241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Price prediction for 2018: DeepOnion on: February 02, 2018, 02:10:47 AM
Thank you for this extensive analysis, which I've read with interest. Of course there is no way to know how a price of a coin will evolve, it very much also depends of the context, ie if Bitcoin will rise or tank this year, however one of the truly important factors in the value of a coin is the size of the community and how much it is active and passionate about their coin. And I must say that Deep Onion seems to have such a community behind. I guess this could be one of the winning factors.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] TWN - Decentralized News Platform! on: February 02, 2018, 02:04:11 AM
Since I am dealing with information also outside of cryptos I must say that I am very impressed by the way this project has been structured. I'm looking forward to delve into the whitepaper to try to figure out all technical details, which reading the ANN sound very much like science fiction Smiley
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: An "unbiased" coin review of DeepOnion on: February 02, 2018, 01:55:26 AM
That's a fair review, I have read also the second part which is more up to date and thus even more interesting. I see you have not updated your piece with a link to it, so I will give the link:

244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DeepOnion: An "unbiased" Review, Part 2 on: February 02, 2018, 01:50:08 AM
I find this a good fact based review. Some people don't like this coin because they don't like some attitude of team, but while judging a coin we should in the first place looks a the coin itself, if it is following the roadmap, if it is delivering what promised in due time, the quality of what is delivered, and this is the analysis that you have done.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: INDIAN FUD is FAKE - There was no reason to panic on: February 02, 2018, 01:39:07 AM
This is clear. All mainstream coverage of cryptocurrencies lately seems to have had the only reason to create this FUD and push for the dump of the prices. Indian fake news are just the latest infoscam.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What CRASH? There's a huge sale! on: February 02, 2018, 01:37:04 AM
To buy cheap coins you need either to have sold high or to have some FIAT funds anyway you can take money from. You cannot really buy cheap coins when you are 100% in the market Smiley
247  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: February 02, 2018, 01:28:01 AM
If this dude says that bitcoin will cost $ 1000 in a year, it means that you need to buy bitcoin and we are waiting for
another increase. When McCaffee and the other gurus said that bitcoin would cost 40,000, 60,000 or 1,000,000 dollars in 2018,
it was a preparation for the fall of the BTC. Many newcomers bought bitcoins at a level of 10,000 to 20,000 dollars.
Now frightened that bitcoin will fall to $ 1000, so that these newcomers sold their bitcoins at a loss.
And experienced traders will buy cheap bitcoins and in a month will raise the price to $ 30,000.

Exactly. You can already recognize the pattern. Every time they play the role of the bulls and they hype it upwards, everybody buys at absurd prices. Every time they play the role of the bears and they hype it downwards everybody sells at absurd prices.
But in the end... Bulls always make money, bears always make money, pigs always get slaughtered.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG DUMP!!! But i am waiting the chance to get in for more! What do you think? on: February 02, 2018, 01:24:41 AM
For sure this is not one of those days in which you look at your blockfolio in extasy - I didn't dare to open it at all - LoL. Sometime it is better not to know...
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All in for Stellar (XLM) on: February 02, 2018, 01:08:58 AM
I agree but i am not all in for stellar.
I am in around 40% and will add more if price drops. But i love Stellar! and will hodl for years.

That's a big dare! I am unfortunately almost with no Stellar (just a 1000 pieces) but I am there waiting like a predator for a drop to grab a more consistent bag.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO]🔥🔥🔥 GILGAMESH 🔥 SOCIAL NETWORK FOR BOOKS 🔥🔥 ICO IS LIVE on: February 02, 2018, 01:03:25 AM
Is it right for me to compare Gilgamesh to Wattpadd, only it is more sophisticated and built on the blockchain technology? Why? As I understand, this is like a social networking for authors, publishers and readers. As an author, this is a pretty cool way to earn more money and save more dollar amount in publishing books. Good job for the dev because they do not look like rushing through launching the platform. It is well thought through.

Shouldn't it rather be more appropriated to compare it with Goodreads? Also in goodread authors, publishers and readers share the same space.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] DeepONION ⚡ TOR ⚡ DeepVault ⚡ Cryptopia ✈️ Airdrops 29/40 New Thread ✈️ on: February 02, 2018, 01:01:17 AM
Guys, we have a token sale soon and we were torn between some alternatives to ETH,mainly between using XVG and XMR. There's a strong desire for anon currency in the community, though BTC and NEO are obvious.

An early backer suggested we look into DeepOnion. What do you think?

Check out the comparison between DeepOnion, XVG, and XMR. Once you do it, the choice will be obvious.

