241  Economy / Gambling / Re: Legal Risks of Cryptocurrency Based Gambling Ventures on: January 19, 2018, 05:27:11 AM
I get this question often  Huh, so i've tried to answer it here

What laws do you need to be aware of when starting/running a crypto/bitcoin casino or sportsbook? We have help start many

https://youtu.be/mAqBfK5j9mY

I welcome any thoughts/comments. Cheers

It will really depend on the place you are operating in. Legally speaking any business needs a license, problem is gambling businesses requires a lot stricter regulations. It can be seen in most countries. So if you are going to operate one, you better check with your government. I think this is why there are a lot of casinos running in curacao as they have more lenient laws about gambling.
242  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How do you send your Bitcoin to the Sportsbooks? on: January 18, 2018, 11:57:13 PM
I recall you need to pay a fee when moving out of coinbase, not sure if that was still a thing since I never used coinbased when they had added a transaction fee. But basically you are doing a good job. Poloniex has one of the lowest fees right now to withdraw from the exchange, however, they might flag you though if you do not really trade and just use it for a wallet. Not to mention you are withdrawing and depositing from gambling sites. This could trigger AML policies.

Thank you for the response  Cool

I actually use GDAX, no $0 fees.

I agree with you about Poloniex though, which is why I sometimes buy a few bucks worth of other coins.

I know Coinbase (Gdax) is not gambling friendly.  Can anyone say the same thing about Poloniex, which isn't nearly as regulated as Coinbase?

I'd say they are fine with it. I've occasionally sent money to and fro Poloniex without problems. However, since I actually trade a lot, I don't get flagged, I am not sure if that would be the case if you mostly use them as a wallet for gambling.

Just to correct your math there, poloniex charges 0.0001BTC. So you are actually just paying 0.0006BTC in fees moving your funds.
I guess they just changed it. Oh well.

Good luck!

Just use a password manager...
I got all my accounts broken into including this account once betcoin.ag was hacked and the password were leaked.
Never use the same password everywhere, never.
Shit happens, it just might happen to you.
Can't stress how important this is.

Password managers are not a good idea when dealing with Crypto.

Basically you are protected if some site gets hacked and your password was completely unique.

However if you get malware, someone will have access to every single password you have.
Whats worse is if your harddrive crashed and you lose the entire database of passwords. You will have a very hard time filing support tickets to get your password reset.

I agree with this, if your password manager gets hacked (especially the online ones) then you are fucked. They get access to ALL your accounts! Though I use something that is pretty much safer even if it is a password manager.

I use masterpassword. It is a nice program, if you guys want to check it out, I recommend you do so. It combines username + password + your website's name (or whatever nickname) + password type = password. What is nice about it is that if you remember all those even if you accidentally delete the program or you're on another computer, you can use that password manager. It's kinda hard to explain, it is better if you check it yourselves.
244  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ideas about odds from 5 to over 20 on: January 18, 2018, 11:14:58 PM
I think he is one of those scammers who ask people for money for a so called fixed game. While fixed games do exist , surely they are not shared in a public forum with more than 1 mln members. Only a few persons know about it and they are insiders which do bet anonymously max bet that sport bookies allows.
In case I am wrong, tell me what service are you offering , tipster services cannot be successful with those kind of odds in 99.99% of the time.

I agree. These are the type of offers that would tell you "pm me for more info" and they would tell you the catch there. They will tell you that for a small fee of $1,000 you can get picks that are guaranteed to win because they are fixed matches or some other kind of bullshit. OP is reluctant to even disclose what he is offering so I think this is really just a scam attempt.
245  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambler's mindset! on: January 18, 2018, 11:08:55 PM
I have tried to think what goes through my mind when ever I am trying to place a bet. I think something strange do happen to me and that is I always have this thinking that what if I lose, how am I going to feel! I have never want to lose in my mind I want to win always but I think this is impossible. Gamblers here did you always want to win all your bet? If you win all how will the gambling company makes profits?

Gamblers mindset is to win in every game. Because I don't think a gambler will think of his lose. Of course they wish to win every game to profit for a purpose for the benefits of their love one and family.
This is the fastest way to fail at anything not only gambling no one wins every time, not even the house wins every time they know they do not need it, they know they need to win more than what they lose and with the odds in their favor that is going to happen almost every time.

