241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Privacy coins list - which one is the best ?? on: February 03, 2018, 10:08:24 PM
I like and using mainly Monero as payment method and PivX for holding.

About Onion - don't be fooled. It's regular altcoin with tor on exit nodes. Nothing 'Privacy' here because every bitcoin wallet is supporting it.
242  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ICX,WTC,VEN, or PIVX on: February 02, 2018, 10:04:54 PM
Looking to strengthen my position in one of these coins during this major dip...Leaning towards ICX or WTC...What would you do and why?

ICON is still too expensive.

I managed to buy today DRGN at just 0.0015 ETH in Kucoin dip and ELIX at 0.00035 ETH. Those are coins where I'm expecting quick recover and 2-3x price in months.

243  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Possibility that Twitter will follow the advertising ban of Facebook? on: January 31, 2018, 03:30:23 PM
I just wondering the impacts of Facebook advertising ban on the cryptocurrencies. What if Twitter follows the advertising ban? Is the results will be damaging to cryptoworld? Your thoughts...

If they ban it, Twitter will ban only paid advertisements.
Most of ICO's are making twitter campaign. Those are private tweets and Twitter will not censor it.
244  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: January 31, 2018, 03:17:15 PM
Bitcoin for investments and playing around with different alts.

Gold for just in case. Like WWIII or similar cataclysm.
245  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How does crypto exchange handles instant transfer of crypto between buyer/ selle on: January 30, 2018, 11:55:46 PM
Given all the preset block time, could some one kindly advise how crypto exchanges go about handling the instant transfer of crypto pair between buyers and sellers? Do the trades and the change in cryptos as a result of the trades just resides on database server within the centralize exchanges?

How does exchange go about handling withdraw from clients? Do they have hot wallet to keep a float to allow for instant withdrawal when requested? If that's the case, how can they ensure they don't over/underestimate the required float?

Of course transactions are OFF-chain at centralized exchanges!?!

You could easily find detailed explanation of these basic questions with Googling.
246  Economy / Economics / Re: Know Your Customer on: January 30, 2018, 11:52:50 PM
For exchanges, ICOs that collect KYC information, when are they required to send information to the government.

If I remember correctly, in the US if you make a money transaction, such as through Western Union, or bank, $3,000+, within the same day, or smaller amounts during consecutive days, the institution must collect your ID information and Social Security and report it to the government. I forget which entity of the government.

Does that mean that if one participates in an ICO and puts in over $3,000, that gets reported to the government? Or if you move $3,000 out of an exchange, that gets reported?

Avoid all KYC ICO's. They are exactly the opposite of what we are trying to achieve with crypto-currencies.
I don't care about US regulations, I will never send my ID to a company only to give them my OWN money.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Greed or banning for reason!?! ICOs, AIRDROPs, BountyPrograms. on: January 30, 2018, 10:38:05 PM
Noticed a very widespread tendency now a day.  ICOs ban a very big part of participants in the AIRDROPs!

Why do they do it? Too many fakes? Or Don’t want to giveaway their coins/tokens to many people? Just attract many people and then get rid of useless participants?

I have heard from the KickCity team, that many people are concerned about being banned for nothing and do not join airdrops. So they really care about honesty and control their Airdrop very precisely.
Have you had bad experiences of participating in airdrops? Who are AirdropHunters in here? Wink

p.s. thread is for sharing any experiences and attitude to any airdrops, bounties, participantes and their organizers.

I think too many people are trying multi-accounting in those airdrops and devs are banning for a reason. For example, I never had any problems with any campaign, but I'm having only this account.
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC could go down to $5,000 on: January 30, 2018, 10:33:18 PM
I think it's possible, not only because all governments, one by one, are making some steps for regulations. But all alts are getting stronger with new and interesting projects.
249  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Gilgames(GGS) speculation on: January 29, 2018, 09:48:27 PM
Anyone following this? or have interaction with the devs. The main net was supposed to be launched this month.

I have 3K GGS and was following the project until Nov-Dec, but then lost an interest.
I'm counting this as bad investment and I'm looking forward. They are failure.
250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ripple Recover? on: January 29, 2018, 09:34:28 PM
Since I am so new to crypto currencies, I wanted to get a more educated opinion.

I invested in Ripple during it's decline. I saw a spike shortly afterwards, but it looks to have a steady decline at this point. I know it has been around for a while but is it just going to continue dropping? I realize it is all speculative but I would appreciate some insight if you have any.

