241  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Always Be in an Uptrend? on: June 01, 2024, 07:38:28 AM
Since the launch of a bitcoin exchange-traded fund earlier this year, bitcoin has recovered and even surpassed its all-time highs set during the 2021 bull run. But for weeks, it looked like the largest cryptocurrency was trading sideways at best.
I am never surprised about what is happening in the world of Bitcoin now, I knew a thing like this might happen where the coin would be begging for liquidity to reach some certain high levels. This is mainly because of FUD and the fact that it has reached a high level that is discouraging for investment, as investors would not want to easily commit their money to it at a high and risky level.

Fine, the ETF saga helped Bitcoin to rise, and that happened before the much-anticipated halving which is now becoming a discouragement for the coin as Bitcoin was unable to hit its ATH after halving till now and it is gradually nearing 2 months now after it. The ETF filing of last year and the dramas attributed to it have changed the narratives in the world of Bitcoin which I believe is not so symbolic in terms of liquidity attracted to Bitcoin itself but only for the sentiment created.

Yet, after the ETF has successfully been approved, what has been so significant about the direct investment into Bitcoin through it? That has been my plight initially that people seem not to understand. This is because Bitcoin is accessible by itself without ETF, so the ETF that people hyped so much might not attract as many direct investments as people thought, just as we see today. Well, time will tell and we are patiently watching. Regardless, for now, nothing serious is to be expected unless the ATH at around $73,850 is breached upward.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Binance launches Notcoin (NOT) on launchpool. on: June 01, 2024, 07:20:25 AM
You can stake BNB and FUSD to farm NOT coins. Tap to earn mining rewards. Listing will happen on 16th and trading will start from 12:00 UTC. Including Binance two other exchanges OKX and Bybit will list NOT coin. Those who had mined the coin will be able to claim them on the listing date which is same for other two exchanges.

What do you guys think? Will NOT pump after listing or will it get dump?
I must say that Notcoin caught me off guard, I never believed that it could be this successful. Well, thanks to their innovative idea of tapping which is unique in the world of cryptocurrency, it really earns them a huge popularity. This tapping of things was successful to the point that the founder of Telegram Pavel Durov was thrilled to make a comment about it that it was a success. This is now the pioneer of tapping system for mining cryptocurrency, but very soon, as we know people, they will be joining the system to replicate the success of the coin.

Even after listing on prominent exchanges like Bybit and Binance, I was still doubtful of the fact that the success of initial presales marketing may not be sustainable after the coin's listing, but I was wrong, Notcoin more than doubled its listing price on Binance this week. The coin is a success as far as I am concerned. Now, if it can return lower to 0.007000, I might own a sizeable amount of investment in it because the brains behind it prove to know what they are doing.
243  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why do some people hide to gamble on: May 31, 2024, 04:07:42 PM
Anyhow you gamble to win, you can continue using the strategy, if hiding to gamble is what is favouring you, you can continue using it to gamble but ensure your winning is more higher than your losing.
I don't understand what you are saying here. Hiding while gambling is not a strategy to make wins in gambling. It is the bet and games you play that determines your wins or loses. If you choose to hide whenever you are gambling i feel you will not be relaxed and comfortable to gamble because you will be watching if someone is seeing you do so. In my opinion the most favorable and conducive way to gamble is to use your smart phone or any gadget. Then the next thing is to pay attention to our bets without caring if someone is noticing us. As far as i know it is not a crime to gamble and i choose to gambler whenever i want as long as i am not inconveniencing anyone.
I believe he was just kidding with his remark because I do not see any sense in it as the complete statement has a neutral tone in my view. For worth it worth, I see no reason why I would be hiding to gamble, if I am not up to the task, bold or aged enough, why then do it? This is better than hiding to gamble, it shows that I do not have a mind of my own and trying to live my life to please others, no, I will not do that. I do what I am proud of and avoid what I am not proud of, and I make sure that I take responsibility for whatever I do, so since no one will take that responsibility for me, why respect/fear people more than myself and more than what I believe?

