Any long term review on the antminer L3 here? I have not seen a lot out there being sold as second hand.
This isn't exactly what you're looking for, but we've shipped 60 L3+ thus far between the May and July batches and have seen a 0% defect rate. It could be luck, but that's better than anything we've seen since the AntMiner S5s and S7s.

HI I DON'T UNDERSTAND A WORD YOU SAID HAHA , ENGLISH PLEASE WILL IT BE WORTH IT OR NOT HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO ROI? WHY ARE YOU YELLING? Nobody knows, everyone's just guessing. You might as well be asking what the weather will be like on October 20th. All we know is that it will be colder than it is now (difficulty will be higher). How much? It's hard to say because there are multiple manufacturers pumping out ASICs at the same time and even they don't know how many each other are delivering. Bitmain will likely release the bulk of the hashing power. I personally feel it will be worth it and very profitable - but I could be wrong.

Does anyone have any idea how many D3s are going to be released in the past 3 batches? I was doing some calculations on difficulty and hashrate and came up with 1 GH/s adds about 22.5 to difficulty. So, one D3 would add 337.5 at 15 GH/s. I'm trying to see if it would be worth getting some in their next release.
Rumor has it; Batch 1 = 200 units Batch 2 = 3000 units Batch 3 = 3500 units If so....by your calculations an additional 2,328,750 Difficulty from current? Real numbers are: B1: 250 07/18/2017 B2: 3300 07/20/2017 B3: 35000 08/03/2017 That can't be correct. I'm fairly certain that I personally know of more than 250 units being delivered from batch 1. I'd believe 2500. Also, those batch 3 numbers are completely bogus too. The 35000 number was derived from querying some web hooks on Bitmain's site and somebody made the assumption that it represented units sold and units remaining. The people spreading this FUD are either wrong or just trying to scare others into not purchasing so that the initial batches can be more profitable for longer.

Has any one got a decent Litecoin mining set up they would advise using? Thanks
You can try purchasing Antminer L3+. It is the most efficient litcoin miner untill now. It can give you a good profit of maybe 20$-22$ each day. It's pricing on the official site of bitmain would be around 0.7 btc i guess. You can try purchasing it. It is out of stock currently but you can try contacting BITMAIN for the next sale and you can stay update to the site. $20-$22 per day is the low end of what you should be earning. We're still seeing ~$50 by using the L3+ to mine more profitable altcoins using ProHashing.com. Here's a quick setup video showing the profit comparison.

Bitmain is the source. Same email address as the previous batch in which I got one. Maybe bitmain got tired of the wire transfer delays and unpaid orders (tons of people with multiple accounts ordering and not paying so they can sell the account) so they removed it from the options of a hot selling product.
Thanks RealKariverson, I would have never known without this thread!

especially given they used your video on their official Bitmain twitter ! Haha, right? I think you're thinking of VoskCoin's video though. Here's the one you're thinking of. I can't wait to do one for the D3 as soon as they arrive!

We will have quite a few from the first batch available on Amazon starting September 1st. Estimated delivery will be September 30th (but hopefully sooner). We've been a reliable distributor since 2013 and have a 100% Amazon feedback rating. We also offer an additional 30-day warranty and accept returns for defective units to our facility in Michigan.

We are pleased to inform you that we will release a new batch of the Antminer D3 at this link at 5 PM, on 10 August, (GMT+8)!
Shipping for this batch will start on a “first paid, first ship” basis after 1 November 2017. If we advance the shipment, we will notify you.
Only BTC and LTC payments are accepted as payment methods for this batch. New batch of D3s in a couple days. Seems like Gigawatt did indeed have inside info about bitmain batches. Where did they post that? I'm. It seeing it in their twitter feed or forum posts. Email. Maybe they email previous buyers a couple days earlier. I wish they were more consistent with their emails. I have purchased every item they've made since the S1 and rarely get emails from them about new products.

