242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is bitcoin legal??? on: February 23, 2018, 08:55:42 PM
Bitcoin is of interest to law enforcement agencies, tax authorities, and legal regulators, all of which are trying to understand how the cryptocurrency fits into existing frameworks. The legality of your bitcoin activities will depend on who you are, where you live, and what you are doing with it.

We all agree that Bitcoin isn't legal yet but it is getting the attention because people are starting to know about Bitcoin. In fact because it is accepted by the world, the government is afraid that it will be used for illegal activities. Once the regulation is set, I am sure bitcoin will become legal.
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Important ICO lesson: Cash out your initial investment on: February 23, 2018, 08:37:20 PM
So Ive learnt it the hard way. If youre in profits for an ICO you participated and youre waiting for it to moon further, there is no harm in waiting but pull out your initial investment

This will:

1) Put you in a no-loss out of pocket situation

2) Your risk is now out of your profits

3) Its Moon or dump from here, so be patient!

You are right. The issue i have with many investors is that they don't have an exit strategy. The issue with thinking about the moon is that you can trade like a day dreamer. Risking your investment because one believes that they will be super rich; there has to be a balance and this can be achieved with an exit strategy.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How was your experience in joining bounty or airdrop? on: February 23, 2018, 08:28:31 PM
Hey everyone!

I am very new to joining airdrops. I just wanna know if you had experience joining into some ICOs but did not receive your expected tokens? Or what was your first tokens that you received?

My first received token was very rewarding experience, still counting other and tracking my airdrops atm.

Can you share some of your experiences about this matter?

thank you!

I have received very rewarding coins in the crypto space and I have also received some crappy coins too. In fact some of the airdrops i received, were just given to me without any participation. Also there were some ICOs i joined that I was cheated with the tokens but i realized that such is life.
245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why invest in ICO?If after the sale of the tokens, 90% of them lose their value? on: February 23, 2018, 08:19:16 PM
Why invest in ICO? If after the sale of the tokens, 90% of them lose their value !? Is not it better to wait until the official sale of tokens is completed and then buy them on Etherdelta?

Yes you are right but there are some ICO that give benefits to those who participate in the token sale. For instance Bitjob gave airdrops to those who participated in the token sale and not those that bought from exchanges. There are many ICOs that give preference to those who participate in the token sale.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: KYC for ICO buyers and bounty hunters? Better KYC for ICO & Bounties issuers! on: February 23, 2018, 08:12:05 PM
The tendence is rising to legally impose a KYC (Know Your Customer) procedure to people willing to buy tokens at an ICO. At the same time there have been rumors a KYC possibly to be imposed also to bounty hunters taking part to bounty campaigns. Polymath has already imposed a KYC procedure to anyone willing to receive its airdrop.
I'm not entering here the discussion, which has already been made in countless other threads, if those KYC are a good or a bad idea.
But I'd like to open here a discussion whether it wouldn't be more appropriate to start instead with making KYC a mandatory procedure for people who are actually launching an ICO and/or a bounty campaign, rather than for those who take part to them. This is in fact the case where most scams and more damage are happening. Anonymous teams are now and then still scamming investors and bounty hunters luring them into projects which are only a simulation of projects. The infamous ICO & bounty campaign "C" just a few months ago, just to name one (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2494912). But I could make a long list.
Personally I'd rather endlessly defend the right of anyone of staying anonymous in the world of crypto as well as in the world in general. But IF one decides to introduce limitations to this right (which I don't approve), THEN wouldn't it be more fair to start the other way round, prioritizing the verification of identity of those who are in the position to take advantage of their anonymity to scam or damage the public?

Now a lot of bounty hunters have been asking the reason why KYC is necessary . I believe that as long as bounty hunters are not scammers, they should share their information because they are also part of a project even though they don't pay any amount of money. Regulations are hard on ICOs that don't  perform KYC so bounty hunters should be ready to fill many KYC
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptos with a cause on: February 22, 2018, 09:24:06 PM
I know that Stellar is looking to expand access to low-cost financial services to fight poverty. Are there other cryptos out there with missions like this?

We have got coins like Lala world that intend to help the migrants all over the world. Then there is Jesus coin that has the mission of helping too. In short the ICO all have the intention of making everyone rich.
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WePower (WPR) Airdrop (200 WPR) on: February 22, 2018, 09:21:48 PM

Heard about Wepower but it is interesting to note that they are creating a bounty to get votes on Binance which is a huge exchange. Good luck to the project

NEO Could Surpass Bitcoin By The Year 2019

By Simon Chester on   February 20, 2018 2 Comments   / 6648 views
NEO is a Chinese technology which marries the concept of the smart economy and cryptocurrency. It’s a cutting-edge player which looks set to become a cornerstone of the Chinese economy in the future – and as China continues to go from strength to strength as a world superpower, this essentially means that NEO will also become a major league global cryptocurrency in its own right with unparalleled real-world potential.

At the time of writing, NEO is currently the seventh-strongest cryptocurrency at $134.28USD. From an investment perspective, it makes perfect sense. This is because with NEO, the buyer also accumulates another crypto; Gas. That’s right – by simply holding NEO, the investor will incrementally receive Gas, which is tied in closely with China’s biggest Crypto. Gas can be spent in much the same way as any other cryptocurrency, and essentially demonstrates the confidence China has in NEO.