This is why I do my thing the way and how I want it, but of course, my gambling is always private, this is because I gamble online and since my gadget is private, so is my gambling. This is not purposefully to avoid people seeing me, but because I love my comfort and privacy, these are different things. Had it been there is no means to be gambling in my privacy, oh boy, I would gladly be gambling wherever it is possible without giving it a thought about what anyone would think or say about me. It is my life, bro, I live it the way I like.

Nonetheless, one thing I make sure of is that I do not lead an irresponsible lifestyle which I am so proud of myself for, so I will continue to do me.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: People keep asking me to borrow money, some of them for betting on: May 31, 2024, 11:50:42 AM
Some people even go so far as to ask me to borrow money for what? to bet!! What a joke. I answer briefly and bluntly that I don't have the money to lend for these purposes!

And the worst thing is that they ask me for small amounts, like $2, 5, 10$... I think that if the person doesn't have that money now, the chances of them getting that money to pay you are low. If the person is in need, it's easier for them to confess right away to see what I can do, because I'm not a bad person.

Do you usually lend money to relatives, friends, etc.? Have you ever felt bad about it, done it unwillingly?

And when they are female friends, do you lend them?
If your friends are asking you to borrow them like $2 or $5, then you should know you want to do a free gift. Cool Many of them may not pay it back and you will surely forget it later if you are blessed with enough. But first, on judging all that you've narrated, what I can say here is that you might not be keeping the right circle of friends, so if you are a comfortable person among many of them who are not comfortable, it is still an issue and there is no way you will not continue to feel their burden and disturbance on you.

This is why it is good to keep the right circle of friends so that none of you will depend on the other for anything, and if at all some are facing one or two challenges, you will surely understand and help. But not in a situation where the friend appears irresponsible always. You can imagine the person who borrowed money from you but was unable to return it as and when due and those ones who are likely to bet with the money borrowed. These are irresponsible friends, to say the least.

Also, yes, I've lent my relative money and it was a big amount of money and was paid even before the stipulated time. This is what we call trust and a responsible act, and I assess very well before I lend my money out as some will not return it back. This has happened to them many times in the past but I've already cut off such a circle of friend. As for female friends, I like to avoid them in this context but give them a bit I can let go of. Should in case she insists and she is responsible at the same time, why not?
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greed can cause a lost bet, (true or false) on: May 31, 2024, 11:20:29 AM
We can lost a bet through our greediness all in the name of increasing the chances for winning bigger amount, in gambling, the higher the risk the higher the winning amount because the odds do increases along side, maybe if we would have settled in for winning small amount and having this continuously or occasionally would be more of advantage to us than aiming big ad having no single opportunity for winning at the end.
Many things can cause a gambler to lose a bet . Of course greed is one of them and in fact I would in this case even tag it as the worst of them all. I have come across cases where a gambler continuously and consecutively hit jackpots for some period of time and instead of them to pause and take a break they continue to stake even to the extent that some of them stake the whole of their previous wins and unfortunately end up losing it all. In fact the idea of being a responsible gambler also entails being able to place bets logically by knowing only what to stake but also when to take a break .
Greed is a very bad attitude in gambling and no gambler is safe from it unless the gambler is disciplined and determined to do the right thing. No serious gambler should just be gambling without a budget and plan, the absence of this is what causes greed, and unless the gambler does not follow his plans and the management calculated per session, then greed and other emotions could creep in and this can't be good at all.

However, I still do not see greed as the worst issue in gambling because it could be momentary, what I see as the worst issue in gambling is desperation as a context. It doesn't matter whether it is the desperation for the money or desperation too achieve a goal through gambling, so long as gambling is involved, then an issue will surely arise.

