241  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: MXC Exchange – One-stop Service Provider on: July 24, 2020, 10:12:49 PM
There are plenty of reports that MXC has the most unreliable withdrawal service on the market.

Other people say that MXC also blocks withdrawals for some users without explanation... Any response to these accusations? MXC's name is absolute dirt in Telegram trading circles.
242  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Interesting research on Satoshi and his motives and actions on: July 24, 2020, 09:17:04 PM
It's quite obvious that Satoshi is either benevolent, unable to access his coins, or dead.

I highly doubt he's simply playing the long game because I don't think anybody's hands are strong enough to avoid dumping anything when you've got $10 billion sitting in your wallet.

Maybe he's worried that the myriad blockchain analytics firms will hunt him down if he does so?
243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How much you earn in bounty hunting for the year 2019-2020 on: July 24, 2020, 07:50:17 PM
Only the absolute shittest of projects run a bounty campaign for the most part. This is because they can't afford to hire a marketing team they pay a bunch of Bitcointalk shillers to spam the forum, Telegram and social media.

If you want to earn money, start looking into profitable low cap altcoins and do your own research. Or throw your time away on these random projects, your choice.
244  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PayPal are reportedly planning to bring crypto to it's users using Paxos. on: July 24, 2020, 06:04:31 PM
I don't see why they would partner with a random like Paxos, when they could just bring these services in-house?

They're a multi-billion dollar company, and providing cryptocurrency brokerage services isn't exactly the hardest thing in the world...

maybe they're just trying to avoid the regulatory hurdles before going solo later on.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: 20-Year-Old Robinhood Customer Dies By Suicide After Seeing A $730,000 Negative on: July 24, 2020, 04:35:36 PM
I don't get why people trade on such high leverage, they're just asking to be rekt. I also don't think that platforms like Robinhood shoud allow positions to fall into negative balance... They should much more stringent margin call requirements when trading on such high leverage, and only allow the least volatile assets to be traded on leverage at all.

Either way, why kill yourself over it? They can't get blood from a stone, just go bankrupt.
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which are your top 5 coins for HODL? on: July 23, 2020, 09:35:48 PM
It is difficult to say which top5 coins are best to HODL to, specially since this can change so rapidly and it is also dependent on the person - are they short- or long-term holders. When it comes to choosing the coins I tend to look at the market cap and fro there predict how much more can the coin pump, has it got potential left. For day trading this is ideal, but for long term I like to stick to the old ones i.e. ETH
247  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin sites - Alexa ranking on: July 23, 2020, 09:17:02 PM
I'm suprised that the first place isn't bitcoin.org neither bitcoin.com, but blockchain.com:
https://www.alexa.com/siteinfo/blockchain.com

The surprise isn't to be all that unexpected as Alexa only gathers information on the last few months. This is why you see this ranking. You can be confident about the true ranking by looking at the coinmarketcap as you can look at all the data. Also, I wouldn't be too surprised even if blockchain.com comes first since most people misunderstand BTC but not the technology.

248  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally some justice, scammer sent to jail at South Korea. on: July 23, 2020, 04:49:48 PM
A man was sentenced to 2.5 years for his involvement in a 249 million scam, it seems the two main culprits have escaped overseas....

While it is nice that at least a scammer has to face the justice system at the same time I am disappointed by this short sentence. What do you think of this?

I personally don't believe in the justice system. To me it makes no sense how for some trials you get a sentence for 7 years just by stealing a loaf of bread, while in some cases you get 2-3 years for money laundering or drug dealing.

In this particular circumstance, it seems that the scam was successful at fooling people as you wouldn't give your money away as investment without seeing any proof of the mining or some sort of expected return. As for his 2.5 year sentence I can't say I agree or disagree as I do not know the full extent of the story.
249  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Day Trading: How to Get Started & How to Win on: July 22, 2020, 10:40:12 PM
The article is quite nice and is very detailed/exhaustive but I think there's a lot of information you'd have to cover to get through everything but I think it might be a good starting point for novices to work out what to do with trading...

Without a solid strategy a lot of people seem to lose money more often than they gain and sometimes people end ip with a false positive (in gambling referred to as a "streak") too where they'll inevitably lose. A lot without taking their profits at a good time.

Do you know what? I was a little skeptical at first but once I started reading the article I found myself reach to the end of it. Now that I've read it I don't mind you pumping this article because it has good content and its informative. So much so that others might find useful. Good job!
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Never invest in any cryptocurrencies! on: July 22, 2020, 09:07:38 PM
Getting crypto by doing something like doing a task and or other jobs and services I think that is the best way for you to get crypto with the skills they have and also, if they only expect to get rich quick then of course that is the way it will be difficult to achieve, but if they aim to get rich by working hard through a long process then I don't think it's wrong in that way because the most important thing is to appreciate a process and there is no quick profit and no quick way to get rich because success requires a process.

I agree with you that irrespective of the way you go about it there's time and effort that one must put in to get the reward either this being 'too fast' i.e. making money quick, or not. The difference between some people and their success is the 'doing' and taking risks and not just saying for the sake of it which what some people on here seem to be. There's also the element of extreme luck but that's nothing you can do about.
251  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 22, 2020, 06:19:45 PM
I understand your position, we should focus more on the technology than the pricing, while the aforementioned narrative is important, we can't rule out speculators, I personally think this speculators add spices to the whole market and make the community a very interesting one, this has in several times cause media houses to interview cryptocurrency influences and use same opportunity to educate the people about bitcoin.   We just need to look at both sides.