Revolutionary

Neo Crypto Logo on Moon With Bright Light

NEO is linked to smart contracts and artificial intelligence powered by the blockchain – any investment essentially funds these revolutionary technologies, which is precisely the reason why developers and investors are turning to NEO:

These emerging technological advancements are more exciting and forward-thinking than Bitcoin, which despite its recognition does not have the same real-world applications as newer currencies like NEO. While Bitcoin has brand-recognition, as the most renowned cryptocurrency it tends to suffer from over-inflation, whereas NEO’s reputation is based completely on what it is capable of being used for.

Bitcoin killer

As the public consciousness adapts to cryptocurrency technologies, NEO could easily become the Bitcoin slayer. Given China’s economic prowess and continuing technological advancement, NEO’s overtaking of the rest of the big five coins is only a matter of time – when it eventually topples Bitcoin remains to be seen, but some experts are predicting that it will become the cryptocurrency of choice for many traders as soon as 2019.

Indeed Neo is one of the best coins in the world but it will never be able to replace bitcoin because bitcoin is more like a revolution and it has a strong awareness all over the world. This does not mean that NEO might not be able to be better than bitcoin, it cant take the place of bitcoin
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to create a bounty campaign? on: February 22, 2018, 08:32:45 PM
I am new here and want to know that how can I create bounty campaign for  my ICO and what are benefits of running a bounty campaign??

The advantages for having a bounty campaign is to increase awareness in the crypto community. It is cool to have your ICO but i do hope that your ICO is going to solve a problem rather than being used for pumps
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your trading plan? on: February 22, 2018, 08:28:34 PM
What are the strategies that you use for take more profit whether you are in short term trading or long term trading ?

My strategy is hodl for the long term at least for a year. I am not very cool with short term trading because it is stressful looking at the PC all day. I have had success with trading long term
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Do you think this year will be Red? on: February 22, 2018, 08:25:26 PM

Do you have any good reason to believe that the crypto market is going to grow this year? Do you think we may end up in all red? I do not see the growth and happy investing of last years.

I dont think the market will end in red . I do believe that it will be bullish this year. Besides crypto or even markets comprise of ups and downs. So thiis is not new at all. I believe that we will soon be smiling
253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to buy the best ICOs on: February 22, 2018, 08:22:29 PM
New member but a long term BT follower. Recently got into buying ICOs and wanted to know how is everyone buying ICOs these days? Seems almost impossible to buy in crowdsale, due to gas war, over subscribed, etc, etc! I have recently bought MatrixAI through this telegram pooling group: https://t.me/thekryptofactor

Does anybody have anymore groups they are aware of and can help me out?

Looking for an ICO to join, there are so many and i see that people are making suggestions on the thread about airdrops. For me, i guess the bounty bitcoin talk thread is great . You should start from there
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you imagine the future of Bitcoin? Lets me know your opinion. on: February 21, 2018, 06:41:13 PM
I an carious about this issues. So please share your idea or information about it. Its my pleasure if anyone reply my thred Smiley

Well what you should know is that bitcoin is going to compete head on with gold as an asset. The adoption of bitcoin might seem small but the adoption rate is increasing so quickly. Bitcoin will be the revolution and change to how we spend money in the world

258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops: Titanic of the Crypto World? on: February 13, 2018, 10:11:23 AM
Every Company or business is looking for a way to get investments. With ICOs is possible for a company to raise a huge amount of money which he might not have been able to raise in traditional markets. Airdrops have been used to get investors attention, i do believe that with time, there will be best practices to raise funds in the crypto space. For now lets see how things play out

260  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is KYC?Why do you need KYC in buying ICO? on: February 13, 2018, 09:50:52 AM

    1.WHAT IS KYC?

"KNOW YOUR COSTUMER" means the process of the identification of the client.Token holder will be required to provide with his/her personal data, after token/coin purchased will be sent to the wallet that the user put in his account.

    2. WHY DO YOU NEED KYC?

Although the phrase "know your customer"may seem insignificant to a lot of people ,it has a very important meaning in the business world. If particular companies want to interact with other partners in the industry, however, they really have no choice. KYC allows companies to protect themselves by ensuring that they are doing business legally and with legitimate entities, and it also protects the individuals who might otherwise be harmed by financial crime.

KYC is a defensive mechanism for both the company and the clients. By sharing this data, all the token holders confirm that they are the true owners of their personal accounts and the wallet,to which the company send tokens. It will grant that you are the person that receive your tokens.

     SUMMARY

KYC  IS NOT A THING TO BE FEARED OF,COMPANIES NEED THAT FOR THE SECURE DEVELOPMENT OF THEIR BUSINESS AND FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR INVESTMENTS AS
    WELL.

HOPE IT HELPS..LET ME KNOW YOUR COMMENTS AND IDEA GUYS ABOUT DOING KYC IN ANY ICO.

Well you know that people have issue with KYC being introduced to Cryptocurrency because it defeats the purpose of anonymity . However with all the scams and frauds that are taking place in the crypto space, it is necessary to have a safety net to protect investors. This is why KYC is now compulsory