Desperation also works hand in hand with fear, so I fear fear in gambling than greed because greed is done in a relaxed mood but desperation is birthed by many issues which include fear and could result to something worse if care is not taken. Regardless, the two are bad and we should do all we can to avoid them both.
246  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Understanding the Emergence of Crypto Gambling on: May 31, 2024, 08:55:06 AM
Crypto Betting Strikes Down Stringent KYC (Know Your Customer) Regulations
KYC regulations are rampant in the online sports betting the industry. The reason is that often when we play on a traditional online sportsbook we must fund our accounts via ACH or credit card.

Casino Game Fairness
Although it’s impossible for blockchain technology to help provide live sporting event fairness, if the ref blows a call, only replay can overturn it, blockchain tech does provide casino fairness. By fairness, we mean crypto casino games provide provably fair mechanisms. In other words, when casino players bet on crypto platforms, the players can prove that the outcomes are fair. This is untrue when we play on a traditional online casino platform.

Fast and Cheap Transactions
Cutting out the middle man, i.e., the credit card company, to fund our betting accounts allows for faster and cheaper transactions. Many crypto platforms, Nitrobetting.eu as an example, allow for diverse types of cryptocurrency funding.
Thank you for at least putting a few pieces down for people to understand and appreciate cryptocurrency and its relationship with betting. But still, these are not without some faults, although it is obvious that you are trying to appraise the crypto-casinos but we should not misplace facts by doing so.

To avoid writing an epistle, let me take it one after the other but in a summary note;

1. KYC/Regulation: This was particularly true when crypto casino was newly introduced and it was even partly introduced for that purpose. But regulation has taken over now, so I do not see how this makes it better than fiat in this regard. And if you say that some casinos are still providing a no-KYC service, a few fiat casinos are doing that too. So what?

2. Casino Game Fairness: This is not unique as it is not peculiar to crypto casinos, fiat casinos are providing provably fair service as well.

2. Fast and Cheap Transactions: Well, this is a good remark and it is so true if it is a cross-border deposit we are looking at. But if it is a local casino we are dealing with, a local bank transfer is the fastest and cheapest and it's in fiat.

However, this is not to counter or antagonise you but just remarks to prove that those statements are not just unique to crypto-casino since fiat services can also do them.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Greediness or Addiction -which one is more disastrous? on: May 31, 2024, 08:35:05 AM
It would be the base of experience or just purely an opinion but for me, Greediness is something that would really make us cripple.
"I want to bet more and more in order to win more. I will sell my properties so I can bet huge. " Greediness mindset keeps on the winning side, not satisfaction.

But addiction is a little disastrous, why? Because they can be satisfied with betting a small amount, at least they can gamble.
I don't think it's proper, or better stated as smart to undermine the disastrous tendency of addiction over greed. Greed is mild in gambling issues if you must know and the context of greed is everywhere, you will never see a human being that is not greedy in one facet of life or another. This is partly why the context of greed is even relative as what some people terms as greed may not necessarily mean greed to others. But can you say of such in addiction? Also, if I may ask you, what is most popular when it comes to the issues associated with gambling, is it greed or addiction? Addiction of corse, and this should have hinted to you that addiction is not what you should undermine for whatever reason. It is so destructive to the point that it could cost people their lives.

If you agree with me, most people are not addicted to gambling even as many people could be greedy at one point or the other while gambling, and they should be thankful because it (greed) is momentarily. If you are greedy in a bet now, that doesn't mean you will continue to be betting, No, such a person may just go home and recount his ordeal and perhaps vow not to repeat the same mistake again. Such may even not gamble again for months or weeks to heal from the wound. But it is a different case when you are addicted, you will continue going there whether you are wasting money daily or not, which is bitterly disastrous.

Let me conclude by saying addiction is evil, a waster, it is very terrible and makes sure that you are irresponsible in gambling which will surely affect your living as well, but greed only teaches a painful lesson. However, that is only if the outcome of the betting is negative, but mind you, it is not all greedy bets that comes out negative.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: When you are confident with your picks, do you win most of the time? on: May 31, 2024, 02:22:26 AM
Honestly speaking having confident with my picks, doesn't favour me that much, but when I just pick without putting or having any confident am going to win , most time I always endup winning and it will just look like a joke .