I agree with the overall argument that we should all be more considerate and be treating digital currency for the innovation it is rather than for a way to make money fast - though, I think that with the right skills and time you could do.

While I understand the frustration most of these people share about price speculators contributing to these price volatility waves I believe it is important to make others aware specially if this info comes from reputable people to either attract new investors or to at least shed some light on the projection of the future market price - this I think is completely fine.

It attracts more reads and in the long run it may help with adoptability. It is the trash talk/s that need to be filtered out but unfortunately this is the world of the internet today!
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading Lesson: Stop loss Strategies on: July 21, 2020, 11:01:55 PM
Great thread, definitely something that a lot of newbies need to see since they often forget or don't know they need to put a stop loss in place.

I personally set my stop loss at below the point at which the cryptocurrency was last trading horizontally.

This helps me avoid getting stopped out by pump and dumpers or scam wicks.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin will NEVER reach it's ATH anymore. on: July 21, 2020, 10:22:32 PM
The only way Bitcoin is going to increase its value and even begin to approach its all time highest value is by gaining additional utility and/or adoption.

Until more people actually start using Bitcoin for their everyday transactions, there is no need for it to continue growing. It's not designed to be a speculative instrument, it's designed to be a mode of payment. Act like it, and it'll grow in value.
254  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Binance compared to other Crypto Exchange. on: July 21, 2020, 09:26:06 PM
Binance is definitely one of the best platforms in my experience. It's got a huge range of different feature to use, beyond just simple trading, like staking, saving, and trading competitions.

I'd definitely like to see them get involved in the defi lending space though. I wouldn't be surprised if they dont launch their own DeFi Dapp soon, the same goes for Tron too since they're always jumping on the bandwagon for new trends.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Technical analysis won't help you find the next 100x on: July 21, 2020, 08:20:43 PM
If you want to get the next 30, 50 or 100x, then your best bet is to invest during the private sale round.

To do this, you'll usually need contacts to the project and a significant sum to invest (usually around $10k+).

You'll also need to sift through potentially hundreds of trash projects to find the one that has the chance of really popping off.
256  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Coronavirus Help Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency - Debate about with Valutainment on: July 21, 2020, 06:15:19 AM
To me all the facts he gave make sense like everything about banks that were bashing it and then started buying in secret.

I found this discussion interesting. While I like Max and some of his points I must say that the strongest disagreement is one one of his points. No bank had insights before hand to be able to buy in secret. In fact that statement makes no sense at all - why would buying in secret be so sacred?

As for the virus helping our crypto, I think yes and no. Yes, as it might have contributed to more awareness and no because investors got cold feet and weren't as risk averse.

257  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Tron's Justin Sun Offers $1 Million Bounty For Twitter Hackers on: July 20, 2020, 05:49:08 PM
Yup, the bounty is real and the bounty is Big. So with just those few words I'm almost certain that the hacker will be caught and brought before light. Nobody would pass on such a generous bounty. I expect there'll be many false claims just to acquire the money but then that in itself is another issue altogether.
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: July 20, 2020, 05:01:51 PM
Those using fake details for kyc are doing that at their own risk because once the team finds out they use fake details, the next thing is to freeze the account will probably may make them lose their fund if it is an exchange account and if it is for claiming bounty or Airdrop reward, then they are at loss aswell.

I must say that I agree with what's @B.wealth is saying. Fake details to verify your KYC is dangerous as your money could be stollen/taken by anybody this includes if the platform get hacked or busted as there will be no way for you to prove a fake identity. Play it safe
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: It's always about your choice on: July 19, 2020, 10:41:32 PM
What makes a bounty manager better? It's not about the success of the projects they introduce, it's about

1. How the handle the campaign
2. It's about fulfilling what was promised to bounty hunters
3. It's about fighting the fair fights for bounty hunters

The success of a bounty project is not in the hand of a bounty manager, the ball is in your courts, you are responsible for the bounty projects you choose, if they fail it's never bounty managers fault. Always remember this.

By definition a bounty manager's main responsibility is the bounty hunters and how these people work to promote and advertise the project so in some respect I agree that bounty managers are there to mainly fight for the bounty hunters to ensure that their efforts are being paid for.

I do however disagree that they're completely not related to the success of the project. Instead, I think there's a fine thread, where in some cases the manager can be held responsible if the bounty hunters haven't done a proper job as a direct close supervision failure from the manager itself. The level of responsibility though is and should be set clearly prior to committing to the role - but overall I think there's room of liability for 'some' managers
260  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What if you knew Huobi's private key? on: July 19, 2020, 08:35:30 PM
What I would do if I'd get my hands on the money  Huh Hmm, I'd use that money to invest into property development as this is quite a lucrative industry. Apart from this I'd also re-invest some into crypto coins and perhaps a little spread towards stock investments.

Nearly anything can be done with money and there are so many ways to spend money but an investor always thinks about how to make more money with the existing money and that's investment for you!
