241  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wild trading at tradehill on: June 20, 2011, 06:03:43 PM
1.) Newbie posts (not just this one) about market prices fluctuating.

2.) Seasoned veterans nod and wonder what all the excitement is about.

3.) Repeat until forum database explodes.

I like your post, as a newbie Smiley I didn't intend to spam the forum but I couldn't find a disucssion on the price movement, especially after such a historical event.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Wild trading at tradehill on: June 20, 2011, 05:43:20 PM
Price ranges from $6 to $15. I feel some market maker could take advantage of this crazy volatile move...
243  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: newegg return question on: June 20, 2011, 05:09:26 PM
Thanks. I just like to see if somebody has already done that and wonder what's the experience.

frozen is right, maybe I can sell it here on the forums. Smiley
244  Bitcoin / Mining / newegg return question (5830) on: June 20, 2011, 04:21:08 PM
Anybody has ever done it?

If I plan to return 5830 card (which was purchased at 109), I will have 1 month to do so and need to pay 15% restocking fee + shipping cost, right? How much is the shipping cost?
245  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / the longer mtgox is offline, the more time people have to crack the passwords on: June 20, 2011, 03:48:56 AM
they should be back and at least let us change our passwords.
246  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Place your bets: the price of bitcoin after Mt.gox opens on: June 20, 2011, 03:25:15 AM
it doesn't matter where it opened. The 500K BTC selling pressure will continously push down the price..
247  Other / CPU/GPU Bitcoin mining hardware / holding my hardware buy order until BTC resumes trading and price is stable on: June 20, 2011, 12:26:47 AM
Was about to order some hardware on newegg to enhance coooling. seems I should wait to see what price it'll be. Maybe I'll end up selling all my existing Radeon 5830 cards in stead of buying some cooling gears...
248  Economy / Economics / trade should be cancelled on: June 19, 2011, 05:57:32 PM
SEC would have done that for the flash crash...  Smiley

Same issue here. I withdrew 0.39 BTC 4.5 hours ago. Still it says "No such transaction". Sad

apparently, the temp measuring unit is broken
253  Bitcoin / Mining / Who bought newegg's last 5830? on: June 06, 2011, 09:32:39 PM
I placed an order for 1 5830 with newegg at 9:02am PST today.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Head & Shoulders -- not just for dandruff anymore on: June 05, 2011, 05:18:36 PM
Short term technical matters, although i do believe H&S is not a very reliable pattern in general. In the long run, it's about supply and demand. Since we have limited supply on bitcoin and unlimited supply from FED (usd), you can imagine how the price would go.