Regardless of the fact that we will never always win, this is in the minds of ever gambler. Of course we all want to win every bet, but that is practically impossible. Sure you might be able to win 100 times in a row at the lowest chance, but that would be like 1 in a gazillion chance to happen. Indeed, even the house does not even always win they even have losses from time to time.
246  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: January 18, 2018, 10:43:10 PM
As I already stated, I am more than open to further investigation and making this investigation as transparent as possible. But I would really need a player to contact me and provide some more details. I am here all the time and you can reach me in PM.

I am guessing that most likely happened is that this user was using the same username and password as he did for his bitcointalk account or his bitmain account and hackers tried accessing his account and were successful.

The amount of people who reuse the same password is astonishing. Whats even worse is that some people use the same email password as they do for their crypto services; which is bad because it defeats 2FA if its active.

Most sites if you have access to someone's email, you can easily reset the 2FA.

I do not think tha 2fa can easily be reset.  I believe you need the input generated from your mobile phone (if we are talking about the authenticator app)  unless you are using the email authenticator which is actually not advisable due to the thing  you stated.

I'm definitely not talking about some email authenticator, I'm talking about the one you need on your phone such as the Google Authenticator. In order for someone to reset that they'd need to have access to your phone as well, and if it has gone to that well then you are fucked no matter what Tongue.. It is probably the most safe you can be right now, that and regularly changing your passwords, all passwords over email accounts and website accounts.

True, and I believe 2FA is now the industry standard in securing anything online nowadays. I think it is a good protection. The only way a hacker would be able to hack an account is indeed access to your phone (or whatever authenticator you are using), or he needs to social engineer the support so he can reset the 2FA. Both of which are extremely hard to do, especially if the sit has good policies.
247  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bitcoin casino. Have anyone played them? Are they trustable? on: January 18, 2018, 10:36:16 PM
Hi.

I often play online casinos, but it is pain always to use bank for money deposits and withdraws.

I started to research casino sites and found some articles about bitcoin casinos (for example - http://cryptland.com/best-bitcoin-casinos),
so I have a question - can I trust any of these casinos and does they really pay out Bitcoins. It would be much easier to deposit, withdraw Bitcoins for me.

If anybody has experience with Bitcoin casinos, please let me know.

Thanks
If you are trying new casinos, just be careful and do not deposit a lot of money. Just deposit some trial funds and try them out. But best thing to do is do your research and see if the casino is legit.

You should try out fortune jack, its one of the most trusted cryptocurrency casino in the business and it would be extremely safe for you to play there. They will pay you if you win and you are sure that your money is safe while you enjoy the best games the industry can offer.
248  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will you still continue? on: January 18, 2018, 10:09:43 PM
What will you do if after losing several times in gambling, you are left with only small amount of money and that money will be for your fuel or for transportation, will you still continue with the little you are left with? What if you lose?

Here is one strategy that I every time I go to a landbased casino. I always put money at my back pocket for transportation. So it worst case scenario, I have money for my transpo going back home. I have been using that method for a long time and so far it works for me. LOL. I don't want to lose everything and talk a stroll going back home. You should try it dude.  Grin

Wow, really. That is a good solution, however that is not something that is good in the long run. Since you have in the back of your mind (yeah, like your back pocket), that you have money in your pocket. So if you do lose a lot of money, you might have the thought that "oh yeah, I still have money and maybe it could win some of my losses back so instead of riding a cab, I can ride a limo from my winnings". That kind of thoughts will never be blocked out.
249  Economy / Gambling / Re: Will be interesting for you? on: January 18, 2018, 09:47:07 PM
No thanks, binary options are typically scam operated.

Why do you think binary options are a scam?

Likely a newbie around here. Binary options are not a scam. It is a kind of gambling game. If you got scammed then it is not the fault of the game, but more on the gambling site. Think about it like blackjack, blackjack is inherently a legitimate game. The problem is there are casino sites that cheat their players by rigging games. It is not blackjack that scammed the player but the casino itself.

251  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling with altcoins on: January 18, 2018, 09:08:43 PM
Right now gambling with altcoins is going to become more and more common bitcoin fees do not allow you to gamble as much since most of the money goes to the miners so we need to use other coins, I think casinos will have to adapt as well to this since less and less people can afford to gamble with bitcoins

With today's bitcoin network and transaction fee problem, this is a sure thing. Altcoin gambling will likely be mainstream and we can already see it now as a lot of bitcoin only casinos have been adopting altcoins like LTC, XMR, and even DOGE. This is kinda revolutionizing gambling again. However, I still believe that unless there is a direct way of purchasing alts (not buy btc then exchange them to alts), I don't think this will flourish that much as it is just an extra step in crypto.

