241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin Cash will take place of Bitcoin? on: September 15, 2018, 06:34:53 PM
Bitcoin cash was originally a fraudulent project. Who understands a little about the crypto currency get it. The lighting network solves all the problems of Bitcoin.

Based on what legal standard?
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you think Bitcoin Cash will take place of Bitcoin? on: September 06, 2018, 08:45:06 PM
How much can you integrate such terrible thoughts into the heads of investors? Well, how much will you do this? Is it not clear that bitcoincash is just a project for speculation and this project can not find application anywhere.

blah blah blah

- Significantly more merchant adoption from BCH then any other cryptocurrency. (pay your bills in Japan among thousands of stores and online merchants
- Nation adoption in cyprus, increasing merchant in Venezuela (ive seen so myself)
- Social Media Platforms for micro-transactions through content production on the blockcahian (yours.org, memo.cash, block-press)
- ICO platform released

Despite the fact I only care about merchant adoption as i'm heavily in favour of Bitcoin SV if BCH were to fork. To claim there is no application for Bitcoin Cash is a statement from someone who is either uniformed, or outright doesn't understand the concept of application for concurrency. The sole purpose of Bitcoin Cash is to be used in application of Global PEER TO PEER CASH, and no other concurrency can support global volume other than Bitcoin Cash.

Stop spreading incorrect facts, you're slowing down the process of humanity.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin vs Bitcoin Cash on: September 06, 2018, 03:46:14 AM
without doubt Bitcoin is still king. No other crypto is anywhere near it either in market volume or used by merchants and traders internationally.

Bitcoin Cash is just a fork of the original. As long as Ver and Wu are associated with BCH it will remain behind and fall further behind.

You do realize Jihan Wu makes 10 million dollars a day?

Bitcoin Cash is not ‘just a fork.’ Bitcoin Cash did what Bitcoin Core didn’t and raised the blocksize. Huge difference.

Bitcoin SV FTW

Bitcoin is capitalism, a free market by which anyone can compete for majority hashpower. This is how Bitcoin eliminates centralization.

The miners are doing the work and should be incentived for running the network. I do not see this narrative in the case of the Lightning Network or even Wormhole as ‘layer 2’ or ‘layer 0’ protocols.

Bitcoin SV FTW

In all fairness, anyone with a background in common law will understand that no one wants to be take ownership of being Satoshi Nakamoto.

Which bcash are they adding?

https://www.ethnews.com/the-potential-bitcoin-cash-hard-fork-explained

One week after celebrating the first anniversary of bitcoin cash's split from bitcoin, Bitcoin ABC laid the groundwork for another schism. On August 8, the full node, which nearly 2/3 of bitcoin cash nodes run on at any one time, published planned changes to the network's consensus protocols.

Craig Wright, one of the most prominent figures in the BCH community, didn't like them. As chief scientist for nChain, the self-described "global leader in research and development of blockchain technologies (  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes )," Wright's opinions carry weight with many bitcoin cash enthusiasts, despite (or perhaps because of) his assertions that he is Satoshi Nakamoto (!!!) .

So, nChain announced on August 16 that it would launch its own full node, Bitcoin SV (for Satoshi's Vision).

Holy cow the dude just won't let his who obsession with being Satoshi rest! He's convinced he's Satoshi yet he pisses himself when asked to prove it. The man is clearly mentally unstable, at best a narcissistic sociopath.

In all fairness, Craig Wright has not proven that he is not satoshi either.

Bitcoin cash also needs to apply for an ETF. I hope that in the near future, some organizations will apply for an ETF.

A Bitcoin Cash ETF will be released the same day as A BTC ETF along with ETH.

I assume ABC and nChain will go their seperate ways. Anyone have any information on this?

If Lukejr... If Back... If Vays...

Funny how you fell you need to trot out personalities - rather than discuss concrete aspects of the chains and the implementations built thereupon.

The difference is you have the two biggest douchebags in all of crypto doing everything they can to fud bitcoin and promote bcash, that's the difference.

Wright is a douchebag. He could never even admit outright that his entire "I am Satoshi" bit was an utter hoax. He's a sociopath who won't stop until the world addresses him as "God."

Ver is a douchebag. He uses his control of bitcoin.com to mislead people into buying bcash when they are trying to buy bitcoin. It took a lawsuit for him to stop his atrocious behavior.

Bitcoin doesn't need to resort to such tactics because it is the superior product.

But if you want to discuss "concrete aspects," let's discuss how the popularity of bcash is concretely waning while the popularity of bitcoin is concretely growing.

On January 1st, BTC had a 38% dominance of the total market cap while BCH had 7%.

Today, BTC has grown to a 52% dominance while BCH has slipped to 4.4%.

Now if BCH was seen as "better," "less speculation-based" or simply "more popular" than BTC, this percentage would be on the rise as it could be considered a relatively stable store of value. However, its % dominance has been on the decrease along with every other altcoin because BTC has proved it can scale to demand. The inherent utility over BTC that BCH proposes is no longer necessary because BTC has adapted and evolved to find ways to scale.

Really Roger should have come up with a more original name than "Bitcoin Cash" if he wanted it to succeed. It's confusing to new users and a blatant ripoff / coat-tail ride to veterans.

Speaking of douchebags
....

How much money have you donated/funded to the Crypto space?

