Winklevoss Twins to Help Adapt ‘Bitcoin Billionaires’ Book for Film

Quote
As reported by Deadline on Monday, the twins will work with Stampede Ventures to turn “Bitcoin Billionaires” by Ben Mezrich into a movie. Stampede is an entity created by Greg Silverman, formerly Warner Bros.’ president of production, to fund blockbuster entertainment.

If we see the twins walking the Hollywood red carpet, every last satoshi will be bought.

I dunno.  The rich, gentrified, polo/country/rowing club white dude vibe is not exactly tops in the world right now.  They better get Arthur to walk with them.  Or on them.

*ducking*

They can take some artistic liberties. Certainly they can find a pair of handsome, young, black twin actors. They can modify the story a bit to make them grow up in the Baltimore housing projects or something.

I don't want to pay taxes, but it's better than getting my ass pounded in prison.  Undecided

That's some strong ass hopium.

I'll throw this out there too, from AnonyMint:

I recall reading a while back that there were no documented cases of transmission outdoors. That was probably 2-3 months ago though.

I would prefer an opaque blockchain. Privacy and fungibility are pretty important aspects for a currency - especially a blockchain-based one where the entire history of every unit is public knowledge otherwise.

Why $8.1K Will Be a Key Level for Bitcoin Price for the Next 6 Months

Bitcoin may not break $10,000 for some time as several metrics point to possible pullbacks to under $9,000.

Bulltards won!

Maybe it would happen. Alternatively, Fed will go full MMT, which would be good for btc &gold, I assume.
Thinking of buying a bit of physical-never did before. Worth it?

I dunno. People look at the gold/silver dollar ratio, and figure it's gotta revert to the mean at some point. That would be very bullish for silver.

An alternate thesis is that silver is losing its status as a monetary asset. If so, it'll keep dropping in price until it reaches its industrial-use-only price level.

I've got some silver. I'm not looking to buy more ATM. Though if I didn't have a stash of junk silver (e.g., pre-1964 US quarters, dimes, etc.). I'd be looking for a standard bag of that for use as TEOTWAWKI currency.

I have some silver too, but I'm now in the camp that it's been in the process of debasing for the last 5,000 years or so. As far as I'm concerned now, it's gold or nothing, in terms of physical metals.

Blame the newcomer, not the 50 year career politician running for office for the umpteenth time or the Clinton / Bush houses who suddenly are angels of morality.

I don't think power reveals at all. In fact the opposite is more true.

I think the ones who really have power are better at hiding their true intentions and hunger for power behind words, propaganda and deflection.

They did. Trump reversed it.

Quote
The move rescinds limits on the Pentagon handouts that were put in place by President Barack Obama in 2015 amid a national debate over policing touched off by a spate of high-profile deaths of black men at the hands of the police, including the shooting death in 2014 of 18-year-old Michael Brown, in Ferguson, Mo., by a white officer. Some local residents viewed police use of military equipment during the ensuing protests as an unnecessary show of force and intimidation.

In a speech to the Fraternal Order of Police in Nashville, Mr. Sessions said Mr. Obama had made it harder for the police to protect themselves and their neighborhoods.

Oh you are so right, I forgot that Obama passed that law about outlawing cops putting a knee on someone's neck for 8 minutes, and Trump reversed it...   /s  Roll Eyes

So if you want to debate, try not to make yourself look too foolish.

Hold up a sec,  I think it is possible that there is something we have all been missing in this.  Perhaps the reason the cops need military hardware to do their job...is because they have been given the wrong job.

https://www.zerohedge.com/markets/taibbi-where-did-policing-go-wrong

It's the wrong job from our perspectives down here as lowly serfs. As long as we obey and keep paying taxes, we have nothing to worry about, right?

I like Trump, but dislike the way he's handled this situation, among others. Fuck the police.

Right. Like the peaceful, non-violent protesters who burned the church down.
Also, Source: Washington Post. That might as well have been a DNC press release.