Seriously? You are still thinking of gambling that little money you have with you? That's really against every principle a gamble should have. First off, do not gamble money you are not supposed to gamble with. Then you should consider placing limits to you gambling activity. You should never gambling so much money that you are left with nothing. What you are describing is an addiction right there.
253  Economy / Speculation / Re: The fun's over. on: January 18, 2018, 08:49:16 PM
OK, the bear party, FUD-mongering, and printing of all the garbage "TA" charts talking about $3000 is over.

Bitcoin has fully recovered, and although we  may see one more weak attempt by bears (may not even break 10k lol), we are now heading to the moon.

I recently bought some BTC, and it's BTC's turn now to BOOM.

ALSO,
Alt-season is over:

(1) Newbies contributed most to the alt-market
(2) Newbies are no longer that "new" anymore, because they experienced a serious correction.
(3) Newbies will now take profits, and are probably tired of alts, and so will go to Bitcoin, which didn't got down like 60% during the correction.

So it's time for BTC to soar.

Bear party has lasted long enough (2 years, then another month on top of that), and ACCORDING TO HISTORICAL CHARTS, we will see a sure but certain recovery.

Set some buy orders at around 9k-10k (although mostly close to 10k), because you don't want to miss out on this!

I guess so, but still there are still a lot of problems for BTC that caused it to drop. Not only did the government push for regulation (likely just FUD, since most of the articles about this talks about "government in talks" kind of stuff), but what affected BTC the most is the transaction fees and slow/congested network. People don't really want to pay a $30 transaction fee just to pay for a $2 item.
254  Economy / Economics / Re: Reliability and perspective of cryptocurrencies? on: January 18, 2018, 08:38:33 PM
Do analysis of mainstream analysts about development and the future of cryptocurrencies serve to make confusion and create suspicion in the reliability and perspective of the cryptocurrencies?

Yeah for sure, just look at McAfee. He's been mumbling about a lot of crypto and what he says will be the next bitcoin just blindly goes up without even checking the fundamentals people just buy them.
255  Economy / Economics / Re: Many new rich people are created from Bitcoin on: January 15, 2018, 09:00:30 AM
我希望将来成为其中的一员,在未来很多年后,能持有很多币,一步步富有!

Not really the proper language to use here. :/

Yes, those strong holders of bitcoin they suffer from hearing some fud that make them dissapointed to hold bitcoin, but i think they deserve what they have now, those who are holding 20 bitcoins or even 1 bitcoins are all rich man's this time. They are so lucky because bitcoin is a blessing for everyone.

Yes, that's true to those people have hold bitcoins or altcoins they deserve what they have now being created by bitcoin as a new member of millionair.

They believed in something and hence they were rewarded big time in their belief. This is really how millionaires are really made. They believe in what they are doing, in their product, or their skill and in the end they reap the benefits of their investment. Guess there are a lot of people that got reach just by holding a cryptocurrency. Even ETH is super expensive now, and imagine that was super cheap back in just 2016. I guess the saying is true, "fortune favors the bold".
256  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: January 12, 2018, 10:28:08 AM
Somehow someone got into my FortuneJack account two days prior to my last login and took my loss back on dice and then cashed out .003btc.   They were able to change my email address and I can’t even do that when I go to my preferences.   The message showing my email had changed was in my inbox on FortuneJack and it was sent to me when’s i logged in.

I found this email in my junk folder unread: “Greetings, dear user.

We are contacting you regarding your latest withdrawal.
It was delayed by our system for security reasons as your account credentials (Withdrawal IP or Wallet Number) are different from your usual credentials.

Please confirm that you were the person who made a withdrawal and your transaction will be processed right away !”

So I don’t know how they were able to convince someone to let them withdraw and change the email all at the same time.   I asked live chat and they didn’t reply at all even after sending screenshots of the emails, etc.

Look how fast they turned a profit and withdrew.
https://imgur.com/a/JHWiq

It looks like they have a ton of funds collected but I may be reading it wrong.  They had to use a low fee so the TX is still pending from the ninth when the did it.    Don’t suppose any admin at FortuneJack could double spend it with a good TX fee to get the funds back to me?