But still that doesn't change anything tho, being confident or not one is still going to lose , because gambling is mainly all about luck, so there's possibility of one going to loss or wins , is just depend on one luck that moment.
Yeah confidence does not guarantee a favorable winning as it always depends on your luck in a particular bet you have placed. I know we all experience this kind of thing where at some point we are confident enough but it always turn against our luck and I consider this thing as normal in the gambling industry.

That's true, there's no guarantee even if we're confident enough in our own pick because if luck doesn't favor us, it will ended up losing out bets. There's an instances that having much confidence in our bet will gives us disappointment in the end because we're hoping to win, but like what everyone say's. gambling is all about losing and winning, it depends to us when is our lucky day.
Confidence does not translate to certainly, and even if we are certain about the picks, it does not still guarantee the winning. We should not also forget that over-confidence is even not good in gambling, it has put a lot of people in trouble, especially those who have let their beliefs/assurance intoxicate them to the extent of wagering too big amount of money but in the end lose the money. This could be painful which is an excellent reason why we should even be careful about this confidence as a context since it is such that should be used in moderation and in such a way that the gambler has planned the right management to lessen any negative effect of it.

Also, gamblers should always know that even if they are very good at what they are doing and have the best possible picks, gambling will always be risky and luck is a strong factor here at the same time. It takes luck for gamblers to have that pick and still win it regardless of how confident such a gambler is towards the choice made.
249  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Foolhardy bets. on: May 31, 2024, 02:05:14 AM
Internet is full of reassuring stories on big gambling wins like ten/hundred -thousand-dollar, or even more, while in most cases the gamblers are losing because they are either not the experts in on gambling they try or have not relevant skills and make foolhardy bets.

I'm sure everyone here involved into gambling has made such reckless bet  at least once in life.

Did such bet/s change  your gambling styles?

Have you become to be more eager in gambling or , on the contrary it has put a chill on you?
I am always happy when I read a thing like this because it often reminds me that I am a better person/gambler because I do not take anything to the extreme, and neither am I moved by what I read online or what anyone tells me. I am always focused and follow my mind so that when I lose, I take the blame 100% confidently as it is my idea and not anybody else's idea.

Mind you, I have never taken any reckless betting before. The time I would have thought to do a thing like that was done with a very low amount of money, so I can't still call that reckless. However, whenever I want to take a big risk, I am never reckless and I weigh my options carefully well even as it is in sports betting that such a thing happens.

But fine, there are times we would lose that chill and want to risk big, nevertheless, my experience in trading has taught me self-control in that regard.
250  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you achieved anything from gambling on: May 31, 2024, 01:44:58 AM

It might be a pleasure if anyone know the bad effects of gambling before gambling. But when the people will loss the fund on gambling whether the person know the bad effects of gambling or not they gambler will be affected and suffered a lot.

Apart from being fun, it will also have a good impact, namely reducing the number of gamblers who will enter. If someone already knows and understands very well about the bad impacts that often occur from other gamblers, then the lay person will probably think twice about whether he still wants to enter or he just wants enough. Just know about the activities of other gamblers and just watch
When a person gambles and loses cash, other gamblers may stop gambling after seeing it. However, when a gambler slowly becomes addicted to gambling, even if another gambler loses a large amount of money by gambling, the other gamblers do not learn from his condition, but they continue to gamble constantly. At one point in time they become so addicted to gambling that they cannot come out of the game even if they want to.  A lesson should be learned from the individual as a consequence of gambling so that such a situation does not happen to anyone else.

Concluding your opinion above, it is possible that if a novice gambler sees directly the losses that other gamblers often experience, he will tend to think it would be best to just stop because he anticipates that he will also lose at that time.
However, for gamblers who are addicted, even though they have seen firsthand the losses of other gamblers, it is not certain that they will immediately stop because the influence of this addiction makes a gambler blind to the high risks involved in gambling activities.

