Even hints of further progress are pushing the price 20% I agree that the coins are to well dispersed for there to be any major artificial pump, but on the other hand once this project gets moving there will be no way to stop it.

It's been an interesting month. Monero has had an epic run, but without any fundamental change in the project I think we can all conclude that this has more to do with bagholder liquidation than any real paradigm shift in the way monero is being used.
It also coincides very nicely with news of zero coins imminent release.
Remember it was the original discussion of zero coins papers that got us all hyped on anon coins in the first place. I remember back to those original discussions, and for me it was the excitement over zero coin that led me to buying my first monero.
There may be one or two more small pumps in monero before zcoin is released, but this looks like a perfect opportunity to short.

On a side note to your earlier post, it is laughable to consider this thread as an announcement thread when there is clearly no information about vcash written anywhere in the original post. Veiling smooth's contempt for John-connor behind some altruistic argument of censorship is ridiculously. Smooth only created this thread as a way to distract the bitcointalk community.
Maybe he should have called this thread AN UNMODERATED DISCUSSION ABOUT JOHN-CONNOR AND MONERO'S PISSING MATCH....
of which I'm sure smooth and the gang would clearly win being that the monero trolls dominate bitcointalk through shear repetitive will.
Not saying it's a bad strategy when used to create price manipulation and promotion, but in the end I think very few groups have done more to damage the crypto reputation on the whole.

I have no problem with moderation in announcement sections of bitcointalk. So often this section is used by full troll/shills drowning out every useful piece of information posted there.
Altcoin discussion is the place for unmoderated threads.
Smooth opened this thread as an avenue for his monero nation to keep repeating their same comments, for the purpose of drowning out John-connor announcements.
The link I posted is just the link to the weekly updates that John is working on or has completed and has nothing to do with moderated/ unmoderated conversations.

people which are selling cheap now will cry, people holding some months will get rich. Now the price is a little rising, 29k now. Maybe the price will be lower in next days. I think you guys arent seeing the project for what it is. Stop worrying about price so much. the waves platform has so much to offer the crypto community as a whole. Yes I agree, the ICO was overbought, 6000 people jumped on board and invested in this idea, that means that there was very little post ICO investors that hadnt already bought into the idea, it also meant that all those that participated in the ICO got a fair price because no one entity could manipulate the price quickly because no one investor held enough of the marketshare to artificially push the price. But what did we the ICO buyers all put money into it for? we invested because waves has an idea that WE want to see fulfilled!!!! its time to stop just using our crypto on exchanges giving them full control of the power of blockchain. Its time we found a place where we have the control. and if waves succeeds (and now they have the funding to do so) we will finally be able to see this dream fulfilled. projects like incent are hopefully just the start. if waves continues making partnerships and builds this platform to allow for all ideas to be able to access funds to create a crypto space that has utility and versatility without the need of centralised exchanges, we can finally move into the phase of crypto acceptance. will this make holding waves tokens profitable? who knows, but remember that if it makes the whole crypto realm more useable, then in the end it will make holding crypto more profitable. cheers I agree WAVES shouldn't be thought of as another currency. It is the backbone of a shifting view on how crypto currencies should be used. Hopefully WAVES can finally create a mature crypto environment. |

Can anyone tell me when or how would I be able to move NXT assets to Waves. Is there any info for NXT asset issuers that want to move to waves?

once asset exchange is released you should be able to switch from NXT asset to waves asset. is there any estimate on when should be waves asset exchange working? Atleast very rough estimates? First comes full node testnet, then comes breaker bounty. Then full node release. Think asset exhange/gateways gets integrated right after that. My guess would be late October/ hopefully mycelium integration happens right after that!!! |

Looks like Sasha and the team are finally ready to get this project running. I love that he came through on the waves weekly video showing the team at work.
Also I like that that it was done with English voice, to often crypto projects are released and polished with Americanized English accents.

I would like to know what went wrong with Poloniex. Was there a conflict? I’ve contacted them, and have had regular communication with them for several years. When we started Waves, I started writing them. I used the contacts I had, so several emails that I had from them. I thought, ‘if there was some reason they did not want it, then that reason is unknown to me,’ because no one told me anything. I don’t want to guess. Other exchanges came, for example Bittrex. They said, ‘We are interested so we will list Waves.’ We said ‘ok’ because they couldn’t do it on their own. As you know we don’t have an open network yet, so we had to prepare a node. So we did it for them. Then, Poloniex changed their mind and came to us the day Bittrex was launching Waves. Ok, no problem, we were providing everything to them. We gave them everything, and they stopped communication. I don’t know why, and guys, I don’t really want to guess. I don’t care about that so much. I’m sorry, but it’s true. But ok, it’s up to them. What I really think is that exchanges have too much value within the crypto-community. There needs to be a decentralized approach that would reduce risks. Everyone knows what happens to exchanges, to Bittrex, and to almost all exchanges. I don’t remember an exchange that didn’t have issues. There has to be a way to decouple the crypto-community from exchanges. As part of the Waves Platform, we will have an approach that combines the benefits of centralized exchanges with the benefits of blockchain technology. It will be trustless. It allows you to not have to send your money to anybody. You will have access to your funds while at the same time trading them. This approach, an instant exchange I think is important. We want to have centralized matching with decentralized order settlement that will be a kind of competition to existing exchanges. I don’t have anything against exchanges; they can integrate this technology too, when it’s ready. There has to be an alternative at this stage. Its become quite ridiculous; they can do whatever they want; be hacked. We’re working on it. If Poloniex decides finally to list us, I will be happy. I don’t have anything against them. It's summer so some people are on vacation, which makes things slower Coinomat developer returns next week, and we'll make an official ann." Was hashocean, hashie not a scam because they had a functioning website. What about the multitude of ICO scams that produced functioning code but only enough to pass criteria and steal your money? I just like to call out traders who use the word scam without any backing evidence... in the real world you would get sued for slander, but all we can do here is tell you to back up accusations. If you can't then all you have is FUD.. and if you don't even try the rest of us assume your probably just trying to fill a short order using deplorable tactics.
