241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: the end of crypto? on: October 23, 2018, 03:46:00 AM
Hello
I had more than 700k of crypto and now it's turned into 24k dollard that I do not hesitate to sell everything and go to something else and on one side I think I must hodl! Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh Huh

That is a huge loss, about 96% and how could that happen? Most losses are only 90%, man that's crazy and I think pretty impossible. The fact that you are investing a lot of money, maybe with due diligence you did your own research or spent some bucks for someone to do the research. This post is pretty untrue.

In my opinion you should wait until the bull market crashes again.

Your post is skeptical, at first you are suggesting for him to have faith on his coins but on the last part you drop him off LOL
242  Economy / Services / Re: I will pray for you! (literally) on: October 22, 2018, 05:06:17 AM
Since this post is posted on "Bitcointalk" at the services board, maybe this is crypto related. Have you have in mind to conduct an ICO with it? To have a praying platform on the blockchain with your prayers accessible to everyone by looking up it's hash?
Sounds cool right?
243  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bawal ang Cryptocurrency sa Security Bank on: October 22, 2018, 04:54:10 AM
Advice for all: never tell your bank anything they don't need to know. If they ask, make up a story.

On my experience, I did also make up a story but not that convincing so I end up telling the truth para mas madali. Ang problema ko po kasi sa "story" ko is hinahanapan ako ng kaunting proof and wala akong proof na maipakita, all I got was remittance center receipts which come from coins.ph.

244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Successful of ETH from all altcoins. on: October 20, 2018, 05:32:44 AM
Hello a lot of altcoins or ICO is from ethereum platform, and then people have other coin can sell to ethereum. Ethereum will be successful because of this happens. The other people don't know about ethereum but because he/she have coin and can be trade on ethereum he can recognize about ethereum. So ethereum have more marketcap after that happen.

Ethereum indeed is the 2nd highest in terms of marketcap so what are you trying to say? I think you are pointing out something that we all know like that is how ethereum works. Also, ICO means initian coin offering and it would vary on what blockchain network that coin would run but most of the coins/tokens that are conducting ICO's offers different type of currencies for investors ofc including ethereum.

Ethereum is a great coin indeed, but I'm worried about those ICOs that could collapse. What would happen if 2 - 3 or more ICOs would fail, wouldn't this cause a tsunami to the other ICOs? Then the price of Ethereum would go down and eventually affect other crypto's price too. The smart contract is a great invention indeed, but good things and evil ones go together. Unfortunately, there is no an investment without a small risk.

ICO tsunami effect is not a thing. ICO's come and go, sh*tcoins stay and ethereum has nothing to deal with it and that won't affect it's price. ICO are far from ethereum because ethereum is used for ethereum network transactions, creating dApps, smart contracts, and fast payments with low fees wherein ICO's are Initial Coin Offering that is not yet running on the blockchain and is trying to gather funds to fulfill a certain project.

245  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bawal ang Cryptocurrency sa Security Bank on: October 20, 2018, 05:23:51 AM
Ask lang hindi ba pag nag cash out sa coins.ph thru security bank  atm cardless naman yun and convert to peso mo yung btc muna bago o cashout? Need pa ba magopen ng account aa security bank?

Clarifications lang po anyone?

Kung cardless, no need to open an account with security bank.  Smiley

246  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Giving Eth To Receive Eth Scam on: October 17, 2018, 03:53:50 AM
My question is, what do you suggest we can do to prevent our friends and family from falling prey into such scam? Do you use any software or add-on to block fake accounts from appearing on your Twitter timeline?

It's a social media, what do you expect? If someone posted that way, that is his/her rights. If there is something to cheat on you, then you would be cheated, no bots could stop that.

use your brain, or close your twitter account.

Sounds rude but true. Slap him with the reality

If you get scammed by things like that, I'm sorry to say but you deserve it. A little bit of common sense can go a long way.

Common sense nowadays are not too common.

You don't need to be stupid to fall for a scam - same as being religious.  You just need to be gullible

Makes sense. Best comment for the thread
247  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Sleep vs Cryptos (or vice versa) on: October 17, 2018, 03:38:18 AM
Are you getting less sleep since your involvement in cryptos started? Has it pushed you into insomnia? Has it changed your sleeping patterns? What do you do to stay afloat?

I am certainly getting less sleep since my involvement in cryptos started. It is affecting my sleeping patterns in the sense that I no longer have fixed hours I go to bed every night (or in the mornings I should say). I do try to catch up on sleep - even during odd hours, but it is easier said than done with unscheduled emergencies and what not. That being said, it is certainly not a healthy situation - and will impact my health negatively if left unchecked. I can't help to wonder how many of you are experiencing the same challenge and what you're doing to address it - if anything at all. Tips and suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you.

Been there, done that. I was like you but I think I've got to solve it by not chasing money/profits anymore, (Correct me if I'm wrong) the thing that you are always awake is because you want better profits out of your investments, I suggest that do the research and bet big on that project, 3-5 projects that you think have the greatest potential, that is diversification and costs you lesser time on crypto, creating higher rewards with lower risk, create a healthy lifestyle. Whatever your reason is for being awake, just remember, YOLO and "Health is wealth".

Not at all.

I sleep when i'm dead tired and wake up after a good rest.

I just see this post "Savage af" LOL
248  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: NEXT SLEEPING GIANT on: October 16, 2018, 05:19:38 AM
Pure speculation. Not shilling but I am holding this coin so DYOR and don't take my opinion as a financial advice  Grin

I'm placing my bet on LoyalCoin, their use cases are for Loyalty rewards and as of the moment big merchants are now partnering with them (most of them are from the Philippines). They are running on NEM Blockchain, for fast and secure transactions, they also have a great team so improvements are an easy word, though they have a lot of supply "9,000,000,000" LYL in total, I think with their use cases, it's value could rise.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Good day for arbitraging on: October 16, 2018, 05:03:32 AM
Browsing through blockfolio, the wide contrast in prices of bitcoin on different exchanges presents a huge opportunity arbitrage traders to make profits.