People would hardly tell you about their gambling loses especially the addicts to paint a better picture that it isn't ruined them, but it still shows, not everyone can even hide the look on their faces or control the emotions.
Hahaha...but that is not particularly true even if it is true in some situations. For the record, all those people I know who gamble do not hide their losses from me and other people close to them who know they gamble, they will rather tell you with the plain terms we are used to in my country that "the game cut." This means that the ticket has spoiled and it could be a single game that makes the ticket fail, which is why I do not support too many combinations of games, it is so disadvantageous and it is caused by greed.

I like to play independent games, though the wins are not high, yet, the possibility of winning is high, even as it gives me the opportunity to manage my gambling portfolio better amid low-risk playing. If it is casino games too, they will say the same thing if they lose, as I do not think they have anything to hide since we all play games and we know the reality of the game as well. You can't be winning all the time.

However, contrary to your view, it is when the gamblers I know win that they hide it the most. This may be for the reason of not letting people celebrate them and take a bite of the money won in most cases. At times too, the money may not be significant enough to cause a big announcement, except within a limited circle.
251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What strategies do you adopt that can help to make millions in sport betting on: May 31, 2024, 01:07:12 AM
After going through the thread below titled "Who says you can't be a millionaire in sports betting?"
I think it's possible using some sporting strategies. I wish to know which strategy have you been using to win big as a gambler.
Yes, you read the guy right, you can make millions through sports betting and become wealthy. All you need to do is to be at the top of your game and you will be just fine. Sports betting is a viable section of gambling and the one that is fairer for that matters because no house manipulation here, what you bet is what you get. With good experience, management and plans, I am sure that gamblers can find it easy to stay in profit with sports betting and still have minimal losses which the proper management will even easily take care of.

What works best for me in this regard is the way I bet on a single match with a good amount of money, which was what I voted for in your poll as well. It is so convenient for me and independent of other games, but it doesn't have to be a big amount of money all the time. The most times I bet with the big money at a go are the times of crucial matches like the final match of a league or tourney. Otherwise, I might divide that big money into 5-7 parts for different matches that are independent of one another and it is mostly fine in my experience so far.
252  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The Rise of Autonomous Car Racing on: May 31, 2024, 12:51:18 AM
-snip-
Would you bet on an autonomous vehicle? How do you feel about placing your wagers on a race where the competitors are machines rather than humans?
Let me start by saying that this is a good development technological-wise, but in human gains, popularity and development, it is never a plus no matter what anyone says. I read about this a while ago and I can only feel for the next-generation racers, we are deviating from humans too much these days, and though it may look like nothing now, it will affect this aspect over time.

Besides, I still expect imperfection in this arrangement, for now, we should expect a lot of flaws, accidents and some ugly behaviours from the AIs. I hope the organisers make provisions for that to avoid much damage to properties and to avoid causing loss of lives when the AI-driven cars move away from their routes.

