241  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] MemoryCoin | CPU Only | Trade on Bter | 5% Reward Reduction Per Week on: August 24, 2013, 02:45:58 PM
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.    Downloaded the qt, added nodes, synced the blockchain, went into console and "setgenerate true -1"  and on my i5-3570k at 4.4GHz I'm doing 16h/p/s and 12 hours later my wallet still shows 0.  Is my test period too short, or did I miss a step and that 12 hours was wasted, or is 12 hours the usual variance in finding a block?

Should average a block about 13.47 hours at 16 h/s at diff 0.0002217....Hang in there a few more hours.

Also, make sure your current block matches the block count at http://memorycoin.21stcenturymoneytalk.org

can you please provide the formula?

there are some things missing on the website:

245  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KING]KingCoin,POW+POS Coin with new algo|Coin Control|No Premine on: August 22, 2013, 11:57:35 AM
our fault for mining a coin with no source
246  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][KING]KingCoin,POW+POS Coin with new algo|Coin Control|No Premine on: August 22, 2013, 01:19:43 AM
anyone seeing good performance with this under linux (wallet mining)? Appears to be around 10-20x slower for me than win64 mining with wallet/kingcpuminer.
247  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] Copper Bars (CPR) now accepted for...REAL Copper Bars on: August 22, 2013, 01:13:59 AM
almost makes it feel like real mining. Cheesy

250  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] [CP2] CPU2coin - Coin minable by CPU only - BEST PROMISE! on: August 20, 2013, 06:18:29 PM
the lulz won't end
251  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QRK and CPC chains merged? on: August 20, 2013, 05:29:29 PM
nothing too bad about it, it's just funny because they often are set up as pyramid scam.
252  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QRK and CPC chains merged? on: August 20, 2013, 04:31:29 PM
one of the funniest possible outcomes for a coin whose creator tried to disguise it as using a new algorithm and never admitted to it being a Quarkcoin copy although people kept asking him for a statement on that matter OVER AND OVER.

253  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 04:28:11 PM
i thought this used whirlpool t? maybe i misread the title... the part in parenthesis.

yeah that was a lie/misdirection in order to look innovative.
254  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM ALERT] CPUcoin, some facts on: August 20, 2013, 04:22:17 PM
CPUcoin client will automatically sync with the quarkcoin chain now. It looks dead.
255  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 04:18:33 PM
yes, it appears they just merged. even my other client that was on some original CPUcoin chain with ~6000 nodes now is quickly syncing up to quarkcoin's 89000 blocks.

epic lulz.

taking the crown of failure from neocoin launches
256  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 04:12:04 PM
using the OPs long list of addnodes brought me on the quarkcoin chain. rofl.
257  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 04:06:16 PM
you are witnessing the rise of the chinese scamperor
258  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 04:05:39 PM
also, why the fuck does it use the old quarkcoin client version which doesn't show hashrate. Cheesy
259  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN] CPUCoin - CPU mined currency (whirlpool based) on: August 20, 2013, 03:59:41 PM
what means
Code:
genproclimit=-1
what are allowed numbers?
how to only one core on quadcore CPU?
(+1?)
TIA

should be genproclimit=1

in the console window inside the client, you can also simply turn mining on and off with

setgenerate false
setgenerate true

or add the amount of threads/cores you want to use

setgenerate true 1
setgenerate true 2

and so on...
