A slow gentle increase is better than pump and dump

I signed up ages ago and got the 5000 stellars -

Now I can't login!

I have an email from them with the recovery code - however, whenever I try to recover my email, it says "No username with that email"

Hmmm....  Explain that one!

What's everybody crying about?
Cheap coins man, cheap coins. You were begging for this for months.
Everytime the price dropped 10 dollars the champagne bottles opened and you were "gobbling up" all these cheap coins. So what's the problem exactly?

No problem!
248  Economy / Speculation / Re: The new bearwhale: US Marshals on: December 05, 2014, 02:24:23 AM
^ Because everyone knows the great technology from bitcoin will be stolen for something that is cheaper to mint (mine)

....because a coin thats cheap and easy to mine will have more value? Right?

Sorry - you lost me here!

I have seen the future. 10,000 was good.
250  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will you do when BTC is 1M each on: November 01, 2014, 05:51:09 AM
What will you do when BTC is 1M USD today's, 2014 buying power each?

Sell one.  Smiley

Do not Bitcoin speculate with borrowed money. Do not Bitcoin speculate with money you need in the short term.

I consider the money I put into Bitcoin as a sunk cost. I occasionally alternate between fiat and BTC using around 5-10% of my coins. I do not put more Fiat in and i do not take Fiat out. If i rum out of fiat - i sell some btc to give me a gambling fund. I dont trade often (maybe a few trades per month) - but my long term goal is to be all in BTC and increase the BTC I hold.

i can assure you that the thinly traded volume and price traded on some exchanges is only part of the picture. account managers at some exchanges use the KYC/AML  to directly contact larger buyers/sellers(100+ coins) and put together off-exchange deals - even though the exchange is still the broker. Do not be fooled by the volume and the fact that small amounts of money can affect the price.

Wall street traders ARE here, and they are taking advantage of this unregulated market to make money in terms of both Fiat and Bitcoin.

Bitcoin is special. It isn't going anywhere and if you think the price is going lower then sell some of your coins and try to buy them at a lower price point. Dont throw more money at it - unless you are DCA buying a small amount each month as a long term investment. I also believe many of the current holders are selling to find a buy back point and grow their stash whilst minimising their risk of 'going to zero' or seeing their dollar value diminish too greatly.

Panic bought, not very proud of myself  Grin

Let's see if this was a good move or not.
Whatever, bitcoin itself and fundamentals are pretty strong - Paypal keeping the slow but good pace.

You're not the only one - but I think it was still a good time to buy! Sub 400 was too cheap and this is a big development.

Blah blah 460 blah!

Yes
255  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 26, 2014, 07:04:53 AM
We spent quite a long time over $650 in the previous bubble, and I think there were quite a few buyers who expected an easy 'in-out-profit' and possibly used borrowed money or money they couldn't afford to lose. As such I think there will be a lot more dumping/volatility this time on the way up.

These could be people repaying the loans and interest as well as people that couldn't stand the thought that they'd 'lost' so much money and are selling out of relief at getting it 'back' (haha!)

The sooner people accept that BTC 'is' money and a permanent store of value the sooner we stabilise at a much higher price forever (muhahaaha <- evil laugh)

I'd prefer a log-pumposaurus

It would be too flat, like a crocodile.

A linear giraffosaurus!

I'll tell you what will happen to Litecoin. I owned shitloads of Litecoins which i sold just before they started moving from 2 to 40 dollars or so. Lost out on a sickening amount of money.
I bought a good bunch back last month and now they don't do shit anymore. Of course i can start buying other alt-coins but they will turn to shit the minute i look at it.

Yup! I did that too. Bought them for $1. Watched them rise to $4. Sold them at $2. Bought some at $40 (still got them) - Bought some more at $14 (Still got them)

Now... meh! Wish I'd kept to Bitcoin exclusively!

I'm not going to sell them - I'm just gonna keep them for 12/24 months.
258  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: May 20, 2014, 02:29:59 PM
I like a rally as much as the next guy - but I would prefer slow and steady growth over a sustained period.

....However. There's nothing wrong with a rally every day over a sustained period!

That also works for me.
259  Economy / Speculation / Re: Your bets for 2014 on: April 12, 2014, 07:22:40 PM
Bump.
260  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 12, 2014, 10:40:44 AM
If it's not obvious which direction to trade, don't trade. These consolidations are here to give you a break.

I've not been buying or selling since $600. Now I'm just sitting on the fence.