Can I bet on it? certainly not, for now, it is too risky, to say the least. Perhaps with time, after the automobiles have established good names for themselves in this area, I may consider. But we should know that we are betting on the best technology in this regard, so take that as how I feel about this development. Mine is to locate the company that can do it better and bet on their cars.
253  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: I just woke up and saw wins in my gambling app on: May 31, 2024, 12:29:32 AM
sometimes things that we don't really expect will come true, but instead come true, like what happened to you. you initially played carefree and just for fun, but what happened was that you won your gambling. this proves that gambling is closely related to a person's luck. no matter how hard a gambler pursues their victory, if luck is not on their side, then they will never win. on the other hand, when they are lucky, no matter what, they will still win the gambling.
I wouldn't call it recklessness though, he only did his bit and left the rest to fate to decide and with time, it became a success. This is the story of many old gamblers as well, especially those who are busy or did not have so much relevance placed on that certain bet due to one reason or another. All I can say of this is that he is lucky, nothing else and he even admitted to it by himself. He is lucky because if luck did not come into play when he was dire in need of it, the game could have resulted in something else. But notwithstanding, he did a good job initially because it is not an easy task to combine the right matches that eventually come to be as chosen to have warranted that winning. And since it is sports betting we are talking about, then kudos to the guys as well for a game well played as luck is not the only factor here but skills as well.
254  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: May 31, 2024, 12:13:36 AM
Agree with this mate as you are right that anyone can even predict all the outcome of our bets. Cause we can  not say that every our bet we will win. In reality gambling is base on luck not even the genius people  will win 100x+ consecutive bet. Even though there's a chance every time we analyze our bet and win but not totally all the time cause there's a chance that still we have our badluck and we are always loss. But if we have our luck on our side then we will win a good amount of money.

It seems to me that brilliant gamblers don't aim to win a hundred bets in a row. They are quite enough to win 60-70% of bets and then their strategy becomes profitable. Of course, to become such a gambler must spend years of his life, not one suitcase of money and fray a lot of nerves, but someone still manages to do it. I have always believed that brilliant gamblers are some of the smartest people, because to beat the system one luck is not enough.
You are making a very good point, but first, those gamblers who are happy winning 60-70% must be betting on sports and not on casinos to make that possible, if not, I will not agree to that. This is because casino betting is merely a function of luck and nothing else, anyone who states otherwise is just deceiving himself. No one knows the person that will win the next game in the casino and no one will know the magnitude of the winning as well because the algorithms at which casinos play with are determinants here even as the house is the main beneficiary and no matter how good you think you are in playing a certain game, you can't beat the computer codes. Can you?

Are you getting it now? But one may still try to limit the effects of losses and the uncertainty caused by the house edge here, and this is best done by managing both ourselves (in terms of our emotions and general psychology to avoid losing it or getting addicted) and our general gambling portfolio. However, with sports betting, you can earn better because the odds are even in your favour and that of the house. All you need to do is to be a serious gambler who knows what he is really doing even as you manage your way to success.
255  Economy / Exchanges / Re: NoOnes P2P exchange on: May 30, 2024, 11:58:16 PM
I am happy about this, but this is not because I do not have many options for my P2P exchange but the way my country's government is threatening the P2P initiative and blaming the woes of the national currency on it. Can you imagine? For this, it is good for me to have the knowledge of as many as possible P2P services should in case they start their charade again trying to blame something else for their failure. I hope they do not push us too much to the point that we get angry.
Out of curiosity, how do you guys sell and buy Bitcoins, given that your Government decided to ban p2p trading?
Although there are threats from the government here and there to many companies offering P2P despite not having jurisdiction over them. I also heard and read that they've written threat letters to all possible platforms offering P2P all over the world, but in all, it is Binance and OKX (which has a presence in the country) yielded. Others dare them and currently still offering their P2P service to the citizens of my country.

I possibly do not know how the government could be so naive to think that they can threaten external companies when you have nothing to hold against them. They want to force us to use the local exchangers (not exchanges this time) which is extorting. I don't think anyone will yield to that. You can imagine exchanging your money with an insane spread that could have claimed over 10% of the money. People are not even looking towards that angle and thanks to the adamant exchanges that never listened to the threat of the government. They banned the websites of the exchanges through the ISP in the country but their gullibility did not make them look towards the apps that are still working fine. Grin

Well, that's the case for now, it could get worse later. Cheers!
256  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Religion. Beliefs or Choices? on: May 30, 2024, 05:16:24 PM
There are some religions that have strict views on gambling, some considering it morally wrong. However, people still gamble for various reasons.