They sent it to 1QHZjQHjVS4kbrQQLyswfzzsautWcHQtrh
Before sending it in a giant 15btc tx

From your story, seems like your account was unsecured because someone was able to log it in and withdraw the money left in your account. Though it was small, which actually is a good thing, I am not sure how they indeed got it out without a reply from your email.

I had the same issue when I withdraw sometimes, my withdrawal was not processed automatically and they needed to email me. I asked the live support and they said they sent an email, that was the only time I opened the email. I told the live support that I saw the email already and please process the withdrawal. They said I really need to reply via email for security purposes. So I did, and it was processed immediately. So probably you will have to ask for support here, for sure FJ will contact you immediately as they take these problems really seriously.

About the 15 BTC which consolidated the money including yours, for sure this is an exchange address or online wallet which consolidates the btc they collect. I don't think the hacker was able to collect 15 BTC worth of scammed funds. But maybe, not really sure.

But rest assured that FJ will do an investigation on the matter.
257  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which coin do you think is best for gambling? on: January 12, 2018, 08:45:29 AM
I think anything that has a low transaction fee and fast confirmation is one of the best coins to gamble with. Right now, BTC and ETH are both expensive to transact with and BTC is super slow. Another thing to take into consideration is price volatility of the coin you are using. I guess the last one is the hardest criteria to fulfill, since on the top of my mine, DOGE was a good option but the problem is DOGE has been really volatile recently and it could even fall back to 20 sats each and this could result to a huge loss on the part of the holder during the time he is gambling.

Not sure what coin is relatively stable, but if you find one then that could potentially be the next coin that would really be something useful in gambling. Right now I would still stick with bitcoins as this is really the basis of all coins anyway, and the fact that using alts would just mean an extra step to gamble.
258  Economy / Gambling / Re: FORTUNEJACK.COM |Deposit 777 play with 1777 mBTC |Live Casino, Slots, Betting on: January 12, 2018, 08:36:04 AM
I agree but I would like some minor upgrades to the site's chatting system like if you are active in the chatting community a random reward will be given to you, if dine properly many people will use the chatting system asany people will use it too. But the problem here is it will be flooded by people who's only aim to is to collect free prizes from the chat box. Rewarding people who are making sense is the way to go.

Dont think that this is a good idea as more people will just come to the site chat and hope they win some money. I dont think the main purpose of casino is to attract people to chat as they need players. This also could be abused so there is no point with this actually. Im saying that the current chat is good enough and especially David announced or atleast give hint something great is coming already ( like forum )

That would lead to just players aiming for the bonuses from the chat system like in most other gambling sites that has a chat system and rainbot. They talk non-sense the whole day and not really gambling anything that was not from the rain bot or whatever free stuff they get from the site. It's just like having beggars on your streets asking for money the whole day every day. I have nothing against people trying a faucet to actually try a gambling game, but if that is the trend, where people just keep on trying to abuse the promotions, then I don't think it's a good idea.

Well, since indeed David gave some hints about something new coming out then we'll sure see what its about and maybe they have something really better than a chat system or a forum. Maybe something really revolutionary.
259  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Earn bitcoins and altcoins on: January 12, 2018, 08:08:49 AM
Earn altcoins by mining like electroneum they have an app where you can mine etn on your phone second is xrb just answer the captcha and you will earn.

If you didn't know, you cannot mine anymore XRB or railblock as they have already ended distribution. All the remaining unmined railblocks has been burned. So that takes out XRB as a way to earn from altcoins. Just to be honest with everyone here, there is no quick way of earning in the world even in crypto. There are indeed some good opportunities, but they are hard to catch. I believe the best way to earn bitcoins and altcoins is working for them, like join signature campaigns, offer your skills to the community, sell something online, etc. So when a really good investment opportunity comes out, you have some money to invest into it.
260  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: is it practical to move coins among different webs and earn the margins? on: January 12, 2018, 07:28:26 AM
There are some differences in prices among different platforms. sometimes huge. can you move coins and earn the margins?

This is clearly arbitrage trading. But be aware that there is really a lot of danger in doing it. Since there are a lot of cost is moving crypto from exchange to exchange it could eat up your profits also remember that there is also the cost of buying and selling. So the thing is you need to have a lot of crypto to do this. For example, you want to arbitrage ETH, the best course of action would be having ETH and BTC in both exchange sites. So that when an arbitrage opportunity exists, then you can sell your ETH on the exchange with higher prices and buy using BTC in the site with lower prices. This way you eliminate the risk of the prices equalizing before you receive the ETH you bought on the other site.
