241  Economy / Gambling / Re: SealsWithClubs.eu - 60BTC guarantee tournament Sunday on: July 12, 2012, 12:14:32 PM
thats good to know free! i sometimes wondered that myself since it really does seem like you are giving a ton of btc away (not complaining, but i also wanna see site grow/succeed).  Bitinstant is a good way to get btc very fast and easy. i still have the money sent to the exchanges bc i feel you get a slightly better price but thats just me. for a non bitcoiner the catapult thing is pretty easy.  If you hang around seals long enough you can usually find players willing to sell chips for dwolla etc also.  Today I had a friend ask me about bitcoins because apparently his father in law plays poker for bitcoins and he wants to get in on the action! great sign! although i sure hope i've never fleeced his father in law...
242  Economy / Gambling / Re: A public plea to SealsWithClubs on: July 11, 2012, 01:14:28 AM
yeah xiou, all it took for me was to buy some chips off a friend in cash then word got out and now everyone wants in! (lol i got a few btc out of him at a rlly good rate too!)
243  Economy / Gambling / Re: A public plea to SealsWithClubs on: July 10, 2012, 04:49:35 PM
Yes it could use more people. I personally got a couple people to start playing, that weren't even interested in Bitcoin itself but more for the poker aspect.

yeah i have got a few non btc poker ppl to play. i think thats where the future lies.  what i did was front a few work buddies .25 btc worth of chips each. that gives them 5 entries into the half hour 100 bonus tournament.  even a marginal player can win/place 1 in 5 to keep afloat, there definately isn't the competition that there is for the big btc.  So far it seems to work and more ppl at work have asked for the site addy. of course those buttholes are from another shift, so they can buy their own damnd btc.
244  Economy / Gambling / Re: StrikeSapphire: NEW $0.50 Hourly Freerolls + 15 BTC Weekend Leaderboard is back! on: July 10, 2012, 02:06:32 AM
omg pet is real! i miss her plse tell her i said hi!   i was thinking of checking out strike sapphire bc i like to play poker and gamble and such but the owner is obviously a real tool.  He actually posted a clients deposit history somewhere in the back of those threads. I mean wtf is that?  if you start offering freerolls and promotions on a casino site and expect that they aren't going to be exploited then you were born yesterday, and without internet access.  Seriously, if of all the scammers and exploiters in the btc world you pick out dooglus and pet, who are seriously decent ppl, you are gonna get eaten alive.
245  Economy / Gambling / Re: A public plea to SealsWithClubs on: July 10, 2012, 01:46:01 AM
thanks dooglus! yep i'm illpoet on seals. i keep the same username not so much bc i like it, but that way i nver forget it when i'm logging in.  seals is practically giving away bitcoins right now with all the bonus tournaments and freerolls! and i'm a total fish!
246  Economy / Gambling / Re: A public plea to SealsWithClubs on: July 08, 2012, 08:56:32 PM
i play on seals all the time. i'm so happy to be playin poker again! i think the market for online us poker play is ready to burst, and if ppl could just see how easy btc was to turn into money and products it would be incredible.
247  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Diablo III Retail cd key on: May 30, 2012, 01:09:25 AM
Damn... this game looks awesome, but I cannot play it.

I was hooked on Diablo II for years... wasted soooo much time playing it - was a total addict to the point that it negatively impacted my life.

I gave up games a few years ago so that my time is used now on productive things ( or social things), and I haven't missed gaming too much. I like programming my own games though Smiley

Same here, and if you liked diablo 2 you'll love 3 and be just as addicted imo. its pretty much the same game.  My friend bought it then found out it wouldn't run on his raggedy az comp so he gave me his account. he came over played it and now he is going to build a new computer just to play. sigh. so now i gotta find someone to sell me for bitcoins (or gasp, wait a week until payday).

try coinabul or bitmint.us there's a couple places that do silver reasonably (i sell silver rounds myself from time to time) and i think gold also. theres also the 1000 bitcoin 1 oz gold round that mike puts out which is really really awesome @ https://www.casascius.com/

259  Economy / Goods / fishing lures for bitcoins? on: February 29, 2012, 12:51:33 PM
Irl During the spring and summers i have a side job as a fishing guide. Through those connections today i purchased a HUGE lot of fishing lures, all in excellent shape, quite a few are new in box.  I am loathe to sell them on ebay but i will if i have to. i figured i'd post this to see if there is any interest in buying fishing lures w/btc before i went ahead and comprimised my principals on ebay.  i can promise very good deals! i haven't been through the whole lot since it is 3 plastic tubs full to the brim.  If anyone is looking for a specific lure please post and i'll keep in mind and seperate out when i'm sorting the lures.   Also if anyone is near western maryland and would like to go on a canoe fishing trip i'll gladly take you for a small amount of btc.  Details are here: www.potomacfloats.com
here is a small sample of the lures i have:

sounds like a good idea but i agree that the forumns dedicated to litecoin are a bit on the slow side.  I still check up on the anarchic litecoin market that you need osirus to access sometimes but theres not much activity on there.  i would love to see a marketplace for litecoins as it seems more and more people are mining them.  maybe a few months down the road this will be more viable.