No, that was last night. Note the lack of sun, which happens when it's night.

This was today, different time, and different people. Can you cite any damage being done today at that place at that time by the protesters there this evening?

Should we tear gas and shoot peaceful protesters?

So much for all of your tear gassing and shooting peaceful protestors:

Quote
After thousands of false tweets, print stories, and broadcast stories to the contrary, local journalist Neal Augenstein of WTOP reported that a Park Police source said “tear gas was never used — instead smoke canisters were deployed, which don’t have an uncomfortable irritant in them.” Further, the source said the crowd was dispersed because of projectiles being thrown by the “peaceful protesters” at the Park Police and because “peaceful protesters” had climbed on top of a structure in Lafayette Park that had been burned the prior night.

Surprise, surprise.

Pentarudi/Masterluc newest Update:

"Trade closed: target reached: The target of local short-term triangle is above $11000. Which will trigger break of long term resistance line at around $10000. And this will trigger break of giant long term triangle with target well above all time high.

This is a start of long term bull run. It probably will take around 4 years. After that world will see 10 years of bearish activity.

masterluc's long term calls are worth considering ... bitcoin hasn't had a bull wave longer than ~2 years I don't think (besides the on-going 11 year secular bull), so a 4 year bull run would be something epic and worthy of examining how it might play out.

I think because we are in a time of extreme uncertainty (saecular crisis) a lot of the TA is v. undecided, swinging wildly and could go either way right now. BTC has already shown it can be effected by crisis moves on March 13. But the resolution of the crisis can mean major trends are established on the smallest of actions at this critical juncture in time.

I can imagine a 4 year bull scenario where btc grinds higher being fought all the way by the banksters/institutions using fiat future/derivatives games on CME and Bakkt and so not really blowing off until 2024 around the $300k range of PlanB's S2Fx model top for this cycle.

The 10 year bear call is also intriguing ...

Where is Masterluc posting now, anyway? I see nothing since March on his tradingview page and Telegram. Anyway, it sounds a lot like @davthewave's thesis.

I prefer Gemini for quite a few reasons, but basically no shenanigans there and they have their shit together.

@JJG
I am totally gambling with my crypto investment. I’m way over invested, if it all goes to $0 I am still a partner in a business & can live comfortably on what that brings in though.

Bitcoin is my honey pot though, I could sell everything now & pull out a lot of fiat but I have bigger dreams, much bigger. It’s all worked out very well so far.

I trust in the process, end of 2021 = fireworks.

Same. Either it goes to Mars and I get rich, or it goes to $0 and my life stays the same. YOLO

An accountant friend tried telling me to take some profits. I know that's good advice. However, what am I going to do with non-life changing amounts of money? I can already afford to eat what I want, take vacations, whatever. So, I'll let it all ride.  Cool

Peaceful non-violent protest, respect for your city, and respect for your fellow man (no matter what race or class) is the only way to go on this. Anyone who believes otherwise is a fool.
I think the President just ordered the gassing of peaceful non-violent protesters 2 blocks from the White House so he could go and stand in front of a church with a bible.

Quote
In a massive show of force, federal law enforcement officers fired rubber bullets and tear gas at peaceful protesters outside the White House on Monday evening as President Trump appeared in the Rose Garden to announce the mobilization of “thousands and thousands of heavily armed soldiers” to quell “lawlessness” across the country.

Hundreds of protesters were pushed away from Lafayette Square, where they were protesting the killing of George Floyd, by the National Guard, U.S. Park Police and Secret Service. The ambush began half an hour before the city’s newly imposed curfew of 7 p.m. went into effect. When the crowds were cleared, the president walked through the park to visit the historic St. John’s Episcopal Church, which had been set on fire Sunday.

Hm. Interesting.

Right. Like the peaceful, non-violent protesters who burned the church down.
Also, Source: Washington Post. That might as well have been a DNC press release.