Have you ever faced any conflicts between your religious beliefs versus gambling? How it happen and how did you handle it?
How do different religions view gambling? What could be the reasons behind it?
My friend, I am trying as much as possible to preserve my soul and sanity beyond religion. If one follows what all these regions state, one may not even enjoy his life. Whereas most of these things preached by religions are people's make, some are merely ideals of idolized people and ancestors' writings that have become a tradition. This is why much of what some religious people preach can't be proven in their various books. And as a Christian, anything you can't prove to me in the Holy Bible, you can't force me or convince me to do it, that's my principle to bend some of these dos and don'ts.

This religious issue and restriction has lingered for so long and on a deeper thought about the whole thing, I discovered that people are merely living by it based on what they are led to do and nothing more. Still, I wonder why the extremists think and act the way they do, is it not what you were led to believe? What if it is a lie from the beginning and the truth is already buried? This is why we should moderate things and never be excessive simply because of the region.

As for gambling itself, so far I am an adult, I do not steal anybody's money to gamble and I do not waste myself gambling (irresponsible gambling), then I have no conscience in this regard. I am a free man by the grace of God.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How did/do you handled a gambling addict story. on: May 30, 2024, 03:38:17 PM
Gambling addiction can be very terrible and frustrating that it affects both your financial and emotional wellbeing.  There are lots of gamblers out there in the open struggling with gambling addiction  wishing to share their pains with someone who could understand, but they don't actually know the right person(s) to confide in about the pains they bear as they fear that they will be judged, criticized and the rest.
This is the price that most gamblers have to pay for being naive about it and undermining the risk in it. The gambling addiction is now common, but I believe it is mostly common for the money people want to get from it. They are so desperate about this, and it often leads to frustration and depression after they are fully addicted to it. All these are unnecessary if they learned and were before warned and take gambling as it is to guard against the issues associated with it.

As for who to talk to, well, it could be challenging, especially if you are not in a civilised area. Nevertheless, if the person has the opportunity to locate a support group, it will help further, particularly if such a person is avoiding close people to know of his predicament.

I had this conversation with a stranger today, he had to tell me a few things he's struggling with with his gambling habit and how he had tried to put an end to it but finds himself going back to same habits thereafter. And he felt that  talking to somebody about it will help his state but instead the person he felt comfortable talking to about was so judgemental towards him which had made him resort to self-help but nothing has really changed.
It's nice that a person could reach out to you, at least it will relieve the burden he was carrying alone. From there, I believe that you should be able to access the case based on what you can judge directly from him, and possibly refer him to a support group or professionals like a therapist, psychologist, psychiatrist etc will go a long way in helping him.

Has anyone gambling addict shared his situation with you and how did you handled it? please come clean about it let's learn from each other.
No! No one has reached out to me about gambling, but reached out to a guy 2 years ago about his gambling addiction, it was obvious. He promised to change and I discovered he changed, although I wasn't the only one who advised him in that regard.

You can refer to the earlier replies for the rest.

-snip-
I noticed that people now don't actually know their main points of them gambling, some people gamble to earn daily and some people just gamble cause they saw their friends won in gambling. That's how they develop their gambling lifestyle and from their they get addicted to it. I've over heard people complaining about them losses, for me I think they don't know the main points of gambling. What do you think about this people losses much? Does it mean they don't know the main points of gambling?
What I can say here is that the mindset of most gamblers is not right from the onset and this is very bad. In this sense, there is nothing they can do that will be right because anxiety will linger as most people will not even view gambling in a neutral way and will not even view it as a revenue to have fun, but a means to make money, which is very wrong and infesting. This is why I often implore people to learn gambling before dabbling into it, they should not undermine it just because it is an informal avenue that is easily accessible. They should know that it is very risky and can cost them more than the money they lose.

Also, people should learn how to preserve their minds when gambling, and even if you have a weak mind, you should find ways to work around it to avoid more issues for yourself or you should steer clear of gambling. Gambling can infest you and get you addicted if care is not taken, but with a strong mind, one may say No, and that ends it. But that is for those people who have strong minds that can help their Willpower. Otherwise, it will only grow worse.

