Is this coin worth mining?
You can check it like this. Check hashrate of your hardware: http://monerobenchmarks.info/The hashrate is same for intense because it use cryptonight algo which is same as monero. Go to a mining pool like http://itns.intensepool.net/Enter your hashrate in "Estimate Mining Profits" form. As an example I get 500 H/s with my Ryzen 7 1700 CPU so I enter 0.5 kH/s in the form. The response right now is 1088 ITNS/day. This value is changing depending on mining difficulty but it is an estimate of the profit right now. Check the value of ITNS on stocks.exchange Right now 1 ITNS has been can be sold for 0.00000018 BTC (highest buying bid) 1088 ITNS = 1088 * 0.00000018 BTC = 0.00019584 BTC Check value of 1 BTC https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/1 BTC = $6930 1088 ITNS = $6930 * 0.00019584 = $1.36 There is better hardware like AMD Vega 56 GPU that with tweaking can get 2000 H/s. As Always you have to think of price of electricity, Power draw and price of hardware. If you beleive the value of the Intense coin will rise in future it might be even more profitable to mining and holding the coins. But so far has mining been quite profitable. Ok I got a 1070, and according to the site it says I should get 500 H/s. ( same as you ) I guess the profit is the same as ZCASH. I have to read up more on this, not sure if I should change. thx I get 700 H/s with my GTX 1070 (overclocked memory and lowered Power limit). Go to list benchmarks, nvidia highest to lowest you can see that 700 H/s (or a bit more) is possible. I use xmrig-nvidia mining software (you can lower fee to 1% in settings because 5% default is too much) Edit: My GTX 1060 3GB get around 500 H/S. Another thing to consider is that Power draw mining intense (or monero) is lower than Zcash. My cards runs with a lower temperarure when mining and I can lower the fan speed a bit if I want.

I'd like to know this about master nodes aswell. Please aproove or correct his statement.
@ronnylov as andrew2k mentioned chain sometimes gets stuck for a while, in meantime it seems impossible to mine a block. After it starts functioning normally your calculation should preety much cover actual yeld. I'm putting two of mine dl580g7 to this project, 200kH/s so far. Keep up the good work devs, I really like the idea.
His calculations are correct and your statement is just as true. Once the network will start functioning normally, after a few updates, the rewards you will get in real life will be just as in theory. Currently, because the blockchain gets stuck from time to time, transactions get delayed and the daily rewards for mining and MN are smaller than they should be.
Thanks! I also noticed that the blockchain gets stuck from time to time. I will just keep my miner running and see what happens. I won some blocks tonight so it seems to work for now. I will just lower my expectations a bit knowing that it can get stuck. When the blockchain problems are fixed I think mining difficulty will rise as well but so far CPU mining profitability seems not to be worse than other CPU minable coins. Masternode seems to be a nice feature. I guess that many master nodes will help the blockchain so it is a good thing. Maybe I will try it in future when I have earned more credits.

Masternode reward: 1 CRDS.
How often is this reward for master node payed?
Another question: Can mining be done by the daemon creditsd without having to start the qt GUI wallet?
I think I can answer myself. 1 CRDS / block is shared to all masternodes? According to my wallet there is 158 master nodes. 675/158 = 4 CRDS / day to a master node. That would be something like 31% / year income of the 5000 CRDS needed for a master node? Correct me if I am wrong. Yes mining was started when starting creditsd if I enabled mining in the file credits.conf gen=1 genproclimit=8 #Enables mining with 8 threads And now I have also tried mining with my Ryzen 7 1700 CPU. I got 47.5 kH/s without any overclocking (compiling wallet from source code on Arch Linux). But now I have bad luck finding blocks...

Is this correct way to calculate mining profit? First I check block Explorer: http://explorer.crds.co/richlistNetwork 1.79 MH/s Difficulty 0.08888 According to ANN: POW blocks: 675 / day Block reward: 10 CRDS So 1.79 MH/s total hashrate in the network gives 675 block/day. Let's say I have a miner with 50 kH/s which is 0.05 MH/s. That means I get 10*675*0.05/1.79 = 189 CRDS / day with my hashrate? 1 CRDS = 0.000008700 BTC 1 BTC = 6491$ 189 CRDS / day = 189 * 0.000008700 * 6491 $ / day = 10.67$ / day I read that an overclocked Ryzen 7 CPU should get 60 kH/s. I have a Ryzen 7 1700 but don't overclock so I expect maybe 50 kH/s. So it will give me around 10$ / day on average? I know with solo mining it depends on luck but in the long run it should getting closer to average. The price and difficulty varies but I just wanted to get a rough estimate if it is profitable or not. Yes your maths is correct, however it may not work out like that precisely. Any mining guide for CRDS ?
Not yet, I'll get one written up today if I can. Thanks! It sure looks profitable enough to try some CPU mining! I also have a server with four AMD Opteron 6276 CPU (64 cores in total). This will be interesting :-) Edit: How do I start mining using command line only? I was able to start it in the gui wallet but I want to run it on a headless machine without gui, credits-cli dows not seem to work (or I don't know how to start it correcly). Anyway I got 23.6 kH/s with an AMD FX-8350 CPU using 8 threads. Edit: I won 3 blocks with the FX-8350 in 8 hours so the calculations seems to be correct (or I was just lucky).

