top 10 or top 20 exchanges who should be then monitored by some external company.

I hope also CoinMaketCap will take this issue into consideration soon enough to get some real data on smaller exchanges as well.

When i saw this tittle , I was hoping to see some news that it is already happened.

It would be only logical to see that, but it wont happen so soon. It means that every country where these exchanges are located should make specific laws for crypto exchanges. I dont see this happening so soon unfortunately.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook’s Libra Isn’t a “Cryptocurrency” on: June 26, 2019, 10:37:30 AM
I dont see how Libra is any different from other electronic money issuers.

And the argument about disturbing borders is BS, PayPal does the same and they are one of the backers of this project. Not that I am a fanof this joke of a cryptocurrency.
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Binance Coin - Not Far From The Falling on: June 26, 2019, 10:30:23 AM
I have been watching the BNB and every time I take a peak, I think to myself that this is the highest it will go- no point of buying Cheesy

But it keeps going up, it is incredible . It starts to resemble real bull market.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Monero 20% down, time to buy? on: June 26, 2019, 10:25:02 AM
WTF is up with Monero lol, who is buying with me?!

I am with you, I dont understand why Monero has this drop compared to all other major currencies.
Would like to know if there is any real reason behind it , otherwise it can buy a good be a good buy opportunity.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why my day job is making me depressed on: June 25, 2019, 01:47:34 PM
Dont know if you just are promoting this coin in this way or you are truthfull.
If you are truth full and feel so bad i your environment, I would suggest to look for other type of work, there are tons of work which doe snot involve frequent interactions with people. For example, email support.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Vs Trading on: June 25, 2019, 01:45:21 PM
2019 has been a year with mixed feelings for crypto enthusiasts. A lot of bounty hunters have now switched over to trading, because bounty is no longer profitable.
Some have combined the two (both bounty and trading), while larger percentage are still into bounty, despite not being profitable.
I envisage that in two to three years to this time, the population of people on bounty will reduce drastically, because it will no longer be profitable as it used to be.

This is correct and aligned with the market situation but as the market is going up, bounty hunters have more opportunities to make money.
Personally I have only lost money in trading, mainly becasue I used stop loss where i just should have holded.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: US lawmaker: Facebook must delay Libra cryptocurrency on: June 25, 2019, 01:41:34 PM
Usually I am against US lawmakers deciding on crypto related things just because they usually go with the oldschool views and do accomplish nothing.
This time I hope that they will strike down this project and wont let US citizens to participate in this next Facebook theft of our privacy .
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This is some sort of bull run on: June 25, 2019, 01:38:53 PM
As  per my experience , this is not fake bull run. this will be bull run , but do not expect 50000$ per BTC.  BTC double ,means from 4000$ to 8000$ went in a short time , last 2 month it drastically moved up.

I am sorry but what is your experience?

Did you experience more bull runs than others? That is the only one which have appeared in this world the runup to 20k BTC ?

I dont see no real arguments because we will experience altcoin bull run just pure speculation.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DO NEW PROJECTS PLUMMETS AT FIRST MARKET ENTRY on: June 25, 2019, 09:27:08 AM
Do hunters always have to get blamed for dump in token price? Most times during token listing bounty allocations are always locked yet price drop on exchange when compared to ICO price. People take profit both investors and hunters. If I'm an investor and I no longer believe or agree with a project ideology I sell off my position once listed.

No and no.

First of all, investors mostly are there for the long run , they understand that development takes time , this means that they are patient.
I have participated in many bounties over the years, very few, I would approximate them as 5% of all projects do lock their tokens for bounty participants.