And for those who have a weak mind, a simple cautiousness is key here, it will help them in preserving their doings towards it so that it will not entirely give in to gambling. Above all, let us all learn discipline in gambling and never think of it as a means of making money, otherwise, it will collect more money from us and also make our lives miserable.
259  Economy / Gambling / Re: Casinos not asking for KYC to register and play, but do require it to withdraw on: May 30, 2024, 02:58:43 PM
At this point we cannot see that this is something to surprise us because we all know that casinos when they are starting out are a complete love, but when the casinos start to add more licenses then the demands are much greater and everything begins to be more difficult, I am clear that winning in a casino is difficult, and one of the things that makes it more difficult is the KYC to withdraw, and I am of the type that when I win I like to withdraw to enjoy my winnings, so it is a thousand Sometimes it is better to choose a good casino, do the KYC and then withdraw and win, that is what has become the best way to avoid tantrums.

They must be honest from the start not unless their operating country added those security then they have no choice but to comply.but as long as they are not being asked then stay to their rules and not changing just to harass withdrawals .

But they are honest from the start. They never hide that they might ask for verification at some moment. It is gamblers fault that they dont read rules, ToS or FAQ.

I find it simple, dont want to pass KYC, dont gamble. All that anonymity and privacy are excuses most of the time. If we talk about crypto gamblers, then those people have already left a lot of "foot steps", so much private info in the internet during their lifetime, that hiding behind "I dont want to lose privacy" sounds like a joke. Many deposit from wallet address from exchanges they have verified and used credit cards on for fiat exchange, that their "I will never upload my passport to casino" sounds like absurd.

Good for casino that didn't say something about that they are not KYC compliant casino and have license since we can assume easily that they would require this KYC requirements to their costumers. But for casino always telling something that they are not a KYC compliant casino and put something about it on the title of their thread that their casino is KYC free.

Then with that we can really have a problem regarding on their implementation since if there's a sudden changes and they asked this especially when we request a withdrawal from their casino then I will think about that casino is fooling us and do some suspicious activity just to delay or trying to do some excuse for us not to get our money from them. We must avoid those casino doing this trapping activities.
People must really know that KYC became a normal requirement and if a gambler want to proceed then comply but if not as you said they better quit and not to gamble anymore since this will just give them discomfort while playing for worrying such requirements might be asked from them.

KYC has been part of the game for a long time, and many casinos allow you to proceed with KYC after registration. Just check this option, and you don't need to wait for withdrawal!
That's good advice, I do not know why people like to cry foul when it is obvious that what they are complaining about is not wrong. There are laid down rules in casinos' terms and conditions of offering, we can't change that and the ignorance of it doesn't exonerate us no matter what. But attacking casinos will only show our folly. This is why the way of operation of casinos should be well-known before signing up for them and so far they never preached to you that they will not ask for the KYC, it is upon you to complete it soon or later even if they did not ask. However, if you did not complete it and they ask you to complete it later due to one reason or another, they are still within their right in all entirety.
260  Economy / Gambling / Re: Q01 - What's your favourite casino and what makes this casino best one? :) on: May 30, 2024, 02:29:19 PM
Lol...OP no one is going to stone you, or your conscience is pricking you? But what I'm curious about is how you write the name of the casino when you are seeking suggestions from us. That is suspicious because these days on the forum, people are now wiser in making adverts in such a regard that most people will not suspect. And the more you make this thread active, the better you propagate that name.

That is by the way though, it may not be so but most likely so. Regardless, if you need a serious casino to replicate an idea, why not take a look at Stake.com, you are not going to regret it. However, another curiosity is that someone like you should have known what casinos and gambling sites have to offer on average instead of asking people. The reason is that if you are not deeply rooted in yourself, you may not get the idea you seek. Targeting the most popular and reputable ones is enough, and they are not difficult to locate.

I believe people only help better in testing and giving feedback when the platform is ready.
