241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [XMR] Monero - A secure, private, untraceable cryptocurrency (mandatory upgrade) on: October 29, 2014, 06:51:16 PM
@akula999

Yes, from what i read here what people posted in past, that more RAM you have more it gets used. Least i saw someone said, run it on 3gb RAM.
It seems we have newbie accounts FUD attack again Tongue

No, daemon uses same RAM as it did back in May to me. And devs spend quite of some money to support what they do, not to mention they do it for free.

I'm sorry you feel my post if FUD. Hopefully not all questions in your minds perception is equal to FUD. Maybe you're having a bad day. But, if feel i'm trying to spread FUD, then I feel sorry for you. Unlike most people here, i'm not in the tech industry. I'm just having an issue with my one PC which has bitmonerod running on it (nothing else, windows 7 w/ 8gb ram).

Do you know how to access Task Manager? Control Alt Delete, then select from menu. List the items by increasing memory usage, and monitor the top entries on the list while starting the daemon.

As I posted earlier, on my Windows 8 system bitmonerod uses less than 4.5 GB RAM throughout sync and when fully synced (as now).

My win7 system with 8GB froze several times when syncing if i was doing other stuff. It was ok if i left alone during sync. Once synced, I could then use normally. Problem went away when i upgrade to 16GB.

Apparently no one read the recommendations here:

Supported coins:
XMR/QCN/BCN/FCN/Aeon/Duck/Dash/OEC/MCN/ORION.
=========================

CPU version is here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=647251.0

Current version: 9.1:

- Improved pool-related routines: less disconnects, more hashrate on some pools.
- Fixed issue with some old 6xxx/5xxx cards ("lowDifficultShare" error).

Previous version: 9.0:
- Improved speed by 5-15%, depends on card:
About 810 h/s on stock 290X (Hynix memory).
About 710 h/s on stock 290X (Elpida memory).
About 690 h/s on stock 290  (Elpida memory).
About 550 h/s on stock 280X (Hynix memory).
About 440 h/s on stock 270X (Elpida memory).
About 410 h/s on stock 270  (Elpida memory).
- Reduced dev fee, now it is 2.5%.
- Improved "-li" option, Windows freezes even less.
- Best "-a" and "-h" values are set automatically for 290X,290,280X,270X,270,6950_2GB cards.

This is POOL version.

Catalyst 13.12 is required for best performance and compatibility. Catalyst 14.x is supported as well (usually 14.x is about 1% slower than 13.12).

Set "GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT" environment variable as "100".

For multi-GPU systems, set Virtual Memory size in Windows at least 16 GB:
"Computer Properties / Advanced System Settings / Performance / Advanced / Virtual Memory".

This miner is free-to-use, however, current developer fee is 2.5%, miner mines 39 rounds for you and 1 round for developer.
If you don't agree with dev fee - don't use this miner, or use "-nofee" option.
Attempts to cheat and remove dev fee will cause a bit slower mining speed (same as "-nofee 1") though miner will show same hashrate.

This version is for recent AMD videocards only: 7xxx and 2xx, also 6xxx and 5xxx. No nVidia support.

This version is for Windows x64 and Linux x64 only. No 32-bit support.

Linux version also requires AMD APP SDK installed. Linux version has been tested in Cent 6.5 and Ubuntu 14.04.

There are quite a stir in the market / cryptsy /! Who bought, bought .... I managed to buy A few hundred million and I hope that you are able! This low price will not stay much longer, looking applications for purchase! The coin will comfortably reach 50-70 litoshi's. Of course this is my opinion and does not commit anyone to him.
Good luck to all!  Wink

Please for your help!
When sending Monero coin from my personal wallet at exchange having to write one letter at all address and ID key! This is because simplewallet.exe a DOS application, and it can not use copy / paste! At least I do not know how! Please tell me how to send Exchange, you always have to write letter by letter .... are many characters and the ability to make a mistake in writing is great. Is there any way?
Thanks!

I'm not sure I understand you correctly but if the problem is in pasting in the command prompt window, you can do it. Click on the top left corner of the black command prompt window like this, then select "Edit", then "Paste":

Works as well in simplewallet.

That's what it is! Thank you!  Wink

This is a translation by me! I am Bulgarian, but as far as I know Russian, I will translate!

I do not speak foreign languages, and in their native language sometimes make mistakes.
I'll write in Russian who can translate (thanks in advance).

1. None of the normal purse (much too long maintained its development, though the betta version of lay people panicking)
2. A feeling that all this is a very large divorce ....... answers developers' I can not write on the site because of the "Biorhythms" asleep at the airport, "it looks like gibberish ......" Let's remove the film "bullshit he should be and what to tell monero wonderful, can then still juicy song ?? or release a cartoon? ay do wake up pouch At least, now the majority of people holding a smartphone that's what you need to focus.
3. Mein ordinary people at this price is not profitable for electricity more charge.
4. Why can not I make a couple XMR \ USD or any other fiat, inconveniently Bitcoin buy initially but it then monero .....

probably all of us will soon be thrown ........ and developers and economists screwed us dick in ears ...........

I do not Troll or Elf or org .... this is my opinion.

In the last couple of days I was invited to explain cryptos to the Euro Banking Association.
A dozen of high-level deleguates from different institutions and European countries were there. I did mention the large potential impact of Monero in the future.  Wink

259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][1000 SYNC]|POS|ANON NITESEND|Profit share|Asset Backed|Colored Coins on: October 20, 2014, 07:24:07 AM
man this foundation has completley destroyed the price of sync!
over 50% loss in 1 month, these morons running this coin now
who incidentally just took over the community had nothing to do with
it, have completley ruined such a good coin.
When i think about all that time i spent fighting fudders and standing
up for this coin only to see it now is very sad indeed Cry

I have absolutley no confidence in who ever this so called foundation is,
they have not stuck to their word they have not used the communities including
my donations to stop the slide of the coin as the foundation is supposed to be doing.

and this is begginning to look like one big scam, these guys have 100btc worth of our
donations to do with that they want and it seems all they do is party with it.

Syncers wake up! this coin only has 1000 minted or just slightly more so the price
should be at least 2btc to 1 sync by now but that is not the case now is it, and i wonder
why that is. This is disgracefull and a motion on no confidence should be called for.

Just exactly what the hell is going on, who is in charge as its not ms collec anymore
who are these people who have hijacked our coin.

We have a right to know who you all are, all of you including the new guy
how you attained this position and who gave you the right to run the coin into the ground
and not adhere to the whitepapers that have been published.

This is now getting serious and as a whale i want answers!
and i would think my fellow whales and all you 3 syncers are probably just as
concerned.

+1 Fully support you!
You can also see my angry comments from a few days ago! Of the best, most perspective coin was nothing because bastards ruined her.
Where is LTCkart Huh Why delete all his comments and everything connected with it Huh WHY? Give us answers to logical questions !!!
