Do you mean that you pledge 100 BTC per shop?
Correct. This is VERY generous of you, thanks!

Shameless bump Hi friend, how have you been? Haven't seen you around in a while.

Mahkul, I pledge 100 BTC, up to a maximum of 500 BTC, for the "shops" category of your pledge.
So far Bitcoins users and miners have grown faster than the number of shops. It is very important that, in addition to trade between individuals, we have as many shops or merchants accepting Bitcoins as possible to make the Bitcoin economy more stable and robust.
To qualify, the shop must match the current description that Mahkul gave: Google page rank of 3 or above, the person must post to this thread beforehand, etc.
Do you mean that you pledge 100 BTC per shop?

Just to confirm that I received the payment from Ashpool very quickly.

In my bitcoin client there is a transaction fee recommendation of 0.01. Does this mean anytime I send money to someone it'll charge them 0.01 back to me, or how does this work? I read the wiki but confused on who it affects. Who gets the 0.01 and at what point?
This means that every time you make a transaction you give 0.01 to the person who finds the next block. The purpose of this is to encourage people to run miners, because it costs money (electricity). Once it gets to the stage where miners will be rewarded very small amounts of coins for finding a block, the transaction fees will be their main reward. Currently though if you attach the fee you may be sure that your transfer will be added to the next block before the transactions that weren't paid for. If you don't pay the fee it doesn't mean your transaction will not be added to the block, but it may not be the next one created.

This kinda worries me, what if i when i buy some bitcoins i end up depositing money on the bank account that belongs to some major criminal that the police is spying on to gather evidence to arrest (or see who the criminal is associated with) ?
If major criminals were using Bitcoins already the exchange rate would probably be higher.

So I'm new to the game. I am developing several sites to try and be part of the bit-coin community.
I am finding it really hard to lay my hands on some coins. Liberty is a huge pain in the ass. Coinpal has rejected my transactions twice.
I am trying bitmorpheus to try and get some coins.
In the mean time anyone willing to sell me 100BTC I am happy to pay the going rate plus a bit more through paypal.
Hi, I can sell you 100 BTC at 1:1 for Paypal USD. Please PM me if you're interested. Cheers.

We are working out the legal issues and once we have everything sorted we will allow transferring money into the exchange, so that the transactions within the exchange are instant. No point in allowing that now and then shutting the exchange down after some tax officer gets onto us. We want to do this right. Also, once we have the legal end of it sorted we are going (more than likely) to act as a limited company with proper terms and conditions so that everyone knows where their money is going.
I think it is good doing this. When can we expect this feature? Also with view on 1BTC transactions (people now just confirm then, yay! free BTC). @BioMike: As soon as my Accountant gets back to me on this. Shouldn't be longer than a few days. The guy is completely new to Bitcoin so he needs time to digest it. By the way, thanks for your patience; we are doing our best to make the exchange better. I am just thinking, perhaps we should put a limit of 10 BTC per transaction unless Paypal is allowed? Just for the time being. I will check how hard this would be to implement...

It ROCKS to be able to donate to DOSBox via Bitcoin! I have been donating via Paypal for years and it's just so cool to be giving them coins now, without Paypal's cut.

It's a good idea to find new common-used targets We can make a poll about them. I think that a good one could be "Tor". Tor can be useful also to people that will probably going to use Bitcoin. It will spread the idea of Bitcoin in countries where there is a limited freedom. I think the "we" was referring to Bitcoin users who appreciate classic PC gaming. You are welcome to start a thread about Tor. Besides, torservers already accepts Bitcoin donations.

It's any way to monitoring GPU and CPU temperatures with Bitcoing progress of work by telnet ? Or i obliged to use remote desktop :/
Try: While logged in via ssh try this: aticonfig --odgt --adapter=all
If you get errors do: And then try aticonfig again. EDIT: By the way, there is a Polish bitcoin forum at http://bitcoin.pl/forum (I assume you're Polish judging by your nick). EDIT 2: As for the CPU try typing: If this doesn't work follow this guide.

1) email history is kept 2) the sender is the exchange, resolving the spam folder potential issue
Once the offers are matched, both the seller and the buyer receive emails from admin at bitmarket dot eu asking them to contact each other, so you can be sure he got the message unless our email address is in his spam filter. We can't allow anyone to cancel their offers manually after the transaction took place, because this way the buyer would have no warranty that they will get their coins in case the seller was going to cheat. You need to email us if you need the transaction cancelled and then we resolve it. I know it's not ideal, but that's the way it is for now. I was thinking a messaging system within the exchange, but then again, the guy may say he never logged in to read the message so this doesn't really solve the issue.

Now to write a comprehensive guide on using the exchange.

I don't think anyone will be sending 0.5 EUR internationally to buy 1 BTC.
If you use SEPA I (in Belgium) can make any payment in euro for free. Yes, that's true. But the problem we are facing at the moment is - if someone buys BTC and they want to pay by Paypal, but the seller doesn't accept it.

I have an Impossible Mission II for PC still shrink wrapped. Interested?
Is it in its retail box or just jewel case? How much do you want for it? Are you in Europe by any chance?

I am very disappointed. I personally sent davout 5678.00 BTC to open source bitcoin central, then 2.0 PGAU, plus another 250 BTC when he whined about the PGAU. Yeah, he open sourced it, but you would think he would stick around the bitcoin community, rather than just take the money and run [P.S. this is 'jgarzik', using a new nick] If I knew that we would have started working on BitMarket much earlier and open sourced it as well. Back in the days I was talking to davout about running bitcoin-central together, but then he stopped responding, so I started my own exchange (which belongs to me and M4v3R now). Once we have the legal issues sorted (should happen within the next 2 weeks) we are going to allow EUR transfers onto the exchanges' account so that the trading process is smoother and quicker.

10 BTC sent to softendo at 1LBg83wVW49BHqzzjX8mrvMvLkmBCmLLzN.
Also as most of the successes seem to be organisations, which I guess are the easy mark, I'm lowering my organisation pledge to 5 BTC to make this sustainable. So my pledge is now 10 BTC shops, 5 BTC organisations
Updated.