Well that is something like $700 worth today. Not that much for an investment? I only have 250k ITNS but I keep on mining. My goal is also 1 mil before end of year. But difficulty is rising...

Is it possible to get this working on a downgraded laptop with Ubuntu 14.04? I have a very limited install just for Mining. I don't care if I won't get much out of it, i just want to see what I am able to accomplish with it. Specifically for xmr-stak-amd or xmr-stak-cpu miner... Any help would be appreciated guys thank you No ubuntu 14.04 is not supported by the driver.

According to ANN: "In order to act as a node, staking of ITNS in the wallet will be required, fostering currency utilization and network growth."
How much ITNS would be required to be locked in the wallet in order to act as a node?

The guides are made for Windows. Can this be done in Linux?
I just bought an used XFX RX 460 2GB single fan and if I mod the bios (maybe using a windows machine) will it work in Linux? I see there is a mod of windows driver to bypass bios signature check but there is mo mod required for Linux? It also seems possible to flash it with a RX 560 bios to unlock shaders but maybe not Worth it? I am mining Intense (cryptonight) so mods for Monero should be useful to me.

I just discovered the concept of master nodes and found MonacoCoin to be a nice coin for a master node. Can I quit running a master node whenever I want without loosing Money or am I bound to run it forever if I start one? I would like to test it and to see how it works. I know I must get at least 1000 XMCC and put it in a wallet on a server. I might be able to afford that. Is that all? Or is there some hidden cost other than the cost of the server?

Is there a way to mine for rigs behind firewall?
Yes if the mining pool support a port that normally is open in a firewall. I am mining on this pool http://itns.intensepool.net/#getting_startedSee "firewall.friendly mining" instructions

Is there any mining/profitability calculator for Zoin? I want to calculate if mining will be a profitable endeavor, but has found nothing. Checkout the #mining channel on Sack also Hashrates -> https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Me5bLzqfW3BtO2G_A8k8VOOpTpgVxYUwx0ORnM-XqGo/edit#gid=0Profitability varies from day to day with the Network Hashrate, currently its just below 5MH/s two weeks ago it was 2.5MH/s, also coin price is also not settled yet, with such variables its hard to calculate daily profits and even harder to speculate a months income... Also don't forget we are closing in on block number 210000. With it the mining reward will split - from 50 to 25. This is to happen in a months time. From my current calculations 1kH/s should give you around 6-8 coins per day. It looks like hashrate depends much on memory bandwidth. Systems with DDR4 have higher hashrate than DDR3. Systems with dual channel memory has higher hashrate and systems with one memory channel. CPU Clock frequency and number of threads does not seem to matter as much as memory speed. So a low power CPU with many channels of fast DDR4 memory may be profitable?

I have 4x Opteron 6276. The best hashrate I got was 2030 H/s using xmrig with 56 threads and set affinity to 0xFEFEFEFEFEFEFEFE. But my server overheats after a while with that setting so I had to change to 32 threads and affinity 0x5555555555555555. Then I got a stable hashrate of 1700 H/s. That is the best long term stable hashrate I have got. You can check http://monerobenchmarks.info/4X AMD OPTERON 6282 SE 1801 H/s -a crytonight -t 64 I actually got higer hashrate running 56 threads than with 64. But my Power consumption is around 600W so I guess it is better using AMD Vega GPU which can give same hashrate but at much lower power. Opteron 6300 series should use a Little bit lower Power but the performance should be similar as 6200 series.

is there is a better cryptonight miner for 1080ti? cause the one you have posted here is not optimized and sometimes even do not working or showing silly speed so if someone show the way where to search will be glad!
xmrig-nvidia works fine for my nvidia cards (1060 and 1070). I just use default settings (except for donation, I think 5% is too much). I have not bothered to try optimizing more than default settings. My GTX 1070 get around 700 H/s and 1060 get 500 H/s. (I am using it on Linux, don't know if that matters).

Which recommended verium mining pools are located in Europe? I live in Sweden and want a good stable pool to mine.
Should I go solo mining instead? My estimated hashrate is 12 kH/min. I have a server with four opteron 6276 intended for mining. That would give 3-4 Days between block wins on average with solo mining? Can several machines connect directly to the same wallet for solo mining?
If I want to set up my own pool, is there a recommended software? I prefer open source and Linux.

Hi!
I tried to deposit some mined ETN to Cryptopia from my CLI wallet but it does not work creating deposit address at Cryptopia. Is this a known problem or just me? I registered a new account this morning at Cryptopia so I have never used them before. Is Cryptopia the only exchange where ETN trading is enabled?
