I have yet to see arguments against X11 aside from "people will dump". Can anyone give a different argument as to how X11 / ASICs will have detrimental effects on the network?
"Getting raped by giant ASIC farms" isn't very persuasive. Though, it does bring about some humorous imagery.
It depends how quickly the difficulty adjusts, because asic farms come in and push the difficulty up and then it takes a long time to find a block. Some extremes are I have seen it take some coins with 2-5 minute block times to 6-7 hours. |

We're aiming for a snapshot date of 1 August, with a block height that should fall on that date chosen as we get closer to that date.
People find it easier to think in dates than block height, so we've gone for date first.
There will be another Slack ama in about two weeks to give progress updates, explain the enterprise strategy, our new partnerships and introduce the lead developer for the Service Node work, along with new members of the development team that will be contributing to our future plans.

Where the price are going it is enough to be excited having some bytes in my wallet. It is highest price for any coin which was given to people for free and still is being distributed. It is because of cheating proof formula which caused of healthier and solid growth. Waiting for next round of distribution already.
It will probably drop a bit after the distribution but overall if things end up like the last few distributions we will end up ahead which is awesome! |

SPR has just reached the eight million supply mark , any news about the snap shop? And please if ever ready, indicate how HLM would be redeemed.
The snap shot isn't based on when SPR hits 8 million supply. That is just a ballpark number for how many Helium will need to be created for when the snapshot happens. Any news on Bittrex whether they can do the transaction for the exchange. If not will need notice to move SPR to personal wallet. We're still at least a couple months away. Lots of time to get this worked out yet. Thanks @bimmerhead Just to clarify if you haven't been on slack. Master Nodes come first and we'll aim to get several thousand up before we fork off the DASH core releases. This also gives us an opportunity to test and merge the payment accounts to be run on the master nodes, to which we will build some extra features which will be patented. But the upfront effort going on now is on getting a long-term Service Node strategy in play - we have a strategy, we are now setting it in motion - so we can let it build momentum while we switch effort back to growing a stable Master Node network. We are sticking pretty close to the white paper on the Service Node front. In short: * Miners will secure the network * Master Nodes will enable payment networks * Service Nodes will generate revenue that will support miners income, Master Node income and long-term development funding. This keeps fees down, but also secures the network's funding model. We can't have one thing from the above and not another. As Service Nodes will underpin everything, we are focused on that right now. If you are interested, feel free to have a say on the wallet designs while the wallets are being tested offline right now. the claiming is very profitable, if you sign a message with 1000 bitcoin you get 1000 bitcore? lol that is 1.4 bitcoin for free, this is wrong it help the richer get even richer, wasn't better to do it with a fixed amount?
1.4 bitcoin isnt an incentive for enough people with 1000 bitcoin to link their address, just because of logistical stuff (getting it out of storage, potentially risking hacking, potentially revealing identity ect.) I mean some do, but if you look at the byteball which is the same thing, in fact you end up getting much more there, even many long time holders arent linking addresses. Also it wont matter much in 6 months when everything unclaimed gets redistributed to people who are holding bitcore. Your best bet if you want to be one of the rich addresses here is to buy up bitcore in small amounts over a 6 month period. |

1. Right now it is offering a nice and friendly community. We are offering basically a coin which can be received completely free, without the need to invest actual money. We are working on some "short-mid" term solutions. We also understand that the roadmap, which has been posted a few pages back, needs to be reworked. I know there are logistical problems with getting blackbyte on an exchange, but are there currently any plans to make some sort of in wallet exchange or find another way than just by using the slack matchup.