From Coinbase to bitfinex and Bittrex  bitcoin's value is spread widely. And it seems to all be down to the implosion of tether.

Maybe there is a widespread of prices between exchanges but the fact that "Fees and transaction time" are quite a hindrance, your possible profits for that arbitrage would dramatically low down or worst case, you might loss some of your BTC possessions. If the spread are like 1% per BTC then more likely you need to trade bigger volume to get profits from your trade.
250  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Fidelity announces a new company that will handle cryptocurrency custody on: October 16, 2018, 04:55:50 AM
Fidelity announces a new company called Fidelity Digital Asset Services that will handle cryptocurrency custody and trade execution for institutional investors .

The new company will handle custody, or how to safely store digital assets.

By the credibility of the company itself, this is undeniably a great NEWS for the crypto community but how does this one differ from ETF? Does this one also needs a SEC approval like those VanEck SolidX ETF? Im really curious about this and wondering how this could happen.
251  Local / Pilipinas / Re: HUWAG MONG SAYANGIN ANG TIME MO NA DI KA MATUTO DITO SA BITCOINTALK ng Bitcoin on: October 15, 2018, 11:05:48 AM

To GOD be the GLORY!!

252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: how traders keep their crypto? on: October 15, 2018, 10:42:04 AM
how you guys keep your crypto when do trading?

leave it in exchange wallet? Isn't it too risky?
Store in a hot or cold personal wallet? isn't it too annoying to transmit every time?

Yes it is risky. And yes it is annoying to transfer funds everytime you trade because you are an active trader. Solution?
On my own opinion, when trading actively, just follow and get the most security out of the exchange you are trading. More probably they have 2FA, email verification and stuff so you just maximize that. Also ask their live support so they could help you to add security for your account if you are trading huge volume.
253  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Exchange account management with professional trader. Need advice on: October 15, 2018, 10:21:22 AM
What do you think about the idea of giving access via API to your exchange account to a professional trader (who shows profits even in this hard times)

I don't have any idea what is a professional crypto trader was like but the fact that he "might" be a professional, he won't handle small funds to trade and would ask a lot of BTC to start. I think you are pointing out traders that are with the same caliber with J.P. Morgan or Goldman Sachs traders? "Professional it is"

The bot stopped working properly and pumped the price into 1BTC from 0.0001BTC or around that.

So it was profitable? seems unclear because the fact that "The bot stopped working properly" but still be able to "pumped the price into 1BTC from 0.0001BTC or around that". What really happens with this? Interesting  Grin
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Video call for KYC verification on: October 15, 2018, 10:06:51 AM
Video call for kyc verification?? Is it possible? Do you think it is the best way , rather than uploading your documents for kyc verification process? Most bounty campaigns and ICOs nowadays required a kyc.

If video call for Kyc verification is possible, what is the best and secure app to you use for video call

Video Call KYC Verification is not possible, it takes more time than the usual, takes more manpower to cater all participants of the KYC and unnecessary for old KYC is great, even though KYC at the moment is not yet regulated that privacy might be an issue. And for the secure app, none? It would risk more participants rather than the usual one which just takes you to submit your photos.

I am thinking how that is going to work, if it is what i am thinking then it means the ICO team will have to attend to every ICO investor video call and bounty hunters as well? Video call for KYC in my own opinion is not achievable.

That is a lot of work. There are assessments before approving someone's KYC and what the company wants I think is documents, you cannot present videos on the bank.

This is how banks kill their competitions.

During the interview I was asked about my sources of income and the interviewer asked me if I am involved with Bitcoin and similar things and I honestly said yes but pointed out that this account is for PayPal and not for cryptocurrency transactions.

Ang reason na binigay ng interviewer is that the Central Bank has warned them about Bitcoin and similar business transactions as banks are not authorized to handle the same and if ever I am caught depositing or sending money from Bitcoin encashment to my account then the bank can forfeit the same money that's why the warning.

Totoo rin ata to sa iba pang bangko lalo na yung mga sikat at malalaki though I was able to deposit money to my Metrobank account before from Coins.Ph.

Kaalaman muna, bago pera.

Got all the knowledge, money would follow.

Quote

Nag bigay ka ng awareness, sapat na iyon and I congratulate you for that.

Quote

260  Economy / Reputation / Re: Faulty Bounty Portal/Managers that you must avoid on: October 07, 2018, 02:27:52 AM
I think a reputable bountyportal must make sure that there is no problem with their website because users information and custom content they create for bounty are stored.

Indeed they should. I remember back then when Irfan_Pak10 run the very first automated social media bounty campaign portal he called BountyPortals, after some campaigns have ended, we see many participants complain about not getting any rewards, or missing stakes. Irfan did addressed the issue and take time to fix his bounty platform. It was a good move did by it's founder. Nowadays, there are plenty of bounty platforms anybody could join but some are still missing a crucial feature; transparency. No participants would be able to tell if how many participants is involved, the entire bounty pool allocated to the bounty campaign or how the rewards are calculated per participant.

Also the fact that they could change the regulations and just disqualify anyone without warnings or notice prior to that because they like to do it is unjustifiable. All rules regarding bounties are now in favor of those who conduct such things for the rules are always on their favor and there is no existing escrow for that, maybe that is an action to be done since "bounty" or this "marketing job" is pretty demanding and could help big time for those start-ups that would run in the blockchain.