hi guys, just curious with regards to the warranty if it's valid if i sell my miner after a few months?
Bitmain has been hit-or-miss with this policy. They have stated that they don't allow for transferring warranties, but you can usually get service as long as you know the original order number - just don't voluntarily tell them that you purchased it from someone else and you shouldn't have a problem. Unfortunately I have been spending a LOT of UN-QUALITY time with Bitmain through their support for the last 3 MONTHS. And this information regarding warranty support will not help you. I purchased some miners through a reseller. I attempted to get support through Bitmain. When you open the ticket for support they look up your account info to see if you purchased the miners from them. The web site immediately tells you that if you proceed any repairs that are done will be done as a charge to you. The only way to get these covered by warranty is to go back to the person/company you bought the miners from and to have them file the ticket on your behalf and work it that way. Sadly when I went back to the reseller the Bitmain policy is to require the entire miner to be sent back even though when I talked to Bitmain support the L3 miner did not require the entire miner to go back. So the policy that Bitmain has with resellers is different than Bitmain directly. Now all of that being said even if you send the parts directly to Bitmain and pay for the repair the repair cost with Bitmain is very affordable. And the ability to send back a board or boards and continue to mine with the remaining boards is a bonus. BUT be prepared that anything that goes back to Bitmain for repair could take a month or longer. The last couple of repairs took 1.5 month EACH repair. So if you are buying from someone you will want to know if they are willing to help you if you need support. If you bought through a reseller you won't have as many options and likely will have to send the entire miner back. I hope that helps clarify some of the rules with Bitmain. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be glad to help. It seems like it depends a lot on who you talk to over there. I suppose that's one of the reasons so many people purchase these things on Amazon. Credit cards and 30-day return policies ftw!

Long time miner here that has never actually used a Bitmain PSU. With that said, I took the dive on a couple when I pre-ordered D3's.
Quick question... from the images, it looks like the APW3++ uses a C13 power cord connection. Please confirm/deny! Thanks for your help!
Confirmed, it uses a C13 connector just like a regular ATX power supply. Here's a YouTube video that shows it up close for you.

This seems really peculiar. Bitmain hasn't announced or released a "batch 4" for November, yet Gigawatt is selling them? That's ballsy to say the least. Furthermore, Gigawatt doesn't have any way of knowing they'll get the hundreds of D3s they're selling. Considering Bitmain's past disdain for Gigawatt, I highly doubt they would allow them access to pre-order before anyone else. I'd stay clear of this.

You are missing something here! Did you notice that they are selling you used products ? You put a preorder now they take your money, building 5 miners and put them to mine.... After 1 month they ship it to you.... who is the looser here ? Yeah I saw an article stating they had found Bitmain was shipping used miners as NEW. Apparently miners arrived with dust on boards and some other sign of being used. Yup - There's no such thing as a "new" AntMiner. Bitmain tests all of them for at least 72 hours (usually longer). While they're obviously profiting immensely, it also means we're much less likely to get a dead miner when delivered. Seems like a reasonable practice to me. After all, they clearly told us *when* the miners would ship. They didn't say anything about shipping as soon as they were ready. If they were mining AND delayed delivery - that would be cause for anger.

Batch 3 (Aug 03) 35,000 Units
bullshit. sales were open for ~1hr, that's 583 units per minute. not likely. I don't think sales even lasted that long. It was more like 20 minutes - most of which everyone spent refreshing the page attempting to get a response.

you could still pre order on itopshop for oct batch.
Anyone use these guys before? They appear to only be accepting bitcoin and wire transfer - which is not necessarily suspicious, but I have trouble trusting anyone these days .
|
|
|
...but they dont limit the number of units sold per house hold...
Batch 1 was limited to 100 units per customer, whereas each successive batch has been limited to 50 units per customer. That's still a lot, but there are limits.

The simplest solution is to not allow addresses or phone numbers to be changed on an order. As a miner and a reseller who actually purchases these and ships them from within the United States with an additional 30-day warranty, these vultures are just begging for some heavy handed action from Bitmain that will hurt more than just the people creating the problems.