I guess they will try to recover it right now. From few hours BTC and ETH are losing value, but Ripple is keeping it and even gaining some.
I'm not a Ripple supporter, but the coin have future.
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 1 Trillion on: January 28, 2018, 11:31:16 PM
It may seem high but I think the total marketcap will exceed 5 trillion this year, so if you do the calculations well the poll is valid

Bitcoin in 2018 will have about 17 million coins, about 100 million for Ethereum and about 38.7 billion for Ripple

Bitcoin 60000 $ x 17 > 1 trillion $
Ethereum 10000 $ x 100 = 1 trillion $
Ripple 30 $ x 38.7 > 1 trillion $

And remember that if Bitcoin reaches $ 40,000 and Ethereum also comes in at 0.25Btc (only 150% from today), it will then be $ 10,000; the same can be true for Ripple at 0.00075Btc (only 600% from today) it will be at 30 $.

What do you think about it?

I think it's completely possible.
Many new speculators and random investors will enter the crypto in 2018. Regular press is filled with crypto articles on daily basis.
252  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: HOLD by TRADE , that is possible? on: January 24, 2018, 09:58:57 PM
Hello my friends, I am a newcomer to the Trade and I have been Holding the potential coin. I realized one thing I could increase the amount of coin hold by trading them, for example I hold 100ADA then I sell for 0.6$ buy back at 0.56$. I have increased the number of coin. Be sure to buy the right one if you do not reach the target, and the last target is the one you want to target. That's the experience I've been drawn to, how do you feel? Can you trade more effectively?
P.s: I have a post for some of my new friends to refer to: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2777983.0 , you have some advice for them, let me know by commenting on that, and this post is about the best way to trade.

It's is possible.. until you hit some big dip or up and then you are screwed.
If you want to hold, just hold. But don't mix things. And if you are new to crypto trading, be very careful. It's doesn't have much in common with fiat stocks and forex.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: Seems it's impossible for BTC to dip below 10K and reach to 8K on: January 24, 2018, 09:55:48 PM
I'm on the opinion that technical analysis and indicators are not applicable to bitcoin and crypto currencies.

Some people are making some 'analysis' and then other people with a lot coins are doing what they are doing.

But I'm hoping that it will not dip to 8K anyway...
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitconnect sold 50000 BTC on: January 24, 2018, 09:51:14 PM
I heard Bitconnect's owners collected BTC50000 from people and scammed them. the owners sold BTC50000 from 2 days ago till now. This is a big reason for crashing price. don't panic and put some buy orders at different lower price. If BTC fall down to $1500 don't panic and do buying more at different steps.

You sounds like you are proclaiming a ponzy site, not Bitcoin. Buy, buy and buy Smiley
50000 Bitcoins are just 550 000 000 or half a billion. I don't think that Bitconnect's money could disrupt so badly the market. The daily trading volume is 100x higher.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trinity Network Credit (TNC)- no ANN but Kucoin listing on: January 23, 2018, 11:21:51 PM
I read about this project and it seems to me that this is a very promising coin. If the developers will constantly come up with something new, this will make the project successful.

But where did you read about it??

I can't find anything beside their own website! And the price is still up.
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The END is NEAR! on: January 23, 2018, 11:16:34 PM
Yes, the END of cheap, great quality crypto is NEAR.

Once Amazon.com adopts crypto, the masses will fully awaken, and will come pouring in. Get your crypto now, my timeline says in February Amazon will launch something MAJOR, and this article supports my conclusion:

https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-01-22/could-amazon-be-gearing-cryptocurrency-exchanges

Once the largest American online retailer fully supports crypto, the FUD will no longer be as effective in tanking the markets.... you will never again see a time to buy such great quality crypto.

Don't fool yourself - Amazon will not adopt crypto before any big US regulations being accepted.

It would be great, but I guess we will not see it in next few years.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Trinity Network Credit (TNC)- no ANN but Kucoin listing on: January 22, 2018, 10:11:24 PM
https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/trinity-network-credit/

He's been up 3x now. It's good that the project is Neo-based and it's important to be confidential.

This is because of Kucoin listing.

Do you know what is the circulating supply of TNC?

Just bought bunch of it at 0.23USD Cool

According to their site should be nearly 333 333 333 of 1 000 000 000 with many 3y locks.

But I'm not buying anything on blind. Does they have ANN at all?
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Trinity Network Credit (TNC)- no ANN but Kucoin listing on: January 22, 2018, 04:24:56 PM
Today Kucoin is listing Trinity Network Credit (TNC)

https://news.kucoin.com/en/kucoin-lists-trinity-tnc/

Trinity Network Credit site is https://trinity.tech but I can't find any ANN topic here?!

Do you have any info on this project and why it doesn't have ANN??

This TNC topic is not about Trinity https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2563146
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin takes HUGE dip, Regulation becomes a concern and bitconnect turns in on: January 20, 2018, 10:54:14 PM
I read that G20 countries will discuss Bitcoin and crypto-currencies in their meeting @ march.

What do you expect from such discussion? I guess nothing good..
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitconnect is Resurfacing with an ICO on: January 20, 2018, 10:50:43 PM
If there are dump enough people to buy it even after all warning topics and so on, then they deserve to lost their money.

To newbies around: Bitconnect IS PONZI!