Do you have a link for a comparison between DeepOnion and the other two coins? Not that you need to convince ME, but I'm curious.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ⚡ [ANN] DeepONION ⚡ TOR ⚡ DeepVault 🚀 Cryptopia 🚀 Airdrop 29/40 New Thread 🚀 on: January 26, 2018, 04:41:20 PM
Dear all,

I'm happy to present you

DeepOnion airdrop statistics - January 26

A few highlights
- The number of participants increased from 769 last week to 813 this week (+5.7%)
- Average airdrop was 295 ONIONs
- 328 participants (40%) received 100 ONIONs or more
- 58 wallets joined the Friday airdrop for the first time
- Over the course of 28 weeks, 1,572 participants received a DeepOnion Friday airdrop
- 682 participants have participated for more than 6 weeks

Don't forget to leave a sMerit if you can spare one  Cheesy

These are very nice stats! I would say that +5.7% weekly increase of the user adoption base of DeepOnion is a truly excellent rate.

It is good to see that over half of the tokens on sale with the discount has already been sold. Let's hope the other one will follow in the next two days.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All in for Stellar (XLM) on: January 26, 2018, 04:31:48 PM
In the past 6 months I´d been studying crypo to jump in the market. I´m a longtime trader of stocks and options, over 10yrs, but crypo it´s an entire new ecosystem and should keep evolving, growing and it seems a correct moment to jump in steadly now, after this correction seems over. I think it will resume falling in the next days and maybe BTC will find support on USD 8/7k area which will ultimatelly provoke supports for altcoins likewise...

I was firstly considering Ripple, but my study in XPR devired to Stellar. After all my reading, I think the current discount of XLM to XPR should not be that large as it is, not to say they should at least be close in MKT Cap terms.

I will buy Stellar and hold it for long. Impossible to say where the price support should found ground, if USD 0,30 will hold or should it slide to 0,20/0,15. I really see this baby at least reaching 1,00 again, and if it succeed to broke this up, should move like Ripple and achieve 3,00 quickly.

Usually penny stocks has a relationship between some numbers, like 1, 3 and 5 as primary targets when it begins  ( those are prime numbers, have also some relation with fibo sequence). I think the development of a price building for crypo should follow such pattern.

All in for XLM!
I would want to see the price go up but it seems like they like to play too much with their airdrops. They should stop doing that.

Airdrops have made the user base adoption wider - which is something which increases value for a coin. In fact, I am surprised that Stellar is keeping these levels of price even in these turbulent times where BTC and most other alts are struggling. This is an impressive symptom of strength.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BIG DUMP!!! But i am waiting the chance to get in for more! What do you think? on: January 26, 2018, 04:29:51 PM
The price is consolidating day after day. The likeness of a Major drop are slowly fading away, But we still could have a retesting of the lows.
256  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: January 26, 2018, 04:27:35 PM
$1000 is out of the question, unless a nuclear war unfolds. It would be 95% drop from ATH and this in the current market conditions is not plausible at all. Especially as the coin has now spend another week above 10,000$.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ETZ]EtherZero - Fork 1:1 of Ethereum | 0 TX Fee | Masternode | 10000+ TPS on: January 26, 2018, 04:23:01 PM
What happened to etherzero? everyone screaming about a scam? is this true? I am also a bit hesitant but there is no further fact about it.

I guess we just have to wait for all the dust to settle down and then, slowly and in now hurry, try to understand what the hell is going on with EtherZero.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin To Drop As Low As $1000 This Year on: January 22, 2018, 10:58:44 PM
There is absolutely no way to predict something like that. It's a possibility - this is all what you can say. As for the rest, it is just like playing dice. What's true is that drops of Bitcoin's price of this magnitude have already happened during Bitcoin's life, even though newcomers may ignore that. So it could well happen again. Or not.
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The Future of Currency is in Corporate Coins (Kodak Coin & Telegram ICO) on: January 22, 2018, 10:51:35 PM
Yes, you are having quite a point here, I agree on the forecast that we are heading towards a world with a plethora of coins, where every corporation will have theirs, and possibly even every celebrity - not sure about ordinary people though.
260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ETZ]EtherZero - Fork 1:1 of Ethereum | 0 TX Fee | Masternode | 10000+ TPS on: January 22, 2018, 10:40:44 PM
So the website says:

Quote
Hold the Private key, Keystore or Mnemonic Phrase:
We have found it was dangerous for people to import their private key into our website wallet or Meta Mask fork plugin to get EtherZero,so we will provide users a custom node to be added to MEW or Meta Mask to get ETZ, or you can add your notes.

Do not hold the Private key, Keystore or Mnemonic Phrase:
If your Ethereum is kept in a trading platform or those wallets which do not support the private key derivation, you can ask the trading platform or wallet to get EtherZero for you. The users can contact the trading platform or wallet providers, and ask how to process it.

Any (official) update?

edit:
Perhaps twitter? https://twitter.com/EtherZero_org/status/954304089831034880

Well, I guess that if the are adding a custom node to MEW this should be safe for people to redeem the ETZ, am I right? I don't know how exactly the node thing works, is there anyone with more technical skills who would answer?
