241  Economy / Speculation / Re: A thought from an old timer... on: January 17, 2015, 08:36:24 PM
The most profitable bitcoins I ever mined, were the ones I mined when it was unprofitable to do so.

Can you clarify that ? Is it because you mined when the price was around 100$ and went to 1000$ in very less time ?
242  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin dice games on: January 17, 2015, 08:33:26 PM
governments like the u.s ban gambling sites.

How was that even an explanation for the question asked in the op  ?
243  Economy / Gambling / Re: What is the best site for blackjack and or dice? on: January 17, 2015, 08:31:57 PM
Yeah, what is the best site for blackjack? I kinda wanna wager 5 BTC on one hand, and well hope for the best. lol.

EDIT: Dice looks pretty interesting too. But I think I would have better odds with blackjack

For Blackjack, Cloudbet
For dice, bitdice and Primedice.

One verification deposit.

245  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: [NEW] PonziParty | 130% return | fast & automatic payment | secure on: January 17, 2015, 08:26:02 PM
I try it, sent 0.05 btc.

Was that an attempt to get more people to fall for the scam ?
246  Economy / Gambling / Re: Won 19.8 bitcoin on primedice | 9900x roll on: January 17, 2015, 08:23:44 PM

Took a shot, bet 0.002 BTC ($0.40) on a 0.01% roll and won 19.8 BTC ($4,000)
Good day Wink

Note: Blocked username so no one tries stealing my account ^.^

Thats a very nice win. I have always tried 9900x on smaller amounts  .

Never ever have I hit once.
247  Economy / Collectibles / Re: Charlie Hebdo N°1178 Je suis Charlie Physical paper (ESCROW) on: January 17, 2015, 08:21:03 PM
Heard on the radio one of these sold for £100,000 on ebay, don't know if the buyer paid and whether it was just because of the UK edition.

Yeah just had a look on Fleabay and 4 copies of the UK version sold for £100K each!! Some people have way too much money to spend Wink

£100K  is a stupid price. No one would buy it at that price . Its definitely fake bids just to hype the price.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: The price of Bitcoin, if it succeeds on: January 17, 2015, 08:15:58 PM
There is a lot of talk about at what price BTC is supposed to be. This statements are mostly based on the past price of BTC.
E.g. "It can't be 1000 USD/BTC today since it was just 130 USD/BTC 2 years ago"
I think, that is a pretty bad way to look at it.
The best way, I can think of, is what has the price to be, when a certain amount of people use it. Imagine in 10 years 100 Million people worldwide are using Bitcoin in some way(I don't want to discuss, if that is a good estimate, since the title of the topic is "if it succeeds"). Looking at the current market cap of ~$ 3 billion, that is just not enough. That means that everybody can just use an equivalent of average 30 USD.
Any other suggestions on how to determine a good price?

You see .. that's the issue mate , everyone look at the price and they  want to get rich between night & another just like that .
which is wrong ... a good price isn't what makes us rich but it's stable price . Let's say ~300$ for three months . that's stable then it's good . even if it was 1$ .
Most of people don't give a shit about Bitcoin being annonymus or fast or without fees they just want to become rich. *facepalm*
that's my opinion Grin

Good and a stable price of 1million USD/btc
I don' think there will be any growth that big anytime ever.
1000 USD would be great for it to reach again.

that is one of the coolest things ever deliveryman is very lucky.

Agreed.

My favorite so far is "Unity".

That piece made me start realize that I want one of those 10 coins, however, waaaay too late.

I don't think all the 10 coins have been claimed yet. Might be wrong.

9 of 10 have been "claimed" #10 is a design i did myself and will be listed for sale once 1-9 have been delivered to the clients. There will be no more 2015 coins in the collection to be designed or commissioned at this point in time. There is still an infiniant number of possibilities in art that i can make for clients.

I have done everything from bitcoin water pipes, to dildo's, to a bitcoin lamp, bitcoin end table, Bitcoin sculptures like "the hive", "Transcendence", and "Culture Cultivation", a bitcoin faux-cryptex, a bitcoin wall plaque (like the coins but not dated), a 24" by 48" carving to be displayed on the wall. Pretty much if you can dream it, and your pocket book goes deep enough to afford it, there is nothing i cannot make so long as it can be carved from wood.

Oh Alright, thanks for clearing it up. I just thought it was number 5 so there were still 3-4 more to go. Lucky 10 people Smiley

This is indeed turning into a pissing contest ala iPhone VS. Apple. Can't you both agree on the fact that you don't agree? I highly doubt any of you will change their opinion.

My bad. Was just fud busting but it's not worth getting anyone upset over. On a different note, mods should probably lock this thread since it's a confirmed scam.
Since the site is already shutdown it doesn't really matter.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: I'm getting more serious about Crypto/BTC - Got a minute? on: January 16, 2015, 11:09:18 PM
Hello everyone,

I've been getting more and more serious about crypto trading. I started off about a year back here and there. Made some money trading small amounts and getting lucky a few times.

Made some money with STR too.

I've been floating 1-5BTC for the past year or so. Putt some money in, make some profit, take my principal out, risk a percentage of the profit --> repeat --> repeat.

Today however I decided to buy around 10 thousand $ worth of BTC. Quite a step up for me, probably not for some of you, from dealing with around 5BTC(around 1500$-2000$ worth at any given time). The price is so low I couldn't resist. I plan to hold out until the price increases. Meanwhile I'm trading some other crypto with calculated risk.

I'm not too greedy so I usually get 5-10% of my principal out after I make 5-10% profit. Until I get all my principal out.

What advice do you have for somebody like me? Whatever I'm trading with I'm prepared to lose, I know that is the golden rule. I'm also curbing my greed as much as possible, I'm willing to take risks, too.

Best step is to buy more at the current price or as soon as it drops.

258  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading BTC on localbitcoins.com on: January 14, 2015, 11:32:22 PM
I cash out first before i send the coins. So i will never get chargedback, right? I am 16 so i have no creditcard either.
The problem with that is that later paypal will ban your account if the buyer takes a chargeback, and he won't probably wait for you to withdraw .

Will the prices be increased ever due to the low bitcoin price ? Some other campaigns have adjusted the price to their campaigns.