Price will probably be cheaper tomorrow (sunday)

And V8 - What’s that, another shitcoin/shitfork? You gotta be kidding me?
I was not joking about this joke https://bitsonline.com/nchain-announces-bitcoin-sv-bch/
Quote
Bitcoin Cash (BCH) companies nChain and CoinGeek have announced the creation of “Bitcoin SV” — a new Bitcoin implementation that aims to prevent “unnecessary changes” to the original Satoshi Nakamoto protocol. However the move could further entrench current divisions within the BCH developer community, forcing miners to choose between different and soon-to-be incompatible versions of the full-node software.

BCH is such a shitshow, its getting "better" every day.  It looks like its a melting pot for the dumbes folkes from all other crypto communities and they all suffer from Dunning-Krueger really bad.

I see you've reached for the 'name calling precedent' in your argument.

A heavily played card in this debate.

Bitmain switches all it's miners over to bch and starts buying bch with the IPO money, the momentum would shift dramatically, some Bitcoin core die hard supporters might go down with the ship, but the vast majority of crypto investors don't treat the 2017 scaling war like a religion, they'll just follow the herd when it's obvious the flippening is first possible, then probable, then actually happening

I interpret this recent bitmain document release very differently,  it shows bitmain will likely have a war chest of all three resources they need to achieve their goal sometime soonish; bch reserves, IPO cash, miners ... I think bitmain is in a very powerful position now, I see dudes like Jimmy Song trying to spin bitmain as having failed at a peg in his videos, but imo bitmain will soon have everything they need to manipulate the price to something close to parity, and even if it's not popular at first, fear will take over enough traders already suffering  big losses from the bear market, and bingo, the herd moves to bch.

The bitmain finances show they are serious, there's just not enough financial backing on the other side with the same level of skin in the game, the big traders just want to make money, they're not emotionally attached like zealots on this forum, they'll move their money to the Bitcoin version that has price support and mining, and the bounty bitmain will reap from the accumulated bch could make them a trillion dollar company sooner than many think, a powerful incentive to go all in for the flippening.

Fascinating times!  Once it starts the early movers make money when they convert at the expense of those who delay, so once the momentum starts it could be quick!

bitmain have shot their bolt and thrown the kitchen sink and still failed and that was at a point where holders had free BCH so, as the advocates maintained at the time, they had 'nothing to lose' if it flipped.

now it's over a year since the fork and there'll be millions of people who don't have any of it and have no interest in owning it.

there is no one with any credibility involved with BCH. no financial institution has made any mention of BCH whatsoever. it gets virtually no press.

it was a one time shot at usurping bitcoin. it failed. there won't be another. that doesn't mean there won't be big ass pumps in future but its place in the firmament is set. if they let go of their obsession of 'becoming' bitcoin and concentrated on being a great coin they'll get alot further.

It’s really difficult to argue with such narcissistic people so sure of themselves to make sweeping generalizations. But if you think no one of any credibility is associated with BCH, you aren’t of competence to be arguing around here.

There’s ABC, Nchain, Bitcoin.com, Bitcoin.org, Bitmain....hell, even your mom.

Arthur Hayes, co-founder and CEO of BitMEX, on two separate occasions this year declared BTC will get to $50,000 in 2018

https://www.cnbc.com/2018/06/29/bitcoin-will-reach-50000-in-2018-says-founder-of-bitcoin-exchange.html

So who can see this happening?

yep i can see that

regulation stops adoption and other factors

but there is only one road for the blockchains

‘CEO of BitMex’ (BTC ONLY Exchange) says BTC will trade at $50,000 in ~4 months. Surely that’s in his best interest.

I think they need to fix scaling issues otherwise at that price Bitcoin will be more expensive then a Western Union.

BCH is the biggest threat to BTC and LN is the biggest threat to all of crypto. As BTC falls in this bear market it will give BCH plenty of chances to take marketshare and decouple.

and tell me there's anything credible about this coin at the moment.

they've tried every trick in the book. they all failed. looks like bitmain have thrown away hundreds of millions of dollars attempting it.

the best thing they can do is let nature take its course, keep working on the actual functionality of the coin and if it turns out great then the market will agree. smoke and mirrors will only get you so far.

Bitmain will use their IPO funds for the end game, the final assault, I think everything is going to plan!

what final assault?

Fascinating times!

Couldn’t agree more. People have taken good news for BCH and completely misinterpreted the facts. Jimmy Song is a perfect example in his Bitmain video yesterday. Jimmy Song along with Tone ‘No Brian’ Vays have said 1000 times  ‘I don’t care Bitcoin Cash, it will fail,’ despite his numerous videos strictly on the topic of Bitcoin Cash. You can see his hair is falling out more and more, that’s why he wears that’s stupid cowboy hat. Just pure fear of BCH.

Last time it was ‘BitPico’ saying they would atttack Bitcoin Cash.

They didn’t, they failed and instead they sold all their BTC (literally). Now no ones talking about them anymore.

And then there’s mymenace and his post above ‘no one here cares’ yet he’s actually the largest poster on this thread.

Simply people in denial.

Bitmain makes over 10 million dollars a day. Bitcoin Cash is nowhere close dead with a 9 billion dollar marketcap. Bitcore is dead and was never anything other than a few poor insignificant people trying to be funny.

Bitmain dumped their BTC for BCH at a good price and now they are having an IPO (Fiat) which will go straight to the buy support for BCH. On top of all this they just released wormhole so now the ICO wave may pick up for BCH. Where is the part where Bitcoin Cash has failed? Bitcoin Cash has literally just begun.

500 USD must hold at any costs. This psychological wall is essential.
Of course, there's nothing psychological for $ 500.  Smiley
This is a cryptocurrency market, not one of the financial markets, you're confused.

Perhaps they are psychological after all?  Wink
