241  Economy / Economics / Now one million merchants will drive selling pressure! on: October 16, 2014, 01:14:31 PM
Good for Bitpay buy bad for the price...

BitPay Plans to Have “One Million Merchants Taking Bitcoin by the End of 2016″

https://www.cryptocoinsnews.com/bitpay-one-million-merchants-taking-bitcoin-end-2016/

I agree in terms of overall health of the bitcoin economy it is totally good..but in terms of price, it is going to be always a negative pressure.

I believe the real use value for bitcoin is what will drive price up, something like drones and autonomous vehicles trying to deal only bitcoin in which case bitcoin become a thing where people really want to have bitcoins in order to use a service!

the merchant adoption i think is a bitter pill

this is what religious people say in terms of the end time in relation to science  and tech!

electronic democracy - one world government

internet of things -- all seeing network

bitcoin - one world currency

SINGULARITY- the birth of satan( the most powerful AI)

Extropians- the people who bring all these to the world..

A powerful counter argument that only will collapse at the event of singularity, if its not satan then everything will be ok..

Satan or not satan just hodl on to your bitcoin guys...sure it is going to take to moon

I think your uncle is Satan.

why you don't want me to sleep the night peacefully?
244  Other / Off-topic / Re: Bitcoin is satanic and Satoshi is lucifer! My uncle claims! on: October 16, 2014, 07:28:25 AM
There is a big flaw in your uncles logic.
When I get this right, he thinks, that satan is working in the shadows, that's why Satoshis identity will never be revealed.
But bitcoin is as open as anything could be. How does that mix?

No he just said satan(satoshi in this case) would not reveal himself! I think the open nature of blockchain need not be confused with this
I still don't see how that mix.  How does Satan profit from something, nobody can control?

maybe satan running a secret very large mining facility in hell and can do a stealth 51% attack so that it can double spend whenever it likes to do so!

that's the profit motive..

please lol

i thought Satan was there to punish, not humiliate

may be satan wants more money! he could be really underpaid for that punishment job

Now I am reading through the 20 page long research paper by the sociologist James.J.Huges..

the paper argues this sort of tension between technology(bitcoin) and religion could morph into violence in the coming future!

                                                                       g

I want to tell you guys before you read this,  I belong to an Hindu family but I am not a very religious person and I believe in science and tech more than anything!

But I could not sleep yesterday guys..this is why

My uncle(dad's friend) came home after a long time, He is a doctor, knows little about tech and he is a converted christian( from hinduism), he is now deep into theology. I decided I should tell him about bitcoin and convince him to make him buy  bitcoin!

We watched  Rise and rise of bitcoin, about the price history charts and all good side of information out there regarding bitcoin. He was so excited to listen and asked a lot of questions and I answered them all( felt like Andreas Antop for a moment). At last he asked who invented bitcoin? I said about Satoshi and all the mystery behind them! I could see his face turn deeply skeptical! He then left to sleep!

The next day he came to me and asked me to say  about the early creators of bitcoin, I told him about Hal finney, the sad death and cryo preservation! He said to find me if there is a political moment or an ideology that unites all those very early adopters( finney, Nick szabo, etc) and the least i could come with is Extropianism and hence we began taking a lot about transhumanism, singularity and so on for a lot of time.

The Extropian Roots of Bitcoin

Finney subscribing to extropians at lucifer.com

See the extropy institute is recommended @ lucifer.com

the next day(yesterday) he just came to me and said "In my life I wont ever touch this bitcoin, it is just satan's tool to create a one world currency for the one world government. Satoshi is just satan mark my words he will never be revealed or even if revealed it will be a proxy becuase this is the way satan works! from behind". He said you will become a millionaire or even billionaire if you hold on even a few bitcoins, because it is sure to take over the world.

He advised me to search the internet for the relevance of this extropianism and satanism and you will find the truth!

Now the more I search the more it gets scary, I am harcore pro transhumanism and pro singularity but am shocked to find that the theological world has this opposing view towards extrpianism, bitcoin, singularity and transhumanism!

The Singularity: Science’s Quest For Immortality And Satan’s Deception

Its a dilema, a big one! Shall we taste the fruit? shall we take the blu pill

bitcoin changing your guys religion too now?  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin IS my religion now  Cheesy

In the name of Satoshi of the Blockchain and of the Holy SHA. Amen?

You're going to fit right in here.  Judas and I will have a cold beer waiting for you.   Wink
As long as that's a real German or Belgian beer, and not that american pisswater, we're good.
Eastern European beers (like Czech) are also great.

Pfft. Real men drink scotch. Neat. From a flagon. Served by freckled red-headed wenches.

Read this Poem I wrote before some time claiming Satoshi as my Saviour..

In this world bred with greed,
I belong to debt enslaved creed,
caught in this middle class prison
commitments without any reason

I belong to a developing nation,
filled with corruption and inflation.
even my bones pain from exploitation
always in a desire for exaltation.

