I have invested in about five ICO's so far and I prefer them to have a soft and hard cap. I refuse to participate in an ICO that doesn't have a cap at all. These projects tend to be oversold and it takes a lot of time, development and marketing for the price to be profitable to consider selling.

I have seen altcoins and bitcoins for sale on Ebay which allows you to pay with paypal but you'll be paying a much higher price than if you were to purchase the alts with bitcoins or ethereum on the exchanges. You might also find it hard to buy large amounts on Ebay because people fear having chargebacks and disputes.

I have stopped using EtherDelta for a while now. I do not like the fact that I need to input my private keys in order to use the exchange. I am sticking to more traditional exchanges such as Bittrex and Binance. I also prefer to use the Waves DEX but it is mostly used for trading Waves platform tokens.

It is difficult to spot a fake airdrop project before joining. One thing to look for is do they have a website ready. If there isn't a website, that should be one clue that the developer is not serious about the project. Usually, you won't know if an airdrop project is a scam or not until after you join and receive or don't receive any tokens.

Rebellious token looks like a cool project. Was there an ICO for this project or was this an airdropped token? How many of the tokens were airdropped and how many are kept by the team? Sucks that I missed out on it, i'll look to pick up some on the exchanges.

Binance is not a scam exchange. It is the fastest growing new cryptocurrency exchange. It has moved up the ranks and is currently the number 1 cryptocurrency exchange. I have been using it since it went live and really like Binance a lot. There's a large variety of coins to trade with and it's very easy to use.

Look how undervalued Waves is at the moment compared to projects like Lisk. The market cap could easily tripple in a few days and it would not even be a pump (like qtum, eos, ada, tron, ...).
You should always compare Waves to other projects and see that Waves has a working product and one of the fastest blockchains, easy token creation, DEX, Leasing, ... It's superior to most of it's competitors.
It's just the marketing that is very weak. But that gives time to buy at this cheap prices.

I heard the Waves team plans to allocate $100,000 per month towards marketing. This will surely get the word out.  They should be spending more like $1,000,000/month. It would be a drop in the bucket of their marketing budget, unless Sasha did in fact sell all the ICO bitcoins for $2,000, as he said he would one year ago. A million dollars a month is way too excessive. This will deplete the Waves team's funds quickly which they need for developments. $100k per month is a good amount for the project. I am sure Sasha still has the majority of the Bitcoins because he is doing Bitcoin Cash airdrops for WCT holders. There's been one so far and more to come. BTW, I heard Liquid tokens airdrop #2 is suppose to happen tomorrow. Keep your Waves and WCT in your wallet. Dash has a monthly budget of 4 million for everything and they spend a good chunk on advertising. 100k /month is not very much, They could do another bounty but limit it to video and articles to get the word out. That would be an inexpensive way and be diversified as well. It would also help with the search returns for waves You're comparing Waves to a heavily instamined coin like Dash. The Dash team has a lot of funds to spend especially now when the price of Dash is over $1000 each. They are 8x larger than Waves at the moment. Waves spending 100k a month is more than many projects out there. |

Supposedly they have 24k but i really dubt that as well. I only found one adress containing 10k btc which i belive is waves(might be someone else controlling it), not sure though, probably they have sold it all, but sasha dont want to admit that. I would understand them if they have, but lying and keeping us early investors in the dark is really shady. From now on i only invest in ico where they publicly display their addresses, feel more secury and easier to value a project later om. Don't worry about how many or few bitcoins the Waves team has. Instead, worry about how many you have. The Waves team has more than enough funds to deliver on there promises and they have been delivering. Don't forget, they have just as many bitcoin fork coins as they have bitcoins. If you invested in the ICO like I did, you wouldn't be complaining. |

To be safe, always bookmark myetherwallet. You don't want to expose your private keys on a fake site. You will lose all your tokens. Watch out for fake emails from MEW also. I've been getting a lot of those. It's ok to be paranoid with cryptocurrency. |

50000 insane for master node?  That's too much. That amount isn't that much. One INSN masternode was as high as 5 BTC, but with the recent price fall, it's around 1 BTC for a masternode now. Compare that to other masternodes such as Stratis which requires 250,000 STRAT (340 BTC) for a masternode, makes INSN looks very affordable. |

Does anyone know when the next distribution of the Liquid tokens airdrop is? I heard this airdrop will be happening every week until all the tokens are distributed. I can't get enough of these rare tokens and they will be even more scarce when 20% of the fees get burnt.
I wish these airdrops would stop. There are tons of junk being dropped that just clogs your asset list. Liquid tokens are airdropped by the Waves Team so they will always carry a value as with the Waves Community tokens, Miners rewards token, etc. There are junk airdropped tokens but these aren't from the team. Feel free to send over to me the Liquid tokens if you don't want them, I'll reimburse you the Waves transaction fees. |

Someone on the local forum wrote why not waves will pass Ethereum.
It cannot be mentioned for Waves to pass Ethereum. It is close to imposible. At least with that team. But just for sampling that, let’s assume Ethereum reached to 1500 USD in the feature. Waves would see 50-60 dollar at the same period. There is possibility for Ethereum to reach Bitcoin’s marketcap in the future. It is almost impossible for the Waves to catch that acceleration.

Instead of renting mining power, you're better off purchasing INSN while the prices are cheap. POW block rewards are only 1 INSN per block with an 8% chance of getting 2 INSN per block. I have not mined INSN and am not sure if the POW rewards payouts are having issues similar to the masternodes payouts. |

I hope they do a rebrand. Everything looks so amateur. I'd even be willing to donate my services so if anyone from INSN is listening and you guys need design help, holler!!!
The brand could probably use some refinement but not necessarily a complete re-branding. The main thing is getting the master node / Pow / PoS payments correct and moving forward from there. Instead of narrowing down your selection by coins priced below 10 cents. Consider how many coins are in circulation. Some coins may be under 10 cents but there are tens to hundreds of billions of them which is a huge amount. Look at INSN (Insane coin), the total supply is around 18.6 million coins and the price is currently under 18 cents. This coin could end up being a sleeping giant if the new dev can deliver on his promises.

If you plan to invest in cryptocurrencies, you should invest immediately when you have the funds. The only time you should wait is if you're waiting for that next paycheck to invest with. It is very difficult to predict the cryptocurrency market, you may never know when it's the so called "best" time to purchase coins. Just keep buying.
