244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: What crypto is the best to start with on: October 31, 2017, 10:41:31 PM
hey guys im a bit new to this im wondering wich crypto is the best to start with if i wanna mine... my graphic card is  a Nvidia gforce Gtx970
Hello and welcome.

None if you only have one GPU, especially if it's an old one such as the 970. I don't recommend mining until you have well over 100k invested into crypto. And even then, mining is only worth a though if you pay 3-5 cents per KWH. Otherwise don't bother, since you won't be able to compete with the industrial scale mining farms (they drive the price down to the break even point).

thanks. i guess i should focus on the other thing my roomate told me about, the one where you just leave ur wallet always open and at some point i get a pay out im still reading on the subject but thanks for your honestly guys
That's called "Proof of Stake" (PoS) "mining". With that you get an amount that depends on how many coins you have in your wallet. So the more coins you have, the larger your reward will be. Of course that also means that if you have few coins you won't be making a lot.

If you speak multiple languages you could also look into translation bounties for earning some extra coins if that's your thing though. But the most profitable way of increasing your wealth is through investing, so I recommend reading up a lot. If you're strong at Mathematics this will be very easy for you, otherwise you'll have to study a bit harder, but in the end it'll be worth it. I would only go this way if it's interesting to you though, there's nothing worse than doing something you hate just because it makes money.

Yeah, If you have enough coins at your balance and reliable project you are able to make profit fith PoS 'mining'.
PoS is a method of protection in the cryptocurrency which based on the need of evidence storage a certain amount of funds. The algorithm of cryptocurrency are more likely to choose to confirm the next block in the chain account with plenty of funds by using this method.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Mining Pool Hub - Multipool. Multialgo, Auto Exchange to any coin. on: October 31, 2017, 10:23:15 PM
With bitcoin gold going to equihash, I'd hope that we add the other equihash coins to compliment zcash mining since lately zencash has een flip flopping between most profitable against ethereum for me.  I know this was in a to do list for the owner, but perhaps we can get this moved up a bit.

Actually I don't like to open pool for bitcoin gold because of its too big storage usage and lack of source maturity
They did not even launch working wallet yet.

BTG looks like a joke!

the same opinion. I don't want to take a part in it too. Maybe later, even though after working product announcement.

248  Other / Off-topic / Re: Crypto Currency Youtubers on: October 19, 2017, 10:44:07 AM
great idea! about interesting content - maybe some ICO market review (with ICO-makers interview) will be nice, because so many projects grow every day. Also news, predictions, analitics, helpful tips. But for me most important is the authority (experience, fame) of the blogger. Because I have to trust him
249  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Physical Bitcoin on: October 19, 2017, 10:35:24 AM
Sounds weird, man. If you want smth physical what about BTC credit card, like VISA or another?
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How much coins to expect from bounties? on: October 19, 2017, 10:28:37 AM
It totally depends upon the ICO team. Usually bounty campaigns offer stakes per week . For example if a bounty campaign says it has allocated 10000 tokens for its bounty campaign and the campaign will run for 4 weeks , then 10000 tokens will be distributed among the bounty participants in 4 weeks. As for the stakes, for example  if you are a junior member you will receive 0.5 stake per week. After the end of four weeks, bounty manager will add up your four weeks stakes. ie  0.5 stake X 4 weeks = 2 stakes. When the campaign end, just imagine  there are total 1000 stakes earned by all participants in the bounty campaign. So your tokens for four weeks will be calculated like this - 100,00 tokens / 1,000 stakes = 100 tokens per stake. Now you have 2 stakes, you will receive 100 tokens X 2 stakes = 200 tokens. hope you understood.
totally helpful explonation, thank you
251  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the most common uses of Bitcoin? on: October 19, 2017, 09:39:43 AM
The most common - investments & trading, in addition really popular in hotels, hosting providers and gambling sites. I strongly belive the situation will change and more sellers will accept crypto-currencies - we already have many projects aimed at development of crypto payment cards, terminals, e-stores so we have all chances
252  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You Can Now Spend Your Bitcoins In Shops! on: October 19, 2017, 09:17:38 AM

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mining on Mobile Phone on: October 19, 2017, 09:10:34 AM
As far as I know real mining on smartphones cann't be done now - too many resources would be required from the device. Projects developing such apps  successfully create only appearance of mobile mining, but in fact it is rather cloud mining. In another way, it doesn't work out yet

256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: 3 kinds of ICOs — Protect yourself on: October 18, 2017, 11:22:17 AM
In general, there is a reason in your words. I just want to add from my own experience that it is important how the team responds to technical questions and questions about comparing with other projects - do they really know their competitors and their project?
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [NEWS] Russia will begin regulating cryptocurrency mining on: October 18, 2017, 11:08:00 AM
I think there will be a lot of Russia regulation in the future.

Every country will do as same as Russia.

Cryptocurrency will be finally follow regulation

Maybe not the same though..
On the same site there is a news story about Russia fining the program Telegram for not handing over user data.
This is typical with China / Russia and other dictatorships / communist regimes.
UK/US/CAN etc would probably handle things differently.. we don't roll tanks down on students. (like China did)
I fully agree with you. Regulation should and will be over time in all countries. But not in the same way as in Russia and China - there is a feeling that they ban everything that they don't understand and actually don't want to understand. Well, that's what to change? Whoever wants to, will still use (VPN, other services), as happens with Telegram.
I heard that in Russia VPN is also prohibited, but how will they track it?
meaningless solutions
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Altcoins really have a future? on: October 18, 2017, 09:18:22 AM
why not? altcoin has many different types and different price variations and functional. Bitcoin is not ideal.

Hah, I would like to join them one day. But I understand that this is not so simple - you need to constantly know the latest news, monitor the development of the market, for new projects, assess risks - this is the real work, I think