Along came internet,
but only to connect,
Along came social network
To rob  our personal stuff

Yet this new ray of promise
a decentralized marvel of mathematics
I see a religion of the free,
To financial freedom I spree!

If trajectory truly goes to moon
The pleasures of wealth blurs my mind
I dare, call Satoshi my Almighty
and bitcoin my saviour!

This is just written after a tiresome day at the end of college!
I am trying to improve!
Suggestions welcome

251  Other / Meta / Now I am a Senior and now I say this about this forum! on: October 14, 2014, 04:16:12 PM
My own post when I was a newbie in this forum

I am telling my own experience,

My involvement with cryptos is like 6 months and in the begining when I came here I saw a lot of technical words and discussions which appeared greek and latin to me.. So i decided i should not make a post until i learn a  lot about cryptos or else i will be made fun off..

So I did go to many places, read many articles, watched many videos and learned about cryptos and visited this forum regularly as a passive reader..

As i learnt about cryptos i found out that  there were so many silly questions asked by many here but which were answered so politely by some of the good people here in the forum.

So now i feel like i could have learnt many things quick if i could have asked whatever i wished over here instead of running places..

So if any newbie is reading this please understand i say with 100% confidence that bitcointalk.org is the most friendly and welcoming place for you to learn discuss about cryptos and relevant technology.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=592703.0;

And as you can see some people were making fun of me as an attention seeking noob.

But now I am a senior member and not an Iota has changed in my opinions regarding the forum! Yes this is the most friendly and welcoming place for any new crypto newbie!

Looking forward to the days where I become Hero member and then Legendary and contribute as much as I could for this forum!

I just wish bitcoin goes to moon within that!

Thank you for making my life wonderful! Thank you bitcointalk.org! Love you Moderators and the wonderful people around here!

We are all Gentlemen! and surely going to be wealthy elite Gentlemen!

I've had big arguments with communists before turning aggressive and loud calling me bourgeois

They can't have come across Chairman Mao then   Wink

Now there's a man that knew a thing or two about communes.

The change may or may not come from within, facilitated by technological advance.

My feeling is that it will come both from within, and from without. ie. peasant revolts against US exploitation in places like Ecuador, Iraq, Nigeria etc. cutting off the cheap natural resources currently helping to artificially bloat the average US citizens standard of living (which they themselves think is all down to the efficacy of the free market   Grin).

Just listen to the story of millionaire app developer Allen Wong..who came from one of these Chinese commune to United states and after many hardships succeeded bigtime..

Where does libertarianism and socialism lie in all those complicated ideologies!

and who are those  agents in this hopelessly enslaved matrix world...

funny how libertarians can  view the agents as those who come and collect the tax.

and socialist can view those agents as vangaurds of the capitalist system...
257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin changing my ideology from socialism to libertarianism! What about you? on: October 13, 2014, 05:44:42 AM
spot on:

I agree with the claim that those who believe that private property is wrong should share their bitcoins with other people who are asking their bitcoins....

after all the bitcoin is asked without any force and those who believe in private property shall safely hold on to their bitcoins...

and some people who begin to say let the government rule be set so that everyone should share their bitcoin, then I will share...

let us watch how this sharing would happen without force and violence

How does a gigantic rotating non living rock a.k.a earth own and claim the fruits belong to it...
Earth doesn't claim to own anything, nor does the universe, nor does any other known form of life. Only Homo Sapiens claim ownership, and only for around the last 5,000 years of our 100,000 year existence in our present genetic form.

We created this destructive concept out of convenience. Now is the time our species to mature beyond simple selfish convenience and embrace our role as planetary stewards.

now how do you modify this selfishness which is genetically hard coded in majority of humans?

by teaching empathy at school and making them watch socialism movie?

by hanging socialist sign boards across the city?
259  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin changing my ideology from socialism to libertarianism! What about you? on: October 13, 2014, 03:56:42 AM
by your logic, the 2 people trying to trade an orange for the apple have already "failed" by claiming they own said fruit.

is that correct or incorrect?
I'd say both men are confused about the reality of the relationship between temporary animals (which we Naked Primates are) and the relatively permanent Earth.

The civilized man operates under the very dangerous delusion that the Earth and its fruits belong to him, when in reality man belongs to the Earth. Until human civilization rids itself of this delusion, we will continue to destroy ourselves and everything around us.

"The white man seeks to conquer nature, to bend it to his will and use it wastefully until it is all gone and then he simply moves on, leaving the waste behind him and looking for new places to take. The whole white race is a monster who is always hungry, and what he eats is land."
-Chiksika, to Tecumseh

Yours with nature's righteous fury,

World Citizen Beliathon

How does a gigantic rotating non living rock a.k.a earth own and claim the fruits belong to it...

it would be acceptable if atleast you say the tree owns the fruit..
