I wonder why this got deleted?

I guess we don't want to elicit elaborate stories about other coins' failures taking up valuable reading time.

Talking about reading, I stumbled upon this article: http://www.convexitymaven.com/images/Convexity_Maven_Wages_of_Fear.pdf

TL;DR -> money printing brrrr, good for Bitcoin  Grin

I don't open pdf's, is it this?

https://climateerinvest.blogspot.com/2020/12/convexity-maven-wages-of-fear.html

Yes, it is (and thanks for providing the link)

I think Ethereum in it’s current form may be subject to faster depreciation than a thing like Bitcoin. For Bitcoin, 7tps is not a deal breaker. It does not have to match VISA.

For Ethereum, 15 TPS is.

Developers will show the way this will be going. Watching  Shocked

ETH is turning into a rich men’s gambling paradise. Only with sizeable money you’re able to make winning trades, overcoming the steep gas fees.

It will eventually lead to contenders rising.

Don’t worry, the free market is doing its work.

WORLD grain markets are struggling to make sense of a monster corn buying spree from China.

Pigs disease and/or stocking up on commodities with inflation dead ahead?

Would anyone in here sleeps good in this situation??

Rappers are shit these days, who the hell is that loser?

I grew up listening to Eminem & 50 Cent. What the hell is a Lil Uzi Vert? Grin

I haven't heard of him (which doesn't mean a damn thing) but having a diamond surgically attached to your forehead seems like a cry for help.  Poor guy.

It has the look of an open diabetes wound. Couldn't he have picked the color green?

If you post one liners, pls make them witty instead of just non-informative.

Good morning everyone and good mood for the whole day!  Kiss
Fillippone can you give me the lasagna recipe? This is a check if you have notifications for mentions.

Warren Buffett:  Athletes and celebrities are withdrawing money from US stocks to invest in bitcoin and cryptocurrencies.

Bill Gates:  This is dangerous. What happens if institutional investors sell berkshire hathaway stock to buy BTC.

Warren Buffett:  You and I would lose mountains of wealth my friend.

Paul Krugman:  May I propose rebranding US stocks to be more competitive with crypto. Holders of bitcoin like to feel they're fighting the power and sticking it to the man.

Paul Krugman:  Perhaps we can fool them into believing that pouring their money into stocks, which benefits wallstreet, will actually hurt wallstreet in some way.

Paul Krugman:  I know this guy called wallstreetbets who might be interested.

Warren Buffett:  We must do something to prevent capital flight from US stocks from migrating into cryptocurrencies. Make it happen.

Perhaps side tracking this for a bit, but my eye fell on the most recent article of Ben Hunt: https://www.epsilontheory.com/hunger-games/

While Ben has a way with words, I don't think everyone appreciates the 'wordy'-ness of his articles and the high esoteric lines he draws from the material causing the article to be written. Anyway, I found this particular article to miss a compelling message, namely, what should WSB actually do to make WS' life hard. The article sets us up for a grand answer but then completely fails to deliver. And that the system is rigged/corrupt is not a surprise either. I don't see the described paradigm shift.

But I mention it because it touches upon the element of 'flow'. And flow is very important.

Not the number (the price) is relevant, but the flow. If the flow stops, the system stops.

The Spice Must Flow.

It's flow that the Empire needs. If the Empire's flow is hampered by cryptocurrency, we can expect push back. And that brings us to the little imaginary conversation between Old Titans. The suggestion to tweak US securities/Treasuries just to maintain the flow  Grin

Remember the flow. If the flow goes down, the sh* will hit the fan.

I’ve got Bat ads at maximum and click every pop-up (mostly proton e-mail and crypto sites). The few BAT earned each month go directly to the sites I vist most ... if they accept BAT 😏

I use Brave Browser and am happy with the stuff being blocked. I don't want to go all the way and seek a fully add free environment. Sites gotta make those server bills paid.

I stopped watching Youtube since Jan this year (my new year's resolution).

Yes, I play a bit more games on my phone (that earn some Satoshi's) but I also spend more time on stuff that grows my life instead of letting it pass by.

Many blockchain projects don't 'sell' tokens. They are simply issued (at once or along the way).

Wouldn't usage be the best measurement stick?

i give 10 merits if one can name me a working blockchain product. other than bitcoin. other than any ETH based erc20 scams or defi scams. i mean in the real world. it has been 12 years since the bitcoin white paper and more than 5 (how many exactly?) years that the "blockchain-not-bitcoin" narrative gets spun.

it took facebook 4 years to reach 1 billion customers.

it took the "blockchain industry" 4 years to develop zero products and therefore zero customers.

and no, BAT token does not count. no blockchain necessary there.

blockchain my ass.

nice title for a book.

Not contending for the price but the Internet wasn't invented at the 1995 level out of the blue. Bitcoin is only around since 2009. Implementing it in the Interwebs and gaining wide acceptance is not a small feat. Especially when still being clunky and having to go against major established conventions and institutions.

I tend to look at it differently: the success of our clunky 7 tps Bitcoin proves how much dead wood there is to burn.

Imagine an unlimited scaling secure decentralised open network for transactions. We have only seen the tip of the iceberg.

The only question is: will the redditor apes manage to hold the stock while the price is so volatile, or will they give in and be content with just a paltry profit? In other words: the outcome, as in our favorite formerly asymmetrical bet, depends on the strength of the hands that hold.

Looking at people already bailing GME-ship, they will prove mostly paper hands.

They shouldn’t wait for that squeeze ever to happen, but demand delivery of the share certificates. That’s what will blow up this whole thing.

Yes, astounding and not good for the faith in the stock market mechanics  Roll Eyes

I read another similar story on WSB of a guy buying all shares of a listed company for fractions of pennies (total about $5,000). He could not obtain the share certificates in the end.

It's a rickety system at best and a fraudulous scheme at worst.
